Nice evening spent in the outdoor area (I think they have two but we were in the main car park). Staff were nice, and brought out a drink to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary, which was very kind. Toilets fine, inside fine, and the drinks were served well and reasonably priced. It was very quiet when we went, but we were happy enough with this. Would definitely go back if in the area.

3 starters, 4 mains, 2 coffees, 2 pints and 2 soft drinks for £60. The food was excellent. Service was under par but the lad was only on his 3rd shift and it was busy and hot, so he was still finding his feet. Many of the empty tables had not been cleared (but to be fair we've been to several other places over the last month who had the same issue ) I'd happily go again and have already recommended it to a friend

Awful. Dithering brainless staff, foul beer. Take a swerve elsewhere. I found other bars in the town, where the beer is bank on and the staff are switched on

In early january 2020 we stayed at this hotel and had an excellent short break, availing ourselves of the cut price groupon deals that gave us b and b for the great price of £49 per couple per night. Right from our slick and efficient check in we knew we were in for a great break, with the staff catering to our every need. Our room on the 3rd floor of the main building was spacious and well presented, with a well set out bathroom that had both a bath and shower. The room was clean and the bedding was pristine and crisp, with the usual tea and coffee making facilities and an LCD tv with digital channels only. Our evening meal in the restaurant was good, however the menu has changed little since our last visit over a year ago. The food was well presented and reasonably priced, and all in all could be said to be of a good standard, however it was not exceptional and could maybe be a bit more adventurous. The dining room staff were excellent and very professional in tending to customer needs, with the setting reminiscent of a scene from Downton Abbey. The entire hotel reeks of tradition and is well appointed, with high ceilings and cavernous public areas, a setting that manages to convey what it must be like to live in a stately home, whilst retaining a traditional Scottish welcome that cocoons guests like a cashmere blanket. In the morning we were overwhelmed by the choice of breakfast fare and were astounded that all this could be provided for the price we paid. Personally I just loved the hotel and cannot wait to return to this beautifully located Stirlingshire oasis. I would thoroughly recommend this Hotel and its excellent staff.

If you like a good ordinary pub, the public bar in The Dunblane fits the bill perfectly. Clean and tidy, telly on the football, friendly locals and good service. I liked it.

We visited this hotel for dinner at the recommendation of our accommodation hosts. There is a wonderful ambience here, with an open garden frontage, where one can sit out and enjoy a calm evening with friends or alone, and traditional bar and restaurant within. The food was excellent and the staff most convivial.

So, before exploring the twin, we popped in about 1545, a few pleasant locals, sign on bar ‘ring bell for service’ a local said one tender runs both the lounge and the bar. When she eventually came she had a face like a torn scone, bi hello, can I help you, she raised her head in an upward nod to my wife, we ordered a beer, which was nice and s white wine which was barely cheap lows. We left after that and got a far better welcome in the riverside. Worst part was the barmaid

We are part of a group o 13 looking to have a few drinks, spot of lunch and watch some of the Ryder Cup. The lounge bar has 2 people in it. The main bar where we entered had about 6 or 7 locals all with their betting slips because the horse racing was on. Upon asking the bar man for a bite to eat and if the golf was getting put on we were told no golf and the few local gave our group a real unwelcomed look and said try across the road. For a bar sitting nearly empty, if i was the bar owner i would at least make an effort to accommodate the group rather than pass up potential hundreds of pounds extra in the till. The fact the lounge was empty but two surely the TV could work through there to leave the horse guys to themselves. Not a Welcoming place.

For the money this Hotel was good. It is basic rooms but had all in that was needed. Bathroom was clean as were beds and bedroom. Clothes rail was ideal for weekend stay. Staff were very friendly and obliging and made stay a pleasurable one. Even let one of the groups little dog stay and made him welcome. Chef called Denise was excellent and also looked after us during our stay. Very friendly and nothing was too much trouble to make our stay enjoyable. Only fault is we had an old tv which could have been more modern but could still watch, not enough milk left in room, kettle only small. But no major faults. Would go again. If you watching the pennies it is ideal and you not in your room long anyway so as long as it is clean and has all basics it was fine. Breakfast was really nice and nice we could go down not too early.A live band was on on a Saturday who were really good and pub had a good atmosphere.

Lets start by saying the breakfast was excellent. Also rather enjoyed the evening meal as well.On the accomodation however I would not even give the place one star. When you arrive at the Hotel you go in via what must be the hotels place (reception hall) to dump lots of their junk. This does not give a very good first impression. The room is ok however the fungus on the bedroom roof tends to put a dampener on wanting to spend time there. Lounge Bar down stairs is good and an excellent view. With the Ryder Cup just round the corner I would hope that Hotel owners give the place a wee upgrade. Would hate to think that people leave after staying here thinking that this is the best Scotland has to offer.

What a shame, this splace used to be great. I recently stopped in and order a G&T, sadly there was no ice and no limes. The bar man was kind enough at that point to lean on the Carling pump.. I get the hint.. "Pint of Carling please". Gazing over his shoulder it was plain to see the shelves were sparsely populated, this is not a good sign in the licensing trade. Here's the real surprise, I went next door to the public bar for the first time. I don't know what shocked me more? The blonde behind the bar who insisted on chewing her boyfrinds face off between customers or the recreation of Mount Everest that is the bulging floor... is this building safe?

We were staying in a different hotel in Dunblane and I went off to buy some doggy poo bags from the local supermarket. On my back to my own hotel i noticed this place that had CAMRA awards. I dropped in to try a pint. the first pint ordered was poured and then the barmaid refused to serve it to me. On closer examination it turned out to be slightly cloudy and not up to her standards. She poured me a different pint from her selection of at least three real ales. That one was very good. In the meantime she had gone and change over the barrel for the first beer. I had a good look round. (I was in the lounge bar.) There were a good many families, with children, enjoying dinners of what appeared to be very good quality pub grub. It is a pity the very upmarket hotel in which I was actually staying did not achieve this hotel's standards. i think I will stay here next time I am in Dunblane.
