Great pub with delicious food. Very interesting menu, something for everyone. Staff are attentive & knowledgeable & friendly. Comfy bar too.

Excellent roast dinners, but service & cleanliness needs improving. Staff not very happy & our table & chairs were very dirty on arrival. Felt very rushed as our table wasn’t ready at our booking time yet we still had to leave after our 2 hour slot

Great food and very accommodating, loved the evening lighting. The portions were very good had to take some away and a doggy bag. Give the sharing roast a try.

Food really good, as usual, and the service we received, particularly from Jack, was excellent. We have visited the Dolphin before, and will certainly be going there again - it is a really pleasant dining experience.

Just had the most amazing Sunday roast celebration of my birthday with my daughter and son in law We thought the food was fantastic, particularly being able to have a mixed Sunday roast with pork, lamb and beef, and it was absolutely delicious. The staff were fantastic, in particular, Matthew and Annie who were so attentive, as well as all the other staff, Patrick and Ouan the chef, it was a truly great evening. Thank you so much. The atmosphere is fantastic and the whole experience couldn’t be recommended more. Keep up the good work. Look forward to returning!

had a beef roast amazing food amazing easy service amazing atmosphere. even though it was busy I didn't feel suffocated and food still came fairly quickly would recommend, thanks to Tracey our waitress.

Fantastic food as usual, veggie burger and chorizo good helpings. At tentative staff and great ambience. Sunday roasts are also excellent, again veggie option for wife and me the various meats.

Group outing. Pre-ordered lunch. Had to send mine back back - 2nd ingredient was roasted butternut squash - Instead there were a few tiny bits of raw, what could have been carrot. Staff very good and ordered me fish and chips as a replacement unfortunately chips were undercooked. Apparently they didn’t have any butternut squash. Wasn’t to going to post as other meals looked good but then discovered lady next to me had nearly raw mushrooms in her risotto. They didn’t charge for either meal which was nice of them but I won’t be going back because I’m very disappointed the kitchen presented me with a substandard meal instead of just being honest.

Visited here over the weekend and the food/service were great. We were served by Kyle and he was extremely friendly and attentive. Good portion sizes and food was delicious. Very good restaurant, we will visit again.

Kyle and Jack were amazing and prompt at taking our orders and ensuring the best possible environment for our family meal with my partner and mother in law. the food was served hot and was incredible. to the slight sweet hints in the mushy peas to the beautifully crisp butter on the haddock. amazing meal. I'm a bit of a fussy (and light) eater but, my word, the chicken in a creamy sauce with mushrooms and broccoli and sautéed potatoes was just fantastic. I have no idea how the chefs get that sauce to taste like that but I ate it all up, it was so delicious! My husband had a ribeye steak, perfectly cooked, amazing sauce, great depth of flavour. The service was absolutely right, from the bar to the restaurant. We were with friends who also loved their steak and pie of the day. This is a game changer pub/restaurant for us in our local vicinity. Well done to you all, absolutely great ! We will be back soon!

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal last night. The restaurant was buzzing, all tables full with people coming in after us. Service and food was excellent...and good value for money. This is actually a hard thing to come by nowadays it seems. Will defiantly be going back. My only critic, would be nice to have some plants strategically placed to break up the tables to allow a little more privacy. and to help with noise levels perhaps? keep doing what you're doing, would love see this in our local village

Friendly and efficient staff, lovely light dining area. Fabulous food, generous portions. Friday lunchtime the restaurant had quite a few tables of diners. When asked for special change to a dish to accommodate food intolerance, there was no problem.
