Lovely food, reasonably priced and extremely helpful staff. Axel was very helpful and Kirsty did a great job with our food. We had a lovely time and will be back again soon

Please think twice about visiting this establishment if you wish to avoid unknowingly becoming a victim to a car parking scam that is currently active at this location. I visited in Sept 2024 for what was a 1 hour stop to meet a friend and duly parked in the designated spots outside the venue. I then entered my vehicle registration into an iPad device propped up on the bar and continued with my evening. Fast forward about 5 weeks I surprisingly received a parking ticket from LCP (London Car Parking) at my home address. Immediately I went back to the pub armed with the ticket and spoke to someone who claimed to be the manager. He said that he was aware of ongoing issues with the parking system and that they were working with LCP to correct a number of parking tickets issued incorrectly over the last few months and then asked for my number plate to check that it had been entered on system. He confirmed that my plate was entered and said he would contact LCP to get the parking ticket cancelled and to ignore (his words) any future notifications. I heard nothing more until last week before Christmas when I duly received a debt collection notification seeking £170.00 for said parking ticket. I am now in the process of engaging legal bodies to support reimbursement but please be aware that the pub management team are actively now washing there hands with this issue and passing the buck to the less than helpful LCP parking company.

We meet here as a midway point for lunch.Sux f ya all enjoyed the food, very tasty and good sized portions . Axel looked after us very well! Good service and good food can be hard to find these days, but they delivered both brilliantly! Thank you

Me and my two sisters went for afternoon tea today and we all agreed for a pub we enjoyed the sandwiches and the sweet offerings which included, scones, chocolate slice, donuts and trifle, (the trifle was not the best as the custard was not set properly). Also in the price of £20ph was a glass of Prosecco and cups of tea! The service from Axel was good along with the chefs Ramona and Ricky.

The Feathers is an amazing venue for both dining or having a casual drink with friends. The current management has made considerable effort to put the pub back on the map and make it a place worth spending in either with the family or friends. Whether it’s the karaoke nights twice a month or the amazing artists coming to perform, we can be sure to have some live entertainment pretty much every weekend.

This place has really improved in recent months under new management Dan and Em. At the weekends it's turned into a bit of music venue, been loving the mix of Jazz, young rock bands and tribute acts. Definitely worth popping back in if you haven't been in for a while 😊🎙️🎶❤️

Tried the new menu at The Feathers and it was absolutely delicious! This place has really upped its game in recent months with a new friendly team and great new manager, Dan and wife Em, who are bringing in live music at weekends and making this a bit of special live music venue. If you haven't been in there for a while it's definitely worth re-visting.

Great place for food and watch the football especially as they are dog friendly. Food was lovely and staff were great especially Axel & Pav. Would definitely return

Beware! Daughter broke down in the car park of this pub, I came to assist her along with the AA and I was fined £100 for breaking parking regulations! I was not parked in a designated parking space but just to the side of the AA van, I was there for 50 minutes and did not leave my car at any point. My daughter had already informed the pub that she had broken down and therefore it was clear that this was also why I was in the car park. I appealed the decision but it has been rejected. I can completely understand the need to stop people from using the car park for the station but these were mitigating circumstances. This has definitely put me off ever visiting this pub as the landlord/lady are clearly quite happy to use a company that uphold an unreasonable and unfair parking policy.

Food was previously cooked and reheated so over cooled, or not previously cooled and under cooked. Staff did not ask if the food was ok until about 30 mins after I'd finished, and then blamed me for not asking for more gravy when I said I could have done with more.

Fantastic Afternoon Tea, we have had many over the years but this was definitely one of the best we’ve had, the sandwiches were not the usual egg mayonnaise, ham etc, these sandwiches were something different which was a refreshing change, the scones and cakes were very yummy, it was nice to have a trifle type desert too which we had never had before, we had plenty of tea too, the staff (Axel and Dan) were very friendly and efficient, it’s also very good value for money. The Feathers is a lovely pub/Hotel and definitely worth a visit if you are in the vicinity, we will definitely be going back

We went to the feathers for Wednesday quiz night which is always good fun. I had a pleasant evening with good drinks (I had a drinks voucher as it was my birthday). I thank Herdi and Huw for their amazing service and recommend people to visit the feathers for quiz night!

We had a lovely Sunday lunch at the Feathers today. We hadn't booked but they still made room for 6 of us. We were served by Lenny who kept everything in order. Great value for money.

We visited for Sunday Lunch, a group of 4 adults.. The menu was very restricted due to staff shortages but we were able to order the prawn and calamari starter and a selection of roasts. Our server Axel was very professional and went above and beyond despite being the only person serving and taking orders. The food was really lovely, the gravy was sublime, extra roast potatoes were provided. The stuffing and pork crackling were missing when the food was delivered but overall we were pleased with what we had. This is the last pub in Merstham, please give them a try

I took my Dad for lunch as a belated Fathers Day treat. We received excellent service, with very attentive staff and the food was excellent. We have been coming for over a year now and it has considerably improved over the past few visits. I hope this continues, well done!

Not the first time we've eaten here for Sunday lunch and it's always constistenly very good. Romana is the most excellent chef when eating Rib Eye steaks, but the chefs did well in her absence today. Daniel is a warm, welcoming manager who bends over backwards to accommodate and smiles and customer care from staff like Iza make dining here a real pleasure. Real village pub, dog friendly and highly recommended. It was also a busy, happy and good humoured night last night watching England play.

Totally love this pub, friendly staff, cosy and welcoming vibe. Highly recommend it. Will certainly come back to have dinner next time, as the food smells delicious.

Genuinely the worst experience I’ve ever had in a pub. The staff were unbelievably rude and we were basically ignored, they acted like we were an inconvenience being there. We only got starters and had to wait a further 1hr 15 for mains that never arrived. We had to leave due to the children’s needs. I feel sorry for the chef because the food (the little that we got)was lovely but they were apparently alone all day. The staff left our plates all over our table, when we asked when our mains would be out as we had another arrangement to get to/children being restless, we were told ‘’they’ve just been started, 15 minutes’. The manager refused to come out and speak with us, he hid out the back. The male bar man was awful, he said is was our fault because we were 10minutes late and he was opening the pub, despite me calling to say we were running behind and the pub was completely empty. They had regulars watching football but we were the only food table. They refused to give our card back as we had to leave even though we explained we were happy to pay for what we had eaten/drank despite such a horrible experience. If I could give 0 I would, but I will give the 1 for the female staff member who was relatively friendly and some what helpful.

Sadly had a very disappointing roast - 3 x pork meals. All luke warm, roast potatoes barely roasted, parsnip hard, carrot rubbery. Vegetarian tagliatelle was cold and sent back. We ate early so were virtually the first customers having the Sunday roast. Informed management when asked if meals OK and no solution offered :(

I went with my family for my birthday. Sadly, the occasion didn’t turn out too well. It was all due to the staff. The starter we ordered was fine unfortunately, that is as far as we got. We were told that there was a wait of about 20 minutes for food ( quite acceptable). After one hour, still no food and our starter plates were still on our table. Not a pleasant experience so we decided to leave as we had guests coming to see us at our house. We were quite happy to pay for everything we had but they tried to charge us for the meals we hadn’t had. Very unprofessional. No apologies and all round appalling service. Maybe they were just having a bad day but, it was my birthday and I didn’t want to be part of their bad day.

Very nice selection of ales, all of good quality. Tasty pies and puddings. I like their garden and you can watch sports inside if that's what you're after. Service is always very good and we've enjoyed the playlist that was on.

I enjoyed a delicious meal meal off of the new menu along with a glass of red wine. I had the chicken skewers to start, gammon for main and the brownie for pudding. All very yummy. Friendly staff with a nice relaxed atmosphere.

A very nice old-fashioned pub which is about a 2 minute walk from the train station. The food is good especially the bar bites offer on the menu. The service from the staff are friendly and fast, the beers are nice and cold very nice especially after a hard day at work.

We used to be regulars, but the food got quite bad, usually burnt, so we did not go for food but went for drinks sometimes as it si child friendly. Well today my 3yr old was WALKING in the garden at 12.15pm, empty except for us, and the manager told us quite abruptly to keep the kids sit at all times. They were not running, they were not being loud, nothing. He explains they can fall at there are people working. It was frankly very rude, uncalled for and disappointing. I wondered if I am allowed to walk or I should also remain sit at all times? Very sad we are not coming back

Booked afternoon tea for a treat Terrible The afternoon tea scones were dry and old and came WITHOUT jam. When we asked for jam we were told the pub had no jam!!! We were then given a cherry pie mix. Unbelievable you couldn’t make it up. White bread sandwiches which were stale and tasteless. No tea or coffee given until we asked and a chocolate brownie that was again stale. Yet another pub that won't display it's drink prices clearly at the bar. No prices on the pumps and no price list clearly on display at the bar. I thought under the law you should be able to see clearly goods you are buying.

We chose this pub as it is halfway in distance for us and our friends. At first glance it is as it promotes. It’s a lovely old pub. My wife is in a wheelchair so I always check facilities first. It was spacious inside with easy access from the car park. The first drawback is there are NO disable parking spaces. The staff were excellent in assisting us to a suitable table and were very accommodating to our needs. The menu is varied with a good selection of choices. Second drawback was several options on menu were unavailable. One menu item I thought was excellent value was the ‘House Sharer’. On the whole I thought the food was good and plentiful. The staff were excellent but the interior of the pub was very tired and is in desperate need of a facelift. The Gents were pretty grim but the disabled toilet was ok and spacious.

Invaluable pub to a walker on the North Downs way, because there are surprisingly few pubs along the trail. I enjoyed a couple of pints here while watching the cricket. Nice big pub, friendly staff. Felt like an oasis.

The price of drinks is very expensive I cannot think of a dearer place to go for a pint or other alcoholic drinks. Check there prices on there web site before going as there is no clear indication in the pub of alcohol costs.
