Shocking food! £25 incl delivery for for oxtail and butter bean (one bean and swimming in oil) undercooked plantain and dry child portion of rice!!! How can you serve this and think it’s ok!!

Fabulous 👌 just like home cooked food & great service. Goat Curry is the best! Whilst it's a takeaway you can eat in if you like & the owners are lovely. Thank you🙏. We will definitely be back 😀

Dutch pot is terrible now. You're much better off going to Maureen's. I had curry goat today, which did not have any taste. The steamed vegetables was just lettuce. Rice and peas had no flavour either. Terrible!

I bought a fried chicken, rice and peas and steamed veg dinner, The rice and peas was very bland, hardly any peas in the rice, the rice looked white with no flavor, The fried chicken look good, but the flavor was very minimum, The source tasted like there was way too much ginger in it, I wanted it wrapped up in clingfilm as I was going to eat it later at work the lady beyond the counter told me it’s £25 for a box of clingfilm, I don’t need to know the price, we have a lot to learn about customer service, Considering this is the first time I’ve been to the shop I will not be coming back, jah knows.

Disappointed with my order of oxtail, rice and peas. Also fried chicken and dumplings. Food was tasteless and after a hard weeks work that was no treat!

Good was yummy and service was really nice. Prices were perfect for what I got too. Jerk chicken was very succulent and the gravy was tasty

Not the same like it really used to be might have changed hands or recipes but having said that l would still go back to it as this is the only one lm used to lol

I've bought the same mael on several occasions but this time it was horrible had to throw it away £10 down the drain. I won't be going back. Also the staff are rude

For my African Brothers from Jamaica and anyone who wants to try something different from what they are already used to, here is a great spot for you... Very affordable menu and great service... As a Nigerian I tasted the pea soup for the first time and it was fantastic... Great taste, great portions and the look was amazing too... I'll definitely be back to taste other recipes.

My curry chicken was soaked in cooking oil & had no flavour at all.. I had to put some seasonings of my own just to have taste The fried chicken, one piece looked liked it had gone bad & I didn’t enjoy the sauce it was in.. the only thing I enjoyed about my meal was the plantain & fried dumplings..

I ordered the peppered steak which was delicious but I just didn't get enough for what it cost me and the dumpligx were cold. Very dissatisfied !!!

The staff were great, really friendly and helpful, they gave my daughter a slider to try as I said her mum liked them. The food is always great, really tasty and a great selection.

I come to leeds every 3 months for hospital appointments and I always stop here on my way home for a plate of soul food. Never disappoints. Great portions, proper home cooked soul food, and the staff are nice and polite. Thanks guys 😊 ❤️ 🇯🇲

Decent west Indian food, reasonably quick service. pricing is a little random at times. The porridge options are decent if you're looking for a breakfast. However, the set breakfast (English breakfast) is to be avoided. Wide variety of main meal options. Plenty to choose from (meat and fish). P.s. If you're a vegetarian, you're going to struggle for choices. Eat in or, take out.

Good selection of food, even options for vegan diet. Loved my fried Dumplings even though slightly expensive 😋

Excellent variety of Caribbean food with great service, friendly atmosphere and more than competitive pricing. What's not to like! My last visit I was using the bike so didn't want to be overfull so I had the Chicken Express (with meat gravy) which always hits the spot provided I'm not ravenous as it's quite filling.

Forget rice and peas. Was provided with two steaming hot containers of rice and salt. Ordered peppered steak, rice and peas. Large. Basically was a large box of rice scattered with a few silvers of steak which tasted like it'd been marinating for a decade in the ocean! £20 for two large boxes of food that ended up in the bin, hangry doesn't even begin to describe how I'm feeling right now! Do better. I know you can. Very much doubt I will be returning!

Great food great service and polite

Its not really about customer service here, just the food which is normally on point. It's more catered to takeaways than dining in.

We went in to DutchPot yesterday 25/06/23 at 4pm…. The service was appalling, the lady had terrible attitude as if she was forced to be there, the food tasted off. The rice and peas with oxtail was a massive let down. Money gone to waste because as soon as we got home we threw the food away 🤢…. Never going back again, I’ve said it before but after the treatment and bad food NEVER AGAIN….

Went today. Food was dead give me wokka belly. Salt fish and Ackee.

Food is consistently good, tasty and very generous portion sizes. Good value for money. I regularly travel here from Bradford. Never had any issues with the food or the service, always welcoming and happy to provide me with my preferred choices of chicken (I'm a breast man).

Unfortunately been so sick after eating the food and unable to get hold of owner to report the issue. The number on website says unavailable. It wouldn't let me proceed without putting a star rating so had to put one star in order to write review .

They got 1 star health and safety etc rating by the council, quote it was really filty' , won't be going bk any time soon

Really poor I paid for curry goat and rice and peas and the goat was so so dry like it was cooked a few days ago and heated in a microwave the meat was destroyed so so dry which shouldn’t happen with this dish again. I stopped going because of this kind of thing before and I won’t go again. I’m vex I paid the money for this !!!

My second visit the food is great, the service is improving, so good. Can't get better food in Leeds than the now famous "Dutch Pot" it is goooood.

If you want to go to a restaurant where they make you feel like you're begging for the food you are paying for, go to Dutch Pot! The service of the women is horrible. They look at you annoyed. They ask you multiple times what your order is, they roll their eyes the more you order. The food is Decent but I actually stopped going here for a year because of the service and I only ever takeaway so even in such a short interaction, I'm disgusted by the service here. They have one good and really nice server and her name is Marcia. She is the only server that people know by name for a reason. She needs a raise and all the rest need to be let go and replaced with more people like Marcia. They don't want to be there. I am in the top 10% of all restaurant reviewers on Google in the world. Trust me. The service of the women here is HORRIBLE and puts you off of buying the very decent food that the restaurant offers.

If there was a Dutch Pot in Canada, id be the happiest MTF about it i swear, the food is Legendary and the folks are genuine and awesome

They are on point the service was professional, nice variety of food plus it closes late & the prices are at a good rate. You wont be disappointed. I was quite impressed tbh.

The ladies in the shop(not marica) The Who was working on the 7:30 on the 29/June/2022.. was rude and unprofessional and had to wait after a made a Pre order Amon the fone with my order and to come down and collect she there flirting and chatting with customer while big que pile up while a was waiting an most my order wasn’t even there and the food was cold I was dealt with in a unprofessional manor and think people like that she have some peoples skills and be more Professional and not a lot of passion when deal with customers… not a happy customer and a Will be speaking with Tony the owner when a see him

Tried here for the first time, best thing was the rice and peas, however the gravy had a strange smell to it.

Food is always absolutely delicious from Dutch pot, I travel 18 miles round trip for peppered steak and steamed veg, curried goat, rice & peas for the kids and Saltfish & Ackee for next day! I have been a customer for many years and send my compliments and thanks to the chefs and staff xx

The plantain was not bad, could have used a bit of salt. The curry mutton with rice was not as I expected, the rice was not fresh. The curry mutton tasted like air freshener. They even forgot two items from my order. And replaced it with salad that I didn’t ask for. The beef patty tasted like fish and something you could get from Greggs. I gave it 2 stars because of the plantain and somewhat of their customer service

Love to drop in on a morning for a nice cooked breakfast. Everyone is welcoming, greeting you with a smile. Wonderful atmosphere and always smells of soul warming food ready to be served

I normally go into Dutch pot but today decided to order for delivery. Never again, I will not even go into Dutch pot again after today. They failed to deliver all of my order and I have now been waiting for an hour and 30 mins for the rest of it! Very poor service, will never use again

I love the food! Soft meat and filling

Staff serving us was actually quite miserable which was a senior lady. She did not take into account the fact that some people may not understand Jamaican patois or could have a problem expressing themselves. We were a party of three and one prrson was dyslexic and the other autistic. The food was OK the dumplings were a bit heavy and the goat soup which was ordered had no meat in it and about six spinners which was disappointing. It would also help if the food was not lukewarm and maybe a good idea to ask if people wanted it warmed up to eat directly. The portions of the main meal was 👍

The food was cold and there was too many sharp bones which we asked to not have many. Too dangerous. We nearly chocked on the bones and The child was only 8.

The food is OK just standard can be oily but ok would be good to see more selection of meals.. The only thing that needs improving is the customer service.. Many times I have to correct the change I'm given can be forgetful.. Impatient.. Prefer the chefs serving needs a smile goes along way it keeps customers because of the character then you wonder how the food will be..

On lline ordering, collection, service and food all very good. The food is always good quality, plentiful and very good value. My only niggle is that they omitted my ginger beer from my most recent order. Paul Hoffman

Probably the best place to eat in Leeds. West Indian food. Just scrupulous I love it. Jump on bus 2,3 or 36. Short ride get off at Chapeltown road/Harehills Ave. I had peppered steak. Brilliant. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
