So disappointed called up to make a booking for 13 people we was told we would be split on two different tables because they are short staffed well there’s lots of people crying out for weekend work older teenagers begging for cash in hand work but nope they won’t employ anyway they actually was happy for us to cancel our table because they would not let us sit together further more we was the only ones in the restaurant it was completely dead!!!!!! Food was ok they waiter kept getting the hump because asking for more curry sauce because it wasn’t enough overall poor service

My friend and I are here on business and will be in a hotel for 7 weeks here.. got a bit of cabin fever so decided to venture out for tea tonight and it ended up the best decision. Decided on set menu A and it was all incredible. Back home I normally stick with my favourite Chinese takeaway as I end up disappointed by others and end up comparing. All these dishes were to die for. I've never had chicken and sweetcorn soup before but I was pleasantly surprised it's delicious 😋. Will definitely be adding that to my orders in the future. All dishes top notch. Staff really friendly and accommodating. Will be back before we go home

Two of us for a Meal-rice and noodles were fine ,the crispy shredded chilli beef was Luke warm brittle and tasted burnt Returned the dish and said this really isn’t good and explained why -no offer of a replacement no apology no refund just told will go in bin 😂 Male waiter /manager quite surly and appeared miserable !

Excellent meal here for a Birthday celebration, huge portions and served hot. The beef in my oyster sauce dish was flavoursome and tender, delicious chow mien with that distinctive soy wok taste. Excellent meal

Was really looking forward to coming here to meet up with family and for a birthday. We had 3 children 1 nearly 3 years old and at the start the staff were lovely but after a while they became anxious and overbearing and the level of hospitality dropped considerably. Disappointed with the attitude of the OLDER staff and at the end I asked for fortune cookies and was told NO and I also asked about shots and was also told NO by an older gentleman member of staff. We spent nearly £250 here and expect more from staff especially when most of the tables were empty but maybe that explains why tables were so empty. Choose better staff and people will feel more welcome and want to return!

Visited Dragon Palace on Saturday 11th June 22. Disappointed is an understatement, haven’t been here in a long while but my god it’s really gone down hill. A party of 7 we weren’t allowed to have a lazy Susan in the middle of the table as there was only 7 of us & not 8 ! Come on the place wasn’t even busy , this meant we all had to reach over each other for food . Had the £23 per person menu this has now been restricted to how many dishes you can order according to the amount of people eating. Decor is drab & needs a complete overhaul, I think the fact that apart from our table the place was empty by 9.30 says it all . Such a shame this place used to be heaving .

Had an excellent meal here last night, £23pp you get roasted duck n pancakes, mix starters, soup and a choice of 4 main dishes, you can order more if you finish a dish. Great portions, from wok to table so nice n hot, full of flavour. This is the only sit down Chinese cooked to order on the island and may it continue as so many Chinese restaurants are buffet and don’t compare to this. They also offer A al carte. Superb!

Food was HOT and cooked to order. We when for À la cart, good choice of food for the price. When for the duck and starter then full on for the many dishes for main meal. Good selection of drinks too

Food is ok but attitude is not. Very rude woman telling me off as I was picking my take away up and had my dog with me. Told me I should I left my dog in the pub. The place was empty and I was the only customer. It took 30 seconds to pick up my food but she said I should have waited outside! There is no sign saying dogs are not allowed and if it’s a food & hygiene issue then she might want to revise the basics and tell the staff to stop eating food with their fingers in the kitchen. You have just lost a customer because of your stinking attitude which was totally unnecessary.

Having had a nice meal here recently we decided to treat ourselves again. The restaurant was very busy which in the times we are in was great to see. We once again opted for the £20pp set meal, prawn crackers, duck n pancakes, mix starters, soup and choice of 4 main dishes. All were excellent. We washed this down with a bottle of house white. The food was excellent as was the service and the restaurant had a real buzz about it. Excellent

No been here for many years, was a regular under the ownership/management of Charlie Lamb. Here’d mixed reviews but decided to give the place another visit, the restaurant was quiet busy on our visit which was good to see, we were greeted and seated promptly, given paper menus, one was all you can eat (with limits I must add) the other Ala carte, now as I said at the start under the management of Mr Lamb the menus were encased in proper menu covers not just printed on A4! The restaurant is obviously going for a much more seat,Order, eat, leave route. We opted for “all you can eat” and a bottle of wine, food came promptly duck with pancakes then mix starters then soup and then our 4 main dishes. The food I have to say was of very good quality, hot, reasonable sized portions and very flavoursome and for what you pay good value. To sum up, this restaurant may not be aiming for the more high end diner as once did but for a plateful of Chinese of good quality at a reasonable price you can’t go wrong.

Since Moving to Minster on sea I have had Many take aways From The Dragon absolutely the Best Cantonese Food I have tasted on a friday and Saturday evening there is a Long line of people Down Minster Road Try there crispy pancake Rolls Wow Fabulous. As a person who loves Chinese I can not recommend not getting a takeaway from here. Me abs my partner stayed in leysdown having a relaxed weekend that was well needed. After drinks on the Friday night, I love nothing better on a Saturday with a minor hangover, ordering a Chinese it is my ritual. Having had this Chinese when we spent the weekend just before COVID I was really looking forward to it and didn’t mind the 20 minute drive to sheerness to get it. Got home, dished up all ready for Britain’s got talent, tucked in. And threw it in the bin. Never have I ever even having a rare few bad Chinese’s threw one away. The watery taste, the off smell and sloppy mess we had was not worth the 35 pound I had spent. And like I said I have had a fair few bad ones. Ended up driving back that way and had a burger kings instead. Absolutely livid!

Managed to get a table on a Friday night just as we had arrived in sheerness for a week's holiday. It was booked for 8.30 but they rang at 7.45 to say they had a table free. Staff very attentive and extremely friendly. We ordered the wrong bottle of wine but they were quick to replace it without charging for it. Food was delicious. Loved the atmosphere. Well worth a visit!

I have to say,this has to be the worst Chinese restaurant I have ever visited and eaten in! Come on guys! It’s your livelihood,it’s so drab,not very welcoming at all. We were seated,then along came a few prawn crackers,you know most restaurants give a basket! No! Just a small plate with a very on. We ordered. Service was quick,I ordered barbecued ribs, what came was ribs with this red sauce? I take it was sweet and sour? I thought Ok,they were Ok. Then this chicken satee came,which I thought would come on skewers,but didn’t,that looked Ok. Then next came chicken chop suey now this looked so animic and also arrived was the stir-fried mixed vegetables which looked like the chop suey! Now the only good dish that came we’re the Singapore noodles,but other from that,visually it’s was awful,I like Chinese food for its taste and it’s colour! This had neither,I don’t think much pride was put into these dishes, and the Chinese roast pork! It was slice pork with this red liquid poured over it. Now if this is the best Chinese on sheppy,then don’t go!

Since I was a child we have been getting takeaways and having meals at The Dragon, the service and quality of the food has never faltered. Their deep fried icecream is fantastic and they perfectly accommodate large families/functions. The staff are polite and courteous.

My family have been using this takeaway and restaurant for years. It's the best chinese on the island and no other Chinese comes close to it

Food lacked flavour and very bland since changing staff and cooks they have in my opinion gone from best to worst takeaway on sheppey, which is a shame as you could always rely on their dishes

I had the misfortune of visiting the Dragon Palace recently for a family take away (ordered over the phone). Paid for and picked up the food. When we got home we soon discovered around 25% of our ordered and paid for food wasn't present in the bag. I checked the rest and found most of the meat dishes to be raw. I called up to see if they'd resolve the issues, and was barked at down the phone in an agressive gibberish. I then turned up with my bags of overpriced rubbish and was told that I hadnt ordered the missing items... I asked the woman to check her records as id paid over £60 for this displeasure so far. She agreed they had messed up. Then told her I'd rather get my money back and go somewhere I'd have less chance of contracting the corona the woman on desk went mad! I ended up threatening to call the police over the fact of her effectivly stealing from me! I then after lots of swearing got my food all remade. I won't be returning to eat here, ever. I hope others don't either!

Had only been once before and wasnt that impressed, however this time was lovely, its a relaxed atmosphere which is lovely. Good food, plenty of it and lots of choice, will be going back

First time having a meal at the Dragon Palace, the staff were very friendly and accommodating and the food was delicious so I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who fancies a Chinese meal on Sheppey.

Took the Mrs and daughter last weekend, busy but not too busy to give the same excellent table service and keep the food and drink flowing!

Good quality, friendly service. We went there with other members of the family and had a great meal. We shared a whole range of dishes. There was plenty to go around and the price is reasonable.

Back at our favourite Chinese Restaurant this evening with the family. We live in Norwich and this is our 15th visit in 20 months!!!Staff are friendly, prices are reasonable and the quality of the food is always consistently very good. We love the ‘buffet’ menu (food is served to the table so not a buffet in its usual sense’). Duck pancakes, soup, then a whole range of more delicious starters. Mains is a choice of dishes to share. You even get dessert as part of the price, though we are usually very full by then. Charlie, Ray and the team are fantastic.See you again soon

Ordered food from this miserable dirty looking place. Got home. Half my food was missing and what I did have was uncooked. I returned with my food and was told that i was racist for coming back and that I would not get my money back. I left after calling the services for fraud, in effect having been thieved for my hard earned money. I will never return. And nope that no other people have to deal with this appalling excuse for a Chinese takeaway. Rude and nasty staff, even worse food.

Didn't know were to go,so we chose the dragon palace,as a friend recommended it to us, the food was plentiful, and so tasty. And there deep fried ice cream is amazing, you must try it.

Was told to try this out as it was very good. Not disappointed. Infact I would say it was better than most restaurants in London's China Town. If you are ever in Minster go try it.

Been here loads of times and thought I’d leave a review. The staff are very attentive and can’t fault them whatsoever. If I did have to pick at fault it would be drink pricing but you take the rough with the smooth. Great food alround and never leave with an empty stomach. Would recommend anybody to go wether it’s take away or for a meal.

I have been visiting this restaurant for many years now and have always had great food from them, there are many options if you are vegetarian or even vegan. The service is always exceptional, friendly greetings and always willing to accommodate dietary issues.

Never had a problem with the quality of the food but I found a lump of meat which looked like beef in my vegetable curry. Wouldn’t go back so if you are vegetarian or vegan you should definitely avoid the dragon palace!!

Popped in for a takeaway from this place and wasn’t disappointed. Was surprised as they have a separate section for dining and separate one for takeaway. Suggestions from the lady at the counter were good and the food ordered was handed over to us fast too. Generous portion sizes too. Would surely recommend.

First try was the take away food was so good we went back the next day for the restaurant, as expected the quality very good.every dish was freshly cooked and steaming hot.

This place is very busy and the food is good you will have to wait for the food has it's so busy but worth the wait

Had the huge share buffet with a group of friends called the Sheppey Red Hatters. What a bounty of food and so delicious..with spices and colours the meat melted in your mouth. The fried coconut dreams is scrumptious...

As normal service great food superb. One of the best restaurants on the island, certainly the best sit down Chinese!

Half way to Sheerness, on Isle of Sheppey, seems nothing ever had been changed since it’s open 30-40 years ago. The manager and staffs are more friendly than in London, not hungry so not having anything this time, this is the only traditional Chinese restaurant on the island. The other one is a new buffet, newer settings on Sheerness high street called Raise Oriental Buffett.

In my opinion this is the best Chinese on the island with some distance between it's competitor's.

The standard of the food and the service was excellent. Service with a smile could have been coined for this place. The food was served quickly and tasted delicious . If I return to the Isle again I will definitely pay another visit.

Ordered a takeaway from here and was not disappointed. The food was ready very quickly, reasonably priced and it was excellent. One of the nicest Chinese meals I've had and they were good portions. Will definitely use again.

Can not fault this even if I tried. Food, service of the highest quality. Would recommend this to anyone. Staff are so friendly and understanding. 10/10

We have been going to Dragon Palace for years. we have had many family meals, birthday parties and just a evening meal. The food is fantastic and nothing is to much trouble for the staff.The Dragon Palace is well known for miles around and is something not not to be missed.

In Sheerness visiting from South Yorkshire and checked out the restaurants reviews. Decided to book a table. From the moment we arrived to the time we left the service was great. We ate the set menu which at 17.50 is excellent value. After eating duck and the starters, we decided to choose only 3 main courses out of 4, and it's good job we did! All food was exceptionally cooked, tasty and hot but so filling. We didn't even manage the desert If we are in the area again we will definitely put this at the top of our list to book. Nigel & Jane

This is a great takeaway attached to the restaurant which we have driven past regularly, but never stopped....accept for today!

The set menu is expensive, but it is the best Chinese food for a 20 mile radius. Have the duck pancakes, then starters, then soup, then your main courses before you go for dessert. It was fabulous food but the service was very slow

We are staying in the area and decided to have a takeaway in the caravan. The premises are clean and the food was delicious. Excellent.

Again another fantastic meal as always. The sizzling beef with peppercorn sauce was recommended and is now my husbands favourite dish!! Friendly staff, fresh cooked food, wonderful atmosphere, can't fault this place at all.

We visited Dragon Palace whilst holidaying in the area. It was the kids first taste of chinese food and they both enjoyed it. The all you can eat menu was perfect as we were given crisy duck (which my son loved) followed by hot hors d'ouevres and then got to select main dishes which were cooked to order. Food was lovely and very good value. We were all full at the end, altough we did manage to finish with ice cream and fortune cookies! Staff were polite and friendly and even though it was a Tuesday night the place was packed, probably best to book in advance on a busier night. Overall, would definately recommend

Really enjoyed having dinner at dragon palace the food was lovely. The staff where very polite. Best to phone and book cause you can't be guaranteed a table as it gets very busy, especially at the weekends.

I found it easy to park over the road from the restaurant and once inside I was met with a friendly smile and although they were extremely busy was seated immediately. I expected a long wait but this was not the case and my starter of bread crumbed. prawns was excellent. I followed this with a roast duck chowmein and a coffee. Every table seemed full with family parties from the very young who were given high chairs to ancients like me who had full attention from family style staff well done.

This restaurant offers a 'eat as much' buffet for £17.99 per person (as of April 2017). The first course is crispy duck followed by a selection of mixed hors d'oeuvre's. The portions are extremely generous, so make sure you save some room for the Mains! They advise that for 2 people you order 4 dishes from the Main Menu, and if you clear your plates you can order more dishes. The food was delicious and brought to your table straight from the wok so it is all freshly cooked and piping hot. We had a good go at clearing our plates but with such large portions we were never going to succeed and we had to pass on the dessert menu! The staff are very efficient and friendly and keen to make the customer comfortable and relaxed. This was our second time of visiting to eat the buffet menu, but next time we will try the a la carte menu. We went on a Friday evening and had pre booked. The restaurant was full and we would not have got a table if we had not booked. Very popular at the weekends!

Another great meal! We are always made very welcome every time we come to eat. Staff are great, food as ever was excellent. Crispy lemon chicken was delicious, paper wrapped prawns are my favourite, generous portion sizes, another delicious meal. Best Chinese on the island in my opinion.

My husband and I ate here last night , just popped in ,we had no resavation but they were able to fit us in even though they were quite busy .Staff were friendly and helpful but not pushy .Food was served hot, freshly cooked and far more than I could eat ! Variety, plenty to choose from so there should be no problem for fussy eaters . Will definitely visit again preferably with friends that can eat more than me .

We ate here yesterday ,just popped in and they were able to fit us in even though they were quite busy ,Friendly staff ,lovely ,fresh ,hot cooked food and plenty of it ! We will certainly return again hopefully with friends or family that can eat more than I do .

As I live on the island, I have visited a number of times from as far back as my 18th birthday. Now in my 40's it Is still a great place to eat cantonese food.They have set menus for a set price or alé carte menu, something to suit all tastes and budgets. The food is always hot and fresh, service is very helpful and friendly. The only thing to watch out for is the drinks can be a little on the pricey side for the island.

Food here is always so good would 1000% recommend never use any other take out worth the money as I always no I'll enjoy

Very good Chinese take away and restaurant. Superb variety and fast service but beware a Friday and Saturday evening where the quality of the food ensures that the take away gets extremely busy.

Great service, but most of all fantastic food. Duck was crispy and moist, fantastic food, well cooked and presented. Value for money for what we got, will return for more no question about it.

A good menu selection and very good service. Its the normal eat all you want, but you got to finish what you order before they will bring you more out, normal stuff for this type of place. We had the Duck (as you do) and it was so good we got some more out !!! Other options was much the same as we would normally expect from our local. Seating is well laid out and we did not feel cramped.

Again on a recent visit to the dragon palace, we were greeted by the friendliest staff and the food was again faultless, nothing is too much trouble for them where the food and service is concerned. Food was delicious as always and plenty of it. Mandarin chicken and paper wrapped prawns are a particular favourite. We will keep coming back.

The restaurant is my preferred choice. I got the takeaway now and again, mostly because it didn't deliver otherwise I would get it more from here. But went for a sit down meal once and it was the best! So yeah I recommend the restaurant if you haven't tried a meal in there

We are regular visitors to the Dragon and always find the food excellent and very good value for money. The waiters are very attentive and nothing is too much trouble. It has a lovely warm and friendly atmosphere. I would highly recommend trying the Dragon, you wont be dissapointed but book ahead as they get very busy especially at weekends.

I had this takeaway recommended to me by somebody on my facebook that has lived in Sheerness for over 20 years and we weren't disappointed. It was quite expensive for some meals but good portions and excellent quality.

We had an ''All you can eat'' buffet and also a take-away from here and I must say the food was excellent, service was great and at a very reasonable cost so I would have no hesitation in recommending it for a Chinese only downside is they don't offer a delivery service but I suppose that's probably a good thing as i would be ordering it too frequently!!You can't go wrong here but remember if you're eating in to book in advance as it gets busy

I visited The Dragon for the first time with a group of friends. I was very surprised , the staff were very attentive. We had the set menu £17.85 lots of choice. Very busy restaurant , but the food was lovely,hot and tasty. Would definatly return.

The all you can eat menu is good and cooked fresh which is great. The staff are friendly but if it is busy can be a little slow. All in all a nice place for an evening out.

Went on Sunday evening for the 'ALL YOU CAN EAT' deal. What a deal - 7 courses with plenty of choice. Staff excellent service very good. Food exceptional. One not to be missed.

Me and partner came to eat from the all you can menu. The staff were extremely friendly and a tentative. The food was delicious and there was plenty of choice. I always love coming to this restaurant and thought it deserves the respect that they show their customers.

i have used "the dragon"often,food is always nice & hot,is always ready on time,& staff very friendly.the only gripe i have,is that id like the curry sauce...sweet n sour sauces, not to be so thick,picky i know,but not that bad that id complain..."very good"....

We have eaten here alot and had the takeaway the food is always very good. the restaurant is nice and always clean.the staff are friendly and will always help with any special requests food wise. they usually have a buffet night where you can eat as much as you like for a set price. all in all a good place for a chinese meal.

Wow this place just gets better and better, my wife and i go here at least once a week sometimes more and it just gets better every tlme we go. Great Chinese restaurant and friendly staff. Javelin used both the takeaway and the restaurant and food is great either way. Located opposite a car park which can get quite full but usually find a space if you want to drive.

Just returned from are first visit to this restaurant after many recommendations from my barber shop customers.A very warm welcome,excellent food and friendly service,what more could you ask for.

Had a great evening. The staff were fantastic and so was the food. My daughter who is vegetarian was catered for brilliantly.
