The Fantastic Sausage Factory in Weymouth and Portland

A great find! We were drawn to the shop by the music and were not disappointed! We both tried the 'hog in a box' which was delicious! Tender pork, potato wedges etc, really very tasty and value for money. Took some of the flavoured sausages home and they were really great too! Will make a special trip down from Dorch for those sausages!!

Perfect business the range of sausages are perfect the staff very helpful meats & BBQ pack definitely worth the price very friendly n knowledged on foods perfect in every way you won't be disappointed

Great Dogs, Great People, Great Music a must if in Weymouth what a place so glad decide to have a look in put it on your todo list if in town

Every couple of months we go to Weymouth from Poole to visit our favourite sausage shop to fill our freezer with all our favourite sausages 😋 😋 😋 Always TOP quality meat used no lumps of fat or gristle we have never been disappointed and to top it the staff are amazing.... thanks guys see you soon.

The sausages at the fantastic sausage factory are truly “Fantastic ! “. While standards seem to be dropping everywhere, the consistently top quality meats here can be relied upon. My two dogs prove this every time we go into town. The nearer we get, the more excited they are, and they don’t calm down until they have had their samples ! The range of sausages is amazing - I’ve never found a sausage anywhere which can match them in taste and quality.

Have been coming here and stocking up on the last day of my holiday since 2001, and buying what were always beautiful, tasty sausages. Unfortunately, this year was definitely not the same. I bought the Italian ones, 'vampire slayer' garlic and the cheddar cheese/spring onion ones as usual. Sadly and to be blunt, they were all awful. Hardly any taste due to the fact that that most of the filling was rusk etc as opposed to meat, dry as a bone. Maybe the cost of ingredients has made them scale back on the fillings, I don't know, but even so it's such a shame. I can't see myself coming in again in September when we return. Only giving 2 stars rather than one out of loyalty. Sorry guys.

Well well well what an absolute sausage fest this was. Absolute bangers on the old taste buds of all varieties. The size of the scotch eggs is truly something to behold. Will be swinging by here every time I'm having a BBQ for sure

First and last time i buy these sausages, I paid £11 for a bottle of water and 12 sausages which to me was expensive plus there was no taste to them, I’m no expert but the sausages just seemed to taste of rusk with no flavour of pork, I put 10 of the sausages out for our local foxes and they were still there the next morning…

I’ve been shopping here for years Dennis you are fantastic but the Welsh dragons are not what they used to be. Don’t know if you’ve changed the recipe but these were overly salty and not the kick we normally have wasn’t there, you called them Welsh dragons for a reason sir. So bring back that fire

We walked past here today and the smells were phenomenal. As we walked back to the car, my Partner could see I was regretting not going in the shop, so suggested we went back for our lunch. We got a "Dirty Willy" which was 3 giant sausages in a bun, covered in onions, pulled pork and a very tasty, crumbly strong cheese that was melted on the hot plate and then smothered all over the top of the hot dog. Wow!!! Absolutely delicious and the most filling hot dog I have ever eaten. The guy who served me was an absolute pleasure to talk too, and he was so helpful and chatty. I even picked up a bag of their handmade pork scratchings to eat back at home, which I ate in one sitting before I even returned home as they were so more-ish! Will be going back in the morning to grab a few more bags and to take home some of their freshly made sausages and their home made scotch eggs. It may involve some hard decisions as they make so many different types that all sound tounge tingling tantalisingly good. So glad we found this place, it was awesome.

Delicious gluten-free sausages. I bought both flavours and the were both lovely. My friends enjoyed the black pudding too.

It's definitely worth popping by here if you are in Weymouth. They've got some really interesting flavours that you probably won't find anywhere else. Prices were reasonable too, as you would expect to pay at any other butchers.

Had a breakfast roll, bacon and sausage. Took some burgers for a bbq and they were lovely. Would recommend.

Have passed this shop numerous times but never tried their products until recently. Have to say the range of sausages on offer is second to none. The quality in my opinion is very good and great tasting sausages. If you like sausages then you wont be disappointed.

We visited here last summer and wow we were impressed. An amazing choice of different flavoured sausages, authentically produced, no fat spitting out when you cooked them. The black pudding was the best I’ve ever tasted, so light and great texture. The guys who work there are very passionate about what they do. We enjoyed eating everything so much we went back and bought lots more to take home at end of our holiday.

For years I have been coming here and whenever I come to Weymouth we have to go to the sausage factory just so I can get a decent hot dog. Yes they aren’t the cheapest but it’s so worth it . The bread however on my last occasion was on the dry side but it was definitely a one off ... usually it’s faultless. Staff are friendly too

Always pop in here for breakfast sausages when on holiday , does a wide range and are always fresh and meaty , do a lovely take out service as well , the owner Dennis is always in high spirits , there cheese dawg is a lush hotdog and very filling and at a very good price

Great local butchers with biggest tastiest scotch eggs and pastys not just great sausages.set in the town's shopping area really a unique shop with Elvis songs playing into the street and an all day sausage and burger cooked on sale all day.

If you get it right the sausage man is giving away free samples of a random flavoured sausage, I walked past 24 times in differant hats and sunglasses and had a bit each time, BBQ was the flavour of the day, very nice indeed, and I worked out I got a free lunch out of it, rumor has it the King of Rock N Roll Elvis used to get his homemade Burgers here too, as there is a Monument to him outside.

What a fabulous find! It looks a bit odd from the outside.... but the sausages are fantastic. We had a selection and enjoyed everyone. We also had some burgers which were equally as good. It’s just a shame we live such a long way away. I don’t think I can justify the 600 miles round trip for sausages!

Always buy from here on last day of holidays to take home. Delicious sausages in many flavours and the Blue Vinnie for me is the nicest pork pie ever. I can understand some of the negative reviews. Maybe some folk prefer a courser filling in their pie.

I’ve been having a special hotdog from the sausage factory every time we come to Weymouth for years. My wife and I had one today and it tasted like it had been cooked all day it was dried out, looks to me that the passion for a good product has gone.

Four of us visited the shop on Saturday 4th Nov., all bought pork pies. and some sausage. We and the other couple are great pork pie fans. We had ours on Saturday evening and thought that they were absolutely revolting. We phoned our friends and they thought the same, exactly the same as us they tried them and then threw them where they belonged, in the bin.!

We always shop here for sausages, faggots and cheese when we are in Weymouth. You just can't beat them. They have the most fantastic range of sausages with wonderful names. We took in an order at the beginning of our holiday and it was ready for us to collect this morning. The staff are very friendly and helpful. You can buy hot food there as well; it smells gorgeous.

This shop is just a breath of fresh air, music playing as you pass, great statues outside, staff are so friendly and Jolly, even the signs outside are enough to make you smile. Sausages are cooked for passers by to try. My children love visiting the sausage factory. We have tried their hot food which is always amazing and a variety of different sausages to take away and cook at home which are super tasty. Highly recommended

This butchers is were the locals go it offers a great selection of local bred meats , home made pies, etc, and front of shop fantastic range of hot food including, bacon rolls pulled pork , home made cheese burgers etc. etc. If your on holiday in Weymouth don't miss this place located in St Mary Street Weymouth the best butchers I in Dorset.

We visited a couple of times while we were on holiday and tried a variety of different sausages all were lovely especially liked the balti belters and thought they were all reasonably priced.

Just back from a short holiday to Weymouth and brought home a grand selection of Sausages ..Had some 'Hells Angels' (super tasty chilli ) last night for our tea and this morning for breakfast we're having 'Orange and Chocolate' ! By Christamighty they are really fantastic ...SUPERB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've just had the pulled pork, stuffing & cranberry roll. Served with crackling & roasties. So good I'm debating to go for my lunch again tomorrow. Keep up the fantastic food guys!

Brought some hot roast pork in a tray with free roast potato s, must admit they were yummy would recommend a visit, I would have brought some sausages but had no were to keep them until I returned home .

This is one of the places you read about on trip advisor and just have to go and find. From the descriptions and it's website I expected a much larger shop but that doesn't mean it is lacking in any way. There is a massive choice of sausages and savoury delights, if you are a fan of black pudding be sure to try the slabs they are so so tasty. Staff are friendly and helpful. Great to take a selection home with you to stretch your holiday that extra day.

There is so much choice of quality meats here and the favours of the sausages are amazing. The pies are delicious and the service is always polite and prompt.

The sausages here are the best ever! Try the Cheddar Gorgeous ones - they are amazing, with very little fat and they don't split - you can really spoil yourself!

Came across whilst wondering around Weymouth Centre, was initially attracted by the loud music, and was somewhat surprised it was coming out of a sausage shop!! Large selection and plenty of deals, proof will be in the eating!!

This intriguing shop is on the main pedestrianised shopping street in Weymouth. It has an enormous array of sausages, and, if you are lucky, you will be offered one to taste.

Found it by accident when on a wander, but went back the day we were leaving and bought a great selection to take home. They are gorgeous, and none have disappointed us so far!!!! Just a shame we don't live closer!!!!

Having recently had friends visit they decided to have BBQ so purchased a fair few £££ of different sausages asked assistant if they could label them for us,was very rude thought we were joking.Won't be returning again! And not that special either

These are potentially the best sausages in the UK. Such variety and lovely helpful staff. We had Foo-king hot, Toffee Apple, Padington - all faultless and delicious!

Have looked in this shop many times but never felt able to buy because of the problems of keeping the sausages fresh, and getting them home. Worked out a plan this time, should have thought of it before, and I have consigned a fine selection of sausages to the freezer. Yum yum!
