Very dog friendly and great food and drink. The locals were great too 👍🏽

Visited with my wife and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the most perfect steak pie I've had for a long time (and I don't say this lightly!) and some excellent crispy wings. Generous portions. The staff were lovely and attentive. Warm cosy atmosphere in the restaurant. Really lovely evening.

To the owners reply - Sorry but there is no comment below from you to see? Last years 2023. Great atmosphere and friendly customers plus dogs are welcome and given free biscuits. An excellent choice of beers and spirits with a good menu!!!! We can't wait to come back!!! Today, unfortunately. We have been coming here for several years while on holiday because they allow dogs, and the service and beer are always great. Today, we thought we would try the food. The mixed grill (medium rare steak) and the full rack of ribs with the dirty fries looked good. The egg was a little overcooked but still jammy in the middle. The problem came when we started eating it as the food was lukewarm. A server came over doing a service check, and when we told her it was lukewarm, she apologized and took it away. Now, in my mind, and when I was in the industry, if someone sends food back because it is cold, you DON'T put the same food back on the grill to heat it up for two reasons! Firstly, cross contamination as the chef doesn't know what contact the customer has had with the food, such as licking the knife in between cutting the meat. Secondly, the lovely medium rare steak, etc, is now like shoe leather as it is way overcooked. A lovely pub spoilt by very poor food, such a shame!!! Ps. The dog food was gobbled up in seconds by the dog!!!

****Edited to reply to Owner** In response to your previous reply to my review about our experience. You obviously dont like it when someone gives you a lower than average review. We eat in quite a lot of places & take photos to leave a review whether it is good or bad. You said it took us nearly 10 mins to start eating our meals as you watched us on CCTV, but I believe that is incorrect. It is also irrelevant as even though we sent our main meals back for being lukewarm, we sat eating the dirty fries which came at the same time as were piping hot. They must have also been sitting for the 10mins at the table that you say they were. Please explain how they were piping hot, but the meat on the main meals weren't! We had no issues with the staff or the service. We were polite at courteous as we always are. It was just unfortunate that our experience with the food served to us we felt was below an acceptable standard temperature wise. We've been coming here on holiday for the last 3 years & always fancied having food here so this time we ordered food at 5pm, the order was processed quickly & food arrived in a reasonable timescale. We started to tuck in & soon we both discovered that the meat on both of our meals were lukewarm, just as the waitress came to ask if everything was OK with our meals. We sent both our meals back. New meals arrived about 5-10mins later. The meat was warmer (not steaming hot). My husbands meat was tough & my BBQ Ribs were not the best quality & didn't taste the best, put it this way, the ribs that you can buy in a box in any of the main supermarkets tastes so much better & juicy. Did we order dessert.... not a chance! We will never eat here again. Lovely pub but we don't rate the food. Plus side, the dog enjoyed his dog bowl & half my BBQ Ribs, no complaints from him.

You can always guarantee a huge plate here! The food is amazing and affordable! Never left hungry. Lovely atmosphere and very welcoming. Couldn’t recommend it more! We will return.

Such a brilliant find! Staff were so lovely and food was amazing. Never tried garlic and Stilton sauce before but it was a game changer. Food was hot, cooked to order and delicious. Great range of drinks too. Ps...really friendly locals and exceptionally dog friendly

We stopped here on 5th October after a day on Porth beach with our dog. We had a lovely plate of crispy king prawns and chunky chips. As they were dog friendly we booked for Sunday lunch today (6th). Unfortunately our dog is severely arthritic and was really stiff and in pain today. We phoned up to explain & they said they'd do us a takeaway. The roast dinner was really nice but the way they were accommodating was commendable. Truly great hosts, very dog friendly and definitely worth the review 👌

Great pub tucked away in a little village. Friendly + welcoming. Really popular and after dining it was clear why. Really scrummy food. Big portions. Hubby had Saturday steak night - big rump steak with salad, coleslaw, tomato, mushrooms, peas, onion rings and gorgeous chunky chips - £13.50. 😘 I chose garlic chicken with all the same trimmings. Delicious. So full we only managed to share a pudding. Sticky toffee pudd with custard 😋Definitely recommended- (glad we pre-booked a table). Small car park but access up a lane to use very large church car park.

Just sat in the farmers arms with my wife the food was excellent I had rump steak and all the trimmings my wife had garlic chicken the portion sizes are big. glad we didn't have a starter absolutely delicious food.

Called in a quick pint but ended up staying for food which was excellent and great value. It was a shame to have to leave and drive back to our accommodation!

We didn’t eat here unfortunately,because the menu looked great, but we was on our last day of holiday and we wanted a game of pool and found this place and what a great pub this is! Staff are very welcoming and the table is pristine along with the dartboard.. when we return next year we will definitely be coming for food.

A really fantastic family (and dog) friendly place to eat. We parked in the church car park which does have signs posted about cars being monitored but I was assured that we would be fine - and we were! Food was a good pub-grub standard with a variety to choose from and hearty portions to boot. The pie I ordered was exactly what I like - plenty of meat in the filling and a short-crust pastry! The other meals we ordered were equally enjoyed. Would definitely recommend it if you're in the area. We booked ahead as it was a Friday night and it looked as if most of the other tables were booked too.

I was in here tonight listening to the band which they were absolutely brilliant until the prick of the manger kicked them out

Had a lovely meal here tonight while we were on holiday. Had a bad experience in another pub the night before. Lovely staff attentive and friendly from the minute we walked in. We didn’t have a booking but they managed to fit us in. Ordering at the bar. Locals at the bar but the barman instantly saw and turned his attention to me (this has been a running theme where people do the opposite in local restaurants we have found) food was amazing. I had the southern friend chicken platter and my partner had the mixed grill which was huge. Everything was cooked to perfection and you can tell the meat was fresh. Evidently cooked with care and attention. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. If you are looking for a cosy pub resultant this is the place to come. We were unable to think of a pub to compare it to in our local area.

Stayed in Cornwall 3 nights, came to this place every evening, very welcoming, friendly locals, great beer and the food they take a lot of pride in also very big portions

Had the seafood linguine and it was awful. It was served on a plate with far too much sauce that was coming over the side of the plate. There was hardly any fish except for a piece of cod on the top. My partner had the mussels and a lot of them were closed.

Friendly staff, food was excellent, good value for money will be back k next time we are in the area, if you are hungry can recommend the mixed grill!!

Symbols on this little Gem.of a pub when we stayed at the Park Dean complex around the corner. Excellent range of meals on the menu and fabulous when you receive it. Would recommend. Only draw back was parking so bear in mind there are places behind the Church before you give up.

We went expecting a lot based on the great reviews, but unfortunately, the food was mediocre at best. The staff were pleasant enough, but they were rushed off their feet, so it was slow. Won't be rushing back.

Dog friendly pub with a large selection of dog treats on offer including doggie beer and doggy meals, outside seating area, large selection of ales, the food looks amazing, staff friendly, pleasant, clean tidy atmosphere. Wheelchair friendly garden access but 3 steps to walk down into the actual pub itself, nice quiet spot. Next to a beautiful church on the outskirts of town, lovely for a nice quiet drink and if your a walking fan or have welm mannered dogs its perfect for lunch.

Looking for a dog friendly pub? This is the place to go to. We had an excellent lunch with a brilliant lady who went out of her way to make us welcome. The food and service were great they even had a menu for the dog.

It was our first time at the pub, the beer was good just don’t eat there, I opted for the ribs and my wife the Steak & Ale pie, the Ribs were terrible, dry and very poor, in fact probably the worst ribs I’ve ever had, the steak and ale pie was also shocking, the meat was almost nonexistent and very chewy and the peas were hard, I haven’t given this review lightly but the food was very poor.

Our stop every time we visit newquay. Guys are friendly and the food is great and the portions are huge

Visited for a drink and a meal whilst staying locally. Car park available (smallish) steps down into rear of pub with very friendly staff, although it went a bit quiet when we entered which is a sure sign of a local pub. Our meals were fab, I had the ribs which came with a bone bowl and lemon wipe, and Rattler cyder to drink. Which twice over cost us £38.60 which is very good value. Log burner, toilets, sofas in the other bar, darts and a pool table. This place has everything you could need, so I can highly recommend it 👍

Stayed near here whilst at Boardmasters. Excellent pub, bar staff are fantastic and really went the extra mile when the pub was extremely busy. Friendly locals and award-winning hanging baskets. Dogs welcome. Definitely worth a visit 👍🏻

We had a lovely meal here. There were 8 of us and they managed perfectly. Luckiky we booked ahead and it was quite busy. The food was really good and it's reasonably priced too. They are also dog friendly.

I left a message and didn't get back to me so my husband took us there to book in for a meal tonight the barmaid ignored me and served people whom were after me and i left feeling ignored and disrespected so they have lost out on around £80 from us won't be back They said they reviewed it on cctv and i wasn't ignored but i beg to differ I'm not a liar and was ignored and not even acknowledge at all

We were a party of 11 for Sunday lunch. Beef, roast turkey, or nut roast. Between us, we tried all of them, and all were delicious. Roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and seasonal yeg. 😋 we rounded off the meal with a delicious selection of deserts. We will return.

Beer and beer garden. Good food and good service. That's how it should be.

Nice pub with lots of seats in the beer garden. Reservations should be made for indoors. Very good BBQ ribs and warm brownies with ice cream! We enjoyed it excellently.

We had, what we thought was really good food and good choice of menu for a pub lunch. The service was friendly and welcoming. Will be back in the future. The music was a tad loud ~ but then again we chose a table close to the speakers doh 🙄. Thank you Farmers Arms👍

Arrived here after trying to find somewhere to eat that served a decent pie. What can I say!! This place is a hidden gem. The atmosphere, music, food and staff are all amazing. Would highly recommend.

Really nice quiet pub. Considering there was 15 of us we managed to get a table together. Service was excellent, food was very reasonable with large portions of fresh food. It came out together quickly and was hot. Atmosphere of the pub was relaxing with disabled access to the front. A nice garden out the back. Car park a little tight but can’t be helped with the location.

I wasn't very happy with our visit. We ordered two seperate orders one after the other, our food came out at different times half the table had finishes before the other food had come out, my partner ordered prawns that came put raw! Realising after eating 2! Then put off his mains. I ordered a hotdog and found hair in the coleslaw. The manager went on to refunding us only for one meal and one starter. Not for the second meal containing hair. The baff man was absolutely rude. I am not happy with my visit as living locally in foxhole. I am disappointed by this experience. I've now wasted 50 pounds being only refunded 20 pounds. Don't go here I certainly won't be going back as now half of the family are left hungry 👍

Nice pub friendly staff steak not fit for my dog

Four of us ate and it tasted great. I had a rump steak which was very good. The fish and chips were also very good. The desserts were great. Price performance is very good. Can only highly recommend it

Busy pub.. food ok . good pint of doombar . I had a sticky toffee pudding that I won't have again. Covered in custard left not nast of pudding. Apart from that all good. Pet friendly which is good and friendly polite staff

Choice of food is limited. It was cold inside which inturn once our food arrived went cold very quickly. My partner needed to use the facilities whilst there and he said the window was open and had been jammed so it wouldn't close. There was also a snail on the wall. The pub could do with a refit to get rid of the old stale smell that the carpets etc are holding. Shame I didn't take photos to prove what I'm saying but unfortunately photos do not take into account of smells and temperatures. You supposedly have a log fire which wasn't lit. So unfortunately it's not a warm place to sit and eat.
