terrific food - we don't eat meat so the chef made a special main dish for us - lovely service and excellently friendly reception by staff. Lovely to have this just down the road from us - a real local bistro.

Food was very nice. We did end up paying 90 pounds pp but we had a fantastic time. Recommended!

Querida Unión Bistro Mi pareja y yo comimos en tu restaurante a los 18. 00 del viernes 17 de enero , sentado en la parte trasera , en el pasillo de la cocina. Comimos sopa de chirivía - excelente. Mi compañero pidió perdiz. Esto era tan duro y demasiado cocido que no se podía cortar fácilmente. Tuvimos que pedir una caja para perros para llevárnosla a casa (donde todavía estaba dura y demasiado cocida. ) Pedí confites de pato. Esto estaba tan seco que sabía como si estuviera pre-cocido. `La factura rondaba las 170 libras. No tenemos intención de regresar. ¿Tal vez podrías re-financiarnos nuestra comida? 07580 495694 .

Delicious food , as ever. Service wa s little slower today than usual, which made eating with little ones tricky, but we still had a lovely time. Can’t wait to come back.

Poorly executed food, horrible oysters, main courses were severely lacking in quality and presentation. All in all a very disappointing experience, even the wine was way below the quality you would expect for the cost.

Domingo Asado el último fin de semana de diciembre. En primer lugar, quiero señalar que, como tabla de cuatro, el proyecto de ley ascendió a alrededor de 235 libras esterlinas. Llevo años viniendo aquí pero esta vez decepcionado. El servicio no es genial, la comida no es genial, que es inusual para este lugar. Espero que uno - apagado, pero no se apresurará a volver. A £ 200 por 2 para la cena (con vino) esperar mejor... . .

Suficientemente agradable "bistro" en Clapham con un ambiente muy relajado. El personal era amable y acogedor. Habíamos optado por una selección de “platos”, incluyendo cóctel de gambas, burrata, salmón, gougeres y pan, aceitunas, almendras. Lo más destacado para mí fueron las gougeres, ligero y esponjoso sabor a arena - todo lo demás era algo abrumador, el cóctel de gambas extrañamente insípido y seamos realistas, no se puede ensuciar burrata o salmón. Sí, habíamos ordenado estas cosas, pero quizás una presentación más creativa podría haber contribuido a una mejor experiencia de sabor. Los postres eran buenos, mi tarta de pera y almendras muy agradable y la olla de chocolate de mi compañero era muy buena. Es un lugar agradable, pero de alguna manera su identidad es confusa - nos quedamos pensando, “sí, está bien, está bien”, pero nada más. Quizás porque está conectado a Trinity, (lo cual es excelente), nuestras expectativas eran demasiado altas.

Lovely jazzy atmosphere. Staff was very helpful and alert to tend to us. Went there for a tea time break. The bread starter is fantastic. Came with 3 different flavoured spread on (garlic, tandori & kulim oil salt) and soft bread. It doesnt look much at first but wont disappoint. Tried the chicken pot pie and it was well season through out. A must try would be their seasonal cocktail drink. Tried the 1 with roselle , dried pineapple , gin etc. indeed classy and refreshing. Definitely will come again. Kinda pricey but food is good.

Came to Bistro Union for my boyfriend’s birthday meal and it was exceptional from start to finish. The team were so attentive and made it feel like such a special occasion - we were served by the lovely Laura who was probably one of the best FOH staff I’ve ever met - she was so kind and lovely. The food was all spectacular but we particularly loved the parfait, grougeres and the sole. I will also have dreams about that Earl Grey cocktail. Will definitely be back!

This was an evening at their justifiably popular Sunday Night Supper Club. They restrict it to only 40 people so it's well worth while booking well ahead as it's always sold out

This is just a wonderful little Bistro, serving the kind of quality food consistently that is rare in London. Lovely people, great atmosphere, we’ve never had a disappointing meal having been several times and the menu is always changing.

Some of the best roast chicken I’ve ever had. It was quiet when we first arrive, only one other table seated, and they seated us directly next to them… it felt a little odd, but became less bothersome when the rest of the tables began to fill as the hour went on

I’ve been really looking forward to coming here for a roast but was a little disappointed if I’m honest. The food was tasty enough but definitely wasn’t great. The sirloin beef was stone cold and covered in in-edible fat + dry Yorkshires. Whoever plated our food up was clearly thinking about the football. I wouldn’t usually care but this meal was almost double the price of other places locally and as Bistro Union markets itself as the best, I felt obliged to tell the truth. Staff were all lovely and perfectly attentive 👍

We had a great Sunday lunch. We started with an amazing pisco sour and then followed it with one of the best roast beef sirloins I’ve had in a long time. Service was friendly and efficient. Nothing to fault! We will be back!

Poor service considering there was so few people in the restaurant. The server was too bust messing with the wine rather than ensuring tables has cutlery when their next course came. Great food and nice touch that the chefs bring it out on a Sunday

We arrived slightly flustered as we were running j late and on a tight time frame. The manager set us down effortlessly and we both ordered roast beef. It was forgives, plentiful and exactly what we both needed. This is my first visit to Bistro Union and I will definitely be back!

Perfect Sunday lunch. Attentive service, fabulous Bloody Mary. Loved the chowder with fresh crusty beads and butter.

We were a few minutes late but seated quickly. It then took a long time to have drinks orders taken though there were only two other tables occupied! We were served food by the chef who has a few words afterwards. I feel there was not enough aubergine in the moussaka but the cheese grogueres and rice pudding were excellent.

First came in 2014, the first proper restaurant we ate at and it reminded us of the Brooklyn NY unpretentious joints run by ex Michelin star chefs that offered high quality at a very good value, that we were so familiar with. Seems to still be the case at Bistro Union. Am currently enjoying very good wine, delicious compte gougeres, gordal olives, nduja mascarpone bites, a lightly smoked pork chop, and lamb shoulder, all while rudely writing this review in front of wife. Highly recommend. Given it’s tucked away on a quiet part of abbeville road, it’s easy to overlook, but still worth a visit

A great meal as ever. Great food and a lovely atmosphere

Four of us dined have a combination of small and large plates. The small plates being the burrata and Waldorf salad were very average. Without any doubt in my mind I would have made them better at home. The sea bream ceviche was delicious although the caponata was deemed as lacking in the sweet and sour taste for which this dish is known.

Offshoot of Trinity the excellent restaurant at the top end of Clapham Common from which our waitress had come over to help out Bistro Union provides excellent food at prices which are a bit higher than comparable Gastropubs but justified by the quality and attention to detail. Relaxed friendly staff and a fair number of regulars on the Sunday lunch we visited speak to a restaurant which does a good job of delivering its offering. Recommended

Amazing waitress, lovely wine choice. Food more on the mediocre side, nothing wrong, just meh. Beef tartare was ok, foie gras was simple, the duck as a main was very run of mill standard. The atmosphere is a bit boring too. Just not there.

We had an excellent meal at Bistro Union. I had the foie gras and chicken liver pate which was amazing, so smooth and creamy followed by the lamb shank which was also excellent. There was a great selection of wines by the carafe too. Great friendly service too, we will definitely be back.

Came with my little boy on a Fri evening for our ‘date night’ and not been for quite a few years. Wow. What a gorgeous local gem. Totally fabulous food and service was exemplary. A lovely restaurant, food and drinks were all fabulous and the staff really make it feel like a great experience. Nothing was too difficult. We shared the steak and one of our party likes well done steak. They took a portion of the steak and cooked it more for her. No judgement, no raised eyebrows, they just wanted her to have the food how she preferred it. Thank you team for making it such an enjoyable evening. We’ll all be back.

Very disappointing. Service was good but two of our main courses had to be sent back as main ingredient (fish) was expired and this was obvious from the taste. We weren’t offered anything as compensation. Wouldn’t recommend.

Decided to visit Union Bistro following a recommendation by its sister restaurant The Trinity. A good place to go for locals but probably not worth the journeys we undertook (Teddington and Wimbledon Village) as there are similar options much closer to home.

We had a great experience at Bistrot Union today! The service is five star, people are friendly, accommodating and professional. They listen a lot and can give effective suggestions. Most importantly they offer free amazing bread and butter to start with 🤤 The food is nothing but superlative as in any Trinity's venue. Fair price and top quality. We recommend having a main and a dessert; it turned out to be enough for lunch. The couple costs 38£ excluding service charge. The wine list is rich, full of fairly priced options. The house wine selection is great enough and gives the flexibility of having a 500ml instead of a liter, for more moderated sundays ;) South London vibes all over the place!

It’s flexible enough to fit any mood or occasion. We went a bit wild and did both. Snacks included delicious comté gougères and brown crab arancini. Homemade bread and whipped butter was so good that we asked for a second round. For starter, the chicken liver & foie gras parfait was Michelin quality, and the burrata la latteria with romanesco and chilli was like a bowlful of spring. Mains were rabbit in mustard sauce and duck confit. Both were perfectly done. The rabbit falling off the bone and the mustard sauce well balanced with sharpness and creaminess. We were too full for dessert. But Bistro Union really delivered — with fantastic bistro-style food and in bringing us together over their delicious dishes.

Great food - beef tartar is just amazing, as well as the mains (quail one and monkfish). Even bread and butter are top class

Great option in Clapham and sister restaurant for the Trinity. The service was great and food was excellent. If you get the dessert, the basque cheesecake was fantastic! Only star knocked off is because there was no indication on the website that Sunday's have a 'Sunday Lunch' menu (roast). We were looking forward to the normal menu so was slightly disappointed - however the food was still great!

Loved our Saturday night out here. Food was amazing and service was very attentive without being overbearing. Had the duck special and it was cooked to perfection. Wines(red and white )were extremely tasty and complemented the meals very well
