The Dovorian in Dover

Popped in today had a ham omelette with chips and side salad. Food was fantastic quick service and staff professionnel and friendly. Prices are very reasonable would recommend a visit.

Had a set fried breakfast. Everything was good quality & cooked to perfection. Definitely returning & highly recommend

Stood by fish and chips counter for 15 minutes and not only did I not get served but no member of staff even looked at me.

Lovely meals for three of us. Service great too. Inside needs updating but the food and service made up for the general decoration and table and chairs.

Typical fish'n'chips shop. Of course, relatively finished, as almost everything comes out of the hairdresser. The mushy peas (pea porridge) are highly recommended.

I don't understand what there opening hours really are. I've tried to go there in the past too early (it was 08.50) and today too late(14.28)

A great cafe which accommodated our midweek 09.30 breakfast group of 9. Food was lovely, although they do tend to overcook the toast! We do like coming here, and the variety for breakfast is good.

Took a guest for lunch, decided on three large cod meals, only to be informed that they were out of cod, decided on three different meals, all were served nearly cold. Not the service we expected, place has greatly declined both in service and quality, not happy at all

Hey Dovorian Team, Big shoutout to the awesome crew, especially the sweet staff member from Sicily – she made our visit unforgettable. Props on the whole Dovorian vibe – the warm welcomes and top-notch service spiced up the classic fish and chips adventure. That classy touch in your approach. Keep it going! Time flew, and we couldn't savor it all, but the dedication and kindness, especially from the lovely lady representing Sicily, left a lasting impression. A little shout back would be cool, as I'm itching to share more love for the stellar service. Can't wait for the next round of your hospitality. Thanks again for the epic experience. The staff where lovely the food is brilliant especially the fish and chips very good price

The place is really going downhill. They don't even have chicken. Chips were bitter, portions were small.

Usually food is great but my pie was hard and dry inside. Chips were OK though

Oh wow, it was my first time visiting the dovorian, and what can I say, The breakfast was so amazing and the coffee was nice too. I had a cooked breakfast, and my partner had a breakfast roll ( I think its called that), and it only came to £13 that also included a tea and coffee. I will be coming back again.

Had a reduced menu since we last visited Dover .

45mins prior to closing and both the coffee machine and ice cream machine had been cleaned and switched off. After a few minutes the member of staff did say the coffee machine could be switched back on. We declined. Outside chairs and tables had also been taken inside. Music was louder than we would have preferred. Food was excellent and service, apart from above, was good.

Only cafe I like in Dover, workers take your order, polite. Generally it's not over crowded but sometimes it can be due to tourists etc. Food taste really good here, you can order anything and ask for extra on top for a set price, which is a pound, outside seating too. Wheelchair and child friendly, also has its own fish and chip and take away section.

Very disappointing. This used to be a great little place but must have changed hands in the last few years. On arrival told there would be no hot drinks as they had turned the machine off. This was at 1 pm. Ordered a bacon baguette. Absolute rubbish. Two slices of cold anaemic bacon. Overpriced and nasty. Dover deserves better than this. Don't waste your money.

I visited today for a breakfast was told to take a seat and girl would be over so I sat down for 15 minutes passed nobody came so I went up to the counter and said to the lady I think I’ve been forgotten she apologised and asked where I was sitting so I pointed out my table she then said I be straight over so I sat back down and another 10 minutes passed still no one came so I thought there taking the mickey now so I walked out and had a breakfast round the corner. I will never got back to the dovorian in future I spend my money elsewhere

Slow service and rather over-priced!!

Well I ordered there sausage egg muffin and while that was one of the tasty muffins I have had the waiting was quite long for a single muffin and it felt like some of the staff were overwhelmed for only a small amount of people to he served

Very clean, great value, polite and amicable staff. Good quality food and enough of it. Would happily recommend and will return.

We recently had breakfast at this restaurant and it was a delightful experience. I always appreciate finding good options on menus, and this restaurant did not disappoint. The vegetarian English breakfast was simply delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also lovely, with a cozy and inviting feel that made for a pleasant start to the day. I have to give a special shoutout to the two girls who were looking after the guests - they were extremely professional and friendly, and ensured that we had everything we needed.Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying breakfast, as well as exceptional service. I will definitely be returning on my next visit!

I have had fish and chips from here a couple of times now, only a couple as i don't tend to eat take aways often just as an occasional treat and by far they are the best fish and chips in town and such welcoming and friendly people who work there. You must try their fish and chips you won't regret it.

I use the Dovorian for breakfast regularly, always fresh and tasty, staff are friendly and contentious. Tonight we ordered at the chip shop for delivery via Just Eat. After almost an hour, the chef kindly contacted us to explain that a driver hadn't turned up to collect our order, I cancelled the Just eat, and purchased direct from the chippy, our order was disposed of and cooked fresh, absolutely amazing, fresh food, hot and delicious. First time we used them, will not use any other chippy from now on. 👌

Best fish and chips I ever had!

Waitress didn't know what drinks were available...... too busy fluttering her eyelashes at management..... Almost threw extra condiments when asked for... Very bad service.... Will not be returning....

Food was cold / crumpets where cold with no butter then they took them away and applied butter and brought them back 3 minutes later even colder, had finished eating the English breakfast before he coffees turned up, will never use this place again unfortunately, the picture shows the butter still hasn’t melted 10 minutes later😡😡

Average food with below average service. I ordered the Dover Blue, which comes with Stilton and bacon. They didn't have any Stilton, and I didn't get any bacon on it, so what I ended up with was the cheese burger. Only they charged me the extra for the ingredients I didn't get. The woman at the checkout them attempted to charge me around double the prices listed in the menu and wasn't interested in being corrected. It then took her several minutes to use the till, during which time she lost all the information, and I was finally charged a lower amount. The burger was okay, but not with the hassle, so I definitely would not return here.

Amazing place. Both inside and outside seating. Very friendly and welcoming staff with smiling faces. Very affordable, low prices. Large portions. Would definitely recommend. I tried their white coffee and seafood platter. They were both great.

Had breckfast other day, std cooked breakfast, sausage was a proper breakfast one not Overly seasoned, bit tight on the beans or tomatoes and the egg was solid no runny yoke Tasty but not a harty cooked breakfast

Very hearty English breakfast, friendly service and their hash browns were amazingly crispy! Fish n chips were decent- the batter could have been crispier. Definitely worth going if you’re traveling to Dover.

Restaurant is not far from the station, and it was very clean. Staff beautiful and helpful (there have a staff looks very like Vanessa Kirby!!). Food was nice.

Love the food from the Doverian, it always turns up on time or early, it's always hot, the food is delicious, very good portions and the prices are very good, also the inspirational/ funny messages that they personalise your takeaway box with are a fantastic personal touch and I always look forward to seeing ny message as it cheers me up! Thank you for the lovely food and the inspiration.

Iconic restaurant in Dover. Food always very good whenever I come here. Staff provide good customer service. Really good jacket potatoes, big breakfast options and the chips are always tasty.

Good place for an English brekkie food was good. Only three stars though as the coffee isn't great and they forgot a couple of our drinks. But the staff are friendly and polite would recommend.

Open till 8PM at night. Excellent selection of menu choices, and probably the best chips in Dover. My wife and I ordered spam fritters and cheesy chips. I was very surprised that we were served extra fritters, which made our meal extraordinarily good value. A really superb dining experience.

Have just ordered from yourselves for the first time via just eat and oh my god the best savaloy and chips in a long time, food arrived early, great portion sizes and it was lovely and hot, my partner had cod and chips and said the cod was beautiful, well done what a fantastic fish and chip delivery service will definitely be ordering again soon

Absolutely delicious fresh cooked food. Battered Quorn sausages...yummy. made a veggies day they did lol.

What a fantastic lunch out with the other half, we was a bid worried due to recent covid, but got to say this place has it well run and organised, social distancing and safety, not to mention the fact its one of the best breakfast I have had in a long time, even got some free chips on the side, they were extremely yummy too, well done to the cooks, and also a really big well done to all the young girls serving and looking after your customers, all round great experience and shall be be back next week x thankyou x
