The Captain Cook in Hammersmith and Fulham

Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for our first time in London! Bedrooms were very clean, shared the restroom services with the other Second floor rooms (1 shower, 1 sink, 1 toilet) but each is in its own room so very easy ro accomodate multiple bedrooms. One thing I thought so unusual and not expected, VERY quiet part of town. Work up early and could hear nothing but bird song until the buses started coming through. Restaurant and bar were fantastic, and the Staff were fabulous. Definitely planning on coming back! Huge shout-out to Tina and Sylvia, you ladies are amazing and made us feel so welcome! The cat-lover rule stands true!! ❤️

We came here for a Sunday roast after a local pub we originally booked in for ran out of food by 3pm, so we came here after being suggested to by a friend and were excited to hear they had all roasts available! Lovely waitress sat us down and gave us menus. We ordered 1 lamb and 1 beef, plus a couple of starters. Starters came and were nice enough. Roasts came and unfortunately inedible - the Yorkshire pudding was grey, dry and solid, instead of cutting through It it snapped and basically turned to dust. The meat was overcooked and rubbery. Green veg was overcooked, mushy and brown. The potatoes were okay. I had a few bites and didn't eat anymore. A few drinks, 2x roasts and 2x starters came to over £100. Instant regret paying for the roasts. Won't be back to eat that's for sure. Lovely bar staff however so maybe for a drink!

This is our local pub and my husband and I go about once a week with our two small children. It’s very family-friendly and the Spanish tapas selection is superb (our favourite is the manchego arancini). All the staff are so kind - I would highly recommend. We have also had friends stay in one of the hotel rooms and they were very happy with the experience.

What an incredible Spanish Pub in fulham. Great Spanish tapas and wines, do not miss it. Fantastic cozy decoration, and very friendly staff and a charming and lovely owner. We discovered it while a Christmas party, and could not stop visiting. Very special place for celebrating events, with a very warm hotel as well. Thanks for the moments ♥️

The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The pub is cozy and has great food. The shared restroom is divided into three rooms, one for the shower, one for the toilet and one for the hand wash. Three separate doors. I would stay there again.

I’m in love with this place, excellent restaurant and very good service. The anchovies and the black pudding with egg and jerkins🤤 and Pimiento with goat cheese and walnuts are my favourites dishes (INCREDIBLE). Thanks guys for this memorable day.

Fui a investigar un baby shower para mi prometido. Dejé una consulta abierta que me dio toda la información por teléfono la semana pasada. Las mujeres no tenían ni idea de lo que estaba hablando (ella dijo que era la propietaria e italiana) que luego me mintió y dijo que fulham y chelsea estaba jugando el mismo día en que un titular de entradas de temporada de Fulham sabe que los aficionados al deporte fulham o chelsea usan este pub NUNCA EN UN PARTIDO - DÍA ESTÁ VACÍO que instantáneamente me dio un presupuesto de £ 2000 millones de gasto, pero quería la mitad por adelantado ... . Y la otra mitad antes de que empezara el baby shower 😂😂😂. Mi gasto siempre se resuelve después de que un evento ha tenido lugar. Un depósito se toma generalmente y luego al final del evento la casa de apuestas u organizador limpia el resto antes de la salida de la venu ! Ella fue grosera y me dijo que aquí no es donde bebemos bebida y nos emborrachamos (no he bebido yo mismo durante 3 años ahora personalmente creo que esta mujer me ha juzgado porque llevaba un chándal que llevo un negocio exitoso y solo vivo a 5 minutos, así que ponte algo cómodo... . Siempre me enseñaron que nunca juzgue un libro por su portada. No voy a llevar mi negocio aquí. Al salir, ella hizo una broma privada sobre mí como si nunca la hubiera arreado. Estoy seguro de que se había terminado si parecía que tenía el dinero o algo que la arreaba a ella y al cliente que tenía a su bebé en una silla de paseo (que cortésmente había saludado cuando entró) si tenían algo que decir como lo hacen las personas en la vida. Claramente ninguno de los dos tuvo las agallas de decir lo que dijeron a mi cara o delante de mí. Gente extremadamente grosera y juiciosa. Nunca juzgues un libro por su portada. Porque nunca se sabe lo que es uno la siguiente página.

I arrived during check in hours with my wife and baby late in the evening. When we arrived everything was dark and there was no way to access anyone to help on site. The people at the pub across the street told us we needed an access code, but we had never received one and were stranded in London at 10PM. Had to walk 15 mins to the nearest open hotel and get a room for the night. This hotel then refused to reimburse us for these issues.

Everything was fine, great room for two people. Absolutely delicious food, vegetarian and non-vegetarian 😋Price performance, food and accommodation very good for London standards. Highly recommended, gladly again.

Ich habe zwei Nächte in einem der Zimmer der zugehörigen Boutiquehotels verbracht und war an beiden Abenden zum Abendessen im Pub - weil das Essen einfach klasse war. Es wird natürlich Pub-Food angeboten [Buger, Fish&Chips, etc.], aber auch ganz hervorragende spanische Tapas, die ich an beiden Abenden genossen habe. Ich kenne sehr gute Tapas aus allen möglichen Gegenden in Spanien und das "The Captain Cook" muss sich nicht verstecken! Mein Favorit waren die Albondigas, aber alles, was ich probiert habe, war klasse. Dazu saß ich wegen des super Wetters im kleinen Innenhof zum Essen und das hatte richtig Flair. Es ist immer klasse, wenn man sich auch alleine beim Essen wohlfühlen kann und das klappte hier sehr gut - unter anderem auch wegen der wirklich freundlichen und offenen Bedienungen. Ich hoffe, ich schaffe es nochmal hierher!

Absolutely fantastic food. I opted for the lamb roast which was SUBLIME. The manageress was very friendly and welcoming. Beautiful little courtyard out back also which was a real treat to be in. Would highly recommend

Nuestra habitación estaba limpia y cómoda, pero el baño era compartido y al otro lado del pasillo, si eso te molesta. La decoración en la habitación era funky. Recomendamos alojarse aquí.

Best Sunday Roast in the UK, no question. The tapas selection is mouth watering. Can't believe you got this menu on a off track pub. Highly recommended. Wine list is well priced, too. Oh and check out the patio.

Was a really nice hotel with a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, the guy who checked us in had us waiting for 20 mins and we both got bed bugs.

Exceeded expectations! Very clean, comfortable, and spacious. Great location as well as the bus stop is close by and the best way to get to see the London sights :) First time in London for vacation and it was a great fit for our stay of 4 nights which is perfect amount of time.

So lucky to have places like this in London. I've been a few times and loved it. Great food (SPANISH FOOD & WINES :)) very friendly staff, really clean and beautiful decoration. Had the Spanish tapas menu item. Tomatoes on toast in English. The tomatoes had no seasoning and were just mashed. They were so cold and so unappetising it sent a chill down me. The only ice thing on the plate was the tosted bread

This pub sells a nice paella on weekends. They also have live music on a few week days (check their events). I also like their beer garden.

One of our favourite pubs in the area. Great selection of drinks and a lovely atmosphere. The food is also superb, particularly the tapas!

Took my mother for mother day 2024. We had the tapas selection and was really tasty. Service was nice and polite. Good came in good time. I would highly recommend this establishment for a local tapas and none that commercial stuff. This is very authentic.

This is a great pub (I didn't realise it's also a hotel). Really nice inside and good service. They also have Heineken Zero on tap, which is great if you are driving.

I love this place. I choose it over other hotels because of the lively atmosphere, any day of the week. It’s perfect for short business trips. Food is pretty good, mostly spanish tapas and some GB classics, but done nicely. The staff is helpful, attentive and fun. The quality of the food was a notch above the usual gastropub, with an original menu inspired by Spanish cuisine, fair prices, and the warm, relaxing atmosphere of a local pub - the loudest group was definitely ours with our four children! Highly recommended.

Only eaten there but everytime exceptionally friendly accomodating been there 10 times. One time booked for 4 people we turned up as 6 and nothing is a problem. Food always good whether it's tappas or Sunday lunch.

During our stay in room 6, we encountered a bad smell upon arrival, which I would describe as resembling wet dog. Unfortunately, this odor persisted throughout our stay. However, the host was welcoming and kind. The room itself was warm and equipped with a radiator that we could control. The bed was comfortable, and the linen was clean. The TV was conveniently positioned on the wall at the end of the bed. One minor issue was that the toilet brush had no handle. Despite the smell, the overall experience was quite convenient. Parking was easy and available on Varna Road, where you could pay using the RingGo app. The parking duration was limited to a maximum of 8 hours, allowing for an all-day stay. Additionally, it was an easy 20-minute walk to the Hammersmith Apollo. In the past, we had visited this place for a Sunday roast, which was really good!

Excellent sized clean rooms. Lovely big and clean bed, which was very comfortable. WiFi available within room. Shared toilet and shower lovely and clean. Stay twice within a week of each other with 1 of my daughters each trip. Close to bus routes, tesco few minutes up the road.....had a lovely comfortable stay would highly recommend

This pub is a great find. Superb atmosphere, great food and fantastic staff. Tapas is off the chart.

Stayed for one night to go to a show at Hammersmith. We had a nice well presented room at the top of the building, check-in was easy at the bar and then the manager took us to the room explaining everything we needed. Staff very friendly and helpful. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Toiletries included in the shower. Room was clean, good size with an en suite loo and shower. I was concerned it would be noisy from the street but had a great nights sleep, bed was very comfy. There is not much clothes hanging space, it didn’t effect us but if you were staying for longer it may. We had a meal and some drinks in the pub downstairs. The tapas was amazing as good as I’ve had in Spain, delicious! Nice range of beers on tap, large range of wines and gins. Parking was on the street, pay on phone or app but free after 5pm and all day Sunday. 10 min in cab to Hammersmith and we walked back in 25 mins at the end off the night, also on bus routes. Will stay again when visiting the area as opposed to chain hotels.

We were here for lunch and drinks. It was not a good experience. It wasn't just one thing, but several things combined to make it the last time to go to this pub. The service staff is inattentive. Every single time we had to flag them down to wait on the table. Totally disorganised, it looked like they were either understaffed or under-trained or both. It was like watching a car crash over and over again. It was already mid-afternoon and we were hungry or else would have simply left and gone elsewhere. When the food arrived finally, the potatoes were cold and stale. We let the staff know and they made a fuss about changing them arguing they were fresh. One friend asked for salad instead of fries and they said "no substitutions" but we can bring you a side salad at extra cost. So they couldn't just put a small portion of that same side salad onto the main plate instead of the fries? All that was needed were a few lettuce leaves and a chopped-up tomato, however, this seemed to overwhelm the server who decided it simply could not be done because their rules said not to do it. Reminded me of the Soup..... from an old Seinfeld episode. You had to "exactly follow his rules" while ordering or there was "No soup for you". The asparagus they served up was limp and soggy, and wilted from overcooking. The roast beef portion is small so are the burgers but we were hungry so didn't bother to ask knowing how reluctant they were to make the customers happy. Their cash machine was "broken" (they had only 1 ?) so every one of us had to get up and go to the bar separately to pay - what a joke! They would not let our two other friends who had walked in join us at the table and made them sit separately because according to the management, it was not how they do things. Giving Seinfeld vibes again. Poor and unfriendly service, undertrained millennials running the place. Not once did they apologise for anything. The staff and management make customers feel They are Doing Us a favour by letting us eat there. Trust me, this is the kindest review I could write about this place. Our experience was terrible. We are spoilt for choice in London. Lots of great places to go to and will definitely never be returning to this place.

I work for a Spanish food and wine company and The lady I usually deliver to is absolutely beautiful her boss is very friendly and have never had a problem there sometimes it is busy but the atmosphere is great definitely check it out 👍🏾

There are more positives than negatives, nice large room with en suite and very large comfortable bed , close to road but not too noisy. Decor in places is tired and a real niggle for me was out of date milk sachets! Service was excellent, the Manager/Owner was very helpful and the bar/restaurant was great. Better location if you want West London so easy for River and Wimbledon rather than central London. If we had to be around Fulham again would certainly return😀

Stayed for a weekend to see Micky Flanagan and Shirley Valentine. Located further west than we normally would but transport links great. Glad we did as have paid similar / Higher prices for some real dives in London. This was a great value apartment and the pub downstairs was very inviting and did great food also. Would loved to have tried more of the Tapas menu but had events pre booked. Will defiantly stay again

Excellent Pub lovely warm welcome when we arrived. The menu was excellent Tapas on one side and traditional on the other and Pealla on a seperate menu. The food was very well cooked and i enjoyed a small Tapas while the other two i was with had a Pealla. Everyone enjoyed there food. Service was excellent. We will deffinitley come back again

We are regulars at the Captain Cook, and for good reason. It’s the best pub in the area, with incredibly friendly and helpful staff who are so welcoming of our two-year-old daughter, and delicious tapas and Sunday roasts. Perfect for all occasions, from lazy weekend lunches to evening drinks.

The best roast I have had in London, and I’ve been to a lot! The lamb was amazing! It was lovely to have the veg firm and not soft and sloppy. The gravy tasted amazing. First time here and already booking for next Sunday. The pub itself is beautiful. Full of little lights and lovely decor. Has a really nice feel to it.

Amazing food with super incredible personal service don’t often come in the same sentence in London but they do here! Made to feel like a regular in what must be the best tapas restaurant in London! Still dreaming of the mussels and ham croquettas, I cannot wait to be back!

Iv gone to many different restaurants and have eaten many different foods but none compare to the food Iv eaten here time and time again the food never disappoints. The staff are wonderful and so polite unlike other restaurants it feels like they actually care. I take my family and friends here and they also love it. I wrote this review right after eating this burger and I can say for 100% certainty this is the best burger I have ever had and I can sadly say that about the chicken and veggie burger as well not only is the flavour like a slice of euphoria with every bite but the texture is just the right anoint of tough and moist. If you’re anywhere near the facility of this restaurant I’d highly suggest you try it.

While roaming around the area in search of a pub we came across this hidden gem. Other than a beautifully decorated and cosy interior,the pub features an amazing hidden garden. We had lovely time enjoying the lovely spring weather and we will definitely be back! Ps the garden is also brilliantly sheltered from the wind,couldn't have been better.

Suzie and her team helped me arrange a surprise birthday party at The Captain Cook, and it couldn't had gone better! The team there are all so friendly and all go out there way to help you. The Tapas they serve is delicious, and so reasonably priced. Above all, the atmosphere is great and you can always be guaranteed to have a great night. Thanks Suzie, you are the best!!!

the food is to DIE for and i do not use that term lightly. I would not be surprised if the cook was a Michelin star chef. the staff are wonderful and the the most polite and hard working staff I have ever come across

Sono circa dieci anni che quando vengo a Londra in visita a mia figlia uso dormire in una delle loro stanze. Sono tornata questo anno usufruendo di un credito per la prenotazione del Natale scorso quando era in corso la pandemia. Nessun problema con British Airlines ma molti con la nuova gestione del pub. Dopo la nuova prenotazione avanzavo ancora un credito di 54 pounds che avrei desiderato mi fosse sottratto dalla prenotazione di una notte aggiuntiva che invece mi è stata fatta pagare per intero 91 pounds ed inoltre maggiorata di 20 pounds nonostante sul sito ufficiale piuttosto che su booking la categoria della mia stanza fosse quotata 71 La Owner tale Sue si è rifiutata di parlare con me demandando mi alla Manager che parla un italiano molto povero. La sorpresa è stata che la Owner ha deciso di rimborsarmi la notte aggiuntiva dicendosi offesa dal mio comportamento e mettendomi in mezzo ad una strada l'antivigilia di Natale. Insomma chi viene qui non ha certezze. Il Covid non è e non deve diventare un mezzo per spillare quattrini. Specifico che nel pub non sono rispettate le norme di sicurezza e nessuno indossa la mascherina nonostante la variante Omicron dilaghi in UK. La Owner afferma che loro non indossano la mascherina poiché gli da fastidio . Un posto da dimenticare e direi da evitare.

Roast dinner is delicious! This is the second time we have been (first was with our two young children, this time just us) and again the roast dinner was brilliant. Great portion size and everything cooked beautifully and so tasty. The staff are warm and welcoming and friendly. It has a really nice feel about the place and different seating areas while still feeling open but comfortable. Our go to spot for a roast now! And can’t wait to try the tapas and bring al the family down!

Quite possibly the worst room I’ve ever stayed in - the photographs are not representative of the experience which is dated, dirty and dilapidated and came with the additional ‘extra’ of a cockroach in my glass by the bedside the next morning. The one star is for the staff as they were lovely and tried their best - the pub was ok, average food with a strong smell of grease but very lively. Overall a horrible experience.

Personalmente, no volvería nunca más al Capitán Cook. Vine aquí la semana pasada Muy pobre y extremadamente decepcionado. . Este lugar no tiene un buen servicio al cliente y la comida no es tan buena. La comida que pedimos tardó casi 2 horas en llegar a mi amigo y a mí y cuando llegó, nuestros pedidos estaban completamente equivocados o CRUDOS y tuvieron que ser devueltos, no hubo una explicación real de por qué nuestra comida tomó tanto tiempo o por qué estaba poco cocido. . Ni siquiera estuvo ocupado durante un día laborable.Hablamos con el gerente, pero ignoró completamente nuestra queja y fue extremadamente grosero. Esta no es la forma en que trata a sus clientes que pagan, ¡NO volveré!

Esperé tanto tiempo por nuestros platos principales, olvidé un entrante, una hamburguesa rosa cuando se la pedía bien hecha, no despejó las mesas después de que terminamos. Todos habíamos pedido a la misma hora, pero no todas las comidas llegaron a la misma hora. Me quejé esa noche y pregunté por el gerente, pero el personal dijo que el gerente se había ido a casa y que me llamaría al día siguiente. Luego esperé la llamada telefónica del día siguiente y nada. Luego llamé para que me dijeran que era su día libre. Todavía no hay llamada telefónica al día siguiente. Luego llamé, hablé con el gerente, le expliqué mi queja y su tono y actitud fueron muy defensivos. Me acusó de mentir sobre el servicio, dijo que entrena muy bien a su personal, que en general se pone muy a la defensiva y me llama mentiroso en cada queja que tenía. Sin disculpas, hablando sobre mí. ¡En negación básicamente y muy grosera! Dijo por teléfono que cree en su personal más que en sus clientes. También dijo que mi familia y yo fuimos extremadamente groseros toda la noche, esto no es cierto en absoluto. Todo lo que hice fue preguntar por el gerente, no fui descortés en lo más mínimo y nunca lo sería. Teniendo en cuenta el mal servicio que tuvimos, fuimos muy amables con ellos, no somos personas groseras y nunca seríamos groseros con el personal de un restaurante. El personal incluso estuvo de acuerdo con nosotros en que había sido una larga espera. No puedo creerlo todo para ser honesto. ¡Es una broma! ¡No volveremos nunca más! Y a cualquiera que lea esto, le aconsejo que no se vaya, ya que quedará decepcionado y, cuando se queje, ¡ni siquiera obtendrá un simple perdón! ¡Impactante!

Mi familia me llevó aquí para mi cumpleaños, algunos de nosotros pedimos entrantes y todos pedimos platos principales, nuestros entrantes salieron bastante rápido y todos fueron realmente agradables, sin embargo, esperamos 1 hora y 20 minutos para que llegaran los platos principales, había 4 hamburguesas y papas fritas, 1 pescado y papas fritas, 1 gambas con papas fritas, una hamburguesa para niños y una ensalada Caeser, así que nada lujoso y ciertamente nada que debería haber tomado tanto tiempo.Aunque era lunes y está ofreciendo comer fuera para ayudar, este lugar no estaba ocupado en absoluto, el personal se excusó de que solo había 1 chef de turno.Mi ensalada se sirvió después de todas las demás, creo que esto es muy pobre y cuando mi hija se comunicó con el gerente para quejarse, básicamente la acusó de mentir, si revisa su cctv verá lo que nos sirvieron y a qué hora llegaron los platos. fuera, también dijo que la razón por la que nuestra mesa no se despejó después de que comimos fue que su personal se sintió intimidado por nosotros, era mi cumpleaños número 56, mi esposo tiene la misma edad, los otros tenían 41, 39, 35, 32, 29 y mi nieto de 4 años.

Out to go to place to watch Rugby - plenty of games to entertain the kids, everybody is nice, those bacon sandwiches for the World Cup were FANTASTIC. Great place to have on our doorstep

Without a shadow of a doubt the best roast lunch I have had in many years. I cannot recommend this place highly enough...

What a treasure chest of a find. The room was spotless, warm, well equipped and modern. Although the en-suite is a little on the tight side, it was as clean and modern as the room. The super kingsize bed was comfortable, and had usb bedside charging points. A 4K 36” tv with really fast free Wi-fi. A large office desk and chair to work at as well as two comfortable armchairs and coffee table. The only downside was the steep 26-step wooden staircase to get to the rooms, so no good if you are disabled. The bar and restaurant is very welcoming and is also dog friendly (in the bar area). The food was absolutely fantastic and very well priced, with both a bar and full menu to choose from. I will certainly be staying again when in the area and would recommend it both as an overnight stay or place to meet friends/family for a drink or meal. Great job all at The Captains Cook, Fulham.

Qué lugar tan increíble para quedarse. Desde el principio lo pasamos bien. Personal amable y atractivo.Nos alojamos y las habitaciones son extraordinarias.Muy buen gusto, comparable a un hotel de 5 estrellas.Las habitaciones son grandes y muy bien equipadas.Sillones, un escritorio. Incluso máquina de café en cápsulas y agua en botellas.Han considerado todo. Incluso tiene USB y cargadores internacionales. Lavandería y Massuese cerca.Cafeterías cercanas y Fulham.Seriamente. ¿Por qué quedarse en otro lugar?

The food is great in this pub with a good sunday roast. Nice small secret terrasse. I highly recommend it.

Pasé la noche en el capitán Cook. Desde el momento en que llegamos, el servicio fue increíble. Otra experiencia molesta aquí y no volveré. We had Sunday roast with friends at Captain Cook. Really enjoyed both the team and the food! Highly recommended if you are in the neighbourhood

Nuestro horario durante una estancia de 3 noches solo nos permitió comer en el bar una vez. My son and I are staying in a room upstairs and ate here on night one. Service was awesome, food was good, and a nice way to end our first day. I would recommend!

Stayed here Sunday as I was working on Monday was greeted at the bar down stairs. All staff was very friendly and nice to talk too. Room was clean and spacious. In a good area of Fulham. Went for a drink Sunday night and they have a good gin selection. Did order a dessert to share like a cookie dough was very nice.

Food is really good, beers are amazing and you can watch sport events on tv. Good service and very nice employers

Loved The Captain Cook. Great food and great vibe. Staff really friendly and well organised. Everything we all ordered was beautifully cooked and very good. Great selection of beers and gins :-) We stayed in the rooms upstairs and ate there both evenings.

Economico nel Fulham, ed al tempo stesso carino, con la comodità del pub proprio “sotto casa”, anche se qua sono ovunque! Camera spaziosa, pulita, servizio di benvenuto, tutto perfetto in 100% British style!

I walked in for the first time a few months ago and have returned most days since! From the amazing bar staff who have turned into friends, hats off to Darren, maddy, Paul and Orlando and to the food. Jess's roast dinner competes with my mums for roast of the year. Great place, great atmosphere

We visited the Captain Cook for their Bottomless Brunch on Sunday. It’s a really good pub. The decor was very older World with huge maps on the walls and boating items dotted around the place very well done. The guy who served us was friendly and explained everything to us. The Brunch was very good you get a pastry and then a choice of either the breakfast menu of various burgers and limitless prosseco for 1 1/2 hours. We had the full English which was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommended the Captain Cook. If you find yourself in the area on a Sunday pop in.

A little bias as it is my local, but wouldn't change it for the world. Always so accommodating and a real hidden gem with their quiet beer garden.

Came here on a recent trip to London, great staff including Madi and Paul. Love how they have 2 big screens to watch football and plenty of beer.

Vinimos para el 2 - 4 - 1 cócteles hora feliz! Tan bueno era servido por Darren quien hizo una gran mojito. Tuve la oportunidad de conocer a algunos de los empleados, paulo y madi Fiona, que eran preciosos y acogedores, la hamburguesa también era genial! Volveremos!

Primero visitamos el pub el día que se trasladó a Londres. Nos trasladamos justo al otro lado de la carretera y estamos desesperados por una buena comida!
