We came in for a late afternoon Sunday roast, and we were greeted warmly with kindness. The staff (In particular one chap) went out of their way to accommodate us for dinner and to make sure we were happy. The roast was pretty tasty, nice selection of meat and vegetables, with really yummy stuffing balls. The roast potatoes were a little dry and not as crispy as we'd like but really good portion and value for money. Will definitely come back again.

Had a roast dinner here and on the whole it was good. The chicken was a bit dry and needed much more gravy, Yorkshire was a bit too cooked for my liking too. Slightly small portion of cauliflower cheese for £7 but still nice - on the whole a solid roast but could be much better with some minor improvements.

I should have known better- service was appalling before. But I was going to a show down the road, and this was handy. I was early, but the dining area wasn't busy, and they seated me right away. If you don't want vegetarian, your choices are very limited- you can have bacon cheeseburger, or two kinds of fish. I had beer-battered fish and chips. She asked whether I'd like fries or chunky chips. I asked for fries. I was served quickly enough- the fish came with chunky chips. The fish was fine, if bland. Not a single person came near me afterwards to ask whether things were OK, or I wanted anything else. The wine was nice, although towards the cheaper end of what was a pricey wine list. I would have ordered another, had I had the chance. As it was, I managed to catch someone's eye to ask for the bill, but it wasn't until I was putting on my coat that anyone brought a card machine. Honestly, I'd have eaten more quickly, the food would have been tastier, and I'd have paid a lot less, if I'd eaten at Pret, down the road.

TOP NOTCH ! In London for a long weekend and staying Sunday night near Waterloo. Did a quick TripAvisor search to find this pub and was delighted with the results. We both had roast beef, with a monstrous Yorkshire pudding & veg - was first class. Good selection of beers & wines available by the glass. Staff were very good/attentive and the pub itself was very well kept. Would deffo come back again. Thanks Team Duke 👍🏼

My friend & I with 2 children had a pleasant late lunch with drinks. My friend (who is the most diplomatic peraon I know) went to the bar to purchase another drink. Sadly, the rude barman refused her ( she just told him she was next to be served) Even a barmaid agreed with her. However, he refused to serve her saying she was awkward (which I add she never is) . So after spending upwarda of £60 we left. YOU need to re-train this very nasty barman.

Thank you to the amazing team at The Duke of Sussex! We had a fabulous 26-person dinner in one of their private rooms. Reece, Chyna, Megi, Vinny, Tom and Callum were absolutely brilliant and we were incredibly well looked after by a wonderful group of people. We also thank Sarah for her planning and correspondence in the days leading up to the event. Our meals were delicious and the set-menu options were varied and exciting to choose from. We look forward to our next event at The Duke of Sussex and thank everyone again for being fantastic.

We spent two days in London after a recent Northern European cruise. We wanted our final meal in London to reflect traditional, local offerings and made our way to the Duke of Sussex. As it was a beautiful evening, we opted for dining on the patio. Roland was our waiter, and we were very pleased with his recommendations as well as his friendly yet professional demeanor. The setting, service, and meal were all wonderful. It was a perfect way to wrap up our trip.

With competition stiff in London, where there is a restaurant and pub every 100ft, you would think businesses would love Patrons coming to spend their money. Not this place. Totally unorganized, ZERO hospitality and an utter mess. I don’t review much, but when it’s bad, it has to be very bad. No one seated us, got water only after asking a server who passed us a dozen times prior. Then…we sat. And waited…and waited…and waited. Not ever seeing a waiter looking in our direction to even try and flag them down. Nope, this was not the place for us. We got up and left…i certain they didn’t notice, because they certainly didn’t care. Word of advice, maybe have some sort of organization to where you greet your customers see them in a location to where a server knows that they’re new and they’re there to order food and drinks. Seems pretty remedial, but that did not happen here. This, on my wife’s birthday no less. What a shame. Spend your money elsewhere.

Very nice place, with attentive service and good atmosphere. Me and my friends all had fish and chips and it was crispy, not too oily, fresh, and delicious. We booked a table outside and I must say they have one of the prettier outdoor seating I've ever seen considering it's so close to a high-traffic city area. We went on a regular Tuesday evening, so I was expecting for the place to be a little empty, but I couldn't be more wrong! The place was buzzing, and because they've spaced the tables sensibly, we enjoyed the lively crowd without being packed like sardines. Very recommended spot, and do yourself a favour: book in advance!

Ordered a bottle of picpoul and was left with a glass full of sediment. For a £30 a bottle of wine, it’s quite expensive! We brought this to the attention of the bar staff, but was met with the fact that their supplier had told them it was a dodgy batch, and they tried to argue that this was normal for picpoul. Knowing it is not we asked for. The bartended was incredibly rude, Almost blaming us for drinking it & not noticing sooner. Big shame, I should get what I paid for, not a knock off version! the pub cares more about money than customer satisfaction. Quantity over quality.

Interesting spot near waterloo station that looks better than it smells. We stopped by to grab a glass of wine and some pork crackling sticks for a quick drink and snack on a slow day. Service was quick and wonderful. The wine selection didn't seem very high quality although there were some niche options. We asked for a wine from Spain and were generally disappointed with it. The pork crackling bar snack came varying in texture. Some being nice, crunchy, and crispy, others strangely soggy. Not a dealbreaker though even though it was just alright. The weird part of everything was the smell throughout the first floor. Trying not to be too vulgar, it smelled what I would imagine it would be like at the horse guards parade.

Somehow this place manages to completely mess up a breakfast. Full English on the menu but you have to order beans as an extra? Doesn’t sound too full to me. Portion of toast was measly and when we ordered more it took ten minutes to get to the table. The reason for that was “we’re busy” which is fair enough but they also had a lot of staff and it’s TOAST. Not exactly difficult to sort out. £2.60 for the pleasure of two slices of slow toast. I’d advise eating literally anywhere else.

Bit disappointed with the food and service this visit. The steak was a visibly low quality stringy fatty thin piece of meat. A side with my main had run out which is fine, what's not fine is others on my table had finished their meals as my main arrived 40mins later than theirs and being told as I'm handed the plate I'd have to go to the bar and ask for the side to be refunded. This then involved waiting at the bar to be 'served' and a further wait for a manager. Querying something about my plate the waiter advised he's not the chef - weird.
