The Dockle Farmhouse in Swindon

Started going in here again after saying never again due to rubbish food and sticky tables etc.ordered small amount of food and couple of hot drinks.food came out immediately the only colour on the bacon was on the fat.it was barely warm let alone hot.i took it back and bar maid agreed it didn't look great and said she would ask them to cook from fresh.bacon was brought back almost black as if sod you for complaining we will make sure it's not just cooked but over cooked and inedible.i said to barmaid the kitchen were taking the p#ss and its inedible.manager eventually came back and did a refund (which hours later still hasn't gone into my account)if vindictive kitchen staff cost money by doing this to people's food then they don't deserve a job.so angry I won't eat here again

The customer service was absolutely fine, the food was awful, came here to have birthday meal for my brother, my partner meal was the triple American cheese burger, the bun was hard, the meat was dry and was cold, my brother had large mixed grill, peas was hard, the meat was so so thin and was chewy and chips etc was cold, I had buttermilk chicken burger, was clearly cooked with other things as I can’t have onions but now everything is repeating on me and I feel ill yet I am also pregnant, my brother has stomach cramps all evening, my mums meal wasn’t great chips was cold and tasted like they were cooked with onions rings. Will never eat here again, ladies toilet was disgusting and stunk of urine, tables were dirty and sticky, so unhygienic. Sorry but this place should be closed.

Food was delivered to the wrong table to start with, I then proceeded to send my traditional breakfast back 4 times for cold food and missing items! The manager was rude and tried telling me my food wasn't cold! After the 5th attempt I left without eating it after I was given a refund.

Really lovely service from Kerry H. Good value food and great priced cocktails. Perfect mid week lunch spot. It's not as interesting a building as some other wetherspoons but the service was really friendly and the atmosphere welcoming.

Friendly staff. Play sheet with crayons for the children, for free. Warm atmosphere. Reasonable prices, with great options. Asked for a steak well done, came out cooked perfectly. Only downside was that there were a few bits of gristle, but that happens sometimes.

Be going there for years but recently it's getting worse. Tables are always dirty and sticky, food cold and the prices are high, slow staff, dirty smelly toilets.

Only 3 members of staff working. 1 in each bar and 1 serving the tables. Took me 35 minutes to order food. Finished tables with cutlery, plates and food left on them the whole time we were there (1.5hrs). Food was pathetic. Adult meals were children's portions. Would never go back.

Incredible service, very accommodating to my autistic son who only chose to eat pepperoni. Kerry H served us and was fantastic thank you so much for making our lunch so much less stressful and ensuring our little lad had something to nibble on. Food was lovely, service was fast and environment was very relaxed.

This place is one of the best pubs I’ve been to in all of the world atmosphere is one of the best I’ve ever seen reminds me of Wembley at times . Just an unreal experience overall

Chicken melt, chicken very dry, pizza like a frizby, if thrown it could decapitate a few people on it's flight, food was very poor, 20 yrs ago this place was great, I popped up from Cardiff to meet friends, they told me not to go to the dockle, but I wanted to see for myself, they where right, tables filthy, not cleared, food absolutely awful, staff don't care and the kitchen staff definitely don't care if they are happy to send food out like that, and as doe the managers, obviously they don't monitor what goes out the kitchen, very poor

Lovely breakfast. We bought a cooked breakfasts,bacon sarnie and eggs benedict .Really enjoyable and hot drinks were refillable at no extra cost

I have always had an excellent experience at the Dockl Farmhouse whenever I have visited there. All the staff have been helpful, courteous and friendly.

Avoid this establishment at all costs!! Dirty, noisy and the management is TOTALLY ineffectual. Food was cold and presented poorly. I understand that this is a bottom of the range Wetherspoons, and probably expected more ? The old adage ' you only get what you pay for ' is never more succinct. Complaining to Wetherspoons head office is definitely a waste of time as they do , in most instances , simply ingnore the complaint . Best is simply to pay a little more for good food, sevice and cleanliness.

Whilst ordering my food and waiting for it, s member of staff caught my attention. He took food to the table next to me with a smile, was very polite and professional. I carried on to observe him going about his work speedily, whilst assisting other staff and making conversation when passing other customers. The guy is a genuine people person, nothing appeared too much trouble. Certainly brightened the atmosphere with all he included. Top bloke. Apparently the only William working at Spoons.

Main was alright I ordered a curry, ate it all because I was starving. However this is not the main reason for why I wanted to write a review. The pudding. I ordered brownie with ice cream and my mum had some cookie dough with ice cream. It arrived. The ice cream was melted on the plate so you couldn’t even eat it… I was so tempted to take it back but me and my mum are too polite to take it back but I really should have just done it. At least the brownie was ok ish very flourery and same with mums cookie dough. Overall I wouldn’t reccomend the dockle, the staff was lazy, had so many dirty tables around me, even our table hadn’t even been cleaned, very disappointing the only good reason for this place is that it’s cheap and it shows.

I love having a brekkie here it’s cheap, you can always get a table, the food is served quickly, and it has atmosphere because it’s so busy. You can take kids. My food is tasty and it is the same every time I go there so no disappointment

Our experience summarised. Pros. Cheap Drinks, clean glasses. Cons. Staff with zero customer skills, no atmosphere, groups who shout and swear, incompetent managers who don't manage anything, no interaction between staff and customers, zero manners from staff, drinks dropped off empties left on the table, no multi tasking skills my two biggest issues with the Dockle... no customer appreciation and those bottle bins inside next to customer areas... surely anyone with a bit of customer comfort knowledge would know the noise of crashing bottles is horrendous... PS the only employee who is warm to her customers is Lisa... please promote her.

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid at all costs ! It is dirty , noisy, and although some of the staff are pleasant, the new manager is TOTALLY inept and one of the Sub managers - Charrelle- is down right offensive !

We came here for a bite to eat before the cinema, as we fancied some pub grub. We ordered from the Wetherspoons app. Originally, the food took over half hour to come out, and when it did arrive, my food was stone cold and my partners was all wrong! My partner received his amended, but this time his onion rings were missing. My amended food took a further 10 minutes to arrive, and still wasn't the best quality. The service wasn't great, either. Avoid food here.

Have visited twice in the last month. Borh times my breakfast has been luke warm. And you can count the amount of baked beans you get on one hand. Definitely not the same quality and quantity as before

Over all covid friendly, staff generally polite and lovely, one member of staff that work really hard bubbly aways says hello Jack Black if I recall he's has brown hair glasses lots of tattoos.where has he gone don't see him much now loads of staff I don't recognise, we are regular customers he is alway rushing around.

Well, since you - they asked if everything ok? ...... So where do I start? Firstly, let's be clear that this does not apply to all Wetherspoons. I dislike the apochracy that I must adhere to with all the Covid guidance, but no problem with that, But when I sat at a table that had not been cleaned in god knows how long and visited twice by thier staff with no intention of cleaning it and then asked if everything was alright, again by their staff, I then mentioned this, the answer to the question was 'we try our best', this would not of been so bad but I do note Wetherspoon magazines left on all tables for many weeks that many people must of handled. No meet or greet, no checking of details, pretty much what the hell. Food not bad mind, seasoned well, with the prospect of who knows what

Myself and my partner visited this establishment on Oct 5th. Having travelled from up north to spend 3 days in Wiltshire. We picked this pub for a few drinks and something to eat on our first evening. We were not disappointed. From the slightly confusing car park rules which were superbly explained by the member of staff who greeted us on arrival nothing was too much trouble in these strange times that we find ourselves in. Friendly staff especially the young lady we visited our table with regular drinks ordered on the app. Nothing was too much trouble. THANK YOU VERY MUCH

I have visited The Dockle regular every Sunday for ages ,they have had a few youngsters causing trouble .That seems to have been sorted out now .Covid screening is good (stopping you on entry ) but the real ale selection is not so good now , prices are still cheap .

We entered the building and were asked to sign into the NHS track and trace and show our phones . The young girl didn’t seem to really know what she was talking about but remembered her script pretty well . We found a table and then ordered through the app as instructed ( an easy process for us as we are used to things like this but the internet was really slow due to so many people using it ) Our traditional breakfasts arrived and were really yummy - unfortunately our server almost threw them down in front of us and walked off before we could even intake a breath to ask for sauce and query where our drinks were. My partner got up and asked ( wearing his mask ) and was told drinks were delayed . ( we ordered an orange juice and coffee ) ... he was then told to get sauce from the condiments bar ... then told not to because the Girl had just remembered he wasn’t allowed . She said she would get it . Our drinks came once we had finished our food and no sauce . I say our drinks came - my orange juice came but my partner got an empty mug and told he had to self service himself at a machine ... HOLD ON ... now I’m confused ! Is it self service or not ! Ridiculous ! Given two stars because we enjoyed our food - ZERO stars for service ! Such a shame !

Use the app please. Fine I will do that but the app don’t work due to high volume of people using it. Sit at a reserved table and some one will be over to take your order waited 20mins no one came over but they were quick enough to scream at me when I got if my stool without putting my mask on. Treated like a child by a child. Think I will stay home for the next 6 months.

This used be a good value place for the family to eat now and then. It used to have separate family and adults areas, and it used to have a kids outdoors area. This has all now gone. You go in for a family meal and have to sit between groups of 18 year olds shouting and swearing. Unless they start looking after the families very soon, they will have no customers as soon as the night clubs open back up and the youths go elsewhere. With so many fights going on they will soon lose their license. They need to propose new closing times to deter youths before it gets too late.

Don't expect any logic in its covid secure rules. Have tried to ignore the idiocy of the 'you must get a new cup from the bar each time' for hot drinks refills that only you are going to drink but you can all use the same jug of milk. I have accepted that the one way system is practically unrecognisable because once you know, you know. I was even prepared to put up with the lunacy that rather than my being able to fill in the online track and trace safely socially distanced at my table I now have to fill it in before entering with the doorman breaching every social distance rule and breathing down my neck. But the 'we can't let the person joining you on your table in until another table leaves' is pure stupidity. 'He doesn't need a table, we have the table.' Apparently they were stopping 5 other people from joining their tables too, and no it was nothing to do with capacity because I checked. So you now have 5 tables that can't leave because they can't order their food, because you are stopping the last member of their group / household joining them. Can't decide whether the person interpreting the 'rules' has just been promoted beyond their capabilities or if power simply corrupts.

I came in for a drink with my son and other family members. All of a sudden the manager came bounding up behind us saying we have to leave immediately as children are not allowed in after 9pm...it was only 8.30pm which I pointed out to him and he scuttled off without an apology. Disgusting service he clearly needs to go on a customer service course. Before he loses anymore custom due to his behaviour

I’m pretty sure they’re having more people than they’re supposed to have Some staff even managers not abiding to social distance guidelines this behaviour is despicable. The kitchen when you walk past now you can actually see inside and staff aren’t wearing face coverings.Complains will be sent to their head office as I’ve been there 3 times now and have pictures of the state of dockle the place is a disgrace.

Me and friends came to dockle and spent a rather large amount of money just to have the security tell us that they aren’t going to serve anymore drinks and we have to finish and leave in 10 minutes, however have no reason for this at all, considering we were 3 friendly young girls in a pub full of drinks creepy men. After 10 minutes, not one but 2 security guards escorted us out causing major embarrassment for us and leaving us stranded.

We attended the dockle today to have a quiet meal in the garden as well as a drink. We sat down and ordered food and drink with no issues. My brother had a can of sugar free redbull at the table (outside) as there were no signs directing overwise. The manager Paul came over to the table took the drink and said you’re not allowed to have that in here - which is fair enough. Instead of just taking the drink away (we had other drinks ordered to be arriving anyway) he then kicked us out. Terrible service, understandably after a large fight broke out at the pub yesterday but there was no need for this type of service. We paid for parking which cannot be refunded as advised by Paul. The mannerisms of a manager were completely overridden by the rudeness tone and sarcasm. We just wanted a quiet meal as it’s our first meal out since lockdown - what a disappointment.

I will never visit The Dockle Farmhouse again after tonight. The manager in the blue shirt was very rude to staff members and also the paying public. The pub was full of drunk 20 year olds and you could easily see the bar staff were getting stressed. The two ladies on the bar were brilliant, so friendly and made our drinks quickly. If it wasn’t for the rude manager I would of been returning.

My family were at the Dockle yesterday. It was the first nice day in ages so it was busy as I expected!I visited with another family as is allowed and we remained seated as instructed unless we were going to the loo or bar as the app wasn't working. We were given a drink and the glass still had several lipstick stains on there but the staff were lovely and replaced the drink without question and very apologetic. This gives them the second star! Government rules state only members of 2 households are allowed which I can imagine is near on impossible to manage and I witnessed several groups of people where there were many people who were obviously from more than 2 different households mixing.There was underage drinking taking place but because the staff were busy trying to keep people seated and not mixing with other groups didn't seem to notice (I know the underage people in question so am confident of their ages). People were jumping over the fence so they didn't have to queue to get in so if they were working on numbers of people to keep in line with legislation they wouldn't be able to! People were being asked to identify themselves and fill information forms out but I saw lots left uncompleted on tables and I heard people saying that the pub had visits from the police for the previous 2 nights!!! I really like this pub, it's close to home, cheap and has both good indoor and outdoor seating. It would be a shame to see it close if they don't sort themselves out but I did not feel at all safe during my visit and I probably won't visit again until I am certain that I can feel safe there.

Connor and Will P were excellent. They helped us clean up when we made a mess and were really kind and had good chats with us when we were chilling. 5* all the way

Went tonite the main bar is now closed for ordering drinks as you need to order off the app ,menu is limited and not the the full menu ,food and drink is more expensive than a normal spoons ,however the staff and service was fine, would I go back definitely not avoid !

As per the title...It's a 'spoons, it's not going to be Haute Cuisine or anything. The place is massive with three distinct areas inside and a large garden outside.The tables are spaced nicely and aren't on top of each other, both inside and out. The ordering is all done via the app and whatever you order is brought to your table. The food is alright, typical pub stuff, cheap'n'filling.It does get busy and you have to invariably wipe down your table before touching it as they're usually covered in some sort of sticky substance.But, it is what it is....just go in with "It's a basic 'spoons" and you'll be alright.We tend to go for a late breakfast on a Sunday with a group for a couple of hours before going for a wander round one of the local Country Parks.

Had breakfast here are table was filthy dirty I ask for it to be cleaned, someone can over to clean it “if that’s what you can call it”. It wasn’t done properly I went back to the bar and ask for it to be redone someone else came over and cleaned all the sticky sugar off the table there was not any bacterial spray just a old dirty cloth!!!!! Considering we’ve got the coronavirus I would’ve expected more cleanliness.The breakfast was cold not cooked the bacon had a shimmer of green on it !!!!!! my eggs was horrible it’s was just dumped on the plate no presentation absolutely shocking. Never will I eat here again. Waste of money!!!!!!!!

The Dockle Farmhouse, charges you to stay in the car park after you've been in there spending money for more than 2 hours. The fine is £75 for an overstay. The only way you know is when the fine arrives in the post. It's an independent company that issues the tickets.Euro Car Parks. I checked online and most people have said they cannot enforce this. I will be boycotting this place now as I have no intention of paying to spend money in a pub. Most pubs that charge will refund when you purchase something from the bar. Anybody else had trouble with this?

Is a simple beer too much to ask for? First choice, as still shown on the pumps, not available. Second choice, not available and third choice, I expect you've already guessed it, none of that either. It was basically this is what we've got left and then they were surprised when it was turned down. For whatever reason this situation has occurred, it needs sorting. The place is quite clearly going downhill.

So this is our local pub and we come here about once a week,but on this occasion we sat in the bar eating area at the back by the disabled toilet and unfortunately people were just using it constantly in/out all the time we were eating our food, discusting,I think you are supposed to ask for a special key but obviously on this occasion it was left open and people who couldn't be bothered to use the other toilets were just using this one,plus most of them would come out leaving the toilet door open,really not nice,and not a good place to have a loo where people are eating.We felt like we were eating our dinner in the toilet.Thank god none of them had a number 2.

Very disappointed with the food we received today, i had chicken curry.. Chicken was hard and it tasted like frozen meal and poppadoms were so greasy i could not eat them and my husband had a rump steak which didn't have any taste to it and he asked for medium.. It was well done. We wont be back as its the worst weathersoops we have ever been in.. Service not good and not very clean as trying to find a table that was not sticky.

We came for a breakfast here as we wanted something to eat before setting off for a long journey. Firstly we ordered two large breakfasts with two latte coffees which was so cheap in price. We received our breakfasts within about five mins of ordering . The breakfast was cold and my husbands plate had no bacon on it. So I called the lady and asked why my husbands plate never had bacon on it . She wasn't even apologetic she just went off and then turned up with two bits of bacon on a plate. Yet again was cold. The best thing about it was their coffees . I would of complained about it being so cold and then they would of replaced it but we were in a rush so we just didn't bother. Would we come and eat here again NO NO NO. It's true what they say you get what you pay for.

Want to leave ZERO AS THE SERVICE IS JUST A TOTAL JOKE..... ordered via app everyone else on table had food promptly ours was almost and hours after ordering, no apology from management, when food arrived we were not provided with cutlery and to top it all off I had to send the chicken back as it was like eating a brick

Great place for an early morning catch up with friends and a lovely breakfast. Something for everyone to enjoy. Staff were friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. All areas seemed clean however some of the sofa seating was ripped, this cant be helped and hopefully will get repaired soon. Look forward to another breakfast there!

Having visited the Dockle Farmhouse I was impressed with the service and pricing. However, a week later my view of the place totally changed when I recieved a £75 parking fine for using the car park. I will not be using the Dockle Farmhouse again, disgusted!

We came here for some leaving drinks via work 4 out of 8 of us were driving . The parking is confusing and yesterday I received a £75 fine as I was there 3 hours and 16 minutes along with the others that were driving . There’s no atmosphere in there and to be honest it’s become lazy . Paying / buying through an app . Advice to anyone ...the parking isn’t well explained the other month you needed a ticket now you don’t but it’s a limit ( apparently ) . The company I work for will never use this pub as a meeting place for drinks .

The family section now has no bar you can order from and this has rendered this area soulless, not even any music playing ! The process of ordering via the app was lengthy and not hugely straightforward. This theme continues with the very confusing parking charges, we have crossed our fingers we don’t get a fine. Even though we were only there for 40 minutes!

A perfect example of how to turn “cheap and cheerful, you get what you pay for” type of place into a disaster.

The family and I stopped here for a late breakfast today. It’s good value and a large breakfast keeps me full until tea.

So went for breakfast only to find the bar closed! You now have to download an app order and pay on your phone so left! Some people still want to browse a menu and order and pay a person!

One of our team members did not have ID at the time of purchase and after paying for the item got it taken away and a refund not offered. The waitress at the time also stated "if he us caught drinking any of our drinks we would all be kicked out" I found this to come across as rude and the worst customer experience i have personally had.

Went out to the Dockle for a works leaving do last Saturday night, just a few drinks with ex work friends.

Avoid unless you want to be whacked with a £45.00 parking fine - not worth it. Won’t be visiting again due to unclear parking signage and the machine doesn’t work properly half the time so even when you read it all and try to buy a ticket it doesn’t want to work! Standard food for an exceptional fine? Not worth the time it takes to try and get a ticket

Big old Wetherspoons with plenty of daylight in the initial large dining area , not so bright the further on you venture . The food was ok and good value for money as are all wetherspoons establishments .Staff whilst not rude weren't that friendly though .

Went to the Dockle Farm with a large group of friends for a meal whilst the meal was good a month later some of us received a parking fine for £75. This was outrageous due to the fact we spent over £200. The parking signs are not obvious. Neither my friends or myself well be using this establishment again. Their Loss.

Huge Wetherspoons on the outskirts of Swindon. Hopefully free parking (which is why we chose this establishment) - quite a number of reviews refer to £75 parking charges being issued so be careful.

I visit the Dockle farmhouse quite regularly as I am currently on mat leave with my 5 month old son. I meet up with my friends at the Dockle at least once a week for a cheap bite to eat as most of us are living off a very small amount of money a month, it's one of the cheapest family pubs in Swindon that has a nice atmosphere.

I visited to see what real ales on offer during a real ale week, I tried a couple of ales whilst looking at the television which has very a poor picture quality. Surely the televisions could be updated to receive a better picture ??

After visiting the dockle and paying the stupid £1 parking fee I get a letter month down line saying I owe £75 parking charge. Try telling them you’ve paid parking and even got ticket but there cameras always right. Don’t even bother with the dockle. Won’t be worth it trust me

Though food, is slightly more expensive than The Savoy, about 30 to 50 pence, real ales are the same price, £2.15, They have a family and childrens room anyone can use and a separate main bar, for adults only, for those who want to escape kids. There are two well kept garden areas, where during the nice weather, you can enjoy a meal and/or drink,one for general use and again one for adults only. I think most importantly, the staff are extremely polite friendly and helpful, even during busy periods, though no one has to wait ages for their orders, or to get served. And they have a car park. It is free for the first 3 hours, then after that they make a reasonable charge. I understand, this was to stop people just turning up, then leaving their cars for say the week-end then picking them up a few days later, which of course denies genuine customers a parking space.

Absolutely disgusted to have received a parking fine when visiting this place.

The Dockle Farmhouse, part of the Wetherspoons Group is by far the largest Eating/ Drinking establishment in Swindon.We visit with friends every Friday which is "Fish & Chip night" which we enjoy and have never been disappointed. The do of course offer other choices from their very extensive menu.

Popped in with work mate and we both enjoyed our large breakfasts the sausages aren't the best but the rest was nice

The food is cheap cheap thats microwaved. You can tell they haven’t cooked it because why is the rice so perfectly placed and why does it stick together?? Parking is a mess I have £75 fine!

Visited the pub, got a parking ticket, paid it early which made me £45.00 out of pocket. Then a month later, Euro Car Parks charged me another £75.00 saying I had not paid it! I eventually found their phone number, they admitted I had paid it and said "sorry". I told them sorry just wasn't good enough. Dockle should be ashamed of themselves.

Just had to warn other potential victims of this Euro Car Parks scam before they have their hard earn money taken from them. Absolutely disgraceful way to treat customers. Never again I suggest all who support fairness avoid this place

We called in for a breakfast but gone past 12 pm so ordered a fish and chips and a bean jacket potato and two pieces of bread and butter with teas also for under £13. The meals were first-class no problems at all well worth the money.

Used to regularly go to Dockle Farmhouse for food and drink with friends but have stopped going since my friend received a parking ticket there.

Sticky dirty tables, alcoholic customers, pointless charging in a car that leads to 10mins messing around for the sack of £1 all in all pretty awful experience

In a part of Swindon that doesn't receive much traffic at all they have decided to employ the use of the notorious Euro Car Parks. Total miss. Won't be going back until they remove this silly system. If you have issues with locals abusing the free parking, close the gates you already have overnight or tow vehicles that are there for more than 2h. Don't make every single customer have to pay at a machine to park.

Use this place fairly often, but think I will give it a miss in future. Had to scratch around to find change for the pay and display parking, this is new feature and totally unexpected. Yes you get the money back at the bar but still had to find the money first.

I have used this pub on and off over several years however I have now come to the conclusion to stop using it.

We live locally and popped in for a quick bite to eat as we were unusually childless for the evening. The car park now charges, which is a pain, but at least you get a refund on purchasing £5 or more.

Everything in the pub was mediocre. HOWEVER, PLEASE PLEASE DON'T END UP WITH A PARKING FINE OF £45.00 like me! The pub just don't tell you, it's a pay and display car park. It never crossed my mind that I'd have to buy a parking ticket to park in a pub! Now I'm caught with a hefty bill. I won't ever use this pub again!

Having visited many of the mediocre hostelries that weatherspoons have to offer, I have never come across one that employs third party parking services to care for their car park. The notice is very badly displayed. It is bad when you have to pay to park to eat microwaved frozen food. The staff dont care whether people receive a ticket through the post, they simply reply it isn't their problem. Well it will be their problem when they are looking for another job after the custom declines. Certainly won't be visiting this place again.

This is a Wetherspoons, parking has to be paid for but you get it back if you spend £5 so no real issue.

You know what you are going to get when you go to Wetherspoons, but at the Dockle Farm, you get more than you bargained.

Went here on a Tuesday for a steak and pint special for a Tuesday, after I placed my order it was grizzly rump I was served and not sirloin like I ordered. Why do a steak night and put sirloin on the menu when ur going to serve rump. Total rubbish will not eat here again.

Went here for breakfast .it was a lovely traditional cooked breakfast. .Good seating areas and friendly staff

Love going to this place as you get a meal and alcoholic drink for less than £6. The food was very tasty

So after being let down by another eating establishment for our booking on Father's Day, and trying several other places, we ended up at the Dockle.

We have been to the dockle farmhouse over the years and been very pleased. Went today 13/06/19 very disappointed and will not be returning again. There are doing themselves no justice with APP only ordering. We went to theSpotted Cow in Swindon instead and had much better service.

After over a decade of excelent service I had my last meal ever on the day you were having the parking meters fitted! Ive read the twaddle about its to discourage people dumping the cars there and going to work etc but talk about using a sledgehammer to crack a nut! From what i can see all you have managed to do is chase away all your old loyal customers! You have punished the customers not the freeloading non patron parkers......................

No customer service, so empty facility, paying for parking is not the problem, lack of customer service is, no personal service, just an app, go to the Savoy in town on Sunday free parking and cheaper food and really good customer service with smile

Was a great place to go with the kids. Play equipment removed to add more tables and then add pay and display parking. Are you deliberately trying to turn your customers away. No thanks I'll go to the Sun inn at coate water.

As it was a sunny day, & we don’t live far away, we walked over the Dockle farm, I noted our table number & went to the bar, like I’ve done at least 10 times before, only to be told I couldn’t order there, but, if I used the App I could! ... I’m 60 & have no children to teach me, so I’ve no chance with an App ... I was told to go through to the main bar which is about a minutes walk away, I ordered food, & I took the drinks back with me to our table “305” outside, I just put the drinks down & after only a minute, my girlfriend said “there’s our food now” I said, “it can’t be!” (I was sure it must be for someone who had ordered before us) as we had ordered an ultimate burger, & Wiltshire ham eggs & chips, my chips & eggs were not “hot” & neither was my girlfriend’s burger, we were both starving, so we didn’t complain or make a fuss (our own fault)

I have to echo what two of the last three comments have said that the Dockle seems to be making changes for the worse lately. The app is no good for at least some older people, who don't want to walk up to the other bar at the back, then walk all the way back balancing the drinks. The younger adults who would take up using the app will be less likely to come in in the first place as the removal of both the outdoor playground and the indoor kids activity corner means the pub is much less family friendly than it was, and so young families will simply go elsewhere instead.

Firstly you now have to pay to park!

Dropped into the Dockle for a few beers, The prices are great, with plenty of choice of beers etc. The food was ok, but again well priced

From a great thriving family place, to a unfriendly, non customer service, you now pay for parking, that's no problem but there is no longer anyone at the counter in the main eating area and you either have to go to the bar right at the back and pay for food and balance the family drinks all the way up, or order through the App, so many people were confused by it all and so many people walked out, the elderly people would not be able to carry drinks that far, shame on you wetherspoons

We eat here often and we use the Wetherspoon app. Works very well and food is always good. Nice atmosphere even when its busy.

Arrived as have done countless times before sat down used app for meals. Three meals came but only one napkin. Went to bar and got more and spotted note on a vacant table headed car park. Being nosey I picked it up and read it. Car park is now a pay and display! Left my meal to go cold to find a pay point. It didn't work. But spat a ticket at me. Returned to meal visiting loo on way. Checked by C*** A40 mins ago. It was a dirty place . But it said checked not mentioned cleaned though so pointless. So that's why the place isn't busy today. The food was up to usual standard.

Clueless bar staff, with no idea who is next.. Cheap is about the only thing going for it. Staff trying to find things, disappearing for ages... They seem to be trained to avoid eye contact

Food was good, portions about on the smaller side! Service was good considering busy with families in Easter holidays. Tried the table service app which was just as quick as ordering at the bar
