Small coffee shop with some nice unique bits for sale. Seemed popular with local cyclists and dog walkers. Nice stop off with family

No idea where JanetDenise was visiting - but in my, frequent, experience The Drays is a very welcoming place serving good food. JanetDenise must have been in a parallel universe. There is a clear notice asking visitors to order at the counter, so that the staff know you are there! If white cane users made themselves known, I am sure that appropriate help, large print menus (they are available, just ask!) and welcome efforts would have been forthcoming. I have certainly taken friends in wheel-chairs to The Drays - how, therefore, is it wheel-chair inaccessible? Pinch or two of salt needed here, methinks!

Inaccessible to wheelchair users. Fire exits not labelled but all doors out half obscured by Sales items. On entry a trip hazard as rubber insulation loose. All print very very small. Ignored by staff not advised to order at counter. As a white cane user I was not welcomed. Disability unaware and uncaring.

Very disappointed. Felt totally ignored had to wait while ladies were washing dishes. Nice surroundings but very unwelcoming. Ordered two teas but waited ages and then when it came it was a stewed teabag in a mug. Not even a pot! We'd obviously been forgotten and there were only two other people in the cafe and a few in the marquee so they were hardly busy. Won't return and won't recommend.

gorgeous setting, tasty coffee, and friendly staff. Although not a wide ranging choice food wise this works as there are no long waits and the quality is excellent plus it's a rare treat these days to find a cappuccino which is consistently good - not too milky or foamy and using great quality coffee from the jaunty goat in chester. With indoor and outdoor seating and parking right outside this cafe is well worth a visit - be sure to get there early on saturdays as it soon fills up...

A delightful little gem in the picturesque village of Eaton, near Tarporley. Well set out with outdoor benches and tables complementing the cosy interior of the cafe. Great views out over the Cheshire countryside. The reasonably-priced food and drink are excellent - a favourite is the Tuna and Cheddar Melt on ciabatta - and range from a wide range of cafe-type meals to coffee, tea and home-made cakes - and all served by a very friendly, knowledgeable staff. Plenty of off-road parking! We will definitely return - and frequently!

A lovely coffee shop in the heart of rural farm dairy country Cheshire. Gorgeous setting in an old historic set of farm buildings. Tasty coffee and baked goods served by the friendliest of proprietors. Art on the wall for sale. Ample parking. Eaton village is very picturesque as in Tarporley close by. Highly recommended.

Have passed this place on numerous occasions while staying at Holmston Hall, basic menu but good quality produce used. Have to say a little on the expensive side £1.80 for to rashes of bacon, however I would never complain unless the quality was poor. Only criticism the toast needed toasting more. Lovely setting and very nice staff gets us returning again soon

We had a lovely lunch here. The food, the ambience and the location were the perfect combination to while away a very pleasant hour. Broccoli and Stilton soup was delicious, toasties were tasty and the coffee excellent. The view over the meadows and fields was very soothing. A great addition to the local area.

Attended Saturday night quiz. Arrived at 7:00pm. Started with a glass of red wine and Mediterranean platter followed by a to die for cheesecake( all food freshly cooked by Jason ( chef ) and the team. Wolfed the cheese cake down and realised I hadn't took a picture. Had a few more vino's during the quiz along with some banter with Jason and the regular customers. All tables were booked and nice to see a full house. Made a change to the average Saturday night and will certainly do it again. Would recommend to call in prior for some brekky or lunch to book quiz any day before or on Saturday. Quiz moved on quicker than your normal pub quiz which was great with the light banter and no typical interruptions from pub scene. Didn't win the quiz but enjoyed trying.

Stumbled on this wonderful cafe as we were on our way home from a camping trip. The staff are incredibly friendly and were so welcoming and kind to my 5yo daughter. The food was amazing, we both had the breakfast and my daughter had a lunch box which she loved and I thought it was great value, when we went inside to pay we couldn't not buy one (or two) of the amazing cakes. So delicious. Thank you :)

Our favourite place to come for brunch after football. The team, as always, went above and beyond with the orders for our family (all with different dietary requirements). The boys had the classic big breakfast with local products at a great price. I tried the weekend special eggs Benedict and it was amazing. The boys filled their boots. The girls enjoyed new things. The doorstop toast alone is worth the visit. Sadly, no room for my favourite one the menu - parsnip cake, but the cake-away option meant I could enjoy it later. We brought a friend for their first visit and she was blown away.

Not religious at all but like other reviewers found this true OASIS when looking for refreshment in Chester Just great, lovely staff and clientele and great quality and value coffee and cakes... Interesting selection of books, gifts, cards etc Would use regularly if we lived locally Staff say they may have to relocate soon due to "commercial development of the site" Surely the Church which is not short of funds can provide an alternative venue for this wonderful place which probably does more for spreading the religious message than many more traditional churches etc...something in the Cathedral Precinct maybe?? Good luck to you all and God bless ( if it helps)
