Lovely food, the fish is fresh and the batter crisp. Chips are not at all greasy and portions are generous. The menu is extensive and the food always tasty.

Food is always delicious and the service is always quick

Pizza are perfect but the chips were black and burnt left over by the looks of it sad! But pizzas you can go wrong!

Great service, very quick. Parking can be a bit awkward but first time we stopped.

I will be totally honest. I arrived as they were actually closing down. Sorry, it was a case of taking whatever they had left. I had some chips. And potato fritter, both of which were very nice. Although there were not many chicks, it was sold as a cone which is the smallest size. And not having been here before I can't tell you if it was smaller than usual because there was No time for them to cook more chips due to closing. No complaints though it was good enough for me, I'm just being open and honest as I am with all my reviews. Please give a thumbs up if you found this useful Thank you

Had mixed meat and chips Chicken was dry and full of hard bits Chips were over done

First time & last time. 1. No credit cards accepted.. Cash only (HMRC comes to mind) 2. I had £15 in cash but was refused 50p’s 20p’s & additional £1 coins only to be told they could only accept 5x £1 coins..Notes were accepted 3. Charged 10p for a fork 4. Charged 30p for a flimsy white plastic bag for my fish chips, battered sausage & curry sauce. 5. Fish… The batter was smooth & oozing with grease / oil..Not fit for consumption. 6. Chips were dark brown & soggy.. Not fit for consumption. 7. Battered Sausage was ok 8. Curry Sauce was ok Overall a complete waste of money. I felt physically sick after a few mouthfuls of fish & chips.. before binning them.. I certainly will not be going back apart from to demand a refund & an explanation as to how these people are allowed to sell such poor food. Not Impressed at all.

I have been here 3 times now, first time I had a fishcake cob, second time a doner cob (which was absolutely massive) and today I've had pie, chips and peas. Never had a problem with any of the food I've ordered and cheaper than some other chippys. Ignore the negative reviews, there's always pleasant staff working here and always nice, hot, tasty food. Some people are just expecting High end London restaurant food on a good old fashioned chip shop budget. Ignore them, this is a good chippy and I'll definitely be back 😋

Worst fish and chips we've had for years. Our first and last time there

the food was hot warm and very tasty we had 2 kebabs both freshly cut from the spit was very filling the food was only £13.30 which i think is a great value for the ammount you get andy is a great owner with a great personalty his other staff memebers are great warm and welcoming awsell keep up the good work

The company I work for order from here every Tuesday. From the Chairman & the MD down to the shop floor staff. Always very helpful & efficient. Good value for money without cutting back on portion size. Thank you & see you again next week.

Really disappointed, ordered fish chips and a saveloy sausage, chips weren’t that nice the fish didn’t taste fresh and the batter was hard, the saveloy looked like it was left out all day and tough as an old boot… won’t be going again 😅

If you want fresh tasty kebab meat, don't come here, It was cold and like cardboard, you should be ashamed of yourself. The chips were all scabby too, I've been recommending your chippy but I won't anymore, so disappointed.

My first kebab for many years. It was was not freshly cut but was taken from a "heated" draw and was obviously left overs from either lunch time or even the previous night. It was like eating cold cardboard. Got 1 star for the chips and salad. I'll not go there again that's for sure.

Nice people...1 person at a time due to CoVid. Small chips are exactly that, bit on the over cooked side.One person at best. The fish is nice but ideally needs to all be covered in batter as the bit that isn't is dry, burnt and crunchy. The batter is soft and not crispy for most part. Really nice though. Might just be me and the day I went, If they can sort those out it would be a definite 5 star.

Greasy chips and burnt chicken with some kind of gross herby outer. Fish was in short supply in a mountain of batter and what there was was waxy and dry. Don't waste your cash on this!

Used to be a good chip shop but don’t know what’s happened to them recently. Food is always sent cold, pizza was burnt on top and still soggy underneath with grated cheese under the burnt top layer?! When ringing back last week to let them know we had to warm up the majority of the meal he denied the food was cold several times, kept arguing and never apologised for it, despite happening a few times now with cold food being sent. Their excuse is they can’t send everyone’s orders out seperately so apparently it’s fine to receive cold food instead! They don’t care about your feedback, only the money. Not friendly or helpful. If you complain their excuse is ‘well no one else has complaiend’ But clearly from their recent reputation and reviews others have complained.🙄 Shame it’s gone down hill as it used to be great, but the new young male who answers the phone needs customer service training first and to sort his attitude out! I’d stay away from here and avoid wasting your money.

Disappointed with the way this chip shop has got! Regularly ordered from them, but I’m afraid won’t again, when ringing up to give feedback we got abuse and called a liar on the phone! Not bothered about customers at all

Andy and his team are fast, friendly, and produce lovely food. It's a chippy you get what you see but the chips are good, batter is crispy not soggy and they do a good selection of pizzas. Also offer delivery.

Appalling. Doner meat was dry and curled up - pretty sure it was at least a day old. Chilli sauce was sweet and sickly . Pitta breads uncooked and everything was cold. Go elsewhere.

I ordered some cheese and chips they sent out a tray full of cheese only?? I was suprised, as my friends tucked into their kebabs, I felt a bit frustrated and decided to call them. When I called the guy said in broken english, he had got it right , that is what I had ordered, I had got it wrong, he had definatly had not made any mistakes! I did ask how many trays of cheese he sells and he admitted none. The cheese went in the bin and cost me about £4 I think my experience speaks for itself. Either daft or Deaf or a mixture of both! deft!! Avoid unless you like a tray full of cheese! And communication on another level!

Really nice place for fish and chips

26/June 2018. I'm a 54 year old man had my share of chips in my time.but these must have been the worst.night before chips greasy served at dinner time.very poor.never again fish net.you have to put a star.to post it. But for me 1 star is to good for this poor chip shop.

The best fish and chips you will get in the area and the extra such as pizza hot wings and batted sausages are so good you can't beat it
