Came here with my partner for a carvery before going cinema. Came up on Google when searching carvery norwich. The staff were soo polite and helpful. And the food was outstanding, one of the best carverys I've ever had. So fresh. We played a little bit of darts after eating as it was such a friendly and warm atmosphere we didn't want to leave. Will deffo be back for another carvery 💪

Sunday Lunch excellent vegetarian choice excellent. Very friendly staff nothing too much for them. Everything ran smoothly no waiting Or long queues .

Been a few times as we meet our daughter here who lives locally. Had the roast as normal but wouldn't have again. 4 slithers of meat and everything else just ok. Not so tasty as usual - definitely had better meals here in the past.

We have been meaning to try this pub for a while as we sometimes pass it on our way home. We both agreed that the meals we ordered were excellent, very tasty and were served quite quickly and we would not hesitate to come here again. I have knocked one star off this review but only because the music in the pub was a little too loud for our liking, but maybe it isn't always so loud.

Delicious roast , great play area for children but my god work on your customer service skills! Make people feel welcome and appreciated, we are here spending our money in your pub. A little bit of appreciation goes a long way !

Popped in after the school run for an early tea. Had the tuna chiapanini, which I haven't tried before and was lovely. Booked in for the Sunday for their carvery and that too was one of the best I'd had. Will definitely be seeing you again soon.

The Sunday carvery is amazing. Always a friendly man serving. Food was fresh and very tasty. The cracklin is second to none. Very well done to all.

ETHNIC STUDENTS AVOID!! It’s one of “those pubs”,a racist echo chamber. I’m sure they’re lovely to all their UKIP/reform UK people, but honestly this pub is not welcoming to outsiders at all. Sad miserable people work there who clearly want to exercise a power struggle over ethnic minorities. I went in and asked for water and she told me to fetch it from the toilets! Whilst she was standing right in front of the bar. Not worth the bother. Hope they’re all happy in their sad racist xenophobic echo chamber aha.

I walked in on a 25 degrees Celsius summer afternoon (June 2024) and asked the bar maid, who could well have been the manager, very politely “do you mind filling up my flask with tap water”. Given it was a boiling day and I was clearly gasping, you would only presume the answer would be yes. She barely hesitated to say no in a hideous tone, with no reason at all. I said “really?, to which she said no once more. Maybe I’M being presumptuous but being there with my Zimbabwean girlfriend, it really felt as though she was straight up racist. Given how polite we were, on an incredibly hot day asking for a simple courtesy, we were left dumbfounded that someone could be so helpless and rude. To top it all off, she ended by saying to us on our way out that we can get some water from the toilets. Well done to you, lovely bar maid, for upholding the worst values of British society. May you find an ounce of happiness in this life.

Great Sunday carvery, good value! Not the cheapest in Norwich nor by any means the most expensive, meats cooked nicely and lovely selection of vegetables, with lashings of a really tasty proper gravy👍👌👍 was busy between 2-4pm when there so would advise pre booking 😉mid week bar menu also very good, the Thai salmon salad was delicious 👌👌👌

Called in after a lovely walk around Eaton park, the meal we had was delicious, chips to die for and scampi lovely and crispy Have been before but a few years back and have to say this was by far the better meal

I had an enjoyable dinner. I had a gluten-free gammon steak that was to die for - exquisite, juicy, and chewy. It was the best dish I ever had!!!

Really good roast , the meats were tender , the veg and mash perfectly cooked and full of flavour , some restaurants limit the amount of Yorkshires and sausages , but here as much as you're plate / belly will take , good size car park , children's outside play area , definitely need to return and would thoroughly recommend . Also a refeshing change not to have a service tip automatically added to the bill 👍👍👍👍👍

We have been here several times for a Sunday Carvery...wow. Simply the best! I travel quite a lot and we stop to get a carvery whenever we can. Since we came to the Farmhouse for our first Carvery we don't want to eat anywhere but! Great staff too. It has a little play area for kids to play too.

Fabulous Sunday carvery with a great selection of freshly cooked meats and vegetables. Unlimited homemade Yorkshire puddings are a great touch. Friendly helpful staff make this place a must visit for Sunday lunch.

Appalling food and terrible staff attitude. Carvery staff ignored us while he went about his business, then I asked for a cut of meat he had just sliced and was told no. Peas were awful, Yorkshire puddings were all black, even when new ones were put in they were also burnt. There was a long hair in the gravy, which was reluctantly changed, with some attitude, and not only that, there was a sausage in the gravy container, so 2 accounts of cross contamination. When asked if all was ok, we said no, explained, and staff member argued that we could just get another Yorkshire pudding. (But as stated previously these were ALL burnt) she then disappeared off and did not come back to ask us again, having not resolved the issues. Beef was tough and chewy, turkey was fatty and stringy. Will not be coming here again.

Great place solo, with friends or family. There’s an off street parking lot. There’s a playground with picnic tables so you can have a drink and hang out while kids play. Food was great. I had the braised lamb - would order again! Team was friendly - nice restaurant space & pub space inside.

Walked in without a booking today and was very lucky they could fit us in as it was busy. All the staff we encountered were professional and friendly. All 4 of us had carvery and I can honestly say it was one of the best I've had recently with a choice of 4 meats and lots of different veg. It was great to have things such as red cabbage, cauliflower cheese and sausages all included in the price. The self service veg and accompaniments were constantly topped up which meant that everything was lovely and hot. We had ice-cream for dessert which was also good quality. I got the impression a lot of things on the menu were homemade and we'll definately be returning.

We ate here as we visited from Manchester for my daughters birthday, she's at UEA. Everyone was so nice and friendly and the food is outstanding and brilliant value for money. Next time we're down, we'll visit again

16 guests for 80th birthday. Had ordered food in advance. All came out together, well organised and hot. Tasted delicious. Was told cheesecake best ever tasted but I was too full for dessert. They let us decorate table so it made it a lovely memory for our mum. Thank you to all staff involved.

Their customer service skills are spot on. The prices are very fair for the quality and service. A very pleasant visit and I won't hesitate to visit again when next in Norwich. Excellent Sunday carvery, good meat choice, plenty of veg to choose from and of course Yorkshire’s and gravy. Starters and desserts look good too if you are feeling really hungry.

OMG !! We went here 5 years ago and loved it 🥰 but for some reason just didn’t really get back again until three weeks ago. THE BEST CARVERY EVER ❤️❤️we’ve been back three consecutive weeks on a Sunday!! We went today with our son and his wife and we’re booked ( just us two) for next week. The staff are AMAZING 🤩 it’s honestly like a family NEVER have I felt so welcome anywhere!! Our Doberman Luna comes with us and gets a real fuss made of her💋 So 10/10 5* EXELLENT RESTAURANT. We went here for the Sunday carvery and loved it. Great choice of vegetables and sauces. All cooked perfectly for us. Sadly we cannot review the desserts as we were too full to try them. Good value for money. Staff were lovely and friendly too. Felt really relaxed in there. Will definitely be going again and highly recommend you try it.

Had the carvery. If you go on a Sunday, best to reserve a table as this pub is very popular. The food was absolutely gorgeous, the gravy was delicious. There are good meal choices for vegetarians and vegans. The staff are friendly and courteous. We will definitely be going again to enjoy the food. I don't know how much was spent per person as it was my birthday meal.

From start to finish 20 of us all had a amazing time the service was fantastic the food was amazing all came out around the same time considering so many of us the afters where amazing well done to all the staff and chef and a big shout out to the manager for donating few bottles of wine for our raffle .so many happy people and everyone of them said they will be coming again soon and have asked me to book a Easter meal for all of us already wish I taken more photos of people meals as everyone of them looked amazing

Been trying different carvaries, found this place to be wonderful. The service was prompt even though they were busy. Turned up early for our table and swapped things around so we could get in. Food was great, even the chefs were friendly and polite. Excellent all round. Well done. Will definitely return.

Very pleasant, friendly and excellent food. This is our regular come to for carvery. Special mention to Rae, should have mentioned her excellent service and attention last time round but better late than never.

We keep coming back to this carvery. Always excellent quality. Staff are really attentive and engaging. Good sense of humour also, which you need with me around 😁. Special mention for Donna. Our friends loved it as much as us so two more regular customers to count on.

We were staying near by and thought we would book here for a Sunday carvery. Well the food was delicious and lots of choice of meat and vegetables. The gravy was outstanding. My husband had apple crumble for dessert and said it was the best he had ever tasted. Would highly recommend this and will return again if in the area .

We went with 5 adults and 6 young people for Sunday lunch as a family party . We mostly had the çarvery, which was excellent. Good selection of meats and vegetables which were hot and not overcooked. The vegetarian had a separate dish. There was a good selection of delicious desserts and drinks We booked 3 days in advance when they were already heavily booked, and John juggled with the arrangements to fit us into a very nice bright window table. We went early, so that another party could have our table 2 hours later. Service was attentive and speedy, but we were not put under any pressure to vacate.before we were ready, although we were reàdy to leave just as the next party arrived There was no invasive music or other 'entertainment' Everything wàs really great

Welcoming warm in comfortable pub food service atmosphere very good. Coffee was a bit weak and both coffee and tea could be hotter. Overall a good experience thank you.

Landlord is a very rude, unfriendly and vile man. He has no idea how to run a business and you only to read the reviews to see his horribly nature is consistent. Shame on you. Poor food, expensive and the worst customer service. Stay clear!

1 star is the most this place deserves, we arrived and were sworn at by bar staff for trying to open a door to get our buggy in to garden, we stayed as long as is took to let our kids have a play in the garden and left, 2 families never to return & who will tell all their mates

havent had a better sunday lunch this side the city in a very long time , plenty of choice and cooked to perfection . very very enjoyable .

Arrived just as it opened at 12pm, so first ones in. Not a problem. Dog friendly. Water bowl brought over without asking. Purity UBU and Robinsons Trooper real ales on. We drank Trooper and it was in good nick. Meals were great. A duck confit starter, gammon and lamb shoulder. All good. Copious portions. We have eaten here before and will come again. Friendly lady at the bar. Menu was varied and prices reasonable.

We were struggling to find a venue to hold a mums wake after the service at Earlham crematorium. When we contacted our funeral directors for suggestions whilst they were not allowed to make recommendations they were able to say what places previous clients had used and gave a few locations including The Farmhouse. Gave The Farmhouse a call and the lady I spoke to said when Jon was available so we drove over introduced ourselves and asked about a wake. Jon said no problem and sat us around a table to discuss what we wanted and prices. Gave estimate of numbers but said likely to increase. Not a problem paid £100 deposit with balance payable week before wake when more accurate numbers could be given. Whilst we were there had a meal which was lovely. On day of the wake everything as expected with the extension set aside for the wake. Float for drinks behind bar not a problem. Food was great and Jon and Donna accommodated my aunt's need for gluten free with several plates of sandwiches marked as gluten free with a label on the cling film covering them. Massive car park too so parking not an issue. My thanks to Jon, Donna and the team at The Farmhouse

We booked for a late Sunday lunch at the farmhouse as we were meeting friends nearby and were very pleasantly surprised by what we found. The welcome was warm and professional, the carvery was very good, and the gammon steak was one of the best I’ve ever eaten. If you’re nearby, want ‘real food’ served by ‘real people’ don’t look any further!

Food was okay, not terrible. The portions for the price was not that good. Not somewhere we would return to.

Enjoyed the carvery here, really tasty and for a decent price! Only downside was that the conservatory was really warm (not a problem if you go on a cooler day or are seated elsewhere), and the yorkies were a bit burnt (again, likely not a regular thing).

Sunday lunch, delicious carvery, not your dried up variety with sad veg, instead fresh and tasty, along with genuinely friendly service. I'm not a local, but if I was I'd go every week if I could!

Great food at a very reasonable price. John was really pleasant and helpful. Food came out quickly. Pub could do with a bit of an update, but all in all, we had a lovely meal. We would recommend this place for excellent food and service.

The staff was lovely and attentive, but unfortunately the quality of the food was subpar. I went specifically for their carvery and it was disappointing, possibly the least tasty one if even to so far. Bland in flavour but the presentation was acceptable.
