OYO Ashiana in Newark and Sherwood

Two rooms booked for 4 adults. My wife and I arrived first and thought we would check in whilst waiting for our friends. Discovered that they had overbooked and wanted to give us one room with two double beds. Tried speaking with 4 different staff members but nobody could tell us how this happened. The 2 men were extremely rude and just not interested. Would never book here again. They eventually found a room in a different hotel for our friends and we finished up leaving and booking in there as well

This proved to be a pleasant surprise First, top marks to the staff. I was arriving very late and they were happy to help me. The room, well this is more a motel. There is a row of 10 adjoining rooms in a building separate from the restaurant. Each room has a front door and parking outside. Sone rooms had outside lights, mine did not so it was a bit dark and tricky to find the correct room on first arriving. I had 2 comfy double beds, more than adequate for one! A small couch in the corner. A big bathroom with walk in shower. The TV was not programmed and the remote did not work. I bought some extra batteries but that was not the issue, the remote itself was broken. I managed to programme the TV manually, I like a challenge, and then had to change the channels manually too. It did not bother me, I was working long hours so had little time or interest in TV watching, but it could have been an issue for others... I expect to return to the area for work and will definitely be looking to stay here again

They need work on dusting and room was nice very roomy but ,staff not glue on what going and we had ask nother cup and more tea and cofffe, with glass ,best night sleep I had long time ,but need work on room bit room ,room 9 key need sort ,,we will come back hope improvement .

2nd stop there enjoyable, only downside was no towels. Went to ask but no one about.

The rooms for filthy and I would not stay again the reception staff for not very friendly and altogether not a nice experience

Rooms are really tired and requires a lot of decorating and new furniture 🙄

Great tasting food and a good variety to choose from. Rooms are basic, but priced accordingly. Will visit again soon!

Shameful! Booked in my Nan and grandad for an overnight due to a party. Advised they are elderly and need disability access which in the phone told was fine! When they turned up refused them a room and said it hadn’t been booked. When I explained the issue, as I couldnt advise who I spoke to in the phone they couldn’t book them in resulting in them having to find alternative location at the age of 90 and 92! Shameful! Used to love the food but with this experience I definitely won’t be visiting again and definitely won’t be referring ashiana!

Did not like the greeting as it seemed like they were not bothered, and the rooms really need at least a cheap touch up especially bathrooms. But there are definitely signs cleaning 😁 but overall it wasn't too bad, it was warm and very spacious room, so I would come back for the price.

Covid guidelines in place and working fine staff all wearing masks, service polite helpful friendly nothing to much trouble outside eating area heated , ruggs there if needed and food amazing carnt wait to go back again

Restaurant packed with about 70 people no covid rules being adhered to. Unable to park because of all cars parked due to restaurant being full.

Love this place never seems to disappoint

Clean rooms helpful staff and really reasonable prices.

Stayed in the rooms at the back, clearly not been cleaned for a long time, blood stains on the mattresses and fleas clearly seen jumping round the room, dirty water in the kettle, carpets that were badly laid in the 60s and never cleaned since, an absolute disgrace, avoid at all costs thos is the worst place I've ever stayed!!!

Delicious food, friendly staff and a lovely family run business. I highly recommend Ashiana!

Best Indian restaurant for miles

Basic room Farley clean can tell it's a motel and not used a lot decent price and the restaurant food is absolutely AMAZING so tastey it is pricey but it's well worth it there very friendly too

Stayed here for a wedding close by, i have a mixed review. They agreed to wait for my mum to arrive at 12.30am, when she arrived they wouldnt let her in and left her stranded. I was very upset when I arrived later that day I asked to speak to manager who was no around, they didn't offer any explinaton or refund. On the other hand it was in a good location for us and had basic things for the night, was good value for money . Just poor customer service.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel as there had been mixed reviews. Whilst it is obvious that the primary business is the restaurant the addition of rooms this close to the main trunk road network is a great idea. Accommodation is perhaps akin to many budget motels, but the rooms are spacious, have reasonable furnishings and are warm and clean with en-suite bathrooms. Only real downside is the lack of breakfast. The restaurant is very good and should be the first choice for your evening meal if you are staying here

Booked several rooms, as stayed over for a wedding nearby. Very pleasantly surprised the reviews certainly don’t do it justice! All very clean, modern,tidy, & reasonably priced. Absolutely fantastic restaurant, we wanted to stop and eat there but instead sampled the great selection of drinks from the Gin menu and cocktails pre wedding. We ordered take-out to be left in our room upon our return from the wedding and it didn’t disappoint!

The food here is absolutely wonderful. Good portions and really tasty. The staff are very friendly, and you can eat there or order a takeaway. I have done both and haven’t been disappointed once. Will definitely keep using.

Spacious room, nice bathroom, 2 double beds, powerful shower and a curry house next door. Spot on for price.

The room was lovely and the service was great. Also being near the motorway was great and you do not hear the roads at night. Only about 10 minutes drive to Newark so close to shopping. I would recommend Ashians as a place to stay.

The room was just as advertised and the restaurant was extremely good, with excellent customer service.

The rooms are basic but clean, and quite spacious. The location is quite remote, so you will need a car to get to anything nearby likeshops, train station etc. The restaurant serves nice enough standard Indian food. The check in time being 5pm is quite late.
