Raw chicken! Beware. Use to like there set meals, but I have been put off for life.

Shocked and upset! Ordered tonight, have ordered before and food was good. Tonight however! Shameful terrible. The chicken was fully raw, and numerous pieces. What worst I had ate half before realizing. It’s totally unacceptable to be serving raw chicken, and extremely dangerous for your consumers health.

I ordered the house special rice and roast pork fried rice. It was so delicious. My kids devoured the food and wanted more. I wished I bought more. You have a customer for life. I have told all my friends to start patronising you. I haven't had such a nice Chinese in a long while. Thank you for the good food

7 years I gave this place full marks got my meal tonight it was shocking chips cold and tasted not fresh chicken curry not very hot lots chicken less sauce sorry won't be spending that kind of money in there again £26.

I always call before to make my order and it is always done by the yime I arrive. Quick service and tasty food. Highly recommend the special fried rice and aromatic duck. Seating needs updating as the sofa is very low and too soft.

My first visit was OK but when I visited the second time the quality of food was somewhat compromised and I think it was because there was an unusually high demand that they couldn't cope with. They should be prepared at all times so as not to be overwhelmed with a sudden increase in demand.

The food was delicious this will definitely be our new Chinese regular! Food arrived hot and under an hour. The only thing that was a bit too much was the satay chicken the sauce was amazing but the texture of the sauce was really too much it was sooo thick and almost jelly like, and for me personally too much sauce for not alot of chicken.

I have always ordered from Empire. We are a family of very fussy eaters and don't like the vegetable etc Empire get our order right every time with a very efficient and professional and polite service the wait time is very quick and the guy who d3luvers is also very polite and respectful the food is absolutely amazing and I would recommend this Chinese take away every time. Come from thurrock to see some friends who live in barking on way home got hungry and found this Chinese my husband went into get it and oh my god this was so gorgouse chicken balls amazing and chinese so clean and light. I will be driving the distance again to come to get more food from here the best chinese and taste gorgous

Had a few deliveries from this takeaway and the food isn't bad. The problem is that they brought wrong order and admitted it, but didn't come up with the solution how to make things right.

Forgot my drinks Bought the wrong food, was going to eat but sauce tasted like it was from a jar, I went back to collect correct food , completely tasteless. A complete waste of money

Loved the Korean style rice noodles

Some items were not what I was expecting but still pleasantly surprised for some. The food tasted good but the fried seaweed was stale and had been waaay over salted I think in an effort to cover this up. The honey chicken wings were particularly delicious. The crispy chilli beef wasn’t in a thicker chilli sauce as I’m used to but was still good and had a slight lemon tang. As delivery was just under an hour I’d expect everything to be fresh but I do understand we made a slightly later order. Would’ve been 4 stars if it wasn’t for the seaweed!

The lady not one was Rude, She had ask another person to open the door 🚪 even though it was cold and windy outside. Then during our conversation she went to the kitchen and had a conversation in the kitchen the whole period we was there. She was very harsh, rude and Unprofessional... After 1.5 years of not coming to the shop, I thought they would of improved, but still haven't... The Food is not FRESH and Unfortunately I had to throw it away... Very disappointed 😥 I WILL NOT RECOMMEND...

Worst Chinese Takeaway,just as if you are eating a cardboard.Bringing wrong order.

First time ordered here. Went for a lemon chicken and fried rice for lunch. As my expectation is high. I have had many take aways and believe me you do get bad ones. As for this place, its nice. Chicken is tasty and not to over sauced. Apart from getting the rice and noodle mixed up with my colleagues lunch. It's great and will definitely come back again. See you soon

I think the food here is delicious and I have no complaints. The meals are also reasonably priced which makes a change in London. Also the reply to some of these reviews are hilarious! Guess it's true that sometimes the customer isn't always right and I think it's ridiculous that places will try to ruin a company's reputation by leaving untruthful and deceptive comments

I go here fairly consistently and I am never disappointed, food made quick and tastes good! Prices for the food is good, with them offering nice deals like their lunchtime specials, however drinks could be a tad bit cheaper but doesn't affect the experience anyways. Easy 4/5.

They sent me wrong order and when I explained to them they didn't want to accept their mistake instead they were asking me to pay more money though my order was not completed. Bad customer service

Practically Tushed and fit for purpose

Been there for 5 years now and I had no issue. Today, like in the past I have ordered via phone. They can barely understood my order and when I went there to collect and pay he said no cards. On the menu it states you can pay with card. It was a sticker on the wall saying “card payment after lunch” or something similar. I have been charged £1.85 to get some money out as there is only 1 cash point working. The guy serving at the takeaway was very ignorant, not even apologising for not accepting card payment. He did not showed any respect whatsoever for me as the customer. Will never go there again.

Been coming here for over 10 years, good quality, fast food at a reasonable price.

This was an awful take away meal.. full of grease..food to spicy.. order was wrong .. pawn crackers tasted of mold..threw most of my order in the bin.. this use to be a very good take away once but I will not use again.. wasted my money.. do not use

used to be the best Chinese iv ever had but its blatantly changed ownership/chefs because its now completely rubbish seriously people iv been back twice since it changed first time i thought ok bad night second time i said never again ohh and buy the way they put the put the prices up.. real shame used to be so good

They have great special fried rice and I love their salt and pepper king prawns. They also have good service but I suggest you just order and collect as the delivery can take a bit long.

Zero star, very bad quality Chinese food I ever tasted. Never going back to this take way again. 1)chicken & sweet corn soup was very sweet and not tasteful at all. 2) Chicken Chow Mein was very dry & very salty couldn’t put it in your the mouth. 3) Prawns Chow Mein it was very dry & very salty too not tasteful at all.

I live around the corner seagull Close. This is the only legitimate Chinese restaurant for milessssss. You know what you are eating is authentic and over the years some restaurants will fail but they just got amazing. Sincerely you won’t be disappointed.

When in Barking area i have always used this takeaway..and always paid cash on delivery....however tonight...i have not had chance to get cash from ATM...asked if i can pay by VISA as they say they accept it... Only deliver to address as per card... As i live in Wiltshire but work away all week my delivery address will be different... Surely paying by VISA is no different to cash...you get payment before i get my food !!! WILL NOT BE USING YOU EVER AGAIN !!!

I've been ordering from Empire for a long time, the food never disappoints. Delivery is quite quick most of the time. I guess its due to the volume of orders they get. Just a shame that they don't have an online presence- no website, no hungry house or just eat partnership... But would definitely recommend.
