A great pub, and a proper pub at that. It's one of those few places that has kept its character and the essence of a real pub, whilst also being clean, fresh and well looked after. The team is great and the management has really whipped things into shape over the past year. We've brought a lot of people in over the past few years, and they've all loved it too.

Tina has been wonderful great customer service. All the staff are very nice and kind. The food is also excellent. I’ve come back 3 times in one week!

We booked prior to our visit. On arrival, we were directed to our table which had been reserved with my name. We perused the menu and chose meals from the Sunday lunch menu. The food was delicious and rather substantial considering how very reasonably priced the set menu was. All staff were knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. We were asked immediately on ordering if anyone in our party had allergies and there wasn’t a long wait for our food to arrive, it was beautifully presented and piping hot! The establishment itself was tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable. We never once felt rushed. After our meal, we took the opportunity to sit outside with our drinks, there are plenty of shaded areas to sit under as well as the usual outdoor picnic style seating. Overall, The Duck In The Pond is a great little spot for a meal with friends or family, staff are welcoming and inviting, it’s value for money and well worth a visit!

We went to the Duck in the Pond for my birthday dinner. Table was reserved with my name. Staff were very friendly and polite, even wishing me a happy birthday. Loved the food, I am a picky eater and they catered for my tastes very well. I had the hunters chicken schnitzel which was lovely and the vegan cheesecake is to die for! Lovely atmosphere and will definitely be visiting with my family again.

Met up with family who were over from it Ireland for a family funeral ...although it was a sad occasion the atmosphere in the pub was just right. We ordered food which was delicious, car parking is free staff were friendly 👌 just an all round lovely pub and would most definitely go back . Highly recommended 👍

Nice on a hot day to sit outside and eat

First off the food was really surprisingly expensive. Secondly, the food took FOREVER to come. We went in and ordered before 8, at 8:30 a member of staff came to inform us that under 18s had to leave at 9. I informed him we hadn’t received any food yet and had just received our drinks (ordered on the app). At 9:05 the food came out. We were eating and another member of staff, maybe the manager (looked like a wannabe Post Malone) came and very rudely and stroppily told us we needed to leave now. some of us still had food in our mouths. We explained what had happened and that we were literally finishing our mouthful of drinks and bit of food we had left (which we had paid just under £100 for, for 2 adults and 2 kids!!!!) when he started ranting that multiple members of staff had told us to leave at 9… I cut him off and said we had only spoken to one member of staff and hadn’t seen or spoken to anyone since receiving our food. He was VERY rude and confrontational. The conversation/ argument that ensued from him took longer than it would’ve for us to finish up and leave. He made it clear he wasn’t apologising for the food being late, as I said “thank you for your apology for the slow service” to which he replied “that’s not what I’m saying that’s not the point”. We 100% will not be returning. We’ve had two terrible experiences here, and even though the food was 100% better this time, the service was just as shocking.

Terrible food, but helpful staff

It's an Ember Inn, a child-friendly venue in a nondescript area on the Harrow Weald/Stanmore borders. Put another way, it serves a vital purpose in the life of the local area, but it will never be a must-go destination for those living outside its catchment area. Lucky you, Harrow Weald folk, to have somewhere to go to in your spare time. Stanmore itself has nowhere now, unless you want to live on curry.

I went to duck in the pond with my cousin and friend we had the most delicious steak done just how we all wanted it .witch was different for everyone. And the drinks are good with great choice . Staff very friendly and helpful. Great beer garden family friendly. Also great prices for booking party's.

This was the first pub we went to when we got to England. I wouldn't say it was an authentic pub experience (I grew up in England) but the drinks and food were top notch. It was low key when we went (before 9pm because we had a minor with us). The roasted chicken was lovely. Overall a wonderful experience. I would definitely go again!!

How lovely to be served at the bar by happy helpful staff.Then after ordering food I was overwhelmed with how good the food was.Usually as a vegetarian I get substandard meals.I don.t eat in pubs as a rule because the food is rubbish.But I was pleasantly surprised.I asked who the chefs were so well done Lucas and Tyler.Narin Rahul was the most attentive waiter and server ever.He took time to ask what the occasion was for our meal out.And shared with us some of his personal background.I have come home happy and full and will share my great experience with everyone I know.Thanks to the Staff of Duck in the Pond Harrow.

I visit The Duck In The Pond about once a month for Sunday lunch. There is always a nice unhurried atmosphere and their Beef rib is spectacularly good!! Their menu is extensive and I’ve never made a bad choice. Also, I’d like to thank Katie who, although having only recently started at the restaurant, was very friendly, efficient and welcoming. I highly recommend The Duck In The Pond.

Service was 10/10 was served by Lewis and Ella and both were super friendly and helpful and worked great together! The Guinness was on point with a perfect shamrock, never had a better Guinness in my life! Would definitely recommend and the two servers were fab! Will be back.

I've not been for a number of years but heard it's under new management. I didn't recognise the place, the beer was great, the food was fantastic and the toilets were immaculate. I found the staff mega friendly but professional. I will go again soon.

Was really disappointed with the service. Have been here numerous times and always had a positive experience. This time my friend was served his food and l got mine over 20 minutes later. Defeats the idea of having lunch together. Wasn’t even given an apology to say sorry about the wait

Very fair priced drinks, manager is very nice and also very hawt, his brother though is abit lacking in the looks department. Staff is very nice and friendly. Highly recommend as a place to eat and drink on a Friday and Saturday night.

Always enjoy our visits to Duck in the Pond. Bar staff helpful and friendly. Good choice of Ales to try and other drinks. Food always delicious from a full Sunday Roast to a litebite of a sandwich. Comfortable and good service to enjoy anytime of the day.

Tried the beef and red wine lasagne — delicious! Comes with a side salad and garlic bread. The ambience is great and the staff are very friendly. They did ask for my ID which made me feel very young, haha. Overall, very positive experience! Will definitely come back for a pint.

A nice family pub. However, I've noticed that the selection of ales has reduced over the last year. Also, what has happened to the food service in the last few weeks? A minimum wait of 1 hour for your food to be served. Hopefully, this situation will get better as the pub grub here is good. Get these things fixed and you have a really good boozer again. March 2024 update - My first time back in here for ages. Much better food service, my order came within 15 minutes. Well done for the improvement! 👍🏾

It's the ideal place to take or simply join friends for lunch or dinner. It has a large varied menu to suit all tastes and the drinks selection is exceptional, very good wine. Last October I sadly held my dear husband's wake there and they did me and my family proud. An extra shout out to Tina who was so kind and helpful at that sad time. Please stay as good as you've become.

We booked and arranged a buffet for 30+ people after my dad's funeral. It could not have been more perfect. The area was ready for us even though we arrived slightly early. The buffet was lovely and great selection for everyone. Everyone commented how much they enjoyed the food. Thankyou to everyone at Duck In Pond for looking after us xxx

Cute touch to include chocolates with the tea/coffee - something you’d expect in a artsy cafe, so was impressed! Highly recommend if in the Harrow area - we will be back :)

Busy pub with limited parking space. Choice of food which is reasonable & one has got to be careful of not being overcharged for any drinks. 21.3.22 Management has changed & who need to become familiar with any offers being promoted on behalf of the pub! Friendly staff. 23.3.22 Apparently no staff to cook food & customers are kept waiting with dirty tables & bar! Unacceptable. No point in providing meal vouchers if they can't be used! Ridiculous. 17.7.22 Tasty duo roast lunch served on Sunday by friendly staff. Toilets 🚻 need to be kept clean & smelling fresh. 22.11.22 & 28.2.23 Tasty food served by friendly staff in ambient surroundings. Some items on the menu were not available! 29.4.33 The tables need cleaning & clearing up, as do the toilets! Bright & lively atmosphere. 22.11.23 Tasty food served by friendly staff in a clean environment, however, the stinking toilets 🚻 & corridors need cleaning & freshening up! 6.3.24 Tasty food served by friendly staff in a cosy atmosphere. However , the toilets & corridor are overcome by the overpowering stench of urine!

We have previously ordered takeaway, but we decided it is time to visit the place. Parking was free, food was delicious. We ordered calamari and nacos as a starters, Sunday roast with gammon and chicken and a desert. The staff was very friendly and food was truly amazing. I liked the atmosphere and we will definitely visit again. Another must go to place in Harrow !

Very pleasant pub, very well located in the town of Harrow. You can spend a very pleasant time there in a friendly atmosphere both by taking advantage of the tables inside to eat or drink or also by taking advantage of the spaces set up outside. The prepared dishes are very good.

20 minutes to take order at the bar...Main meal took 75 minutes to arrive and cutlery a further 10 minutes, avoid at all cost. Insufficient staff employed! New staff now and food has improved considerably. Much more enjoyable. Visited again, and staff were efficient and helpful. Food was great 👍

Great place for food. The giraffe in particular made us all laugh! I loved the pineapple and pork sandwiches best. James the manager is very good at accents and did a great impression of Simon cowell. Excellent!
