The Filling Station in Rhondda Cynon Taf

Wouldn’t even leave one star if I had to. Spent nearly £16 on pizza and my partner had meat and chip the attitude from the owner was disgusting. He had poor hygiene took my money gave change not wash or sanitising his hands carried on doing my meal with his thumb inserted in my partner meal . On the plus said a member of staff come over and asked if everything was ok at least dale cared about where he worked

Have no idea what this is, has the consistency of a jelly, absolutely disgusting. Would not recommend.

This evening I placed an order at this restaurant and much to my irritation they declined the order. Looking at the reviews it seems like they did us a favour! Other reviews are a must read!

I popped in here on the way home from a shopping trip to Talbot Green. There was a lovely inside seating area and there was lots to choose from including kebabs, pies, burgers, chicken and so on. I ordered sausage, chips and gravy. The food was delivered to my table promptly by a friendly member of staff. The food tasted really good, was nicely presented and was really cheap.

i called in and asked for a large doner with everything and chips and 3 pieces of chicken meal and chips. When the food arrived the doner came with no chips and the chicken came with fries. i was so disappointed i called back and they said they would deliver a tray of chips but nothing turned up what a load of lying incompetent load of idiots. dont buy anything from them however desperate you r for a keebab...

Called in for salad and chips with additional curry sauce. A rare fast food experience. Not bad at all. Large portions, tasty curry with a good portion of salad. Service good and the food was fresh. Minimal wait due to no one else at the facility.

I have eaten here several times and I have never been disappointed. There is something on the menu for everyone ranging from kebabs, burgers and traditional fish shop food. The food is always freshly cooked to order and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Looking forward to my next visit.

I have eaten here on a number of occasions whilst visiting friends in Wales. Every time, the staff have been welcoming and have provided an excellent service. The portion sizes are great and the prices are very reasonable. Will definitely return the next time I am in the area for fish and chips or sausage in batter and chips.

Use these quite regularly, make a kebab feel like a healthy meal as the meat is less fatty than other places and the salad is fresh and delicious. Chippy side is as good as a chippy gets, decent portions and great taste. Plenty of choice all as good as each other. Recommended. Also deliver on just eat.

Ordered food which didn’t arrive for two hours when we phoned to check where the food was we were told they were short staffed and had to basically wait. Food not great and found out later that their food hygiene was 2 I will not be purchasing from here again

Asked for chips and fishbites and was served with dried up chips that were cooked hours ago and just kept in the warmer. The fishbites were inedible, the fish had dried up inside the severaly undercooked batter. The batter was even soft on the outside so you can image the gunge it was like on the inside. A total waste of money. No wonder the place was completely empty when I went in there and when i drove past anotehr establishment in Talbot Green on the way home noticed how that place had a queue out the door so obvioulsy all those people must have been avoiding The Filling Station. I rang to tell them that the food was awful and all the young sounding female voice said was I'm sorry!

Fish batter like leather, fish fillet bone dry, chips far from the best. Service is mediocre if that. Give disappointment a miss and go to McDonald's, much better considering its only fast food.

Have eaten here a couple of times now. Very friendly, good wholesome food. English breakfasts, burgers, fish and chips, kebabs. Large clean toilet, baby changing facilities

Stopped here for coffee. the girls who served us presented as being very sullen. She did not exchange any pleasantries and never smiled throughout the transaction. The one toilet was filthy. There was no soap, no hand dryer and no towels, paper or otherwise. I was not surprised to see this place only had a hygene rating of 3. Well actually I am, I thought it would have been lower.

Okay there are some rust marks where the legs of the tables join the floor but except for those marks the floor was spotless as were the tables and chairs. The chairs and tables are fastened together and there was too much of me to get into the space available. A free standing chair was cheerfully placed at the end of a table; problem solved. I had ordered a small fish with chips. When it arrived I was amazed at the size of the fish; it was a lot larger than I was expecting. It was freshly cooked as were the chips and it all tasted delicious. I have never eaten here before but will certainly do so again.

The service was ok. Staff were friendly.The food was ok even though a lady sat opposite us complained about her food not tasting 'quite right'. No action by the staff to resolve her complaint and the lady ended up taking the filling out of her bread roll onto her plate and eating the bread roll with nothing in it..The establishment was very dirty. The toilet and toilet area was very dirty with no form of drying your hands. No antibacterial soap or soap provided in toilet area. The condements on the tables were dirty with sauce caked on the outside of the plastic bottles, which meant your hands were covered in sauce. The staff stood behind the counter chatting when no customers to serve, when in fact they could have been clearing away used plates and cutlery and wiping down the tables. To sum 'The Filling Station' up - Very dirty place.I would not be in a hurry to visit this cafe in the future.

great prices lovely hot choc and latte. great food , really friendly staff. even got delivery to the hotel

Bought a take away tonight, I have never used the restaurant before but the meal was lovely and plentiful, and the staff very pleasant and helpful. Going back on Saturday to try one of their kebabs

Decent food and a nice cappuccino, didn't dent the wallet either, very clean interior. Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.

Eaten here a few times - got take-out mostly. The fish and chips are okay, nothing to write home about but it's good enough when you want a quick bite!

my experience of the filling station i have eaten there twice and each experience hasnt been that good food not very appetising and the staff not very helpful

This is such a great place to eat and plenty of choice as you have chippy at one counter and pizza, chicken, burger and kabab at another. I had a pizza and it was so nice and fresh. The staff were really friendly. This prices are reasonable. Would recommend and defiantly return.

We dropped our car of for repair at a garage nearby and fond this place for a spot of lunch. They have your normal Fish & Chip shop food on offer as well as Pizza and Jacket potatoes and Salad etc., etc.,We ordered 2 x Jacket potatoes and 2 x lattes and had change from £10..The food was lovely, generous portion size and hot. The coffee was also very good.The staff were friendly and helpful.I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a good meal at a reasonable price.
