The Elms Harvester in Coventry

We have visited The Elms Harvester many times over the years as it never fails to be warm and welcoming with great food and drink, obviously! All staff here are fantastic but special mention needs to be given to Rona who works very hard and always looks after us and treats us more like old friends than just another customer. Lovely lady and a credit to The Elms and Harvester in general. Looking forward to the next visit, cheers!

Really nice meal (30th Oct) and great value when comparing with other offerings around. The highlight though was what I can only describe as an exemplary display of professionalism, friendliness and customer courteousness shown to us by Amy. Thank you to all at the Elms

The lunch at the elms harvester was great today. The food was amazing, our Waitress was Rona. The service from Rona was excellent in which gave us all a fantastic experience today. I would recommend the elms harvester.

Staff were warn and welcoming, Chris our server was prompt, polite and friendly and couldn’t be faulted. Our disappointment was finding that the menu had changed a lot and was disappointed by the fact we had just eaten our starters and some of the party were still eating theirs and our mains came out with another food runner. The food was okay, but as a vegetarian the choices are limited in that unless you like hallumoi and plant based products you don’t have much choice. This obviously isnt the fault of the pub, but more the brewery which has overhauled all their menus and for the worse in my opinion. It had been our favourite family go too but with the changes unlikely to revisit. This said the staff are amazing and work really hard and need a massive pat on the back for all the hard work they do. Thanks Chris for being a great server.

Met up with a couple of friends at The Elms Coventry for lunch. Was greeted immediately by Becky one of the staff members who showed us to our table and then continued to see to our needs throughout our lunch. She was friendly, informative and helpful but most of all she understood we were three woman getting together for a nice meal and good old chatter. She gave us the time to catch up without pushing for our food order but equally didn’t keep us waiting. A great experience with friendly staff member. I was using a birthday voucher and Becky wished me a “happy birthday “ which was very sweet of her. Food was great and the three of us went home full and happy. The breakfast was affordable and filling. Our waiter Luke was very polite and patient with our big party! The breakfast is no longer a buffet continental style, which i would have preferred.

Disappointing. Was in the bar area and not told we had to order at the bar not waited on. Cold plates. Peas hard. Chips so salty were inedible. Told the staff but they were not interested. Won’t be going again very soon.

We are regular visitors to The Elms but the food and service was particularly great this time. Chris, our waiter didn’t rush us at all and that was perfect for us. He was also extremely helpful and courteous . Food was very fresh, plentiful and tasted lovely . We’ll be there again soon

We went to celebrate our granddaughters last day at school.relaxed environment, we were shown to our seats, we ordered drinks and food. Our server was a young man named LUKE, he was very friendly and helpful service with a smile. He is a credit to,the Elms.

Fabulous experience from beginning to end with friendly, knowledgeable, helpful staff, good food, great wine, and phenomenal surroundings.

Firstly let me say I like the Elms and go on a regular basis. I am only rating yesterdays experience (28th June 2024). Yesterday I booked a table for 4, for 19.00hrs, to meet up with girlfriends. We ordered our meal and my friends and I ordered fish and chips which came around 20.00. It was disappointing. The 'fish' was cooked to extinction. All we had was a very crispy batter shell on our plates. We ate it. We did not complain and paid a tip. Why? We did not want to make a scene and ruin the night for our friends. It was a shame. Kind of dampened a nice experience. Expected better.

Wow!! We have just been here as a family for Father’s Day the food was lovely . The service was beyond excellent . We had a gentleman called David serve us and nothing was too much trouble . He gave us such good service and would say it’s the best service I have ever received anywhere. Thank you David for making our day special .

After travelling with a disabled person to visit fir evening meal arrived at 7.55pm As a family of 4 we waited at the empty bar for around 10 mins We were joined by about another dozen people all waiting to order food Then what seemed to be an angry manager with an awful attitude I asked are you serving food she replied in arrogant Manor No the chef has just left and nobody around here has food this late All dozen or so folk looked at each other and left we found an alternative stone baked pizza house The tollgate who were glad to accept the custom and we had an enjoyable meal spending in excess of £100 so going on that the other 12 customers would probably have spent similar The Elms Harvester Lost in excess of £400 custom through the managers attitude and the website states serving food till 9pm. I will never venture into one of those Harvesters again and I'm pretty sure the other customers that were turned away won't either.

Amazing service, really good food and a great atmosphere. The salad bar is always a favourite with the family and there was 20 of us. The service was quick and all meals came out together piping hot. Luke who looked after us did a great job, very polite, knowledgeable and accommodating. We will definitely be back soon.

Came in for Mother’s Day and the food was absolutely amazing and so was the service from Dave. Couldn’t have asked for a better night. Thank you all so much

Visited The Elms for breakfast with my wife, my two daughters and my 17 month old twin grandchildren. The food was great and we were served by Millie who was very welcoming and couldn't have been more helpful. Will definitely go again.

Amazing food and even better service. If I owned a restaurant, then I would hire Niamh. Her service was 10/10, was very accommodating and was interacting with my toddler who seemed to think she made a friend! Thanks Niamh!

Went with 3 other members of my family one used a walking stick . I was pleased to see they catered for this so there were no stairs to climb . The meal was lovely as always and the service excellent . The only slight negative was it was cold in there , however we still had a lovely time . Excellent food and drinks and very welcoming atmosphere. The service is always very good and the menu has a good range of dishes and is very good value for money. If you enjoy salads, the salad bar is always fresh and has a good range of foods. We enjoy the dessert menu too.

In what is now almost a tradition for us, we once again visited The Elms for Christmas Day lunch. We have come to expect a warm and welcoming environment, and we were not disappointed. We were quickly shown to our table and our sever Chelsie could not do enough for us. She took the time to ensure that a less able bodied member of our party was comfortable, and kept checking back with us that everything was OK, even offering to refill our drinks for us several times during the meal (we could easily have done this ourselves at the drinks machine). It really felt like she cared, and that she wanted us to have a good day, and with her help and encouragement we did. It’s a testament to everyone there that even though the place was busy the food was hot, well cooked, good quality and plentiful, and the overall service was very good and well paced (we never felt rushed, and neither did we sit wondering when the next course might arrive). The availability of the salad bar is always a welcome benefit. Overall a lovely visit, great service from Chelsie and the rest of the team, and another successful Christmas lunch at the Elms …. Thank you all. We will be back. :)

Just home from Christmas Dinner. The food was great. There were 18 of us, but the food all came out at the same time with plenty of time to chat between each course. They prepared a bespoke Gluten free meal which was great. Chris served us and did a fantastic job. Really polite, very helpful and attentive. Thank you!

Chris was our server and he was great. Looked after our party of 6 celebrating a family birthday very well. Food was good, only moan was the ice cream machine being broken which meant no sundaes for pudding.

We were a group of 22 friends having an evening meal. Our waiter was Luke and he did an excellent job. He was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious too.

Have eaten here because of the salad cart for years, but since they have stopped this I have gone elsewhere. Decided to try their breakfast, only have breakfast out maybe a handful of times a year, as a £9.99 deal I go to Beefeater. The Elms is no match to Beefeater at the same price, more choice, better service and better prepared food, I don’t understand why waiters bring out food clearly not ready, under/ overcooked, toast should not be white, it should be toasted, half hearted attempt at giving you what you pay for. Shame, but doesn’t get the rating for a simple breakfast.

Popped in for a cheap quick bite at about midday on a Tuesday afternoon.The restaurant is absolutely huge with different levels. Me and partner were shown to a table down at the furthest end of the restaurant where they store high chairs when it was pretty much empty.A elderly couple were in this area who made the comment ‘we’re glad to see you as we started to feel lonely’.I asked to be moved and we were.The food standard was at normal Harvester standards so no complaints there as they’re consistently mediocre. The member of staff we were being served by just seemed lazy, she never come back to to the table to take us to the salad bar as you can’t help yourself due to covid restrictions and we have been to other harvester where the waiting staff take you to the salad bar themselves.To literally put the icing on the cake, the dessert hit table and before we even tucked in the waitress placed the bill on the table without even asking.

Went here on the recommendation of the Coventry Hill hotel which don’t offer food services unless precookedHaving done about 5 miles to find it in the dark at 8pmOne of the bonus’s of a harvester is the salad bar, it looked as it had been there since lunch time 6 salad trays empty no beetroot, pineapple, onion only one pepper red brown was actually whir and stale,I thought about it I ordered my default gammon eggs pineapple chips and peas the Gammon and peas were inedible the gammon was terrible fatty tough gristly and under cooked peas not cooked and barely warm positive Egg and pineapple ok

We celebrated my daughters graduation with an evening meal here which was excellent from start to finish. We were given a lovely table and served by Harry who was very funny and very attentive and made sure we had all we needed. We all ordered from the evening set menu which was a good price and all the food was cooked to perfection. No complaints at all. Great food and great service. Thankyou

First visit for us and we found the staff very welcoming and friendly. Food was tasty, well cooked and presented. Prior to our visit (and due to dietary needs for portion size) I phoned and asked if an adult could choose from the children's menu. This was no trouble at all and I was even given a contact name incase there was a query. Would definitely use The Elms again.

After a horrendous five hour journey we received a fantastic welcome from our waitress Millie. Nothing was too much trouble. Food great and good value. Needless to say we returned for breakfast the next day!
