Out for a meal for our 16th Wedding anniversary. It was a lovely evening with great food and the service was fantastic from everyone in the team. The only issue we had was that we were not given the option to leave a tip when paying by card, and we had no cash on us, so felt really guilty after leaving given the great experience!

Can't comment on the accommodation as we only called in for a drink and meal. The food was very good value for money and well cooked and presented. Both our main courses were a good size and very tasty, as was the sticky toffee pudding. The service was excellent, with the young staff being very professional and friendly. The choices on the menu were varied and should satisfy most people, even vegans. We will return for more meals as the Bell is in a great position with parking close by and is a nice alternative to the pubs we usually visit. My only criticism would be the general cleanliness of the dining area, which left me wanting to get a duster to the cobwebs and some polish for the table.

Sandwich is a nightmare for somebody with a disability scooter no dropped pavements. You had to ride on the road . The Bell Hotel was not disability friendly a very poor ramp. The food was great.

Went for lunch in this lovely hotel. The food was excellent - my husband had the fish and chips, which he said was delicious. My seafood linguine was also delicious - and plenty of seafood in it.

Had a delicious lunch here, as I wasn’t sure what else was open for a late lunch when I visited on a Thursday and so the team were welcoming and food arrived quickly. They even helped me find a table near a plug socket for my laptop and wifi was very good too. Club sandwich and chips were delicious

This hotel is so charm and have some much history! I will stay here anytime I have to come to Sandwich. Rooms are vintage and very clean.

The Street
We had a delicious lunch sitting in the courtyard of the restaurant. A very varied menu and friendly service. It is definitely on my list of 'go to' places for a meal out.

20a King StreetLove this little place, food is always so enjoyable and freshly made, especially the homemade chilli, there is always delicious specials on. Love that they only take cash, keep it circulation. Cash is king!! The staff are always friendly and accommodating.

51-53 Beach StreetVisited 07/09/2024 with a friend. Super polite staff who couldn't have done enough for you! They were so lovely, especially our waitress who was sweet and nice. Ordered poppadums first and they were, unfortunately, stale. But we ate them anyway! The dips were great! I've never had the spicy red one before, but it was so flavourful and had a nice kick! Beers were cold and tasty, as always. Ordered our mains and they were tasty! Portions perfectly reasonable too. My friend had rice with his and it was a perfect portion for one. I had cheese naan with my meal and I found that the chedder was overpowering when I was dipping into my curry, but as a cheese enjoyer I did still enjoy it! And for dessert, there's a small selection. My friend ordered a coconut icecream and said it was really coconutty and yummy. I ordered the kid's penguin (mostly because I remember them from when I was a child) but the ice cream was vanilla flavoured and a good portion for if you've not got "much room" for dessert. Will 100% go back if I'm in town. And to that waitress in particular, thank you for your service. You were wonderful.
