The Dragon in Nottingham

A great small pub on many levels. Plenty of seating. For cask ales when I visited with a good range for a wide palette. I particularly enjoyed the Drakes Duck. Really what a great pub would be. Light music equals could chat. Brilliant!

Freezing cold pub, 1 barman on, last 2 times ive been in, he has served people who came to the bar after me, the last time there was only me at the bar.. The last 2 times both my pints went flat straight away. Gone down hill i wont be going back. Turn your heating on, sort your ale out and employ a decent bar person...

Small city centre pub. Good beers friendly vibe.

Seemed a little off but is open till 1am so bonus! People dancing and close to the market square

Only went in to get a pint of Lenton Lane, sadly none on this time. Gets very busy and noisy ( even before the music was turned up) good to see it still going

From the outside we prob would not of go in .. But what a surprise when we did lively good choice of beers lager cider. And a few unusual attractions. But see for yourself.

Best Thursday night hangout in the city. Been going to The Dragon for 18 years and still it's a number one choice. Great people, both sides of the bar! 💚 Would recommend to anyone looking for somewhere chill after work, with a great relaxed atmosphere, for some nice pints. they have a nice terrace too. Cheers

Amazing place to visit. Atmosphere is always great, service is on point and staff are great to have a chat and a catch up with. Quickly became my go to place for a drink with friends, family or even a night out.

Good selection of real ales Being hot, I decided upon an ice-cold Heineken Service was good Music being played was good as background, sadly ruined by a member of the bar staff consuming too much Trill & didn't stop when asked if it was him on the Trill

Great pub, beer garden is narrow but good atmosphere - DJ was top quality - London style.

On a stag night went to the scalextric room brilliant time had lots of fun but you must book cost £80 but worth every penny 👍😁

Pineapples everywhere. This is a deceptive pub that looks small but goes back a long way. Great atmosphere and good pit stop.

Any pub with a scalextric track inside it cannot be that bad. Plus it sells proper old school cobs cheese and onion ham and tomato what more do you want out of life..

Lovely city centre pub with a large scaletrix set up. You can hire this room out. Unfortunately on my visit the barman didn’t have a key for the room as I did ask if I could have a look! Barman was very friendly though. Four ales on along with the usual selection. Lovely upstairs outside seating area which really makes it in my opinion. Recommended 🍻🏎️

The Dragon is a lovely pub , my complaint is, my partner got me a gin and tonic ,they only put half the tonic in, the other half was put on the shelf behind the bar, 3 students came to the bar of which the young attendants knew them ,they went to sit down after telling the bar attendees what they wanted of which they had some shorts of which they used the other half of the tonic for, we was not impressed!

It is a really good place to socialise and chill, The service is friendly/pleasant every time I visit the pub. Not sure on the food to be honest as I've never ordered anything each visit, could be good?? Overall very good place to get together.

This pub is NOT dog friendly despite what other websites say online! It's a shame really, there was plenty of space we could have sat but we had to leave!

One of the best pubs in notts .A touch more pricey than others but the atmosphere and the quaint outside seating area more than make up for it , and if you are of a certain age the d j bangs out some excellent indie and 80's tunes .Well worth a visit

The best pub in town. Great beer,great music and very friendly staff.

Some decent pubs in Nottingham as you would expect but this place just edges it as the best for me. Great selection of draft beers and malt whiskies but the music is the best with DJs hitting the mark with fab tunes from the 80s. Highly recommended!

Decent pub with a good beer garden, good range of drinks and spirits

First time here. During the Christmas period so was extremely busy but had a great beer. Outside area to drink which was nice. But a narrow bar so when busy a bit of a squeeze getting through.

The Dragon on the outside looks inhospitable but inside its charming with a relaxing atmosphere, try not to go to the bar when someone is ordering coffee it takes forever, be quicker to pull 10 pints in the same it takes. Well worth a couple of beers.

Wonderful place diddn't have to queue that much ok if you like a cigarette aswell unlike the other pubs I went into where the bar staff ask "who's next"instead of serving the person who has been waiting a while because ignorant knob heads push in 👍👍👍👍👍👍

It's a pub called The Dragon - instant win! This pub remains one of the best in the city, lovely traditional pub, great seating out the rear, inside it's a bit of a narrow pub so long seats against the walls, with stools the other side of each table, up near the bar, but large open area as you walk in the front door - as used to be a coach house... - it's a busy place too, but fast friendly service...

Great Pub, and the Upstairs Garden is amazing.

Nice place, seems to have lots of space out the back but quite narrow in the actual Bar area. We only had drinks but a well ran Bar.

Called in prior to a concert on a Saturday evening as we were passing. Very hospitable staff, good range of beers (local and mainstream) and very well served Guinness. Will definitely be back. Prices good too.

In Nottingham for a gig. Tried The Dragon. Absolute gem. What I call a 'proper pub'. We tried the Guinnes and a Twist and Stout from a local brewery. Two excellent pints. Friendly staff and good atmosphere. Pop in if you like a good pint! Loved that they have cheese and onion cobs on the bar. If only we hadn't just been for dinner!

Lovely narrow bar. The outside feature is brilliant with flowers around, sheltered from the rain and have heating lamps on each table if you feeling a bit chilly. Selection is wide and have a few range of single malt whisky but at a price, 35ml though....

Love this place, great selection of drinks and the outside space at the back is brilliant.

It's a relaxed pub hidden away just off the square. I've never tasted the food so I won't comment on that. I go here for the atmosphere and the company.

After drinking in the sun for several hours it was time to head back into the city centre and grab a seat and a few pints in doors, the Dragon offers a great venue to drink in, with a friendly atmosphere.

One of the nicest pubs around the Market Square. Really friendly staff, decent range of drinks. It's fairly small, although it does have an outside area at the back for warmer days. Can be busy Friday/Saturday night, but even so we managed to get a table. Just a good, no-frills pub in the city centre, which is quite a rare fine. Feels safe here too.

Nice place, food was tasty but dry, crispy around edges like it had been kept warm for a some time. Vegetables were nice and fresh though.
