I noticed that previous reviews were 3-4 years old. I Visited the Fidler's Rest in 2023 with a group of friends. It was my first visit. The landlord was welcoming but the real ale offer was uninspiring, and there are much better options available elsewhere in Bolsover. I think that the pub has a good set of regulars who are obviously happy with what is on offer, but it is certainly no longer a real ale paradise

This pub is still the place for well kept beer and ales. Went in to meet up with old friends. Very knowledgeable Landlord, on his beers and ales. There's always one ale I like on tap here. Superb boozer.

Doesn't do food anymore, but it has a good range of real ales as well as lagers. Nice surroundings. Great ambience in the pub, with the regular clientele. This is how a pub should be. Miss it when I'm away.

17-19 Rectory RoadMy mum and dad are receiving meals delivered by “take a break”. I can’t speak highly enough and thank them for what they offer. Obliging and caring. Delivered hot and the previous crockery picked up. My mum is used to cooking meals but she says how tasty and delicious their food is. Very important when you are not on your best form. The meals have fresh vegetables and certainly are a generous plate full. All the meals go down well. Thank you to the team and keep up this important service.
