This is strictly a local knowledge and mostly for locals venue. I've met my karate instructor (sensei) here on occasion as he lives near-by and the beer is tolerable (Otter & Doombar on the latest visit) One of the unique features of the place is a pool table that rises under power, from under a small dance floor. There's a skittle alley and a decent beer garden, on those rare occasions when the weather is good. The owner is also the proprietor of Centurion Travel, a few of his coaches are lagaared across the road from the pub - it's easy to assume where they have the staff Christmas knees up. If you travel by car, parking can be an innovative exercise, there isn't much near by. Most newcomers will turn heads when first entering, but the staff and patrons are affable enough and the atmosphere is amiable.

This is such a lovely pub, good sized carpark. Dog friendly and even on a Sunday lunchtime they let us buy some bowls of chips.

A very pleasant place! Location close to the center but still quiet with a wonderful terrace. I recommend the rosé from English production.

Best fish & chips we've had while visiting the UK! We arrived shortly after opening, and the food was freshly made. My husband and I shared a large cod & and chips, and it was the right amount of food for two. We visited Bath a week prior on a tour, and the guide told us this was the best place. We hadn't had the opportunity then to try it, and we made a point to do so upon our return visit. I'm very glad we did!
