Food at the Dukes was amazing with a fabulous view from our table. Staff were exceptional with a nice friendly hospitable welcome from both Katherine and Sophie during our visit. It was our first visit to the Dukes for a number of years for both golf/food but was by far the best day we have had for a vast number of years. Would thoroughly recommend the Dukes if you are looking for a 5 star experience.

The Dukes Clubhouse is one of the few places that you can go in town to have coffee or a meal with a cosy welcoming atmosphere, not be made to feel you have overstayed , has genuine friendly staff and an unrivalled view. Being dog friendly with great coffee served hot is a real bonus. Would highly recommend.

I’m not one to leave a review but we had such a great day of golf at The Duke’s - made better by the weather that finally broke for our trip! We ate and drank on the balcony at the clubhouse taking in the view for a few hours and despite it seeming busy, staff didn’t keep to the usual 2 hour table slot which meant we could relax. The service from the team (sorry I can’t remember any names) was superb. In a town where you can become just a number we felt very well looked after!!

Went in for lunch. No-one greeted us. Had to go up to the bar to be asked what we wanted! I said "a table for lunch". Not shown to a table. Sat down anyway. There were 3 waitresses behind the bar doing stuff? After 15 minutes of no service we left. What is the aim of this place if nit to provide a service and encourage people who come to spend?? The place also looks like a bare room with tables and chairs. Nice view but very lacking in all areas. How long since the owner was in there??

This restaurant has tje worst service I have experienced on a golf course. I strongly advice to pack lunch and drinks if you plan to play at Dukes.

Après notre belle journée sur le parcours du Dukes, nous avons manger et bu au club house. C'est encore dans son jus de l'époque Old School. La cuisine est bonne et le service agréable. Terrasse avec vue sur le parcours.

Our family and my wife's brother's family take it in turns to arrange a Boxing Day family meal. We used to do it a home but for around 16 each time, we felt it was time we let others take the strain after Christmas Day celebrations! So last year was our turn and we booked the Captain's Suite at The Dukes. I arranged meetings with the Chef and the Food and Beverage manager to agree a menu and they came up trumps! The food was great and the service impeccable. Indeed the staff could not have done more. David Scott and his team were spot on and we will be delighted to return in the future....the Clubhouse has fantastic views over St Andrews Bay and is well worth a visit any time of the year....even if you are not a golfer!

This is an underrated golf course (because it’s not a links) ... but we had a quick 9-holes followed by lunch in clubhouse. The course was excellent - challenging but superbly maintained. The clubhouse is modern with great menu offering reasonably priced, good quality meals. The staff were very helpful & so pleasant. Overall a great lunch experience looking back to St. Andrews.

I booked for Sunday lunch. I went onto the Old Course website and found the clubhouse. I had assumed it was the Old Course clubhouse, but it wasn’t. It’s about 2.5 Miles from the Old Course hotel. It may be a very good golf course, but as a venue to eat, it was very disappointing. Not least because on the day we went they had no chicken, so all chicken containing dishes were off the menu. Food was average at best. So be warned. It’s NOT in the Old Course Hotel and it’s also not very good. The staff were friendly and helpful

We went to The Duke's for their Sunday Carvery, on Sunday afternoon, the 6th of August. We were at first surprised at how empty the dining room was at 1:45 p.m. (the "Sunday Carvery" is supposed to run from noon to 3:00 p.m. We could see what appeared to be a series of buffet tables in the back corner of the room, but didn't see anybody in a white toque, with his knives ready to do any carving. After a long (and dry) wait, a friendly enough 20-something waiter came to our table to take drink orders, which we gave him. After another long wait(they were far from busy!), he returned with the drinks, and we all (2 couples) said we'd have "The Carvery." He informed us, "there's only one meat today--stuffed pork shoulder." That was a little disappointing, because "Carvery" usually means a live chef carving from a roast beef, a roast ham, maybe a roast pork, or turkey, and putting any or all on your plate. He headed off to the kitchen, and we kept expecting to see a chef emerge from the kitchen to man the buffet tables with the stainless steel service on it to dish up our potatoes & veg along with the bespoke stuffed pork shoulder. No such luck. After another long, inexplicable wait, the same young man emerges from the kitchen with four plates containing a beautiful slice of stuffed roast pork, potatoes, carrots, and parsnips, and a Yorkshire pudding each. The quality of the food was good, but it should more accurately be described as "Roast of the Day," than as "Carvery." As I said, the food was good, but the whole experience left something to be desired, when we came expecting a traditional carvery, and the attentiveness so lacking on an extremely UNbusy day.

We had lunch here- lovely staff, had chicken burgers with mozzarella and chips- delicious. Sky tv on wall with golf on. Guys at bar really nice. Great views over St. Andrews, then a wander around Craigton Park next door- nice way to spend an afternoon!

The dukes is a traditional (American) golf course with a good clubhouse which can overlook the 18th hole. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the cleanliness of the course and clubhouse. If in the area, give it a try.

Six of us went for lunch. The restaurant has an air of quality, nice situation and wealthy foreign tourists mulling about. That's where the quality ends! I had the fish and chips, as had others. Fish draped over the thin fries which arrived, just warm but cooled quickly. The fish was tasteless, in fact not a pleasant taste. The batter was lightly fried and I wasn't convinced the fish was fully cooked. The service was okay and staff pleasant enough but the meal is the most important aspect and I didn't enjoy it. Will not be back.

Went for a days golfing been lots of times before course in good condition friendly staff were not sure if we were going to stay for food or stop on way home well we definitely made wrong decision we stayed 4 of us 3 ordered Dukes burger in a bun and fries the burger was ok but the fries and brie bun were( sorry guys) awful we all left the fries at £14 and where we were we thought standard of food would have been better but could have went to McDonald's for a fraction and enjoyed it so overall would definitely be back to play golf without a doubt but won't be eating in clubhouse 😭

Bought an itison voucher for lunch at the Dukes Clubhouse, this was for 2 courses and tea or coffee afterwards. We both had the same to eat the haggis bon bons to start which were delicious and for the main fish and chips which was good too, The staff were attentive and ensured we had everything we needed, the views from the clubhouse were fantastic you could see the whole of St. Andrews.

Whilst staying in the area for a couple of days my wife and I visited Dukes following a friends suggestion. The approach to the Clubhouse even on a wet Autumn day is very impressive and once inside the lovely dining room we saw the amazing view out to sea. We were looked after quietly and efficiently by a nice waitress. The food arrived quickly. We shared a Haggis Bon Bon starter followed by a ham and cheese panini and a chicken burger.Everything was freshly made and very tasty. Well worth a visit

Visited this lunchtime with service users. Food was ok although 2 of the baked potatoes were very small with hardly any filling, the 3 filled rolls all good, no complaints. The issue arose when it came to paying, quite disorganised. The gentleman became visibly stressed, struggled to find the price of most items. We needed individual receipts + as the till didn't print these, they needed to be hand written, he didn't know what to do + when he asked for help he was told "he's busy" + "I've not a clue, sorry", there was a woman standing close by who looked like she could've helped but didn't. I made eye contact a couple of times but she just let him muddle on through. I ended up saying to him to forget about the receipts and I would do them myself on return to work. He was so anxious, really felt for him. He needed support + didn't get any. Wasn't a pleasant experience. I've worked with adults with additional support needs for nearly 20 years + have an autistic stepson. I'm all for places like Sensoriale but please support the staff to be the best that they can be.

We visited on Wednesday and enjoyed it so much we return as a family tonight. The place was busy and the food was great. But the very best thing was the staff. Everyone of them could not have been better. Helpful, polite and friendly. The atmosphere was great and the decor is spot on. Also all age groups catered for.Surely the bench mark for all other pubs in Glenrothes.10/10.
