An amazing waitress names Kat served us and she was so kind . Food was hot and fresh . Definitely coming again !

Popped into here for a bit of brekkie and to escape the rain with some friends and all ordered some brekkie. Our server (kat I believe) was lovely and attentive. The breakfast was quick and made to perfection, it also had the added benefit of being extra hot. It was amazing, would defo come back for the food itself. But the drinks? They were great too. Amazing orange juice, a decent size pot of tea and the hot chocolate with cream was amazing. All and all an amazing place for brekkie that doesn't break the bank account. Would defo be back!

We were served breakfast by Kat and it was incredible! Such good value and the food came out piping hot. One of the best breakfasts we’ve had for sure. Hot chocolate, tea and OJ all delicious aswell. 10/10 recommend for brekkie!

We had planned to go somewhere else but they were unexpectedly closed. We saw Husseys did gluten free so got a takeaway as we had the dog with us. Gluten free fish and chips, normal battered sausage and chips and some mushy peas. It was enjoyable. The fish portion could have been a little larger but the gluten free batter was nice and crispy. We would have again.

Really enjoyed a fish and chip supper here. The service was great and the food was great value. Would thoroughly recommend a visit.

Popped in for lunch on Friday 30th August, by far the best fish and chip shop in Skegness, friendly staff, quick service and not to mention the batter on the fish, it was brilliant not fatty or thick and oily that you normally find. Please don't change your recipe your fish is great keep up the good work. I will drive another 50 miles just to have your fish and chips By the way I had the regular cod and chips.

Great setting, lovely decor and atmosphere. Very helpful and friendly staff. The best batter on our cod fish. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

I cannot praise the staff here enough friend collapsed in here on 28th July. The staff came straight to me to help. She had collapsed because of the heat she was also dehydrated as she had drank very little fluid that morning. A young lad staff member was backwards and forwards bring ice cold wet teatowels till the ambulance arrived. I had only a couple of bits of my fish. Once my friend was taken to the ambulance, the staff came and asked if I wanted anything all I could manage was a cup of tea and a slice of bread and butter. I was so worried. Forty five minutes they worked on her in the ambulance. They came to tell me she was refusing to go to the hospital, so again the wonderful staff went into action the paramedic as he was determined she was to eat something so she was given a chip cob and more water. End of long story she was deemed ok, I had been given a bowl of chips and a cuppa. Am taking her back there on the 14th this month as she wants to thank the. In person. Came in on a whim as we was visiting skegness. Not a bad little place we all enjoyed our meal bar my friend was not impressed with the curry sauce. More based for families not sure what went on but there was a group of disabled people with wheelchairs that abruptly left and they did not seem happy. For four people meals and drinks it came to around 60 pounds not bad overall.

First and last time. Never again!! We were taken to a table by one member off staff to get sat down and settled, ready to order (party of 10), To then be told we had to move by another member of staff (oldish lady) who was rude towards us. This didn't go down well with my ASD child as he had settled ect and after moving tables, refused to eat. Before moving I explained to the lady about my son and she honestly didn't care less, and if it wasn't for the other children who were hungry, I'd have walked out!!! Overpriced with the size of the meals you receive!! And a large Pepsi is definitely not a large. Never eaten out anywhere worse than this place.. Very disappointed!!! The only good part was the young lady (ella) who took our order with a smile and was lovely

Come in with my two younger children , got to say there was a bad atmosphere between some of the staff, I over heard a older blonde lady being quite unkind to a younger member of staff, which I did not like and to be quite honest, felt like saying something but it's not my place . Very unprofessional, I certainly wouldn't go back . Food was nice and service was good but please make sure your staff are all happy and working in a harmonious environment.

Second visit and excellent experience.. quickly shown to a cute little seaside beach hut which my youngest loved! All very clean. Waitress quickly took order and within a few minutes drinks and meals appeared. Lots options for alternative diets such as vegetarian. Food was good portion size, hot and tasty. Plates cutlery glasses spotless. Staff attentive and friendly. It’s not the cheapest but we will definitely return again! Lovely traditional seaside day out :-)

I called here a couple of weeks ago and had gluten free fish and chips will not be eating here again as u could see the fish as they wasn't a lot of batter on

This fish and chips shop is lovely I had the fish fingers and chips once it arrived it was presented in a little bucket and the service is nice and the food time once you order the food doesn't take more then 10 minutes to come I would recommend it and hopefully will be coming back

Popped inside for my lunch during my holiday. Service was very quick. As soon as I walked in I was seated within 5 minutes and orders were taken soon after. Drinks came within a couple of minutes, and food came out no later than ten minutes after ordering. Food was amazing, not greasy or small portioned like I have read in other reviews. Staff were also lovely, well mannered, and are willing to help at any moment. Overall a good experience, and would definitely choose to eat here again.

Visited here while we were holidaying in Skegness fish and chips very poor pale in colour with a strange taste slimy fish with soggy batter my daughter got steak she couldn't chew any of it all food went to waste only mushy peas were nice never go there again.

Me and my husband come to this place when we come down to skegness as we love there classic scampi meal the scampi is just cooked right not greasy and melts in your mouth the chips are fantastic to we would highly recommend this place they never disappoint and staff are always welcoming and friendly.

The waiting time could be excused if the food was good. But unfortunately it's real amatuer food. Chips not cooked properly. Fish poor quality and batter is absolutely terrible and soggy. I really don't recommend

Came in for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Good quality ingredients, reasonable price, friendly service, nice atmosphere and close to all the amenities. All the family left full and happy. What more could you want?

One of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Absolutely lovely, I see people are complaining about the prices but you have to understand these businesses have to get all they can during the busy summer periods, I thought it was worth the price l.

I decided on the cod and chips. A very tasteless meal with a lot of fat but no flavour/spices. It tasted like mush.... £15.50 down the drain

Disappointed… definitely not value for money , small portions and poor quality fish. Toilets left a lot to be desired. Would not recommend and certainly not return. 🙁

I do not recommend this place the lady who was serving food without gloves put cheese on the guest's plate then took a french fry from the plate and ate it I wonder what else she was doing with that hand without gloves. Currently on holiday in Skegness and while exploring and before heading back to our camp site. We decided to have dinner before heading back so stopped here. Staff friendly got guided to a free table, came back took and order and didn't have to wait too long. Got a haddock and chips , very nice, one of the kids got the same and my partner grabbed the cheese burger meal.

Excellent service. Their cod was divine. Clean pleasant resturant. Very well priced too.

Staff was great but was very expensive for the food when there's cheaper places in Skegness. The cod was a slither rather than a fillet and wasn't skinless. Abit disappointed and very over priced.

I have dined in here for Fish and Chips a few times this year. They are right up there for the best in town. They aren't the cheapest but you get good seating and air con on a hot day. Never been disappointed, and recommended to guests at my B&B and friends and family.

Nice chippy restaurant in skeggy, great gluten free selection Down side of gluten free if it’s not on the takeaway menu you do have to pay full restaurant price so if the meal you want is on the GF and takeaway menu it will be slightly cheaper over all Either way the food was nicely cooked and allergens were looked after Will return for the scampi!

Comply seats..... waiting over 1 hr to be served at the table Edit: waited 1hr and 30 minutes to not be served after nudging them politely 3 times. We left without food and went next door. For a big capacity and good looking restaurant it surely let itself down.

Superb classic breakfast this morning ! Lincolnshire sausages were wonderful and I absolutely love the fried bread ! Nice chatty staff , decent beach themed decor and superb location by the legendary clock tower ! Fantastic 😊 !

The chips were just about eatable not the best quality. The haddock fish was all bubbly and would put anyone off there food and you could see the sliver of the fish through the batter absolutely disgusting 100% will never be back

Visited with my Partner Saturday 6th July 2024. Lovely place friendly staff food was ok prices a little high. I had regular cod and chips my partner had battered sausage and chips and we each had a soft drink came to just over £28. Food and drinks choices were plentiful.

We used to visit this fish and chip shop when it was the clock tower and always rated it but haven't been for a while so it came as a bit of surprise at the change of quality. Our latest experience was a let down really. All of our fish and chips, though freshly cooked, were measley sized portions, my son's (adult) sausage and chips was even smaller - we counted just 11 chips!! And we definitely ordered and paid for an adults portion. One of the waitresses had a terrible attitude, she practically threw my husband's food at me before I had to chance to grab the plate from her, knocking chips down me and burning my fingers. Then when we asked where our final order from the table was she demanded to see the receipt to check we'd actually ordered it at all and huffed off when she found it was on the receipt. No apology for the delay or politeness, it felt like we were a real inconvenience for being there. I had to ask three times for some extra drinks and where they were (over a period of 20+ mins) so we could actually have them with our food. Again, it felt like we were an inconvenience in being there despite it not being visibly busy in the restaurant. The food was well overpriced for what we received, the bill for 6 people coming to over £125 (it was only fish and chips x 5, sausage and chips x 1 plus drinks, albeit a couple of them were beers). I'm kicking myself for not saying something whilst we were there but with the attitude from the staff it felt like anything we might have said would have caused a drama. Next time I'll be looking for somewhere else.

Staff seated us very quickly, however on seeing the menu and how expensive everything was (pepsi 500ml was nearly £4!!) we opted this was not for us and left. Had a meal in another restaurant just down the road which worked out £35 cheaper then if we stayed at Husseys.

We were met with a warm welcome & given a choice of where to sit (the restaurant was very quiet at the time). Good menu on offer. Quick, friendly service. Good food - not the best fish & chips we've had, but still good.

The seats and display inside were nice, but I haven't been to Husseys in like 2 years due to a bad experience. We sat down and ordered and then we waited around 1 hour inside and when we asked how long the food was going to be, a waiter told us that our order hadn't even been sent to the kitchen to be cooked, but she was very understanding and she apologised for what had happened. So, me and my family left and went to another fish and chips place. I understand that it was busy, and they had a lot of people to serve, but not even sending what we ordered to the kitchen for them to make it is abit disappointing really...My family doesn't plan to eat here ever again, sorry Husseys. 👍💗

Thought the chips must have evaporated in the heat and the fish was very small.certainly gone down in standards in the last few years .very overpriced for what we got

Over priced for what it is and certainly not a great atmosphere. Had a "large" cod and chips. The fish was super thin, small in size & there was definitely more batter than fish. Very greasy too. Chips weren't too bad, but needed more on the plate. A "large" Pepsi, in my eyes, is definitely more than 500ml & shouldn't have so much ice in it. Sadly, first and only visit to this place. Never, ever again.

Amazing. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful Ordered a kids meal and this was served in a small (brand new) bucket and spade - my toddler thought that was brilliant especially as she got to keep them after her meal I had fish and chips - I mean what else do you have at the seaside !! Always very nice fish and chips

Nice on the outside..but ordered a takeaway of cod and chips, 1 portion of chips 1 curry sauce and 1 gravy. The fish looked anemic, tasted ok but had better and cheaper in Skegness (down chip pan alley) chips were ok and the sauces were fine at best. All came to just over £18 which was very expensive for the area. Portion size is laughable.

I ordered a large cod fish and chips for takeout , they gave me small haddock very oily. never again Will be never using to them . very very disappointed.

Freshly cooked tasty food, both the cod and haddock were delicious. My daughter who normally doesn't eat much cleared her plate of cod and chips. Friendly staff, clean restaurant, not the cheapest but sometimes you just have to pay for quality. 5 / 5 and a big thumbs up from us.

Nine of us had lunch on 30.5.24. Poor quality food the fish was of a very poor quality. Looks nice from outside thats all. Have had fish and chips from two other smaller shops in Skegness both far superior.

Terrible service. Not long recoving from an operation, wouldn't accommodate little extra room insisted on sitting 5 of us at table of 4. Even though there was a couple of 8 seater empty tables. We had to leave in the end.

First time I've been been here and will be the last , I'm not saying it was complete rubbish but it wasn't very good value I hadn't realised you can get a bit of cod so thin , youngs cod in the oven is thicker , also the fish comes with skin on ( maybe you can ask for this to be removed ) the chips were sparse and rather dry , restaurant is nice and staff pleasant but very expensive for a poor fish N Chips , The Trawler catch I went too a couple of years ago was fare better value

Dry chips that obvs use poor quality potatoes. Fish so thin I bet you would be to see your hand through it in the light. Undercooked batter on the inside.....ugh. then the have the nerve to charge £27 for 2 people for this garbage. Do not waste your money in this place.

Ordered and waited almost an hour for food. They were busy but it was just too long. No one came and checked our even said sorry about the wait. We had our drinks and some slices of bread to the table in 15 mins then sat waiting for the rest so all drinks were gone by the time food came. Food was nice when we got it.

Avoid!! Myself and my husband waited 2Omins once seated. We were just about ready to leave when the waitress came to take our order. We felt sorry for her as she said they were short staffed and only 1 frying, there wasn't too many in about a dozen. When the food arrived after 15mins it was the worse fish + chips we've ever had, we only ate half as we were hungry where as normally we clear our plate, wish I'd have took a photo but don't usually do reviews.The fish that was supposed to be cod was barely hot, so thin the skin couldn't be removed, and a strange tasting batter, most chips shops that we know removed it, and the chips were cold! best part was the hot peas. My husband was going to refuse to pay but I talked him out of it as I didn't want any trouble. We mentioned this to the waitress when we paid and she just said, well I brought it out straight away and didn't apologise, we won't! be returning.

Just as good as it always is! Plaice and chips particularly good, cheesy chips, halloumi fries etc, all served with a smile. Would happily return.

Chose this restaurant for the appearance however unfortunately the food didn't match... large portions are small.. and greatly overpriced... we visited as a family of 5 the food is not worth the price tag.. also the Pepsi was flat.. definitely needs prices lowering to fit the food standard

My partner and I enjoyed delicious fish and chips here this bank holiday weekend. The restaurant was busy but there was still space to sit upstairs. Our food didn’t take long and was still hot and delicious.

I'm disabled so often rely on helpful staff. The staff here were friendly and incredibly helpful and did not make me feel like an old helpless waste of space. . And the fish and chips was lovely with a pot of tea. Brilliant. I will be back

Visited Skegness for part of the day, 4 adults and 16 month old, ordered fish & chips deal for 2 plus sausage & chips for 2, good deal, staff very welcoming and friendly, food excellent and good value. Restaurant clean, fresh & tidy. Well worth a visit, thank you.

Ordered large cod and chips and a regular cod and chips order came wrong food taken away and represented the fish was poor quality very much doubt if it was cod as it was tasteless and there was very little fish in the bater

Called in 3 adults. Specifically asked if the coke was proper coca cola. Waitress said we have pepsi. I said I wanted coke ( as they stated they sold coke What turned up was pepsi ! I don't mind paying sugar tax. Just makes me cross when they think they can give whatever and pass it off as what you've asked for ! I ordered cod and peas and cod chips and curry sauce. Cod had the skin on which wasn't stated and it had been cut down alot. The chios came and 30 chips if lucky. All Tasteless! Will never go again

Maybe their fish and chips are better? Ordered a new York burger from the menu it sounded really nice. Waited half hour for it more like a burger van burger and poor at that. So dry as well as the the chips worst meal iv ever had.

Had a special fish and chips and two sausage and chips here with a large coke and came to £26.05, quite dear for skegness. Was a wet day it kept us warm and dry but it's one of these places that has no prices outside should have known

More batter than fish, tiny portions and peas cold and hard 2 regular meals for 24 with cup of tea and slice of cheap white mothers pride is not value for money anywhere but especially in skeggy where there is so much choice... thankfully she forgot to unfold our bill and see my daughters coke so I got away with that, and wasnt going to volunteer the info as already felt cheated and still hungry. Poor... tried to add an image to show just how poor and how much batter was left on the plate but seems tripadvisor is having upload issues currently.

Very disappointed have eaten here a few times as dogs were welcome, but today dispite place being empty no longer accept dogs. Obviously don't need the custom. Plenty of other places to eat that welcome dogs.

Had spam fritter chips peas and curry sauce the husband had the chip shop platter. The fish is skin on so is much tastier than the places that serve skinless fish. Spam fritter was very tasty everything was very good the interior of the place has had a very nice upgrade since it was clock tower and the staff were lovely and friendly. Will deffinately be eating here again.😃

Never been in before, popped in for lunch. Lovely place, but found service quite slow. Around 30 minutes until we got our drinks, and it wasn't overly busy when we arrived. When the food came, it was delicious and very good sized portions

Great food & great service, will visit again next time we are in skegness. Server was prompt and smiley and made sure we had everything we wanted. A little pricey truth be told.

Absolutely horrific place, first server was extremely rude when we asked to sit in a “beach hut” which were clearly empty it was a simple NO, then had to ask after 10 mins if someone could actually take our order as we had tickets to the theatre, to which we were told she didn’t take orders but would send another, again waited and watched someone come towards us with pad and pen then looked at us and walked away! After this we stood to walk out only to see couples that had walked in after us being served ! I took the two children to the nearest chip shop and my companion stayed behind to talk to the manager . She was asked why others were being served who came in after us ? Not much of an answer back ! Rudest place I’ve ever been be assured we won’t ever be going back . Maybe if I let my teeth rot and wear crappy clothes I would have “fit in” better !

Best fish and chips in Skegness!

Food was lovely although the takeaway portion s were a little small particularly the sausages.. chips weren't greasy as some can beand small fish was very nice.. Quite a long wait even though there wasn't many people in. No rush to collect order from counter when shouted ready..

We were looking for somewhere to eat on a Saturday evening in Skegness. We called in at Hussey’s and weren’t disappointed. The staff were excellent, and you could tell this was a proper independent seaside restaurant, who knew how to look after families. We ordered Fish and Chips, which were excellent, as was the burger I had. Our two boys loved the bucket and spades the chips and nuggets were served in. The boys chicken nuggets were homemade and looked amazing, and they ate them all. Service 10/10 Food 10/10 We’ll look forward to the next visit, thanks again.

Would not reccomend. The batter on my regular cod was completely over done, there was hardly any fish inside and what was there was dried to the skin/batter from being over cooked. Chips were okay but had better. The only nice touch was the childrens meal being served in a bucket and spade.

We were given dirty cups for our tea, the wrong order was given, when the food came it was swimming in grease not a pleasant experience we won't be visiting again!

The rump steak was bland and fatty and the plaice was also bland and hardly any fish expensive for what it is
