I have a very bad experience by buying food at QQ the food was horrible this the third time I was given old food is not nice if you can manage a restaurant...I will advise you to open a public toilet instead so people will know QQ is the best places to do number one and number two not a restaurant OKEY

The food, especially the beef was dry and hard, the chicken wasn’t grilled properly and was boiled with pepper around it rather than grilled

I am highly disappointed with the order I received today. I have eaten at QQ a few times and decided to place an order tonight for Ayamashé and white rice. Everything was fine until I looked at the stew, which contained only small pieces of meat. For £15, it isn't worth it. If I had eaten in, would it have been the same? The stew is also bitter, like really. It’s not acceptable, you guys should do better. This is very disappointing, and I will likely not place another order in the future.

The Food is beautiful and the staff are so kind. The food is exquisite. I really love this restaurant and rate it 100000 stars!

I came to see a friend in Ilford and we decided to go eat at QQ Grill. That was the worst decision of the night as I was practically starving. The environment was lively with a nice looking pool board that seem to draw some attention. I Ordered jollof rice and chicken with some drinks. Food took close to an hour and still didn’t arrive till I left in frustration. The ‘Alex’ that attended to us had a very demeaning disposition, unapproachable and made us feel like we were begging to get his attention. Terrible service I’d say especially for a first impression. I sure don’t see myself visiting again. NB: My friend had to go back to get the food in a pack as he said he couldn’t let the money go to waste.

The suya was chewy 🤦🏾‍♀️ but I've been here previously and had good food. The dj was good. Only real negative is the door. Everytime it's opened the cold gush comes in an it prevents the building from staying warm. Perhaps they can put another door in front where door is to help try to maintain the room temperature. No one wants to eat in the cold

They play a nice mix of afrobeats music, theres a pool table and their assorted meat pepper soup is delicious 🤤 If you are there to enjoy yourself, please ignore all the intimating stares by other customers!

Absolutely annoyed! I’ve ordered gosh Meat stew from nopales countless times and I’ve received red ofada stew? I specifically point it out and ask for the meal to not be spicy and yet the insist on delivering a completely different order that’s way too spicy and takes away from the flavour. Just hot with no flavour! Red ofada IS NOT the same as a regular goat meat stew. Please do better and stop being lazy

We found this place online when visiting London and decided to try it. They sell the best Nigerian food. I loved the ofada sauce and rice, and the meats we ordered were the highlight! Soft and delicious suya and asun with just the PERFECT amount of seasoning. We didn’t even remember to take pictures because we just dug in right away. I look forward to visiting London again soon just so I can go back there.

I was sent the wrong items, this was after I had contacted them PRIOR to submitting my order and making notes on for the restaurant.

I made an order today and the order was accepted and i waited for over and hour! For the order to be cancelled with no reason why!

**Worst Experience with QQ** This was shockingly not a one-time issue. I ordered food from QQ via Just Eat, and after three hours, my food still hadn't arrived. Desperate, I called an Uber and transferred money for them to pick up the food. When the Just Eat driver finally arrived, I instructed them not to hand over the order to Just eat but to the Uber driver, but they did exactly that. This meant I ended up paying twice for the food, plus the cost of the Uber. Adding to the frustration, I had just undergone surgery and couldn't cook, with a child at home to care for. This ordeal caused immense stress for both me and my child. The unprofessionalism displayed by QQ was intentional and utterly disappointing. I would not recommend this service to anyone.

I have eaten at all the African spots in Essex and East London, this is hands down the best suya spot. The suya is smokey, fresh & tender. Also …the best jollof, using the best rice. I’ve a regular for 3 yrs now and it’s consistently good!

I bought isi ewu ( goat head dish) it was really bad, made with bad oil, bad taste, full of bone, not worthy of my money and time spent to order and collect.. don't buy isi ewu from them pls.

Slightly late by ten mins. Bony turkey with not much meat and chewy beef with gristle. The white rice and pepper stew was authentic and well cooked, though but the meat could be SO much better in terms of tenderness, quality and amount of meat.

We were at the restaurant yesterday for dinner. After dinner, I ordered tilapia fish for takeaway. I just had the tilapia a few minutes ago, and I am so disappointed. How do you sell tilapia with scale. It was really bad that i had some stuck to my throat. My sister ordered one too, and she had the same complaint. We were given efo riro sauce as fish sauce because you can perceive locust beans in it. I couldn't enjoy the fish. To think that this is my first time here. It's a No No. Staff need to do better.

Their food used to be good but I don't know what happened. The white rice I ordered 3 weeks ago wasn't nice at all and I was given beef instead of the chicken I ordered. They made me waste money because I don't eat beef. Ordered tilapia peppersoup again yesterday but it wasn't worth it. It was just like boiled fish stock with pepper. I don't think I want to try again. Can't keep wasting money.

The worst place I have ever eaten in my life. Expensive for the type of food. I would prefer to give 1000 pounds to a homeless person rather than buy again in this place. Went for a family outing. As we were a group of 8, seating as a problem, as we tried to join to tables together which was not allowed… on our part as we did not book in advance so no qualms there, but the layout of the place is pretty poor, tables and seats are all packed tight together which is not ideal when getting up or finding your seat. Moving on to the food.. personally I thought the food was unmatched, I got one of their soups and pounded yam and a portion of suya, only wish the portions was better but I really did enjoy my order, whereas my mother got the fish platter, it was pretty bland which was disappointing as we know us Africans can spice things up. Taking the order was a struggle for the waiter and when we complained about the fish, it was a lot of back and forth. Personally the environment wasn’t the best for new comers and gosh was it loud, but understandable we are loud people so not much of a complaints say. It was an experience for sure, unfortunately just did not have much of a spark to it, nice for a one time thing

I normally come here and I don’t ever have high expectations because tbh here is known for awful service. However this time I came I was ABSOLUTELY DISAPPOINTED. The waitress was rude with a very long face, I’m sorry you don’t like your job but please this is still a business at the end of the day and keep it professional. Secondly, I got the wrong item from what I ordered and I asked if I could get that they said it’ll take extra 30 mins when I already waited 45 mins for simple Okrah… never coming here again and best believe I will keep telling people to not come too.

I've been there a few times and always had a great time. The food is delicious and the atmosphere loud and lively. Only drawback is the length of time to wait for the food, but this is because everything is cooked from scratch. However, the flavours and delicious taste make up for it. I highly recommended QQ if you enjoy or would like to try African cuisine. You won't be disappointed.

I loved the food a little bit pricey, but it was worth the wait , I like the ambience reminds me of naija, the pool table is one in town bump to play with your card or phone 📱

Staff are rude and non attentive. Staff would rather watch football on the TV than provide customer service. Lack of communication and coordination, I ordered 6 items on the menu and only 4 went through because the waiter was more interested in the football. The food I ordered for takeaway was wrong and when questioned I was told “it wasn’t on the order slip”, luckily I had my receipt and when showing them they didn’t even have the audacity to apologise or acknowledge their mistake. The food takes forever to arrive to the table, although the food itself is half decent I would never go back due to the service provided.

Would have rated it higher but: 1. The meat was inedibly TOUGH. Almost broke a tooth 2. Music was great! but so loud we couldn't hear each other 3. I asked for a takeaway container for my jollof and the girl behind the bar had the cheek to suck her teeth at me and tell me it would cost me. I probably would have paid if it wasnt for her disgusting attitude. We only ended up here because Kings Lounge was so busy. I certainly wont be coming back.

I ordered a takeaway app where they didn’t have the option to have beef stew so I called the restaurant and the guy spoke to said no worries they’ll add it in as a replacement of another stew I ordered so then I placed the order with this knowledge and I called back to let them know my order number and which one it is to change, but then a lady (Ade) picked up instead and said what the guy said wasn’t correct and that I wasn’t able to change my order and if I wanted to add stew, I would have to place another order again, means I have to pay extra delivery extra service fees everything. So that’s what I did and I called her and she said yes don’t worry will change it order one arrives. The order arrives and it’s the wrong thing. I call her and she confirms that they didn’t change it. She the said there is nothing they can do about it, no solution no nothing. There was absolutely no empathy on her side not even an attempt to rectify the situation. Customer service is absolutely ridiculous, I don’t recommend at all

Bought jollof rice with beef and there was a fish bone in the rice. I don't know how it ended up in there. Also the rice texture was there like rubber. Just disgusting

I ordered two meals to take awayand was given a 25 minutes waiting time. I arrived 10 minutes early and waited for my food. After waiting for another 30 minutes, I was told that my order is not available on the menu of the day.

Was very disappointed with the service. The order took long to prepare and when it was served, I had no cutlery to eat with, I had to ask for it. I must say though that the server brought a bowl of water to wash hands with. For drinks, I ordered cranberry juice. To my surprise the server brought the whole carton of juice ( 1 litre) without even a glass ; so I had to ask for a glass. When we had finished eating we asked for a doddy bag to take leftovers, the server brought us a card machine and said the doggy bags were £ 2. I've not heard of that before and I've eaten in so many restaurants over time and don't recall ever being asked to pay for a doddy bag. - The portions were very generous, my friend and I were pleased about that, but over all, I wasn't impressed. Ps! I must also add that it was my first time dining in a Nigerian restaurant, and that didn't give me a good impression.

This is my worst experience placing an order online. 55% of my order wasn't delivered. I called the restaurant, and the young lady I spoke with hung up on me. Additionally, the packaging and the quality of the food weren't great.

Let's be honest this place is a rip-off Abula for £20 with meat cut up in small pieces like your feeding a 2year old this is not it. There are places that are doing abula for £15 with proper pomo big cuts of shaki and proper cut of beef. Had the abula for takeaway was disappointed with the quality and quantity of the food considering the price. Also ordered grilled talipia with Yam, which was disappointing. Also, let's just say the fish might aswel been sushi was very wet and not properly grilled for £25 it should be done properly. Please don't waste your time or money on this place.

The food is nice but the service not so great.

Waited over one hour for my food which I was ok with since it’s a big fish I ordered ( the croaker with yam and plantain) now the food came and it was cold ! Cold ?? How on earth cAn you bring me cold food ? The plantain and yam were 6 piece each ! So small and they were not nice piece , plantain was hard and was the yam ! Nothing fresh, I was so disappointed. The fish itself had no real flavour , tiny bit of peppers were there and some tiny sauce( the sauce was nice ) thats the only thing in the order that was nice , the sauce. It is a shame you pay a high price and they bring you supbar food . I will not order from them again.

Ok it was cold, table was shaky, very noisy, table was dirty, had to call three staff members before it was cleaned. Ordered more drinks 🍸 took repeating it three times before it came. Food took a while but was the best part of the night. The Dj was fantastic 👏

Visited in 2022, and enjoyed the food, revisited. Ordered Suya, turkey wing, jollof with fish. Suya arrived 20 minutes after ordering, and the turkey wing arrived, 15 minutes after suya. Waited 2 hours for the main meal. I cursed so hard and requested a refund to be told, I can not have one, but informed 3 times, my food was on its way. Upon arrival, the food was on point. Lovely, flavoursome jollof rice. They seem to favour take away orders over customers dining in, so you see lots of orders leaving, Uber coming and going, but not your food arriving. This got on my last nerve, and if they didn't have my £60 I would have walked out. Nice food, but be prepared to wait. Complaining is of no use on deaf ears. The waitress delivered the main meal but failed to take the plate from the starter, so my friend had to sit with dirty plate. Honestly, we didn't know whether to laugh or cry 🤣🙈

It took 2hrs20mins to prepare and serve my food. The man behind the bars is so rude and not friendly. After all the wait, the food was salty. When a complained, they were so arrogant and aloof.

Staff female servers so reluctant and non chalant behaviour 😒 lack of professionalism. Walking around with their phones whilst serving customers. No proper dressing with pierced belly button. Management need to adjust that behaviour it stinks and degrades the restaurant. Food was great. Live music on Fridays.

Had a good birthday outing with my friend at QQ Grill. Well prepared food, nice atmosphere for touch and feel of African cuisines. I recommend it for group hangout.

Every time I place an order I end up getting something forced on me. This is the third time it is happening. Instead of cancelling and refunding they take it upon themselves to replace your order with what they feel like.

You pay a fair amount for money to get a small portion of food. I had to make a second order to compensate myself. I found the customer service poor, there was no willingness to understand or even resolve my complaint, just the same old defensive challenge. I’m afraid I can’t recommend this restaurant to new customers, they seem set to serve only individuals it already knows well, such brazen ineptitude is grossly unprofessional and you should never as an individual or business let yourself get to this place.
