Royal Oak in Harrow

A very beautiful restaurant, with excellent cuisine and a well-thought-out interior. I really like how they cook here and in general, relaxing here.

Great pub very nearly and good food. Located in a prime spot besides the popular St George's Shopping Centre, Central Harrow and at the end of St Anne's Road and Precinct, the Royal Oak by Greene King is a fantastic place to spend five minutes or five hours. With a fresh, clean, pandemic friendly interior of LED TVs for live sports, BOSE sound system and sunny pub garden exterior, every preference and occasion can be accounted for.

Had the Sunday roast for two and very good food and service

We always visit when we are in the area. Great place for a meet up and chat. The atmosphere is always very inviting and they make you feel so relaxed. The food is excellent as well as the service. Nothing is too much trouble. We had the flat iron steak, was so good didn’t want it finish.

My partner and I had a quite spot of lunch there and it was really lovely! The barmaid was really friendly and helpful! Food was delicious, very quick service and clean! We will definitely be back again! Especially when we heard there's quiz night on Wednesday!

We have been refused a hot drink with the explanation "we don't have time to wash the cups". Appalling to say the least

The staff we dealt with were not particularly friendly, and what seemed every order, threw empty bottles into a big bin at the back of the bar making a very loud crashing noise. Came across as aggressive and unnecessary especially mid afternoon when it's not that busy and families around. It's situated on the busy pedestrian highstreet so you can people watch, but bear in mind like the rest of the town there is litter everywhere.

Bad management. Enjoyed this pub for many years and then a very aggressive woman (customer) changed all that. No manager should make false accusations to a customer when they are only ever polite to every one they meet. Thanks.

James is the best bar tender there is!... and again

Not been here for couple of years decided to pop in with friend today for couple of drinks. Firstly no fosters or carlsberg. Went to mens toilet floor covered in water thankfully didn't fall over as got sprained ankle. Mentioned it to barmaid said she is only one on shift so have to wait until another colleague joins her.

Perfect service clean quiet beer are crystal cold and prices are logical thanks for everything we gonna come back for sure👍❄️😁💯💯💯

The food was delicious….specially the katsu chicken burger….i have tried burger from many places but here it was the best…and all food..the ambience was soooo aesthetic and beautiful…i spent my happy hour ….must visit ….all staff were soooo amazing…..

Absolutely amazing place used for many years Gen z staff ut hearts of gold don't abuse them please help replace broken pool tips, enjoy friendly banter the security is amazing the doorman was a gentleman and a scholar I always use this place toilets were nasty though avoid the the mens cubicles it needed inter continental ballistic missiles to sort out that Spaghetti junction.

I’ve been to this place a couple of times now, and I must say the staff are always very friendly. Recently, I visited and noticed the decor was lovely, especially with the Christmas setup – it really created a cute and festive atmosphere. However, if I could offer one piece of advice, it would be to focus on deep cleaning. A thorough clean would really enhance the overall appeal and help maintain the charm of this already cute place. Despite this, overall, I had a good experience and will likely return.

A typical English bar, ordering and payment is done through self-service at the bar. As always, payment in advance is normal in England. The food is brought to the table... here too, typically English... but good! I will come again...

More food off the menu than on it , disappointed

Old style decoration friendly service

I just came 30 min ago and order babecu chicken .l always come here with my friends we always order barbecue chicken and always get right food .This time l ordered again the guy bring wrong food and was saying l ordered wrong one and the way he was talking with me so rude ,arrogant was saying make sure you order right food next time l tried to explained him that we always come here and ordered same one never had wrong one .He didn't even bother to listen to me .l paid 14.99 and didn't eat nothing and didn't get nothing. We were always coming her as a big group and spend lot of money .We will not come again .This is ridiculous 🙄

The Royal Oak has quickly become one of my all-time favorite pubs, and my dad and I keep coming back for more! We went for lunch yesterday, and as always, it didn’t disappoint. The pub has a dark, slightly gloomier atmosphere that I absolutely love—it’s cozy, inviting, and the perfect setting for a relaxed meal. The staff are always friendly and add to the warm vibe. I had the mac and cheese with a side of garlic bread, and my dad had the bacon beef cheeseburger. Both meals were excellent! The mac and cheese was hands down the highlight for me—rich, creamy, and full of flavor. Honestly, I’d die for that mac and cheese! Portion size was just right, and it was wonderfully filling. My dad’s burger was juicy and tender, served with perfectly fried fries. The only tiny hiccup was the onion rings, which were slightly under-done for my taste, but that’s just a personal preference. The only downside to our visit was the wait for food, especially considering the pub wasn’t particularly busy. But other than that, everything else was spot on, as always. The Royal Oak will definitely continue to be a go-to spot for us!

I have been to this pub a few times now, and decided to finally give it a rating after having seen the quality of service multiple times. The food is alright, and is served shortly after ordering, however if you use the app, the food might not show up until you go to the bar and ask for it. Me and my friends went here recently and were met with a rude waitress who was not interested in helping out, which really downgraded our experience. On top of this, when we ordered our next round of drinks, it never came. We went to the bar, saw the same waitress step aside upon seeing us and another waiter was asked for our order, who picked the receipt hanging from their printer. It was clear the waitress had purposefully neglected our order. On top of this attitude and service, they turned up the volume of the speakers close to our table. It has also been too hot inside this pub. We walked out and went to a much, much better one in the same area. Never coming back here again. The service and attitude have mostly been consistently bad with the exception of perhaps one bartender who we thought was nice. (Based on our experiences of over 3 visits recently).

This was a lovely pub that accommodated a small wedding party for us. It was lunchtime, and they kindly warned us the kitchen was closing soon. They had a little table I didn't get to use! Very lovely pub, just let down by the horrible ladies toilet. A few were out of service, one was blocked up, and the only one working was full of flies. The food was okay. I liked my scampi. I was disappointed the steak sandwich I wanted was sold out. Other than that, the atmosphere was very friendly at this pub, and the service was brilliant.

Was served by James and later Susie. The staff here are fantastic and look after you. We are on our way to a gig tonight so needed to sit down before. Cannot recommend this pub enough

Great food and excellent service

Poor customer service, rude manager who refused to give her name, she was very hostile overall. She refused to give me any information to give an accurate complaint but I would not want to come back to a “manager” who is bluntly rude and unprofessional!

Poor customer service, not understanding or considerate of children of SEN, I explained my daughter had a disability so that is why she was next to a slot machine but the manager persisted insensitively. I find it highly wrong that a manager should behave in such a way in regards to a child let alone a child of SEN. I work as a manager in hospitality and wouldn’t dream of treating someone like that! Also they clearly have showing on their online menu that they have kids menu but when I asked the cashier she asked the rude manager spoken about above and she said we don’t do it and when I asked why she said because they all have the same menu which to me again does not make any sense seeing as I clearly selected the Harrow menu. I won’t be coming back to such a place! The lady refused to give any details as she clearly knows her attitude was poor!

Royal Oak is a Greene King Pub in Harrow. Very nice and lively. I have come here a few times. The staff are really good too. They come and ask few times if everything is okay. They even made my food the way I told them. I can always come again in future. Thank You.

Blimey wat an establishment we ‘ave ‘ere!

Food was mediocre and the drinks were over priced. The bathrooms were dreadful and is usually indicative that the back of the house is disgusting. Only one working urinal and one working toilet. For what they charged you figure they could’ve spent some of it on fixing it up. Probably won’t be back.

I'm from Canada. Come to London every year and always visit the Royal oak because love everything about the place.

To James, my dearest bartender. You served us with the upmost respect. My partner and I were planning on buying only 2 tequila shots, but man like James, managed to upsell us 12 tequila shots! This is a pub within a shopping centre complex, its own courtyard dining and drinking area but, somehow, without that enclosed, its own little world feel which characterises most good pubs. Okay, quibble out the way, myself and friends all enjoyed ourselves at the Royal Oak after a long day invigilating a local polls count. Good selection of ales and lagers and a more imaginative menu of pub food than the average. In short, if fate finds you in Harrow town centre, worn out and seeking sustenance , pop into this friendly, unassuming, hostelry. If you can avoid Harrow town centre, of course, you've proved yourself lucky once again!

Came in for some food , and we got the salad assuming this would be typical pub food but it was honestly the best salad I’ve ever had. Highly recommend the food here . I told the bar staff I don’t eat carbs so the chef accommodated to me which was really appreciated. Definitely will be going back!

Been meeting at this huge pub with a regular group for some years. Service has always been very good and the food has hugely improved in the last year or so. It’s sometimes noisy (when a big footie match is on TV) but has a friendly atmosphere and a large, good, off-road seating area outside in the pedestrianised shopping area.

Always great service and friendly staff. The outside area is nice. Yoni is always welcoming and she remembers my order. Yoni and the other staff are always great at collecting empty glasses and cleaning the tables as well.

My safe place to relax after a long day at work. Staff are great and very friendly and make an effort to know their good clients. Appreciate thier efforts to keep trouble makers from disturbing their clients and good a clean location too.

Came in to give the food a try as we were hungry to start with, food was absolute heaven. We had the bacon & cheese burger and the beyond meat burger. Presentation was on-point. I had a Guinness with a little surprise on top (a 4 leave clover) never seen this before. The service was astounding. We will be back 5star from to

Overpriced - How can you justify charging central London prices in Harrow - pints £6.50 really? Doesn't make sense.

Went for lunch here - 10 people. They've run out of fish, chicken and beef. Menue was so restricted it wasn't worth thr effort!

Today we went to get cocktails and they were SO BAD. Literally the most watery and flavorless coctails I have ever had. Kindly told them about it and they could not care less. I’m not exaggerating.

Have frequented this place a lot! Love their cocktails and vibes! For food I am extremely fond of their chicken wings,cod goujons and karge sticky chicken. Cocktails-extremely live their old fashioned and caramel apple. Most of the time they have some offers going on so you can check the greene king app!

Got told on the door kids out by 9pm but when inside was refused a table for food as kids had to be out by 8pm and it was 7.50pm only wanted to have some food then was leaving but was REFUSED AVOID!!!!

Best pub in Harrow. Milli was exceptional on my visit, really helpful and friendly. The Christmas decorations were so nice, made such a nice atmosphere! Great food and drinks, will definitely be coming back for the karaage chicken.

We had a great time celebrating the end of the year with family. Food was yummy, children were welcome and everyone enjoyed the party. Kudos to Milly, Yoni and the nice dude with glasses who treated us with crackers and were very nice!

I visited this pub a couple of months ago during the moretti promotion and found the service provided by the tall bearded man behind the bar to be extremely rude. I ordered a moretti and turned my phone to the bartender to present them with my qr code to then be insulted by them. In a passive aggressive voice he looked at me and said “oh, you have a code”, “you need to say that you have a code”, “basic communication skills”. For your information, I had been working an extremely late shift, and furthermore, body language is registered more than speaking, I’m holding my phone in front of you as I’m clearly presenting you with something, a valid authenticated for that matter. I used to enjoy visiting this pub prior to my visit even though it was always full of undesirable low class types as it was the only pub in town with Estrella on tap but I guess I’ll just stick to getting a multipack from the offie.

Delicious fish and chips. Not eaten here before but stopped in while out shopping. Lovely and Christmassy inside. Ordered the fish and chips with mushy peas. Really light batter and good chips. Nice and clean and cosy and staff were very friendly. Will come again.

Sadly the place has gone down hill. It's not very clean. The food offering is poor. The service remains excellent 👌 and is the Pubs saving grace. The Manager seems to have a thing with tables and chairs. They are constantly moved about. Perhaps he could spend more time on cleaning, especially the windows. I tend to leave the food well alone.

I didn't have any food so i can't comment on it's quality but every time i have been to this pub one of the bar staff, i think her name is Beth, has been so helpful. Her manager Millie was also very helpful. From recommending drinks to just having a chat and engaging with myself and the people i was with i can tell that they have a strong work ethic and care about their customers. I would definitely reccomend.

I've been twice with my wife and once with our daughter. On both occasions the service was warm , friendly and professional. Its large and comfortable with a good range of food. I will visit again for sure.

Lovely pub, used to be my favourite in the area but whenever Beth is working I feel so unwelcome. Extremely miserable and makes me feel like an inconvenience for being there. Can feel the bad vibes literally radiating off her through the pub. Going downhill quickly.

Worst pub in harrow. Go to the junction for a similar but better vibe or the castle for a slightly more upper class vibe. Beth, the bartender was especially rude, condescending and patronising, after 5/6 years in the establishment, I believe it’s time for her to move on, her comments and attitude felt racially charged.

Shocking staff especially Beth, rude from the get go. Pub has absolutely no atmosphere and I would recommend The Junction Gaton Road.
