I had only just discovered this excellent cafe, I had the carbonara which was one of the specials and it was absolutely amazing! Really nice homemade food and cakes, and a nice environment. Such a shame to hear that they will no longer be here after the end of the month, definitely worth a visit before they go!

As always, a really delicious lunch of warm scotch eggs (with runny yolks - yum!) and salad accompanied by a generous pot of tea and followed by a chocolate filled doughnut - absolutely gorgeous. The food here is always lovely and so beautifully made and presented. The quiches are a particular favourite of mine and a slice of one of the large homemade cakes to follow is a real treat.Lovely food, lovely service. Thank you.

I have always been very happy with the quality of the food and the service here and this morning's coffee and cheese scone was no exception. The best cheese scone I've had for a long while and served with a little dish of extra cheese and some celery being the signature 'going the extra mile' I'm used to from this cafe. Very clean, very Covid compliant and as usual friendly, keen staff. I was very sad to realise that the owners will be leaving at the end of October as the goat farm is taking back the premises. I suspect the ethos will change. BUT I was delighted to hear about their base in Tring and their order/delivery service for Steve's marvellous baked goods.

Cosy little cafe (adjoins the goat centre). Friendly staff and a menu covering sandwiches & toasties to home cooked classics like lasagne, ham, egg & chips, sausage and mash etc. Food was really good - quality home-made. The Farmyard burger was very impressive - looked and tasted as good as its description on the menu. And the charcoal brioche bun it came in added to the visual treat (looks like an Oreo!). Wish I'd taken a picture to show but was too busy enjoying it! Was pretty good value for size and quality, and was really nice food and presentation. Cakes at the counter looked particularly enticing and I wished I had room - but will have to return another time for one of those! Definitely worth stopping by for a snack or meal in a friendly and cosy setting. (Prepare for mud if in winter or wet - the goat farm gets muddy and so therefore do the floors of the cafe, and also lots of kids/families)

I am not sure how deep the pockets are of the people leaving reviews for this cafe, but I can see no justification for charging nearly £3 for a cornflake cake for a child or £7.50 basic price for a jacket potato! Cafe is perfectly fine and the staff are friendly, but their pricing does not reflect where they are or the type of visitors at the Goat Farm. Also even though all the outside tables were empty they refused for us to have our picnic there even if we bought drinks from them. Sorry to be so negative, but someone has to say it!

My daughter and I visited for lunch today after reading all the good reviews. When we arrived it was very busy with most tables occupied and most people already eating! The tables are crammed in and it was difficult to get to an empty table in the corner. No menu on the table so had to search for one. Went to the counter to order and then proceeded to wait 40 minutes for a (very small) bowl of soup and a chicken tikka wrap. When they arrived they were tasty but the wrap was not enclosed so when picked up the contents fell out landing on my daughters white trainers and staining them .Have to say the main meals and the cakes looked delicious.

On each of four visits to the Farmyard Cafe the staff have been very welcoming, from the first time when we were in a large group including five children to last week when my daughter and I went on our own. The food is great. Everything appears to be homemade. We've had very good Sunday lunches which are brilliant value and a lovely brunch, but the thing that really makes this place a winner for me is the cakes; they're freshly baked by the cafe and interesting flavours (I wasn't convinced by the idea of coffee and mandarin but it was probably the nicest cake I've ever eaten!). It's quite a small cafe but they haven't crammed in too many tables so it feels comfortable and is always clean (including the highchairs which is so often not the case). My only negative at all is that you can see the Goat Centre playground from the cafe so my daughter inevitably wants to go to it which means paying to get in. Having said that, the Goat Centre provides an hour or two of entertainment so as long as we have time I don't mind too much!I really like coming to this cafe. We always have a nice time and enjoy the food. The staff are good at handling questions about allergens and always double check things for me.

We went here after a visit to the goats centre as you have to walk through to get into the goat centre. My son is a fussy eater and wanted a marmite sandwich which i had made for him. I was with a friend and her children and we were all buying drinks and food from the cafe so although I saw the signs saying you cant eat your own food, given that we were all buying food I didnt think a marmite sandwich would be an issue especially as they dont sell marmite sandwiches. However this was not the case and my son was told he could eat his marmite sandwich, my son started to cry and was really distressed - no one cared or came and apologised. I emailed a complaint to the Goats centre and the owners and they could even be bothered to address the Email with a salutation or sign the email off. Disgusting. As it happens the cookies none of the kids ate and when my friend tried a bit she said it was bland and tasteless. If you go to the goats centre dont go to the Cafe as they are without doubt not child friendly.

The Farm Shop at Bucks Goat Centre has been a standby for elevenses for my cycling club for years. It is also a good place to visit after a trying trip to Stoke Mandeville hospital. This is not just a fast food cafe as it provides excellent home made meals and interesting cakes full of cream and calories to tempt the most fragile palate. Yes, it is likely to have a few families there, but also groups of older people who appreciate such good food at reasonable prices. The staff are always welcoming and of course one can always fill in an hour or so by visiting their interesting collection of various breeds of goats. We to the Bucks Goat Centre with our children and another family and decided to have some lunch while we were there. Good value food which we all enjoyed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

The Bubble and Sweak was good but the Cod and Chips was very poor. The thin chips òwere like oven chips and rather tasteless. The cod batter was thick and baked very hard and had to be opened like a spectacle case to gain access to the fish. The fish looked good but was rather tasteless. The sweets, warm Brownies and ice cream, were good. Overall the price was good as was the service

Came here with the cycling club today and was impressed. Coffee is good and there was an overwhelming selection of cakes. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and judging by the food on other customers plates it looks like a fantastic place for Sunday lunch. There is a goat farm where you can feed the animals too so will definitlely return with the kids (no pun intended).

As a member of a local cycling club, we often seek out new and varied places to stop for refreshments during our club rides,I came across The Farmyard Cafe while planning our Sunday ride and thought to give it a try. I telephoned ahead during the week before the ride to notify the cafe of our intention to stop by with a group of cyclists and was greeted by a warm welcome for us to visit. When we arrived the staff at the cafe were all prepared us, had an excellent selection of coffees, teas and cakes, provided us with prompt and efficient service and supplied us with a few extra treats! The group all left suitably refreshed and singing the praises of the cafe.Although our stop was a short one, we will definitely keep this cafe in the mind when we are riding out through Stoke Mandeville.Give it a try. You won't be disappointed!

I visited after a recommendation from a friend and I was not disappointed. Started off with a warm welcome, the drinks arrived promptly with a talk through of specials and menu from a very attentive and friendly lady. The food arrived and it was stunning both to the eye and my tastebuds. I had the burger and it was seasoned perfectly, the chips were gorgeous and salad was just enough. My partner had a fish finger sandwich and fries and it was perfect for him too. We were told about how great the cakes were and I had to try the Chocolate Fudge Cake and it was gorgeous, so light and fluffy and had cream on the side so I could add as much/as little as needed. In conclusion, I’m going again as soon as I can.

We were all looking forward to a good lunch after reading the excellent reviews but sadly it didn't live up to our expectations. The lasagna two of us ordered had to go back as they were cold in the middle, I thought all cafes/restaurants had to use a heat prob to make sure food was heated correctly. They were taken to the kitchen but it took about 10 mins before it got back to us. The lasagna had lots of cheese on top but it didn't seem to have any sauce in the middle which meant it was very dry.

Visited the farmyard cafe again last Sunday, very busy , worth booking a table if you want Sunday lunch. Food maintains a very high standard all freshly cooked, Sunday roast , you need a good appetite! Don't look at the cakes if you are on a diet, they are irresistible. Also the pates and cheese in the shop are very good, I am on my fifth different pate.

We stopped in on our way to the nearby preservation railway for a bite to eat and we are glad we did! Although it was getting close to finishing time we were accommodated with a friendly attitude.A couple of items we wanted were unavailable (we'll get there earlier next time!!) but alternatives were found.Service was great and the food delicious. Desserts are a must!!!!

A favourite place for a Sunday afternoon where I take my Father for Coffee and cake. Be warned you are spoilt for choice as the selection is vast and always changing. Recommend the fresh cream gateaux' and orange lemon meringue. Lunch is also good, freshly cooked and good portion sizes. Staff are lovely and make you feel so welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. Definitely the best cafe in the Aylesbury area.

Aylesburys hidden gem we have tried most restaurants in the area and for service and quality of food this is definitely one of the best with amazing homemade dishes and cakes.

I've been a few times with family, friends and their children. Thought it should get the praise it deserves. The staff were so lovely and took care of every request we had.The food was delightful and there was something for everyone on the menu. I had the tomato & mozzarella salad on the specials and my friends had a variety of burgers, toasties and more. My mum adored the soft shell crab that was also on the specials. My friends little ones made such a mess and I offered to clear it up but the lady behind the till insisted that should would do it.Lastly people have said it's a little pricey but I have to DISAGREE. For the quality and quantity of what you get and considering its not in Aylesbury town centre I think it just right. I will definitely be visiting again and again. Always recommending The Farmyard café & Farmshop.

Stopped for a bite to eat here after visiting the farm. It's very small but thankfully we went on a rainy day and it wasn't busy. The food was a bit on the pricey side - £4.25 for soup and £5.75 for a jacket potato - and not the most amazing I've ever tasted. I don't think I'd go out of my way to come back here again.

I like this place as it reminds me of a typical pub, people are friendly and the staff are very welcoming. Not had the chance to try the food yet but it has been well recommended. Quick update 1/10/24, still as good as the first day. Great atmosphere and a great welcome.

I popped in first thing in the morning, ordered a bacon sandwich and cappuccino. Both were superb! The granary bread was really fresh, lots of bacon and plenty of sauce on the side for me to put on! The coffee also was great! The cakes on display all looked amazing feel like I must return to try a slice, although think it would take me a while to decide as all looked so tempting!
