Great place to eat. Service sharp and not too intrusive. Had the middle signature tasting menu. Food was very flavoursome and certainly felt full at the end. Dessert was a little underwhelming but really liked everything else. Mostafa our waiter was very friendly and provided a good dining experience

During our visit at Tattu we had the chance to chat to Franc, who was a really lovely and chatty bartender. He was absolutely fantastic and made us laugh and created really great cocktails! We would definitely recommend the limited cocktail and the Leigongs mace!

My partner arranged a dinner here for my birthday and it did not disappoint. We loved every minute of it, and apart from the food being absolutely out of this world, the atmosphere could not be more perfectly levelled to meet the vibe of the establishment. We cannot wait to go back and enjoy more at our next opportunity.

I find Tattoo overpriced but the food is usually lovely - however today the starter was stone cold and so was the main dish! If you’re going to over charge then at least make sure that the food is piping hot! I also think that each table should be offered water on their table - to have to keep asking for water is ridiculous. We were told that they didn’t have enough decanters to provide water for every table - just buy some more 🤷‍♀️

Tattu in leeds never lives up to the expectations. I booked a table in the new renovated upstairs dining room as last time we went and they gave a table underneath in the galley which wasn't great so this time I booked with plenty of time in advance directly on their website being very carefully to select the upstairs room.. I then rang in the morning of the booking to clarify that just to be told that the room was closed on Thursday ( why they did let me book it then). Absolutely devastated but of course it was a special occasion and we wanted to dine in this fantastic restaurant which promise so much on paper in terms of service and food. Service: I am not sure what's wrong with the waiters at a tattu but they don't smile, they are very polite, but they don't mile. A grin at the best. I think it's because they are trained to sell as much as they can so the service is like going to the till of a supermarket where they remind you of all the offer they have: " would like me to bring you a prawn cocktail to start your night?" " would you like to upgrade to a bottle?". I think the waters are so worried about hard selling upgrades that they forget to engage with the customer. On top of that it was a special occasion for us ( and we told everyone there) and we only got a little fireworks on our table and a very gelid " happy anniversary." I mean we have been to other restaurants in city centre in the same price range and they couldn't do enough for us with lots of little attentions which make all the difference. Food: apart one of two dishes which are really something innovative and unique in the taste , the rest of our food was nothing to remember especially king prawn were cooked in a thick sauce which has nothing to do with fine dining. After two attempts I don't think we will go back to tattu again.

Fantastic experience. Really cant get enough of this place. The food was excellent - as always, and the service was 10/10. Everyone that dealt with us throughout the night was friendly and very efficient. I'd just like to thank Charlotte as well for her brilliant service, and extra mile hospitality. She provided us with some really helpful info regarding some university courses as well. It's staff like this which really encourage people to come back. Thankyou tattu for a lovely evening.

The food was fantastic. For two of us we ordered 4 small plates, 1 main and 2 sides and it was more than enough! Lots of options for vegetarian and pescatarian etc. The staff are all incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes the visit all the better. We had our works post-Xmas party here last night and the service was impeccable. AMBER was our host and she was great. Her service was superb and she was accommodating for every request. We can’t wait to return again and would like to Thank Amber for her great service.

Didn’t unfortunately live up to the hype. So many people said incredible and amazing but what we experienced was completely different. For &90 a head we expected so much more and we didn’t expect to be overcharged for sesame crisps we didn’t order nor for cocktails we didn’t order either. We also expected not to be sat so close to other tables that we felt we were eating with them! Expensive and underwhelming especially when we’ve had so much better in Edinburgh when we had the Japanese tasting menu at the Virgin Edinburgh for £75 a head in February last year. Now that was an experience!

The food, service, and ambiance were all wonderful. Our server, Deriel, was incredibly helpful and hospitable throughout the evening, making our dining experience even more enjoyable.

Mostafa was brilliant, explained everything really clearly. Food really inventive if a little salty.

Visited for the first time last Saturday. The decor inside is amazing, really beautiful place. We had booked a table online, however we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. I understand waiting 5-10 minutes, but 30 minutes was longer than expected. However on the plus side, we did manage to get a drink from the bar, which was really good. Bar staff have an excellent knowledge of drinks. We settled for the signature set menu. It was absolutely incredible, the tastes and flavours were superb. We were left to enjoy the food and felt that we were given enough time to enjoy the experience. I had ask the staff a couple times for a fork to use, however this never arrived but with it being a busy Saturday I understand things get forgotten. My partner and I really enjoyed the experience, we will definitely be visiting again in the future.

I have been quiet a few times to Tattu, however this time service was crap, food was good, but the waitress seemed like she couldn’t be asked at all, it ruined all the visit…first thing she brought wrong cocktail to me, but she wasn’t available so I could even ask about it.. we kept waiting, I ended up just drinking it, it was very nice, but it wasn’t what I ordered … we had to keep asking for stuff … more drinks, cutlery’s, plates … when you spend £400 I would expect service to be much better, this visit had left a bad taste .. not sure if I will return to Leeds store.

The drinks are very expensive. The food was absolutely amazing & definitely worth it with 40% off. We had the £90 per head set menu & in all honesty there was too much food. Our dessert was changed as they’d run out of sticky toffee which is a bit disappointing given we dined at 5pm. Also we were given the same cutlery for each wave, which personally I’d have preferred new. Our waiter was great, explaining everything & was really knowledgable & friendly. Would definitely return while they have offers on or for a special occasion but probably not affordable for a general visit

Went there for NYE and I don’t think I’ve ever had nicer food. The atmosphere was amazing and our waiter, Tom, was a level of friendly I did not believe possible. You have to go here!

We came for New Year’s Eve lunch and food was absolutely incredible. Our celebration was made extra special by our waiter Deriel as service was brilliant and he was so helpful.

My wife and I had the most wonderful experience at Tattu, between waiting for trains. We were served by Amber, who was attentive, diligent, warm and courteous. Any establishment is lucky to have her. She recommended the perfect amount of dishes and pairings for us both and guided us through the menu. As halal diners, the menu provides plenty of appropriate options - a stand out dish has to be the mushroom spring rolls. A must go for Leeds foodies.

Love the ambience, great food—some dishes in the set menu are slightly over seasoned/too salty, but overall everything was tasty. Our server Deriel really made our night; super charming, very attentive, and made us feel very welcomed.

As a returning diner to Tattu, I approached my second visit with an open mind, hoping it would redeem itself after my lacklustre experience a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, my opinion remains unchanged. The decor is undeniably striking, a masterclass in elegance and atmosphere. Tattu offers a uniquely immersive environment, one that feels meticulously designed to captivate and enchant. The service upon entry is similarly impressive—efficient and polished as you’re escorted to your table. However, this professionalism falters when the food arrives. The peculiar practice of having a server stand awkwardly nearby with a tray until another staff member becomes available is both distracting and inefficient, particularly given the noticeably low staffing levels. Now to the heart of the matter: the food. When evaluating the quality of the dishes against their premium pricing, I must be candid—Tattu falls woefully short. Signature items such as the Wagyu and black cod were unavailable, a glaring omission for a restaurant positioning itself as a high-end destination. This, coupled with dishes that failed to deliver in flavour and finesse, left the entire experience deeply underwhelming. For those seeking an Instagram-worthy outing, Tattu delivers in spades. The theatrics of billowing smoke cocktails and aesthetic touches like decorative chopsticks create the illusion of grandeur. But for diners prioritising exceptional cuisine over curated spectacle, there is little of substance to be found here. Tattu excels as a visual experience but falters in delivering a culinary one, leaving me once again disappointed. For those who value substance over style, I cannot recommend it.

The service staff was awful, with a dismissive attitude towards customers. Was it because we are Asian and not dressed extravagantly, so we had to endure rude treatment from the staff? When it came time to pay, the staff just gave the bill at us without saying anything else. We asked other staff three times, but no one came to assist us. We will never return again.

Fantastic service, well worth the cost. Beautiful dining experience, great, friendly staff. Cocktails are also phenomenal, and the food is to die for, the wagyu being melt in your mouth. I could genuinely come here just for the wagyu and I'd be very happy. One of the best birthday experiences I've had!

We went here for our Christmas event with friends. Our expectations were high having read reviews. What I can say is that we were underwhelmed and disappointed. We could have gone to Joy's Kitchen and had a better meal with all we could drink for about half the price. The food would have been better and we would not have as uncomfortable. 1. Vastly over-priced drinks 2. Food was tepid and then expected to be eaten off cold plates. 3. Choice on set menu was limited. 4. Awful throbbing drum and bass music 5. Needed to ask more than once for items - soy sauce and tap water etc. 6. Uncomfortable with attempts to upsell from staff. 7. I t is "up-market" to run backwards and forwards with a bottle of wine but it is really off-putting for the client. Overall a very disappointing experience - both couples in our party wished they had been alone so that complaining would not have been awkward. If you have problems with accessibility then this is not for you - the general use toilets are in the cellar which is a real chore from the mezzanine level. There is an accessible toilet on the ground floor, however my partner was challenge about her wish to use this and redirected downstairs.

Excellent food & service, one dish was a bit too spicy for my mum so the manger came over & offered to change the meal & cooked another one for her. Not many places would do that & it was really appreciated. The food was superb & it’s a lovely setting.

Overrated, Overpriced, and Disappointing I really hate to have to write this but I had high expectations, and this experience was a complete letdown. The bill came to over £230 for two people. ( I was only drinking water. ) The server , although nice was very busy and did not explain how the set menu arrived . Most of the dishes I couldn’t eat with my dietary needs that I had explained . I left the restaurant still hungry. When I raised my concerns with the waiter on the night, I was met with a shrug. Following up via email was equally frustrating—it took two emails and five days to receive a response. Their resolution? Offering me two cocktails on a future visit. Frankly, that felt like an insult, as there won’t be a next visit.

Amber was our host for the night and she was charming and friendly, she talked us through the menu, asked about our day and kept checking in to make sure everything was OK. Other staff were also very attentive. The food was amazing, especially the king prawn dish from the small plates. I will definitely return. Thank you guys for an amazing night

We came here for our end of year night out, and the food was spot on! The service overall was decent in terms of bringing food and drinks to the table, but I have to mention the young waiter with glasses who served us. He came across as quite full of himself, very robotic and scripted, with no real personality. At one point, we asked if they served fries alongside the small plates we ordered, and he looked around and replied, ‘Does it look like we serve fries here?’ How patronising! Fries are a pretty common option on small plates menus, especially in a sharing style dining environment. It left a bit of a sour note on an otherwise good experience.

We had the most fantastic experience tonight. We had a gorgeous meal and our waiter Ollie was absolutely brilliant. Highly recommend to anyone. We were significantly delayed by traffic and quite embarrassed at how badly we were late but the staff were really understanding. We were expecting our table to be let go because of it but we called in advance and the staff did everything they could to accomodate us. Will be back!

Overall had a really nice meal. The food was fantastic and the service was also spot on. Took off a star because I don't think it's okay to having 'Peking Duck' on the menu but then serve crispy duck to the table. They're not the same thing.

I went for my 25th birthday with my cousin and sister and was served by the lovely Amber who was kind enough to break down the menu for us and recommend some dishes she thought we’d like. We were seated in the white rose garden which was beautifully made and memorable. I enjoyed the spicy egg noodles side dish and wild mushroom and black truffle spring rolls most of all! The winter dessert special dessert “ice dragon” was especially nice and they brought a sparkler and fortune cookie out for me with a birthday message on it too 💙great vibes

I recently had a business meeting with a few colleagues and we chose the leeds location. Midweek at lunch the place wasn't too busy. We ordered a good range of items, enjoyed it all, particularly the monkfish and the tuna tartar. Tom our server was really welcoming, came across very confidently and was knowledgeable about any questions we had on the dishes. Great experience, would absolutely go again.

Amazing modern chinese food, wide menu sekection, both set meaks, a la carte and small dishes. Generous portion sizes and extensive wine and cocktail menu. Think you know chinese food? Think again. This was stylish, modern and delicious.

Waiter was rude, made us feel stupid and like we didn’t belong. Left after our starter and still billed for whole set menu! Venue itself was absolutely stunning and such a gorgeous layout and decor!
