Café Rouge quickly became our favourite restaurant on the park after breakfast there on our first morning. The service was very professional and welcoming! The menu is not the most extensive, but the quality of all of the meals we had still made it hard to choose what to order. Can't wait to return!

When we stay at CP Sherwood forest we always go for breakfast at Cafe Rouge. The breakfast is always very tasty and portion sizes are good. After our most recent trip here though I felt that I had to add a positive review because of the service we received from one of the staff named Mitch. After getting to know our drinks order through the week we walked into the restaurant with our drinks waiting for us at the table. This really felt like a 5* service to us and we think that Mitch deserves to be recognised for his hard work so we hope that this review is seen by the right people so he is acknowledged for his work.

Cafe rouge Sherwood Forest with raechel was brilliant service and chicken burgers plus sea bass were not to be missed thank you Oh ps would like to say thank you to the cyclist centre staff who were first rate. Not only did they help wash down and service our own bikes after the ride they hosed us down after a wet and interesting ride in the forest .

Had an afternoon tea and our server Rachel was fantastic, always asking if we wanted more drinks which are included in the afternoon tea, never had an empty cup 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. Food was delicious, fresh scones and lovely cakes. Would 100% recommend.

One of our favourite restaurants at Center Parcs. The food and service are consistently excellent with the mussels a personal highlight. Looked after today by Rachel Street who was brilliant. Recommended.

Came for a family meal and everyone enjoyed their food and we had a lovely time. Our food was delicious and exactly what we ordered, prompt and service was efficient without feeling rushed. We were served by Jo and she was very helpful and attentive.

Lucy who served us was amazing and very attentive and so was Rachel, who seated us. The atmosphere was lovely and we got served straight away and the chocolate croissants we ordered, got given to is very quickly and were lovely and warm.

Always our favourite eatery at Center Parcs. We have had lunch and dinner here every time we visit and the food and service are always fabulous. With guests between the ages of 4 to 75 years of age we always find something on the menu whether that’s been a light bite for lunch or 3 courses at dinner. Special mention for Rachel, who served us all a few times this holiday. She was very friendly & efficient and looked after us very well.

Very disappointing, considering the outrageously overpriced food! All our food was extremely salty, and not just one dish, but all diners in our party complained of the same thing! As others have stated, it seems like they are understaffed, as service is slow, and when it does come, it doesn’t get any better. We were not even given any cutlery, and had to request it, even though our mains had been served and were going cold. When we were asked if we would like any sauces, we only requested Tomatoe Ketchup for 4 people; very clearly… we were brought 1 very small pot of mayonnaise 🫣 There were other issues such as not being able to pay via the QR Code on the table multiple times, which stated “we are having issues our end” so it wasn’t even our user error. All things which collectively resulted in a very bad experience. Thankfully, as it’s contained within Centre Parcs we won’t be able to visit again, however if we return to CP’s again, we won’t be returning to Cafe Rouge.

Me and family stayed over in Centre Parcs last weekend. One night we booked Cafe Rouge and really enjoyed it. Especially atmosphere was very friendly and our children ate all their food. I will book again in the future.

Excellent food. Excellent service, I've heard people complain they can't find "Lyon" on the kids word search, but we found it! Great staff, especially Steve, he let me keep a Leffe glass as well after I offered to pay for it. Awesome all round

The kids word search was missing a word!😡 how can you be to put it on the list but not on the actual thing! I am absolutely fuming.

Food alright, but the main issue relates to kids wordsearch. LYON does NOT exist. Why would they do this, I'm so angry I could cry.

Rachel was the best waitress! Not only was she funny and witty, but she was kind and went out of her way for me on my 40th birthday to make me birthday special. Honestly, I totally expected a restaurant in center parcs would be a car crash of food and service, but it was one of the best experiences I've had at a restaurant! We had the traditional afternoon tea which had two types of croque monsieur with a starter of garlic flat bread with camembert and caramelised onions. Everything we are was tasty, warm and filled us up a treat ! I have a friend who is fussy at the best of times and she asked for a hot sauce with her main, which unfortunately was not available. However, Rachel went out of her way to source the hot sauce and within minutes had delivered it to our table. Cannot fault the service of this fantastic restaurant and I'm now a firm Café Rouge fan. 😃😍🥰 As a side note, I stole a little bit of my friends veggie burger and it was the best veggie burger I've ever had.

Absolutely fantastic service. The food is always freshly cooked. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and really didn’t feel rushed. The manager Stevie was lovely and friendly and the staff all seemed to enjoy working there. Would highly recommend eating here.

Cafe rouge had fallen off my preference list over the last few years but in need of a quick lunch we decided to give it a go. First impressions of the restaurant were not great, the venue is in dire need of some love as it is looking a bit dilapidated. However, along comes Paul, a ray of sunshine in the gloom of the restaurant. Paul was incredibly friendly and helpful, providing exceptional customer service. I was also pleasantly surprised by the food also. We ordered the steak sandwich which was delicious and a pudding each (sticky toffee pudding and apple tarte) which were both smashing. I would certainly consider a cafe rouge again in the future based on this experience, especially if Paul is working. Just needs a bit of a refurb and it'll be top-notch all round!

Arrived at cafe rouge after walking out of Bella Italia due to being sat with no service for 25 mins! Upon arriving were greeted quickly and given a choice of tables. Our server was Jo and drinks orders and food while we waited were offered and were delivered quickly, our food order was then taken and shortly after food began to arrive. I opted for the calamari and seabass and the other guests had the soup, garlic mushrooms, steak and the mussels all which were absolutely delicious and cleared our plates! Our plates were cleared and we were offered desert I had the sticky toffee pudding which was beautiful. In the end everything ended up working for the best and we were glad we visited cafe rouge, we had mentioned our experience at Bella Italia when we arrived and the manager Cullen was quickly got and had sorted out or deposit from Bella Italia by calling guest services and sorting it all out for us. Thank you very much, saved us from a lot more hassle!

Good food, friendly staff, reasonably priced for Centre Parcs. Been twice during our stay and apart from a couple of minor issues, enjoyed the food both times.

Wonderful service from all of the team, but particularly Neve who made us feel so welcome.

We called on for teas, coffees and snacks only but saw main meals being served and enjoyed by others. Coffees & snacks were good and certainly better than items acquired from another coffee provider on the site. The tea was very good, the first time ever I've enjoyed Twinings tea - a brand I usually avoid if I see it's logo as the house brand - so good, I even ordered it on a second occasion. It was as good as the first. Service was excellent. Well done and thanks to all concerned.

Decent outpost of this chain in Sherwood Forest Centre parc. Lentil Wellington is a good vegetarian choice, tasty and satisfying portion size. Excellent service, found it superior to some other restaurants in the village.

Brilliant with allergies,I have 7 uncommon allergies and they never questioned anything, they checked all the food straight away and made sure my experience was 100% comfortable.Amazing food and great Service,very polite waiters.Definitely recommend!

On arrival we were initially very disappointed that they had no sirloin steak?! Which I still think was very bad planning by someone. However, they could see our disappointment and offered to give us our bottle of red wine for free, however they then realised that only two of us were having the red wine and brought garlic/cheese flatbreads for the whole table to enjoy which was a bit weird as we'd all ordered starters, but was still appreciated. French onion soup was particularly enjoyed, as was the 5oz steak frites. Wonderful! It was a Sunday night and rather quiet, hence no real atmosphere, but we were a party of nine so didn't really matter.

Beautiful resturant, hearty filling food, and lovely chatty staff. Our waiter was Paul, who was humorous and cheery while we had our breakfast waiting for the swimming pool to open. It was a delightful meal for my partner and I! And to make it even more delightful, when we were presented the bill by Mitch at the end, he was happy to let us know that we had been granted a magic moment discount which covered our meal. It was so sweet and our unplanned breakfast experience made the rest of our last day at centre parcs so special.

It took 40 mins and 2 reminders after us ordering drinks before we got our soft drinks. Chicken burger came out raw and when I told servers, they were very rude, disrespectful and acted like i had somehow done something wrong. Would not recommend for food or service - there’s a lady who looks like the manager who has been very rude and unwelcoming to everyone

Nice food and attentive service

Popped in for a hot chocolate and coffee today. Service was very quick, waiter was friendly and helpful. Ended up staying for some food off the ‘light bites’ menu. Steak baguette and a goats cheese tart with some fries. We were very pleased. Food was hot and arrived quickly.

Visited many times at Centre Parcs, food always good and Jo our waitress who has been there years is always very welcoming.

The staff were overrun. Seemed to be one guy on the floor struggling to keep up with demand. He was lovely, but tables were dirty, cleaning up equipment had been left everywhere. It didn’t make for a very pleasant atmosphere. The menu presented to us had limited options, so we went with the afternoon tea, which was expensive for what looked like frozen pastries. Then we noticed lots of people were having sandwiches, which we’d have preferred. These were not an option on the menu given to us – but it turns out they could be ordered via the app; wish someone would have told us about the app. Disappointing overall

The full English breakfast is great! So much food! Shame can’t be said about the “crushed” avocado on toast, which was a similar price for only 2 pieces of toast and a semi-crushed piece of avocado. If you’re looking for the best full English in Center Parcs, I think we found it.

Forgotten about in a corner of the restaurant. Had to go up & ask for sauces, ask for desert, bill etc. Deserts were delivered & we ate them whilst our main course plates were still sat on the table. Seemed like a quiet lunchtime, I'd hate to see when they're busy!

Having visited many times before, it was terrible disappointing this time. Aside from the place being virtually empty, there were very few staff, who were doing their best but its hard to express how poor this visit was. That's an £8.50 pate starter...the presentation, was as bad as the food...need I comment further.

Four items we tried to order were unavailable even though the restaurant was not busy at 6.30pm Coulis for cheesecake had also 'run out' Vegan wellington was very overcooked Table was sticky, certainly not clean and service very slow. We paid a £25 deposit which wasn't initially deducted from the bill.

Service was ok, atmosphere ok,though loud from both customers but mainly dishes. Food was disappointing - seemed stale and poorly reheated.

I am genuinely struggling to believe that so many people give this place four and five star reviews. My grown up family and I went for a lunch to give our Center Parcs break a nice (or so we thought) kickstart. The decor was nice enough and the staff (a singular waitress) was also amenable enough and she arrived to take our drink and food order nice and promptly. The table did not look like it had been thoroughly cleaned and after my forearm stuck to the table, I asked for the table to be cleaned before we were served. Bearing in mind there was only one another table in use by other customers it really shouldn't have been too difficult to clean our pre-booked table before we arrived. I ordered the pate to start and the half a (I think it said roasted) chicken. The arrival of a globule of warm pate (no attention to presentation here), served with a similar size globule of onion chutney and a hunk of untoasted, cold, not crispy baguette (no butter provided or offered) and no salad, tempered the expectation somewhat. It was not pleasant. The chicken was then served in between the starter plates as nobody had bothered to remove them or replace the used cutlery, and looked like it had been deep-fried rather than roasted, again no salad. For the accompanying fries, think microwave chips. I asked both the waitress and a guy I presumed was the manager for a fresh knife and fork in order to be able to eat my main course. After waiting for a good ten minutes I went to the open kitchen to ask the staff for cutlery and they at least were apologetic and had it provided quickly. The chicken and chips were both extremely poor and very dry and I find it incredulous that a nationwide chain could provide such poor quality food and service, especially at the prices they charge. I won't be going back.

What's happened to Cafe Rouge??? Used to be so nice, definitely gone downhill, well in Centre Parcs Sherwood Forest for sure. Mussels were mushy, over cooked and bland, the waitress (she was nice) brought over a second pot of mussels and we're exactly the same consistency but cooked by another chef. This tells me it's not the cooking but the frozen and defrosted mussels itself, definitely not fresh. So disappointed. Not to mention sticky tables, missing cutlery, dirty cutlery etc. Come on management, you should be doing your job to make the restaurant a better place, pull your finger out! *Centre Parcs, you should be making checks on these establishments. Just spoils the whole experience.

Had afternoon tea. Food seemed to have been prepared "by numbers" with no love or care. Service was inattentive and sloppy. Decor was tired. Could do with a course in quality management throughout.

They was very busy however our waitress L Elise was amazing was very calm under pressure even had time give our gigs treats .

Great all round, no problems with anything except my partner thought the coffee was weak compared to Swedish coffee. But they solved it with something stronger. Friendly and helpful staff, great choice of dishes on the menu, but not too many. Went for brunch around 11, was fairly quiet.

The food was pretty awful but the staff were pleasant and changed our inedible mussels for the merely bland butternut squash Wellington with out any issues.

After arriving at centre parcs feeling pretty hungry we decided to eat at cafe rouge. We had to ask a staff member if we needed to be seated, and was told we needed to speak to a manager, why? We did get seated by the manager and since there was 6 of us we were given a table close to the bar. This was a high traffic area and people were constantly walking past us, when your wanting to relax and have something to eat the last thing you need is people constantly around you. The menu. The menu didn't really have a great deal to choose from, and with fancy names made things seem more exciting than it was. My wife decided to have a croque monsieur, which roughly translates to a cheese and ham toasty, at a cost of £11.95 I had the chicken baguette priced at £13.50, don't get me wrong it was very nice, but the price for what you get made us feel like we were been robbed, Our kids had 3 childrens meals and the price for it all thid came to nearly £65 quid. A word of warning there is a 7.5% surcharge on top as well. A place like this isn't no good to someone like me who has had to save frugally to enjoy 5 days away.

We were served by Nour. Best service I have experienced in hospitality in as long as I can remember. Coming from someone who works in hospitality the service was above and beyond expectations and the chain should be more than proud to have such a gentleman representing them. A* service, blown away, whatever he’s being paid he deserves more :)

We came here to eat as a table of 11, that being 6 adults, and 5 kids aged between 12 and 3. The staff weren't phased at all. They handled it all in their stride and were really friendly and polite throughout our visit. The food was good. I had the prawns which were good, although it was disappointing this size of the portion (just 5 prawns which for almost £9 seems expensive) and that the shells were left on because removing the shells to eat meant a lot of the flavours from the garlic and chilli were lost. Mopping the sauce up with the bread was delicious, though. I was told the camembert was delicious, as was the mushroom toast and the French onion soup. The mushroom I was told was a very generous portion. I had the half roast chicken, and it was amazing. So moist and full of flavour. Would definitely recommend it. I was told the beef bourguignon was really good, not too rich but still full of flavour. The mussels were great, too, and a decent size portion. For families, it's worth noting there is a little padded play area. Feedback from our kids is they loved it, this showed too by them heading over between courses whenever they were done eating, meaning we could enjoy some adult conversation. Overall, it was a great experience and worth visiting if you're in centre parcs and fancy a meal out!

We really tried to like this location as we have always loved Cafe Rouge but it was continually disappointing. We had an expensive dinner and then an expensive breakfast here. We found the service was lovely, but the kitchen/cooking was terrible. :( The pastries we ordered were still frozen in the middle (aka not fresh), they just used sliced deli meat for the ham Benedict, and the veggie breakfast corn cake was terrible (and reheated). The evening food was slightly better, however this is apparently the only branch with no Crème Brulee. WHY?

Very poor quality food. Service dependant on that nights management (Tuesd). The potatoes accompanying the sea bass were cooked in cheap cooking oil - inedible. The jackfruit Tangine was mainly over spicy sauce with lumpy couscous. Definitely not £20 dishes with automatic service charge. Complained. Was asked if I came to CP frequently. Was offered token £5 reduction. Declined it but didn’t return. Business based on captive, short stay customers. Not CP standard.
