Waited an hr for food only panini and chips asked for drinks without ice !!! Got ice !!! Food was ok shame about the wait

Myself and my mate ended our Saturday night and The Ferry Boat Inn I'm glad we did it was an amazing place to go to. we did not eat there but the food smelt amazing the staff are very friendly the drinks are not badly priced highly recommend a vist I now I will be going back there if I'm in the area.

Great place nice to get away from the campsite sometimes nice and clean now it's been refurbished.

Not good since Haven have taken over in fact nothing good to say about it. No reason to go up the north end now. Bring back the good old days when it was dog friendly. Bring back Duncan and Kath they could serve a decent pint and the place had a heart.

Probably the worst pub food I have ever had, seaside town and the fish tastes it’s been out of date for a week, frozen chips and the worst mushy peas ever. How to get it this wrong I will never know. Take your own sandwich’s to the beach

First time ever been in. Staying at golden sands who now own it. Refitted very well. Live sports the girl behind the bar was brilliant, had bit food that was great also. Strongly recommended 👌

It's alright actually. The food is standard pub fayre, the prices are holiday club prices, but that doesn't make it bad.

Not many people in decided to order food only 2 other tables ordered food in front of us. Only do basic food no fancy big meals shouldn't take too long! 1 hr wait till our food arrived no pre warning about a delay and that it would take soo long I hadn't eaten all day so was starting to feel a little shaky if I had known we would of gone elsewhere . And to top it off my meal was not what I ordered they sent out a double beef burger when I ordered a chicken burger I can't eat beef. Told her she said you didn't order chicken I said yes I did!! So she went to till got a receipt printed off she said its says double beef burger well that's not what I ordered I went up to bar as server said there's extra to pay any normal bar would say sorry our fault no extra payment. the women who took our meal order said yes u did order chicken burger I put it down wrong! It's the same price! But then it was another 3o mins before that arrived. Very disappointed what a shambles. Having to eat on my own as my partner and daughter had finished there meals even though we come out to eat together as a family. As for the food was not nice at all. Could tell it was cheap processed food just by looking at it! The server basically called me a liar about what I'd ordered. And that put me right off some customer service skills Course wouldn't go a miss with that server!! she was very abrupt the rest of the time I was there. Making me feel at unease!

Lovely place near the beach and seal sanctuary It's been refurbished and been coming here many of years as much as I loved the old ferry boat it needed some touching up and it looks and feels nicer

Fantastic revamped pub/restaurant, nice simple menu, with really reasonable prices. Really friendly staff, a minutes walk from the shore. Really happy to see this open, I've been coming to Mablethorpe for 25+ years and first time I'c seen it open. Highly recommended the visit. Arcade attached, and seaside kiosk also. Great little business.

Food was spot on for pub grub,chicken burger was bang on,real chicken not a processed burger and food was hot. Menu was also adapted for our veggie eaters freinds. Tables are nice a clean as both the rest of the bar and food areas.really nice place to eat from the hustle of town and the bus and land train stop outside. Well done to the owners for the fantastic turnaround.

I can recommend this place staff courteous drinks good and we had excellent chicken, bacon, cheese panninies, great place clean toilets too .

This is the vast place to visit when on holiday glad I stop here ,the family arcade is amazing recommend to all ages and dog friendly.

We popped in for a spot of lunch on our way to the seal sanctuary, before we got our food the service was excellent, lovely staff and very helpful. Our food arrived and was outstanding, totally delicious. The inside of the building is decorated to high quality and the decor is pristine . A perfect eating experience for all of the family. There were seven of us in total from a one year old to a sixty year old. Every one left very happy.

Nice pub right near the beach. Much quieter than the Haven pub on the caravan park. Nicely decorated & outdoor seating. Drinks reasonably priced. Serving a small menu of food too. Very nice.

Way too expensive. Supposed ti be familybpub but no high chairs. Supposed to be dog friendly but no water bowls. They gave my dog a plastic cup of water . Ridiculous

Would have been 5 star if food was available but they were closing down next day for a 3 month refurbishment. Looking forward to going back.

After living in Mablethorpe for 2 years I thought I'd return to some of the old haunts. Ordered a pint of cider and a bottle of peroni paid £10.18 for two drinks. Any other bar in Sutton on sea or Mablethorpe? Average price is £7/£7.50 for two drinks. Your venue looks like it has had no upgrade or care or attention in the last 10 years. As a pub owner myself I wouldn't have the scruples to rip people off like that.i will not visit this establishment again

Never saw it open during the week we were there, 2nd week in September, can't say much else about it.

Loved this place had a Great weekend the bar staff was Spot on made every one welcome and joined in with great banter Guinness was a very good pint top marks

Unfortunately our visit was disappointing. It is in a great, convenient location close to a gorgeous beach and Seal Sanctuary, with transport to and from Mablethorpe by bus, Land-train or close by Sand-train. Sadly it needs a bit of TLC and drinks are more expensive than in town. Hopefully things will improve.

This place is not even a shadow of the place it once was. We felt like we were invading and shouldn't have been there. This is a pub and they wanted us gone by 10pm they said they wanted to close so we had our 1 drink and off we went. This was a Friday night. The only reason I've given a star is because you have to do at least that to do the review and the girl was lovely and very apologetic about the situation and she gave our dogs a treat. This was once a lovely pub with entertainment and food and a good place to grab things for the beach. It's so sad to see what's happened to it. It played a part in one of the many things that ruined our holiday to Mablethorpe. Been going for many years but we think it's time we moved on because Mablethorpe sure isn't going to, it seems it just wants to go backwards in time.

First time here. Staff lovely and friendly. We sat outside as it was sunny but inside was well kept. They keep a good pint which is obviously important 😉 and prices are reasonable. Definitely worth a visit

The Ferry Boat Inn has gone downhill since Haven have took over, it is rowdy, drinks are far too expensive, amusements are broken. It’s sad too see this once lovely, pleasant and affordable pub turn into a rowdy, expensive pub. It was so busy that we couldn’t even move without bumping into someone. I think it’s got busier because people who are staying on the haven golden sands site get a discount. 6 Pound just for 1 glass of coke…. Just because we didn’t stay on the haven site, we stayed on a site near Mablethorpe in a village.

Nice quiet pub with an arcade for the kids, staff were lovely. And yes you can take your dog in, we had no issue taking ours in

Fantastic restaurant and bar, very well maintained and not expensive, it's owned by Haven now but food is so much better and cheaper, the manager is brilliant and the assistant manager is so helpful, cheers for a great holiday guys, Pete and viv Muir from Glasgow Very sad to see how it is now four years later, haven have ruined it, only open at night, no food at all, we loved stopping off on the way to the beach for food and a a drink then on the way back a few drinks, now nothing 😭

100% great that Haven have opened this back up, but it's a little run down and smells abit damp, needs a lick of paint. But really good it's there, somewhere else to go when your at golden sands

Now the venue has been reopened finally by Haven it is however very well managed and a decent pint to be had. The venue currently offers no food options. There is a small arcade and there are clean male and female and disabled toilets available. The venue also has outside seating under a small canopy. There is a theme of sports in the venue with screens all over the venue to watch the sporting action. There is a pool table available. The prices are as expected nowadays for drinks so no real surprises to the costs. If you meet Ben he is the leading the team regularly in the ferryboat and an outstanding chap an asset to Haven holidays staffing teams.

Great staff. Very friendly. Good food. UPDATE. Since Haven have taken it over it's rubbish. The staff haven't got a clue. Unnecessary waiting. Poor poor service. THIS IS NOT A DOG FRIENDLY ESTABLISHMENT. They are NOT allowed inside. The last reviewer is wrong. Kids welcome yes dogs no. UPDATE. After 2 years of closure the place has opened again. Still rubbish. Ridiculous prices for a beach bar. Run by teenagers that wouldn't be let near a bar in Haven itself.

Was a lovely pub unit bought by Haven and they do not seem to be interested in having it open. an asset to Mablethorpe North end for many years . I do hope it will reopen sometime soon.

It was probably because it was out of season but it was empty and I don't think the heating was on. The few people who were in there were watching football but were sat in almost complete silence other than the odd expletive questioning the referees' parents marital status at the time of his birth. The looks we got seemed to indicate that our conversation was disturbing them and because of that we didn't stay to eat, we just had a coffee and left. Thinking back, that might explain why the place was empty.

I’ve just gone on a site looking for dog friendly restaurants and it mentioned the ferry boat inn !! Last year I was told I could no longer bring my dog in ? You (the management) need to remove your business from from dog friendly sites as you are no longer

We were recommended to visit and we must admit it was great on the Canal the staff we very good and helpful the afternoon tea. Was just perfect thank you all a visit that all must try

Taken over by by Golden sands so nowhere to sit with dogs like there used to be. We were staying at Golden sands & could not check in until 4pm, this meant we had to stay out in the pouring rain for several hours. Golden sands have a pub on site that has no dog's so I don't understand why they can't have a small area indoors at this pub. They allow dog's in some of their caravans but don't cater at all for people with dog's!!

Not a bad night out even if the young barmaid got our simple order wrong three separate times in one night. The entertainment makes up for staff shortcomings

Haven own this pub, clean and modern but the food very basic, and not cooked well. But if you like chips And rice then it's for you.

We are currently staying at Haven’s Golden Sands Holiday Park. Having eaten the last two evenings as a family of 6 in Haven’s Quayside Restaurant we thought that we would give their Ferry Boat Inn a try. Wednesday 21/08/2019 about 6pm. What a mistake to make. Not a great impression when you first walk up to the pub, litter everywhere and plastic flowers in the hanging baskets which have seen better days. We went in looked for a table to eat but before even ordering food changed ours minds the place was quite dirty. Food all over the carpets, all over the floor from previous customers & just a general mess everywhere. Empty bottles on the floor etc. We then decided to just get a drink and sit outside. On ordering the drinks the staff seemed like they just couldn’t be bothered being there. Pity really as the rest of the Haven staff on the main complex have all been really good. We went outside drank up and left, went back to the Quayside restaurant for food. Speaking to some local regulars that used to go to this pub Haven have ruined it. Needs a lot of money investing in the place. We will not be going back again.

Had burger and chips for 7 quid. Burger was small in a big bun. Would have been nice with a slice of tomato and onion. Chips were cold . Not great. 2 star venue with 4 star prices

Gone down hill since haven took over, £4 for a small bottle of bud. Food menu not as good as used to be.

The place smelt of damp there was no daytime atmosphere at all. The games room is dated and we had flies around the seating area. The toilets stink too. The Ferryboat venue does not reflect the superb main haven complex at Golden Sands and to say that it is part of your venue is a disappointment. It's a good job it's out of the way and you have to decide to go there specifically rather than it being specifically integral to the main venue. Sorry HAVEN but this venue is not showing how great Golden Sands actually is to enjoy, I hate to say it. Sorry.

Very friendly and relaxing loved it.

Fish and chips was fine the first time but chips were greasy and anemic the second time. Fish was lovely though and they swapped mushy peas for garden peas happily.

If your'e looking for cheap & cheerful, then this is definately the place for you. Even my picky husband enjoyed his meal (& that is Such a big Plus!)

We stayed in mablethorpe for 4 nights and we ate here 3 nights out of the 4, food was spot on and very reasonable..Worth a visit.

A meal I had was nice but peas was cold a chips just warm, I like tarta sauce with my scampi but they didn't have any and only had lime not lemon
