Called in an afternoon while on a boat. No carvery day but the food we ordered was lovely . Really lovely lady served us came over for a chat and a fuss with the dogs . The open fire was much appreciated as there was a rain storm that day . Lots of work being do e to take the paint from the old wood and bringing it back to life . Fab place to just relax and eat or just have a drink.

Had a really delicious dinner here, we had 4 small plates for £12 which is such a good deal given the location and size and quality! The menu had definitely improved since the last time we were here £20 for mooring is a little excessive but you do get it back from eating so it's not a massive problem! The child play area was great for our 2 year old and everywhere was dog friendly as well. Overall will be coming back!

We picked this place because of the small plates menu and we were not disappointed. It is four plates for £12 (four for the price of three). They were all very well cooked and tasty. My only comment would be that the presentation was a bit basic, apart from the brie on toast with cranberry compote which came with a small dressed side salad. The pub is dog friendly and the staff were very welcoming

We've visited Ferry Inn on numerous occasions over the years whilst holidaying on The Norfolk Broads. This occasion was a short break in a houseboat locally. We wanted a carvery for Sunday dinner and knew that Ferry Inn was always a good no fuss option. The meals are good value and the carvery is generous on the meat portions! You get to choose the rest, so it depends on how much of a piggy you are 😂. They do have a decent amount of GF options too on the other menu. With even burgers being served with GF buns. There is plenty of seating indoors and out, dog friendly too. It has never been a fine dining venue, but we love it as it's always suited us on holiday.

The guy serving the carvery for some reason plates up your food on top of the sneeze guard for the meats. This unnecessary caused him to fumble and drop the meat from his utensils, as it slapped the plate it flicked loads of brown sauce and meat over my shirt. The guy didn’t even acknowledge his mistake nor apologise. Absolute amateurs. Just put the plate next to the meat then you a) don’t have far to travel with the utensils and b) don’t risk covering the customers with sauce.

Booked a table for a birthday dinner. In years gone by this was such a great pub/restaurant at the waters edge on the Broads. I was eager to re-visit. Massive disappointment! The tables outside were tatty, paint peeling, dirty and several parasols broken. The threshold at the main entrance was absolutely filthy and the floor inside sticky and dirty too. We ordered two drinks but didn't announce our arrival for our booked table because we didn't want to eat there. If the state of the bar was anything to go by, the thought of what the kitchen might be like turned our stomachs. This Inn has such a fantastic spot on the Broads but it needs a facelift and thorough deep-clean!

I feel very sorry for this pub it has had a really tough time with flooding, run down state that it was in when taken over. That is where my sympathy ends, 11 of us went for my mums birthday meal last night it was Terrible. My husband ordered spicy prawns to start with, they all four of them were served in tin patty tin as were all the other starters. The pie was awful, gravy set in the jug like a jelly. The gammon which four had was tough no one finished it . Chilli was ok but just thrown on a huge pile of Nachos along with the other sides and grated cheese. Scampi and children’s sausage and chips fine, we all wished we had choosen them. The menu was so limited believe it or not Fish and chips was not even an option. The service was awful we gave up after two courses. Come on this pub prime position mid summer, should be packed, such a shame.

When we eventually found someone, they had to find us a table as one wasn't set up already? No one brought us a menu, or told us to order at the bar so was sat awhile before we enquired. The starter came out after along time & was only garlic bread but was extremely hot, but the main came out warm & this took a further 30 mins after eating starter. Absolutely shocking definitely wouldn't recommend, they all seemed more bothered about the wedding party. The food was awful.

I visited Ferry Inn in Horning with my family on a Sunday for their carvery. A ska band was playing, which added a fun and enjoyable atmosphere to the experience. Saying that, there weren't many people watching, which was a shame. However, there were a few issues that dampened the visit. Firstly, they didn't have mint sauce, which was surprising. I've never been to a carvery that doesn't offer mint sauce, and it took away from my enjoyment as I always have it with my roast. While the food itself was lovely, my biggest annoyance was the presence of five dogs around the area where I was eating. I found it quite unsanitary, and getting whiffs of dog while trying to enjoy my meal was unpleasant. Overall, the music and food were good, but the lack of mint sauce and the dogs around the eating area were significant downsides.

Excellent pub, service and food we're second to none. Recommended 100%. Thank you for a pleasurable afternoon, even if the local Heron did try to steal our food off the table!!🤣🤣
