Great local, lots of sport available, great choice of drinks and the pizzas are tasty! New owner who's kept the place as close to the last one as possible so business as usual.

Used this pub for 9 years, not a regular for maybe 3 years. I revisited recently and found, whilst the beer is ok the service has become very unfriendly, shame!

Staff are nice enough, very much a "locals" or "regulars" place but doesn't shun new people

A very friendly and welcoming establishment. Also dog friendly - Roo (the Yorkie) agrees 😊🐾. Great relaxing atmosphere, Trevor and his bar staff are very pleasant and efficient!!

Nice and welcoming pub, no real ale, but can't have everything...

Came here last night at about 10.30. The Pub was pretty crowded and everyone seemed to be having a good time Formula 1 on the TV and the boys were very happy. As a previous reviewer said - "a no nonsense old - fashioned British Pub". I think we used to call it spit and sawdust. Well worth a visit, if you want to see what pubs we're like 50 years ago and/or want to drink until later than usual.

I would give it six stars if possible. I was getting my motorcycle sericed close to here recently so I had some time to pass and I ventured in here . I ordered a coffee of a lovely friendly lady,anyway just as I ordered I realised that I did not have any cash so I asked do they take card ,she said yes,then she brought me my coffee . I asked her how much for the coffee , she said £1 but don't worry about it, I really did feel bad and tried to but a pint for anyone just so as to spend something but the lady insisted that it was fine. This is something we don't see much of anymore ,I know it was only a coffee but it means a lot in my opinion. I will be visiting the next time I am in the area and do intend on spending more than the price of a cup of coffee. I would also like to point out that the place has a lovely friendly feel about it and is spotless,it's as clean as a whistle.
