This review is more for the takeaway/delivery area, but if the takeaway food is anything to go by, the restaurant must be amazing. Best kebab in romford, at least.

The food is great, i recommend their hummus with lamb cubes. Very reasonable prices and always get my order perfectly. Go straight to their website for a small discount instead of uber or justeast etc.

Ok for a cheap meal with pals. Don’t notice if it’s licensed for alcohol. Food is ok , usual kebabs and lamb shank etc. nothing out of the ordinary. More of a takeaway kebab shop than a nice restaurant really. Went on a date but regretted it. As romantic as a public toilet! Clean , but Spartan. Waiters weren’t really waiters. More kebab shop servers ! No coffee. Can’t hate it but i wouldn’t recommend it for a date. Food was ok. You can’t do much wrong with a kebab and a can of coke , can you?!

Food was good. Price was reasonable. However i had become a regular here due to convenience but the treatment is poor. And the portions are small. The plate looks bare when it arrives. Children were told off by staff. Not a smile seen on staff. Wasn't a pleasant experience. I hope to find somewhere else as i dread to see the miserable faces serving me my food.

Honestly I hate giving lower rated reviews, I always used to order from this place as the quality of their food was great and the portions were always good! However I have just ordered a sharing platter and they gave me the tiniest portions of chicken shish and Adana kebab honestly, I appreciate the stacks of salad boxes and bread/rice thanks but this is just not nice to see, the meat in this sharing platter is good for just one person who likes their food. Imagine fighting over meat pieces because there isn't enough between two people after buying a "sharing platter" lol, would have gotten more food from ordering two combination kebabs. It bothers me thinking about wasting money like this. Don't waste your time and money here.

A restaurant who used to deliver good quality food and decent portions. Now it would appear it is all about taking your money and serving you sub standard cold food. £9 for 4 pieces of chicken!!!, yep 4 pieces….. £12 for seven!! That is a disgrace. Food now is delivered cold, bread no longer heated through the griddle and I could go on. All not worth the wait (3 hours) or the money. It is now all about turnover. Order was wrong which meant a wait for the missing items which took another hour and cold. Called restaurant to be told they are very busy and hung up the phone 3 times. UBER NOT MUCH BETTER EITHER!!. Hated this experience, hated the food and hated the restaurants attitude. But most of all hated MYSELF FOR BEING MUGGED OFF and won’t be back.

Just ordered some snacks and baklava on uber eats, ordered 2x portion of baklava, and one of the boxes clearly out of date????? frozen and wet on arrival! 02/02/2022!!!!!!!! disgusting someone should notify the council of their out of date food!! after reading reviews i dont know why i ordered from here. Never again!!!!!! Dried, unkept meat, I literally tried to get a refund from just eat but it was impossible!! This place is NOT a decent Turkish, I had 1 mouthful of the meat and now I'm on toilet, less then 30 minutes!!

we have ordered from here since 2017 but today we had an insect in our food which ruined the dish. called the store to let them know very nicely. The manager straight away dismissed us and said ' impossible no way, your the only people who have ever complained about this'. we said we took a picture and have proof and he still didn't believe us and was very rude. he got annoyed trying to put the phone down and we kept talking and finally said next time we'll give free food and we said you won't even remember us you didn't take any details and again he arrongantly said well your the only one complaining. we have been loyal customers so it was so disappointing that when we came to them with an issue they reacted so rudely and basically called us a liar and didn't give any solutions. I wouldn't have bothered writing a review at all if they had handled it nicely and professionally. Customer service means a lot especially a good manager. if theres an issue which there easily could be I would prefer not to be called a liar, so we wont be coming to this turkish again.

I have had amazing food yesterday from AKSULAR. The manager / owner give an own selection for Dine for 2 person for IFTAR. I AM an Bengali but love Turkish food and had loads in North London ( in Dalton, Hackney, Edmonton) but AKSULAR RATE ONE OF THE BEST!! Thanks for a GREAT IFTAR!

The family platter is honestly one of the tastier foods I have tasted. The bulgur is so flavourful eating it with salad. Personally the Adana is the tastier meat out of the rest. Have been ordering the platter for a while now every now and then. Feels up 2-3 people in family. I am probably going to order today again lol.

Really bad quality of food. It's definitely not authentic Turkish food. The garlic sauce is actually yoghurt & mint sauce and the salad was not the typical Turkish style salad. The rice was overcooked and mushy and the doner made me feel sick. I also ordered chicken shish which was ok, at best. If you know Turkish cusine, you will definitely not like this place. Never again, I'm afraid. The two stars are for the fact that the food came hot (but then again, I only 0.5 miles away) and the prices are reasonable. Other than that, it's a big NO from me.

Best turkish restuarant in Chadwell Heath/Romford. I always order the Aksular special (£36 for around 3-4 people) and Chicken Sarma Beyti!! I highly reccommend the above!

we ordered Family meal 2 for dinner and got delivery with in 15 mints. v efficient. when we start eating and realised: 1. their Meat (Adana Kebab) is out of date. 2. boiled rice were out of date. when called in restaurant to complain (not sure it was the owner or staff) and he start arguing that some thing is wrong with our (3 people) mouth taste and their meat and rice is fresh. we offered him to come and have a look or we can bring it to their shop. Don't even believe on their hygiene rating since this meal. Such a rubbish service apart from delivery and wont recommend to any one. .

Ordered Chief's Grill: Large and Aksular Special Platter plus some sauces and sides.. Spent £60.2 and gotta say that food tasted real nice, but the ammount of meat in the dish was like for vegetarians. Seriously though, grilled meats weren't too bad, I'd say even decent tasting. Garlic and chilli sauce - that's definetly worth trying. But the portion size (in particular the ammount of meat)... Guys, gotta up the game in this department.

Ordered fish x2. Never again. Fish was overcooked all charred, blending with fresh salad. In addition salad was soaked with same sort burned spiced oil. Made it uneddable. Chips charred from the fish and soggy placed next to salad. Oh...and bread covered all in the same burned spiced oil. I had rice previously, now there is no option even. I did order before and was a delight. This time complete disappointment.

Horrible service. Paid £17 for 3 burgers. 10 minutes later got a knock at my door (I live 0.4miles away so didn’t expect too long but 10 minutes is too quick). The result was a a bun with stale stale salad slapped on it and a fried patty. And stale chips. Just horrible. Called and talked to a rude manager. Will share pictures if I can.

We always order our Turkish food from here using JustEat. Hands down the best.

I ordered a big delivery for my family using their Uber service everything was fine apart from the lamb shish was completely raw & we rang the restaurant up to tell them about our situation instead of being helpful the man was rude & sarcastic & told us to “go complain wherever else we like” which was very surprising as of this big mistake of serving raw food & on top the rude Coustomer service I do not recommend...

Amazing food, so delicious I couldn't even pause and take a photo.. be mindful of huge portions, had to take half of it with me. Very friendly staff as well! Thoroughly recommend!

Best Turkish food I have ever tasted!

Just had from here. I love in Romford to many places to chose from around here. This was the best lamb Shish kebab I have had in years. Better than any lamb I’ve had from places in Romford , Hornchurch and Upminster! Bravo gents. Very speedy delivery too. Thank you

Absolutely disgusting, food was tasteless and sloppy

The food was inedible. Literally. I had to throw everything away. The kebab meat was cold and greasy, the sauces were runny like water and tasted bland and the half pounder meat was tough like cardboard. I honestly don't know if these positive reviews both on here and JustEat are fake or not, but it was definitely the worst take-away I had in over a year.

Placed an order via their website. Waited more than 1 hour and ended up calling to ask where our food was. Spoke to a rude man on the phone who said 'Its with the driver now ,so however long its takes for him to drive. I put the phone down waited a further 30 min before calling again. A nice man answered and apologised for the inconvenience but said his website was broke and wasn't sending them orders through. My question was why did the 1st guy who answered tell me its on his way. I even gave him our address to check. He asked what I'd like to do and I asked for a refund however he was uncertain if I would receive the money back as he had never processed one via his website before. In the end I said just send me the food and a drink as compensation . They guy said we will throw you in extra for the delay. Food come 2 hours after we originally ordered, delivery driver very apologetic and sincere. Was warm, salty and not worth the money. Lamb hummus was only half the portion we normally get and the extra was Turkish sweets. Overall disatisfactory. I've eaten here before and it's been lovely. Always gone direct to order from their website too and not just eat or uber. Unfortunately after our experience , we are hesitant to order again anytime soon.

2nd time ordering from this restaurant, it was a lovely experience the first time which prompted me to order again. Unfortunately the 2nd time was a disappointing experience. Their confirmation email notifed me that the food would be delivered 19:41 its now 21:38pm! I called the restaurant more than once to track my order and they called their driver and he said he will be here in 5minutes that was mentioned 30minutes ago. Lack of communication and poor timekeeping. Food is still yet to arrive....

Take away, 1st time there...well done boys, big portions, good in fact great grill....haydi ileri.

Food always amazing even if you go in and eat or get it delivered

I have used this restaurant on a regular basis but not anymore. I waited forever for a delivery when I phoned I was told he was outside. He had gone to the wrong address, he insisted on payment before giving me the food, as I turned to pick up my purse from beside me he stormed off with my food. Having used this restaurant on a regular basis for several years I was astounded to be treated in this way therefore I have removed all my previous reviews and will never use again neither will any of my friends or family. As a PTSD sufferer living alone I did not expect to be shouted at or feel threatened. The food is OK but there are many other better ones in the area.

1st time ordering from here. £50 bill as were a huge family 😊 Arrived earlier than expected, delivery guy polite. Food was absolutely amazing . Calamari cooked perfectly. Kebabs were to die for , kleftico was awesome the meat just fell of the bone .. portion sizes were great. Food was hot on arrival. Will certainly order from here again one of the best Turkish meals weve had in awhile in the borough. Good job guys. Well worth the money

Below par considering the other Turkish restaurants in the area. I got delivery as had a beer otherwise I always eat at Melih down the road. Breads were doughy and tasteless. I like crispy thin lamachan. This wasnt. Meat ok ish Baba ganoush nice. Accompanying bread again doughy. This place was recommended to me. Sorry but I wouldn't recommend.

Best Turkish food in Dagenham! Ordered from here few times now and all the times food arrived on time and piping hot. Portions are huge and the sharing platter is enough to feed a whole family twice! Loving the spinach and feta cheese filo pastries 👍🏻

Good Turkish restaurant. Small place. Clean. The usual fare. The bread they give is very big and generous. Larger than your average. All freshly made as can be expected. Friendly staff. Slightly more expensive than other Turkish restaurants.

Just had a takeaway from here for the first time,was not our first choice but as the other restaurant that was recommended to us could not deliver to us we opted for this place. Me and my partner can both agree the food was amazing and here will definitely be our first choice next time. Portions are a great size and great value for money.

Turkish Mediterranean restaurant and takewawy. Delicious sharing platter menu with breads and colourful salad. Selection d cold and warm starters and sharing plates. Vegetarian option available and delicious. ..try the Filo feta parcels 😊 ...clean , friendly and inexpensive.

We just love the Lamb & Chicken Shish Kebabs from this restaurant. The meat is always so tender and tasty. We eat in too quite often and the staff are always friendly and helpful. The restaurant is a lot smaller than it used to be but that hasn’t made any difference to the quality of the food.

Have been ordering about once or twice a week for a couple of years now, and just had the most disappointing experience here. We placed an order for delivery, but when it came, the rice was soggy like a porridge. It had been soggy the time before too, but had just thought that they had an off day, but being the second time in a row, and much worse than last time, I called to let them know, only to be told “I know, I saw it before it went out of the door”! I asked why it had been allowed out of the door like that, and was told that “it’s only water, it doesn’t matter, there was an accident with the amount of water added”! I told them that it did matter, and that the rice had arrived mushy and inedible twice in a row now, but was met with “well what do you want me to do? I will look after you next time” to which I replied “There won’t be a next time”! Never ever again, and they have lost a loyal customer!

Raging! Order food before 9pm and food has got here past 10.45pm. Called them 3 times gave me a b.s excuse how someone took their food refused to pay. Then the driver called couldn't find my address and wanted a further 15mins to find it. My wife called then and the guy on the phone was rude. Saying they was busy and that the incident wasn't their fault. Would not accept the mistakes... what a joke! We are new to the area and was likely to be repeat customers... WHAT A JOKE AND BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Ordered a starter and main came to £12.50. The food arrived before the hour that was stated. It was tasty and hot, bread rice and salad was included. I thought this was well worth the money. Will order from here again.

For me, this is one of the best places to get good, fresh, delicious and reasonably priced Turkish food. If you haven't tried it you must. Only downside I will criticise is if you order a lamb shish or chicken shish, you'll have to order extra couscous because they never give enough with it.

I’ve had enough of this restuarant’s cheekiness. I could right a book about it but this one here takes the cake. I didn’t even remember that my number was private when I phoned twice to make a couple enquiries. I was ordering online as I could see what’s on the menu. The second time i phoned was to inquire if the Ferrero Rocher was an ice-cream and how big it was as it was £4.50. The man who answered asked if I hadn’t already phoned 5 mins ago. I said yes and that I’m ordering online so I just wanted to make sure. His reply was that how big do I expect the ice cream to be, it’s big enough for one person. I said to him he doesn’t have to sound so annoyed and cheeky as I just wanted to find out, and again I reminded him that I’m ordering online. He asked me why I’m calling him on private number (which I didn’t even remember) and that he can’t take me seriously. I told him regardless of that I’m a customer and I’ve ordered from them several times, and even gave him my address. He told me to unprivate my number and call him back. I told him I wouldn’t because of his rudeness. I don’t care how lovely their food is. If the customer service isn’t good then I won’t enjoy the food. And I’ve had a run in with them because of this many times already. But this is it. My lil chump change still goes towards your business and you need to remember that customers are the one that keeps your doors open. Good words spread and so does bad. The food is lovely. Work on your customer services and it’ll be exceptional.

Ordered a takeaway for four people. One meal was missing. The rest of it was cold including the chicken and lamb shush and it did not seem to be fresh Did not bother to phone and complain. They was nothing that could have been done. Will never go back.

The food is very good but they have no food Standards Agency ratings and I personally will not use again until the ratings are carried out

A great place, nice food, staff are always friendly to us. My favourite thing about visiting is the bread. I love the bread here. They give you a couple of dips with the warm bread and its lovely. The only thing I would like to be improved is the heating in the place as sometimes can be a little cold. Otherwise a recommended place to eat.

Service is always great when we eat here. The portion sizes are more than enough. If you haven't eaten your meal they offer doggy bags. The meat is always cooked well and never too fatty.

Turned up half hour late and the feta parcels were soggy and had a bit of off lettuce in the tray. Chips were cold as well. When I rang to try and arrange for more feta parcels he said it’s to late. Won’t be going there again. Wish I could add photos to this review.

I love Aksular Palmers Green and had high hopes for this branch. Unfortunately, i was disappointed as there were no several free starters such as aubergine, peas and potato, humus or turkish tea at the end of the meal, as there is in Palmers Green. The waitress wasn't Turkish and didn't know her dishes and struggled to understand my order. I asked her if they sold a pide like the Palmers Green branch, but she didn't know what it was and i had to explain it was like a Turkish pizza. The meat platter was nice however, there were only two lamb chops in it for £30 and it took too long to arrive at the table. The starter bread was burnt and I had to ask twice and wait ages before it was finally served with some tzatziki only. This place should not be called Aksular restaurant as it is letting the name down.

My partner and our son have just got home after a absolutely lovely meal here. The food was absolutely amazing to start we were given free garlic and chilli dip with bread and tzatziki. We ordered the special platter to share between 3-4 people, well let me tell you when it came out i told my partner and waitress there was no way we were eating all of that it was MASSIVE hower as soon as we tucked into it the meat was so tender and tasty that before we knew it the 3 of us, 2 adults and a 10 year old child had consumed something 4 adults should only eat and this was only because the food was way too good to leave. The waitress was very helpful and couldn't do more to assist our every need, we even got a free baklava for afters and the lovely waitress gave my son a lolly. Perfect service and perfect food we will definitely be back.
