Love this place. The food is wholesome and delicious, staff friendly and it's a great vibe. Brunch 😋😋

This place is special for many reasons, I go there for the food! They serve the best food I’ve had in the UK.

The overall experience was great; food was good and arrived promptly, the staff was nice and happy enough to joke around in a professional manner. My only letdown was the noise, I have a light amount of hyperacusis, because the restaurant and bar doesn't have any soft surfaces to absorb conversation "hum".

Sooo expensive. I was charged well over £3 for a dash of lime & soda water!

We really don’t understand why we have left it so long to try this pub. We finally got organised and booked for Sunday lunch and were not disappointed with the roast. This is a proper pub, quintessentially English with a focus on good quality food, cooked in a kitchen by a person who knows what they’re doing. With so many homogenous pubs these days, cooking boil in the bag standard fayre, it’s refreshing to discover a nugget which is holding on to its independence. Thank you Tiny and your team, you deserve to be busy, (as you often are).

I keep meaning to leave a review as this is My place of choice for a Sunday roast . It's easily the best in Exeter . It's also a lovely Little pub and often has good music playing in the background .

I booked a table to catch up with some old friends. Thank god I did because it was very busy and I can see why. The staff were great and very friendly, we opted for ale on this visit. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the feather blade beef and finished with the chocolate balls. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend it to anyone.

This is a great "real" pub slightly hidden away but well worth the effort to find it.

Had such a great time on Sunday first time going was welcomed with a friendly attitude the landlord Paul was a great chap very complimenting. Would recommend! GOOD PEAS

We had the best Sunday roast to date at The Fat Pig. Both the lamb and pork were delicious, and the Yorkshire pudding hot from the oven. I suggest you book as this pub is popular for its Sunday roast or alternatively get there at opening time. The service was personal and 5 star.

I can confidently say, this was the best food I’ve had in Exeter. Highly recommended. The owner and the bartender were really nice as well.

Absolutely wonderful place. Clearly run by enthusiastic individuals with a passion for what they do, unlike the chain establishments that unfortunately are increasingly the norm. Great atmosphere. Fantastic, interesting food, clearly prepared on-site, and a good selection of alcohol. I highly recommend. P.S. they are active supporters of mental health charities.

Perfect pub. Convivial host sorted our seating after we'd unknowingly gate crashed a private party in the other bar area! Quality beer and sight of a Bruichladdich Barley whisky, having previously bought some from the distillery itself in 2022, was too good an opportunity to miss. First time visit and we'll be back.

What a great place! We had a roast dinner and it was absolutely delicious. Huge portions, fresh and tasty veg and the beef was cooked to perfection. But the thing that made our visit so special are the staff, they are so friendly and genuinely lovely people. They obviously take a lot of pride in what they do and it shows. We will definitely be back again when we're next in Exeter.

Lovely pub, great atmosphere and fantastic service but what absolutely blew me away was the food! The prawn cocktail had a Bloody Mary twist with cucumber, fresh with lime and coriander, the roast beef was the best I have ever had! Finished with desserts and then cheese all fabulous, the most incredible lunch. Hope to visit again!

Lovely pub that I frequent often for drinks and for food. Normal menu is lovely but they also do The Fat Tuesday Project taster evenings for £60 per head and it never fails to satisfy me Lovely friendly staff. A must visit

Roast arrived lukewarm and beef had too soft of a texture, to the point where I stopped eating halfway through for fear that it had expired

From booking my table to the meal itself we received excellent customer service. Staff were friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful and attentive. The food was outstanding, so delicious. Great atmosphere, with a great vibe. 100% recommend and we shall definitely be returning.

Was taken by family who live locally and go regularly - and I can see why it is their favourite. Lovely atmosphere, very friendly and welcoming, and very tasty food. I had a beef Ragu with pappardelle pasta and I'm going to assume the pasta was freshly made as it was really light and delicious. we'll return next time we are in Exeter!

Magic little pub serving a great variety of beers and ciders and has an awesome spirits collection (especially the whisky). Food is delicious and the staff are the best. I reckon this is the best pub in Exeter.

Amazing Sunday lunch!!! It’s so homely in here and the staff is amazing, definitely recommend the Sunday lunch it’s the best in Exeter. Food comes out super quick but make sure you book otherwise you may not be seated.

Our first visit last night to eat. It was during the Rugby Six Nations. The place was full to the brim and yet the team kept up with food orders and service. There is interesting wholesome menu options and nicely presented. We will go again when we are in Exeter. We went after 6pm and the parking is free at that time.

I went here with my son what a hidden gem! I was looking for somewhere more traditional were you can have a quiet pint. I was not dissapointed, as most of Exeter is full of student bars this was an exception and its off the beaten track. Highly recommended!

Fantastic food in a friendly classic pub atmosphere. Was zero degrees outside and so the roaring fire and well kept ales were a welcome sight.

It is a great pub and want to go back. Popped in for a quick drink, busy with revelers and a great atmosphere. Good interesting beers on tap. Through a couple of mishaps the owner/manager was very accommodating. We bought two drinks which we were over charged for and the barman spilled the pint. The owner apologised whereupon I checked the price with him and he soon realised something had gone awry. He gave me more back than the difference and later a shot of Cazcabel each! Much gratitude. Definitely a unique and good looking pub inside. Worth a visit.

I've lived in Exeter all my life and we've never been here before - we came here for Christmas Eve drinks as it's a dog friendly pub and we were so impressed we will absolutely be coming back! Reasonably priced drinks, great bar staff, a warm and welcoming pub and a free bowl of roast potatoes and gravy yummy! I almost don't want to leave a good review as I don't want it getting busy but what a great find!

A great selection of whisky, and a good selection of Japanese whisky included in that selection. A couple of IPAs, Guinness and lagers on tap. Great pub, friendly staff, not tried the food but would highly recommend popping in to check out this pub if you are in the area

Food was exceptionally good but difficult to talk because of the poor acoustics of the restaurant. We ended up shouting to make ourselves heard!

We were very lucky to get a booking for Sunday Lunch, you MUST book! We all had Roast Beef with all the trimmings, the cauliflower cheese was perfect, still slightly firm, the beef was both delicious and tender and the Yorkshires were massive. They were extremely busy and they turned away numerous walk ins. We didn’t have to wait too long for our meals. Afterwards we had cheesecake with pumpkin purée, that was seriously rich! Staff were lovely, attentive but not under our feet and very friendly. I would heartily recommend this pub. 5*

Community venue with a changing menu, and a cheerful atmosphere. Excellent and attentive service from the staff, good food, accommodated a peanut and shellfish allergy with reassuring confidence, and I also overheard them accommodate someone who was dairy free at another table.

Probably the best place in Exeter if you're looking for superb food in a relaxed pub setting. The atmosphere is buzzing and the staff super friendly and attentive. The menu offers some classics and more creative options that seem to change regularly. We've been here a couple of times for dinner and Sunday roasts.

We’ve been going for drinks regularly and have always enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. Finally booked to have a meal as the food always looked so good, and reality definitely lived up to expectations, each dish was delicious! We ended up thanking the chefs in person we were so impressed!

Wow. Unusual location down a side street in Exeter delivering simply stunning, homemade tasty food. As dog friendly as dog friendly gets as well. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Traditional style pub, recommended to me by the hotel I was staying at. The bar serves local ales and the usual beers, the staff are friendly, and the food is decent looking, though I didn't get to try any.

Visited today for Sunday lunch. What an absolute gem of a place. Wonderful food and the customer service was great :) The whole experience was very easy and enjoyable which is exactly what you want from a meal out. Child and dog friendly, the landlady had a lengthy chat with my son about the resident cacti 🌵 We will be back. 👌🏻

This little pub, situated in the older part of Exeter is a real treasure with a joyous atmosphere. As soon as we entered we were engulfed by the warm and friendly vibe, the friendly staff and the relaxed and informal ambience of a busy independent pub. Although busy, we felt that the service we received was attentive throughout with just enough time between courses to allow room for a bit more. The food is clearly home cooked to order and utterly delicious, with regular changes to accommodate what is available and in season. There were some really unusual choices to try as well as some regulars, slow cooked beef cheeks and fish pie. While this is not an upmarket dining experience, the presentation and deliciousness of the food, the warmth of the environment and the friendliness of the staff more than make up for this. It is informal dining with a touch of class, thanks to the posh nosh on your plate. I really appreciated that the landlord came over during the course of our meal to ask if everything was to our liking and if there was anything else we needed. This pub is a gem, like a little local in the centre of Exeter. We loved everything about it and will definitely be back; for more of the friendly welcoming space and their mouth-watering food.
