This is a nice pub five minutes walk from the cathedral. It offers reasonable pub food at average prices for the area. The service is good and welcoming and there is a good range of drinks. There is a pleasant outside seating area too.

This place is what a pub should be. Good beer, although maybe more ales would go down well, really tasty menu of pub classics that cater to most tastes and a really good atmoshpere. Would go back in a heartbeat.

We ate here several times during our stay nearby. The menus round about are all pretty similar and we found this place did everything that bit better and the beer is lovely too. A couple of times we turned up just before last orders for food and they accommodated us with no fuss. Everyone is up against it in the pub trade, these guys try that but harder to make things seem normal. Thank you

Came here last month with a fair few friends as part of our camping trip. Considering we were such a big group (19 people) they had no issues allowing us to walk in and make us all feel welcome. We had an amazing few hours spent here, the staff were friendly, drinks were served quickly, the jugs of pimms were really good quality. Some of us even had food which were huge portions. To make things even better, they came to our help at the end of the night when we couldn’t get a taxi to take us back to our campsite. One of the lovely staff members offered her unofficial taxi services when she clocked off and made sure we all got back safely! We can’t remember her name as we were a fair few jugs of pimms deep but she was super lovely and went above and beyond her job role and was a generally sound person, thank you. The atmosphere made the weekend!

Waited at least 45 minutes for our food to be brought to us. We had to ask for our table to be wiped down which is fine not the end of the world but just all added up. Pub could definitely do with in forcing stricter cleaning regulations. When our food came we had already finished our drinks, we ordered cod and chips my partners chips had a hair served with it. Food was ok definitely not worth £31.5. We also ordered a starter of mozzarella sticks that came out the same time as the main, they cost £5.60 and 4 mozzarella sticks came out, we were expecting a bit more for the money. Overall was ok, the hair in the food put us off and the customer service wasn’t particular great either.

A clean quirky pub with sky tv for sport in one of the small bars. Lovely wind and noise free enclosed terrace beer garden with its own bar. Dog friendly. Bar staff very welcoming and the beer ( llantrisant ipa) was very good. Food looked nice and was poplar. I visited the Farmers Arms with my family and dogs on a Saturday night in July, having booked a table (highly recommend to avoid disappointment during busy holiday season). The staff were all really friendly and efficient, the pub had a nice bustling atmosphere, and best of all the food was amazing. We expected average pub grub but it was much more than that - really delicious and great quality. We were all eyeing up each other's food as well and wanted to return to try more from the menu, but sadly we didn't have time during the holiday. So we'll be back next year!

I enquired whether there was a table outside , to which I was greeted by a gruff “full up!” I then asked if there was anywhere to sit inside, (of course the next logical option?) “order on app only” she hissed. I don’t mean to sound a little know it all, but having worked in the hospitality trade for ten years, I wasn’t too impressed by the “hospitality” of this establishment. One of the most shocking experiences with a catalogue of Covid breaches that left me feeling completely unsafe. As we entered the pub there was a very drunk and noisy group of 7 or 8 loitering about the bar (not observing the rule of 6 or table service). We settled into the dining room and ordered some drinks and food, the waitress returned and proceeded to tell us she shouldn’t be handling our drinks whilst she picked up each glass with her fingers all over the rim of the glasses. We then sat through the most uncomfortable meal I’ve ever had, with groups of drunk young people using the exit only door through the dining room as their short cut to the beer garden, wandering through without face coverings, hanging about chatting at the edge of our table and then proceeding to sit on a table near us, swapping over 20 different people in and out over the course of the evening to keep to a table of 6 as a way to get warm and then groups of them stopping to stand at the table and chat (making them a group of 9 at one point) until the bar staff asked them to stop but they just ignored them. A trip to the toilets only made matters worse, where you realise the beer garden is full of about 40 people, no one observing the rule of six, extended households or table service - it was like a festival. In the toilets there was very drunk men in the ladies urinating, someone vomiting as they were so drunk. Then as you journey back round the one way system you realise all these people in the beer garden without masks are passing through the open kitchen with no barriers. I was absolutely gobsmacked and appalled. I don’t know how this pub has been allowed to open and operate like this but it’s clearly known by locals as the place to go to avoid Covid rules and have a booze up with as many mates as you like. I have no idea whether this was just bad luck on a Saturday but it is certainly bad management and you should know the risks you’re taking visiting this pub. Avoid it if you can and head to the Bishops which had much better standards.

Venturing out of our campsite down the road we spotted this place and gave it a go as it had a lovely beer garden and a varied menu. It was a good choice as the staff were friendly and attentive, food was good and just had a very relaxed feel about the place. We only intended on staying for a bite to eat and a drink but ended up staying the pub for over 4 hours. Let’s just say the Guinness was flowing nicely. Despite being pretty full and considering the ongoing limitations due to Covid we was so thankful that we didn’t feel rushed and could enjoy our drinks in peace. To eat I had the lamb wrap which was flavoursome and a good sized portion. It felt a little strange having to eat in takeaway style packaging whist sitting in the pub but I fully understand the need during these strange times and wasn’t a problem for us. The only real downside was I was sat in the deceiving sun for that long the sunburn was a shone the following day. But definitely recommend this place, very good.

We called in here for an evening meal and a refreshing drink, first of all i had a local woman customer who had obviously had a few too many, asking me if i wanted the wine list and a children's menu, the young lad behind the bar just ignored her. The evening meal was said to be served between 6 and 9, so at 5;50, we went to order a meal but were told orders only taken at 6pm. At 5;57 other customers were starting to queue to order food, so i joined them at the bar to be told we had to wait another 3 minutes, at that point we left to go elsewhere, we were not alone, it was a joke, like being back at school.. We were glad we left because later in the evening we met some people who had stayed for their meal and they were not impressed at all. We went to the Duke of Edinburgh at Newgale where we knew you get good service, a good meal and a good pint, happy in the end but after over 20 years coming to St. Davids on holiday, i'm afraid the farmers arms has died a death.

Had lamb mint burger and the salmon, both of which exceeded our expectations for pub food in a tourist town on a bank holiday week. Not used to beer at room temperature and we were offered a few to try. When preference for cold beer was mentioned, we were directed to a lager which was perfect. Lots of locals here but we didn’t feel unwelcome at all. Would definitely return. Good prices too.

Called in for a Sunday Lunch last week and the menu was very extensive. Choose two roast beef lunched which came reasonably quickly and was very nice, nothing to blow you away but good all the same at an excellent price. Very close to the heart on the City so good access to the rest of the area.

Reasonably priced, good food, good location, nice service. Everything you want. Not as busy as The Bishop but that's a good thing in my book.

The Farmer's Arms is a lively, bustling pub in the heart of St. Davids. As American tourists, we were not familiar with the "choose your table and order from the bar" style of dining, but we were impressed. After figuring out the particulars, we learned to love the speed and friendliness of the establishment. You order and pay at the bar, give them your table number, and voila, your meal arrives in short order! There was a lot of energy and this place seems to be quite popular with the locals. We split a Ploughman's platter and an order of Welsh Rarebit and were very happy with our choices. Good food, friendly people, pretty much what Wales is all about!

Tasty pub food in a cosy and atmospheric pub. Had indoor and outdoor seating and all food was reasonably priced with plenty of choice.

Pub tradizionale molto affollato, cena discreta e birra buona. Ci siamo tornati per una birra il pomeriggio dopo, il garden è piacevole. Pulizia buona.

We visited for an evening meal, the pub serves standard pub food, with a few specials. My wife had an excellent moussaca, but my chilli was bland and fairly tasteless. Good value though, less than £10 each.

Delicious lunch today with my family & dog. Sat in the beer garden with many others. Service was swift. We came here 3 years ago and are pleased that it was as good again

After a lovely walk around the cathedral we found this little gem for lunch. 2 of us had the fish finger sandwich & 2 went for the tuna mayo sandwich. Lovely fresh bread & great service. Only wish we had salad with the sandwiches instead of coleslaw. Great choice of hot meals & plenty of tables outside to sit.

Great local pubs, with 2 hand pumps on which were Rev James and Bread of Heaven when we visited. The Bread of Heaven was in amazing condition. Cheapest pint in Tenby too. Good music, very clean and ev
