The Falcon Inn Bar & Restaurant in Rhondda Cynon Taf

I was concerned after reading the reviews however this is a lovely place and I didnt experience anything negative. Rooms are simple and clean with a rustic lodge feel, shower was better than home! Fresh towels, tea and coffee topped up when needed and very quiet surroundings. Sound of the trees, birds and water made for a peaceful break. Food - proper home cooked and hot! No complaints. Ask for the crumble if it's going! Bar - majority of everyones favourites, lovely pub feel, music, projector tv, pool table, what more would you want. Use the entrance from Forge view and the track is fine. There are brown hotel signs on Cwmaman Rd. It adds to the location driving down a track along the river. Sue and family - these guys make this place. Nothing is too much trouble, felt very welcome. They made sure we had everything and went well over and above what I'd expect. The Falcon is the perfect spot to do some of the things we did 1. Penderyn distillery - very good 2. Glynneath Golf - quiet course definitely recommend 3. Trip to Cardiff 4. Brecon steam train 5. Walks All in all, great value, great people, great place. We will be back Thanks

This is absolutely a gem of a location in one of the South Wales Valleys is amazing. Located in a valley by running water is a formed mine managers house turned into a public house and restaurant with 7 letting rooms. Had Sunday lunch there tasty home cooked lunch. Pleasant staff they run a full menu Thursday through Sunday also home delivery for Sunday lunch. Well worth a visit.

Don't waste your money, waited an hour to be served even though we pre ordered a week earlier paying a deposit and they still could not get it it right. Food was cold undercooked when complaining the food was taken to be warmed up it came back just the same. Went to wash my hands no soap, no hot water, hand dryers did not work and no paper towels. I don't know who give them a food hygiene licence?

Long wait for meal then served a cold meal. Large queue at the bar. Very under staffed won't come again.l do not recommend. Ruined a mother day family meal.

Following Wales rugby win and the celebrations that followed, I was desperate for a Sunday roast! Contacted the Falcon Inn via Facebook messenger and text on the off chance I could have one delivered at sort notice. They got back to me straight away and within the hour I had a delicious roast Beef dinner with freshly cooked vegetables, roast potatoes, mash, Yorkshire pud, stuffing and gravy delivered to the door. The food arrived hot and the potion size was spot on! More than enough! Would highly recommend and I will be definitely using them again.

Visited here today for a brunch. The weather was wet and windy but a lovely warm welcome from Sue and family. The food is first class with everything homemade. I had a panini and my daughter had the Chicken and Ham pie. Both were delicious, as were the cakes. Highly recommended, will be back soon.

A lovely little place tucked away by the side of a river. The warmest of welcomes even on snowy mornings when you turn up unexpectedly with your dog, nothing is too much trouble. Regular events and bands and fantastic food- cannot recommend highly enough!

Disgusted on arrival, appalled by condition of room, terrible management, and hotel landlady done nothing to respond to messages about us having to leave and the stress the hotel caused

The falcon is a lovely friendly, homely pub... it caters for all the family with the children playing in the stream like we did as children ourselves... while mams and dads get to have a little drink together... Sue and Dee are very welcoming and will do anything to accommodate you and your family... Sue is working so hard at making the falcon a place where people will feel at home and be her dream home/family pub!
