Such a great and friendly pub, always meet people here, the staff are lovely, as is the manager Aga.

Very friendly local London pub, with a good selection of beer and traditional pub grub. Staff were really nice and you feel you are welcome. An added bonus was the music on the speaker. The Smiths, The Stone Roses, The Jam et al. Looking forward to returning to The Eight Bells soon.

With Fulham vs. Manchester United and all the Manchester United fans gathered here...wow! What an incredible experience! The energy and atmosphere were absolutely electric. It definitely wasn’t your typical day of the week. I highly recommend it to any football fan!

Precioso pub a tiro de piedra del Premier Inn para el parkrun del Palacio de Fulham. Acogedor, sensación local con un gran ambiente, buena comida del pub, cerveza de barril decente. Pasamos por uno (es parkrun mañana) pero la música es tan buena que llevamos tres horas aquí y contando. Es raro que pueda escuchar tanta música de los 90, incluyendo singles del segundo álbum de Blur (cuando eran buenos) fuera de mi propia sala de estar, una lista de reproducción como esta tiene que ser apreciada. Dicho esto, el resto del pub parece ajeno a la música, por lo que si el indie de los 90 no es lo tuyo, aún puedes disfrutar del ambiente.

Nick el gerente es absolutamente encantador. La multitud está mezclada con gente que viene a casa del trabajo, que se detiene con equipos deportivos locales, locales a los que no les gusta navegar precios exorbitantes por una pinta, solo quieren una buena cerveza. La música Nicks siempre es perfecta, yo Shazam allí más que en cualquier lugar. Es conversador y acogedor. Hemos conocido gente muy interesante de los años. No espere algún pub de lujo, esto es “amado en”. En realidad me gusta la alfombra en los pubs, que siento que es raro en estos días. Me recuerda a los 90 cuando me mudé aquí. Nunca he comido allí, solo tragos pero como dije, amable y cómodo, siempre. Gran ubicación.

As a Czech guy I can only say that their selection of Czech beers sucks. Do not drink Budvar, especially non alcoholic version (who the hell drinks that? We dont, so that's maybe the reason why it is here. I hope they got paid for serving this gray water). Otherwise, very fine place.

Perfect pub with a perfect crew. Both bartenders were really kind and helpful. We ate a typic pub meal which was fantastic. Of course with a good pint of beer. Authentic interior and friendly vibe.

Why don't you have plain half pint glasses for halves of cask ale?? I don't want a tall thin half pint glass or a branded glass. Basic stuff. Your pint glasses are probably branded too. Plenty of Madri glasses. Beer selection is ok but could be better. The whole pub could easily be better. I like that it has character but it could be cleaned up a bit, the furniture is rough but the old features are great. Also, why is it so brightly lit? Dozens of lightbulbs burning. Have you not got a dimmer switch?? I've passed this many times over the years and not gone in. Gave it my first go tonight. My instincts were right. Worth a visit for the decor though and there are some drinkable beers on. I had a st peters pale which was pretty good.

Open at ridiculously good early hours ( 10 am ) and with some decent beers this place is a comfy, chatty watering hole on the north side of Putney Bridge next door to the marvellous Hurlingham bookshop. Decent price for its guest London Beers ( £5 ) which they let you sample free. I'd go again!

This is the best pub in London and I've been to several but not all of them. Employees are very attentive and friendly and do their work with passion. Please come here and see for yourself. The prices are relatively cheap. Beer is 2 pounds cheaper than average and the subway stadium isn't far away either. Kind regards and see you next time.

So happy I found this gem of a pub! The staff are beyond nice & welcoming and the food is top notch. Fish finger sandwich lunch deal is 5 star, we just had a roast beef dinner Sunday lunch and it was the best I’ve had In fulham in Fact I’d say top 5 in London! We live in the neighbourhood so this is definitely our new regular local Thank you Eight Bells staff for being super! Lottie, Conrad & our dog scout

Fantastic, outstanding service, in a purely British place, with a lot of charm. We were able to have a bite to eat, try great beers and be served with real kindness. It also enjoys the true beauty of an old and well-maintained English pub. We will repeat for sure.

Comida muy decepcionante. Habíamos estado aquí hace unos años y fue encantador, pero no recomendamos esta vez. El risotto era tan salado que no era comestible. Los canelones se quemaron en la parte superior y simplemente no a un buen nivel. El filete, supuestamente medio raro, estaba bien hecho. Bangers y puré, absolutamente mediocre. Sin chile en la hamburguesa de chile. Al personal no le importaba ni quería estar allí. No se ofrece compensación por el risotto no comestible. Mesa sucia. No saludo. Extremadamente decepcionante, no volveremos.

A very nice pub to come across as we were walking around the area. Nice outdoor seating in the front as you approach, conveniently kept cool under the large trees. Walk inside to an island bar in the centre of the pub. The barman was friendly, as were the locals we chatted to. Due to the heat (have we finally entered summer?) I had a London Cider W9 which was very refreshing and my friend said the Sambrook's Wandle was a bit cooler than expected but much appreciated in this heat. And a quick FYI: they even had their own Eight Bells Lager - although neither of us tried it. We didn't eat, but one customer was finishing what looked like a damn good brekkie.

Great pub, decent selection of beers (craft, cask and keg) was amused by some of the reviews complaining for silly reasons like about not having fosters. come on people! Have a word with yourself its not 2003 anymore lol. Recommended for sure

Hopeless clueless Polish manager doesn't know when her pints of real ale have gone rank and sour as vinegar. Second time in the last two visits...and the woman poured a glass of fresh vinegar and told me it was fine. Why are useless people like this running what should be a great pub. Go back to what you know how to do, whatever that is. Camra need to get round and train these people.

Food is good but the cellarman not doing their job as real ales are served even when they have gone off.

Muy concurrido debido al clima y los partidos de fútbol. La comida era buena, pero las patatas fritas eran inaceptables. Muy duro y demasiado cocido

Avoid. Used to be a great pub for away fans but not anymore. Foreign chap on the door who runs it is very rude and aggressive towards everyone. Wouldn’t let a couple of my pals in who were meeting us in here as his words were “they’re not good lads”. Beer overpriced and served in plastic cup. Go to the Temperance just down the road much better pub.

Despite where this is it is like a local pub. Relatively small but lovely atmosphere. I'd recommend you give it a go

Visited before football on Saturday. No food. Expensive drinks. Doorman said if u want food go to a restraunt.

Very disappointed that no lunch was served on match day. No mention of this on Facebook or websites. We should have gone elsewhere. Also, do not drink the stout on tap, it’s awful, stick to Guinness.

Went in there at 12 before a game at Craven cottage expecting food. We were told that they did not serve food on match days and wouldn’t let us take food in. This resulted in me getting worse for wear and being asked to leave later on. Make sure you eat before you go if it’s a match day.

Great classic local pub. The inside feels like a sailor’s pub on the docks, with plenty of wood and nautical themed decor. There’s a Canadian themed meal deal for poutine, a butter tart and a pint of Sleeman’s for £12, too.

went there for lunch with a friend and the fish and chips were sensational and my friend had the chicken goujions which were stunning. Great time and great priced drinks will come again x

my food came out late and now I’m having puddiny and my banana is moldy and the ice cream is boiling hot and my cookie dough brownie was freezing and then my ice cream was boiling hot.

Traditional pub, good athmostphere

Cannot comment on food as we didn't eat there, but this is a proper old time pub where you can go and have a drink and relax we are working in the area and stopped for a couple of pints on are way back to hotel, very friendly pub good safe environment for anyone. Staff very friendly and helpful too.

A classic pub atmosphere. Carpet floors, carpet seats, and a very friendly environment. My wife and I loved it here! The food was good, but nothing special. The Scottish bartender was extremely friendly and helpful

Stopped for beers on our long distance tour along the Thames Path (we had only started an hour previously but one of our group is a Fulham Fan and took all 10 of us into his Footie Day Pub when it was empty to enjoy!! Wow what a treat!! Fabulous Fullers London Pride Real Ale. We have drunk this beer all over even at the Brewery Gate but THIS TAP WAS SENSATIONAL!! Really fabulous. Fresh, sweet, cool and Perfect. The Landlady prides herself keeping a beautiful cellar, clean lines, fresh barrels and served with a wonderful smile. We loved it. £4.90 a pint was our pick of the days outing. The chef cooks in the pub with the kitchen on view and the menu is amazingly continental. We should return Thank you for your hospitality and service

Called in before the Newcastle game at Fulham. Lad in charge was very surly and unwelcoming. Ordered drinks and they arrived in glasses, before even taking a sip they were transferred to plastic glasses. Sat down at a table, after 10 minutes told to lift our plastic glasses. The table was then removed without any consultation! When I asked what was happening, I was told that it would be standing room only from then on, sure enough went to the toilet and on return seat was also gone. Will not return

A perfect away day bar had a few drinks and a sing along with many other Newcastle fans certainly enjoyed ourselves free crisps on offer too from the best bar staff ever

Great traditional pub, food looked and smelt lovely. Had some great ales on offer. Really enjoyed my stay here and will definitely be returning.

What a cracking little pub. We stopped here after trying to avoid the usual Thai food and fullers pubs. So glad to have stumbled across it! The food was really good, pub classics. Had the bangers and mash, and also fish and chips. Chips were great! Reasonably priced, a great find.

We have been coming here when visiting London for many years and always go to the 8 bells. Sadly it is not what it was. Normally it used to be heaving , thid time it was empty..I wondered why. The mebu was sparse, boring and overly pricef. £12 for s pub burger s not on. My beer Fosters hsd disappeatef and replaced with a host of unknown beers. Much friendlier when the ausdies and kiwis used to manage it. Not sure whether we will return.

The very friendly barman helped my wife and I in with our pram. It felt like a traditional London pub. It was a quiet but lovely atmosphere and all the locals were very friendly. My son had some chips and they were delicious. Will be back!

First visit last night with friends before Chelsea match Guinness was spot on sausage and mash was ok staff friendly and helpful best to book table on match days can't wait to visit again.

Typical old style pub, obv frequented by locals & passing trade, as close to tube station. Nice atmosphere, has outside seating , satisfying pub food, quick service .. can't comment on toilets etc as did not use.

A decent pub near to Putney Bridge Underground station. It has a traditional interior and some outside space at the front, which is nice in the summer. The beer selection is fairly decent too and prices reasonable. The barman was a bit grumpy though and wasn’t too welcoming, hence the minus one star. Didn’t have the food, but the roasts looked good being a Sunday and they were reasonably priced at between £13-15 ish. Worth a visit if in the area.
