Regularly come here with friends and it’s become a birthday favourite to book the skittles alley. The people here are really great, welcoming and the pints are reasonably priced.

Great pub with loads of games, good choice of drinks and snacks, and a bunch of different seating areas including a covered outdoor space.

Great pub in St Paul's, popped in for one, had a great crowd, really mixed. The character of the pub is definitely what sells it, so much memorabilia in there!

Home (pub) from home this place has a way of bringing people together quite unlike any other pub, the guests it attracts are lovely and the locals are truly one of a kind (although there may be a gd few of them). The staff have a wonderfull genuine way of making everyone at home there is always a place for you at the bar.

Great pub, cosy, tasty new Bristol beers, big smokers garden. Some customers slightly smelly but that’s st werburghs I guess and all part of the charm.

Always have a decent selection of well kept tasty cask ales. Usually in different styles to suit different tastes. And usually have one of sensible strength for midweek drinking. Great friendly atmosphere.

Great pub, friendly people, nice staff, excellent ales, (especially the darker malterier variety), surprisingly spacious, old skool skittle alley, nice vibe. One of Bristol's best.

Went in on Saturday night, busy enough to have a bustling energy but still got served my pint quickly and staff kindly chatted through non alcoholic options, had clear head in the fridge which is always a winner. All in all a great little boozer.

One of my favourite places on this planet. Beautiful, accepting, inclusive people. Vast array of drinks to suit all (gluten free, alcohol free, local galore). Lots of opportunities for play: fab board games and space for pool, darts and skittles 💙

One of the nicest place in Bristol. The skittles alley is a huge plus, the staff is very friendly and helpful, the prices are fair, the garden area is spacious, upstairs there's a function room and pool tables + darts. Great place to visit anytime during the year.

Great pub, cheap drinks, great ale selection (always nice to see Ashley down brewery out and about), lovely helpful and chatty staff, brilliant outside area, easily one of the best pubs in Bristol. Cannot speak of it highly enough!

This is by far one of the best pubs in Bristol. Love every member of staff here, always friendly and up for a giggle. Fantastic selection of drinks at reasonable prices (recommend their £5 Bloody Mary's, just do them a favour and don't order when it's busy!). Duke of York has everything you could want. Want to sit in a cosy outside area? You can. Fancy a game of skittles? Go for it. Game of pool or darts? Sure. The locals and punters create a lovely atmosphere and their snack selection is amazing. So happy to live close to this place and will return happily, many times.

Legend has it that the duke of York stands on the very spot that the opening scene of seminal cinematic masterpiece "The Pacifier" was conceived. Look out for loose guns and baby stuff or whatever I dunno I didn't see it. Vin Diesel right? Or was it that other massive unit..

Local, nice, quiet, cosy, warm. Welcoming, fun , clean. Always enjoyed popping in for a quick one or a long session depending the mood or the occasion. Great 👍 👌 👍 little hide out due to the location for someone who is looking for extra Privacy far away from curious eyes.

A friendly pub, great range of beers and the decor has to be seen, very eclectic and interesting. There is a coffin filled with books that can be borrowed. A hidden gem that is worth finding.

A great little pub hidden away just behind mina park. Used to be my local many years ago. Full of little trinkets and such lining the walls and feels cozy whilst usually being quite bustling. Good selection of beers; including some local craft beer from arbour and wiper & true. Also has a skittles alley that when available is great to have a little game or two. Upstairs also has a pool table and a darts board.

The staff here are doing an amazing job managing the new COVID rules, despite it being such a tricky space. The one-way system means that there is never any reason to have to squeeze past anyone, they are doing a great job of waiting on the tables, and they are diligently making sure that everyone where's a mask when they are up and about. It looks like hard work, but doesn't seem to have got them down yet. So thankful this place is able to open... the Werb would be a much sadder place without the Duke.

Beautiful pub, but not accessible! If you are a user of a power chair or wheelchair I definitely do not recommend going here. I went here for a friend's birthday party and it was super crowded. It's not their fault, its a lush bar. Staff were quite unsure about how to help and seemed very awkward. One lady got very upset behind the bar because we wanted to use one of the plugs to charge my chair and we didn't ask permission. I did feel bad but we were in quite an emergency situation. Otherwise I wouldn't have been able to get home. Please be more considerate to disabled customers!
