Always a great Sunday lunch with fantastic service - our 'go to' place every time we visit Birmingham!

Went to a party here in a separate room. A fantastic venue for a party. The staff were so friendly & accommodating. Great range of drinks. The staff ran a gin-testing session. A great activity - we learnt lots ! Very knowledgeable staff who made the activity interesting & fun. Would thoroughly recommend.

Nice little gastro pub. Went here on a work Christmas event. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and efficient. Nice location. Would recommend.

The Distillery in the heart of Birmingham is a fantastic pub with plenty of seating, making it a great spot for casual drinks or larger gatherings. We recently hired their private room for a work Christmas party, and it was an excellent choice. The space was roomy, with the added bonus of a private bar and toilets, which made the evening run smoothly. Their cocktails were superb, showcasing a great mix of classic and creative options. Another highlight was the facility to bring your own DJ, which gave our event a personal touch. Overall, The Distillery provides an ideal setting for both intimate get-togethers and bigger events. Highly recommended!

Y tampoco pudimos resistir el 'puré sucio', con trozos de tocino ahumado y cebolla primaveral. La carta de vinos tenía un precio razonable, al igual que todo. No veo la hora de volver.

Visitado el domingo pasado con algunos de mis amigos, el lugar vino recomendado. Encantador ambiente y ambiente, pero desafortunadamente algunas áreas de mejora requeridas. Nos sentamos rápidamente. Tuvimos que ir hacia atrás y hacia adelante sobre el vino, ya que lo que estaba disponible era diferente al menú. Desafortunadamente el equipo no pudo dejar que mis amigos probaran un poco el vino antes de elegir. Tenía una ginebra y había una gran selección de opciones disponibles. Cuando la señora vino a tomar nuestro pedido fuimos todos por el asado, pero desafortunadamente nos dijeron que no había queso de coliflor. Esto fue muy decepcionante, ya que era solo 2 pm un poco temprano para quedarse sin un ingrediente clave! La carne, patatas asadas y salsa era genial. La selección de verduras era bastante pobre para ser honesto. Había una pequeña cantidad de col mezclada con unos guisantes y 1 zanahoria asada.

Segunda vez en The Distillery para el almuerzo del domingo. Fue muy bueno la primera vez, pero incluso mejor esta vez. No podría fallar nada. Encantador y relajado pub / restaurante que sirve buena comida.

We had our wedding party here and Evie organised it to perfection. The food was absolutely sensational and drinks were on point! Plenty of bar staff there to serve drinks so no one had to queue. DJ put on a great playlist and everyone had the best night! If you are in any doubt about hiring the venue for a wedding party, get it booked!! You won't regret it!

Had some great Lamb Shawarma wraps and a well made old fashioned. Staff were very friendly.

Gifted the Gin school experience to my partner for his birthday and I have to say it’s been a gift to myself too! Absolutely stunning course, the owners are a lovely couple who are super friendly but yet professional. Gin is outstanding, pizza too and the location is superb! Can’t be happier to have this so local to where I live and I cannot recommend this place enough, and the course is definitely worth it! Thank you so much ❤️

Muy buen brunch sin fondo, gran relación calidad-precio y buena ubicación. Fue nuestra primera visita aquí y tuvimos el brunch sin fondo; 2 platos y las bebidas sin fondo. Los entrantes eran muy agradables (calamar y coliflor) y luego los dos tuvimos pizzas. Ambos eran realmente deliciosos y tenían una corteza de estilo napolitano encantador. El servicio también fue muy bueno. Todo el mundo era amable y el servicio era rápido. La ubicación también es perfecta. Estás justo en el canal y a menos de 5 minutos a pie de Brindley Place. Perfecto si te mueves por la ciudad.

The atmosphere and decoration was really nice, great location and tasty gin cocktails but I feel like the food let it down. It wasn’t bad, just kind of “ok”. We ordered the hummus starter which came with flatbread, which was basically cut up tortilla, the squid starter which was nice. For mains we had the schnitzel and the fish and chips, both of which were fine but not anything special. Not sure I would come here for food again, but then perhaps we just ordered the wrong things. Would definitely recommend for drinks though!

What a wonderful distraction to all of the surrounding bland and uninspired "watering holes". This place took ownership of their production and were as proud of it as a parent could be. The way their gin was described could be nothing short of a father discussing the first time their child took steps. They sold it as if it meant something. And when was the last time someone talked about their product like that? The gin... Fabulous. The staff... Invested. The food... Satisfying. The surroundings... Relaxing. In fact the whole experience was relaxing and rehabilitating. Especially after a day of standing on my feet trying to convince people that I knew what I was talking about. Along this stretch of canal The Distillery was the only place that felt original.

We were attending a concert at the Utilita Arena, so wanted a bite to eat beforehand. We booked a table online, which was a simple process. Service was excellent, the food was excellent & they even play the music of the artist performing at the arena which is a great idea!

Stopped of here for a drink and a bite to eat with the family on a weekday during the summer hols. We parked in the Arena Bham South car park and this was right on the doorstep, so we thought it would be rude not to! Lovely venue, clearly focussed on love of the gin (as per the name). Multiple floors, very clean and a great outdoor seating area with various sections and a whopping great TV screen. Friendly & helpful bar staff. We ordered food to the table via the app. 2x Buffalo chicken burgers and some Rosemary skin on fries came out in good time. The burgers were IMMENSE. Amazing value for money. So juicy and delicious and not too spicey. And top marks for the Rosemary infused fries too. Food & drink were spot on. Highly recommend this pub if you are in the area.

Voy en bicicleta al trabajo a lo largo del canal la mayoría de los días y The Distillery es el único establecimiento a lo largo del canal que parecen pensar que el camino de remolque del canal es una extensión de su jardín de cerveza. A pesar de que hay un pequeño letrero pidiendo a la gente que respete a los vecinos, ese parece ser el alcance de los esfuerzos que la administración está haciendo para respetar el área local. El verano pasado, The Distillery dejó un cartel en el camino de remolque noche y día. La señal ocupaba la mitad del sendero de remolque, lo que significa que si ibas en bicicleta y alguien se acercaba en la dirección opuesta, tendrías que detenerte para dejarlo pasar. Este año, cuando llegó la final de la Eurocopa, debió haber más de 50 personas bebiendo en el sendero de remolque, ocupando todo el sendero de remolque, y mientras intentaba pasar en bicicleta recibí dolor de sus clientes borrachos porque quería un poco de espacio para pasar y simplemente no estaban interesados en alejarse del camino para dejar pasar a la gente. La dirección realmente necesita hacer más esfuerzo con sus clientes y tener más respeto por el área local. Ningún otro negocio se hace cargo del camino de remolque, así que ¿por qué la dirección piensa que son especiales?

Went for Bottomless Brunch with my friends. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The food and drinks were lovely. The staff were amazing, so quick and helpful. Overall great experience. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

Rather nice bar/restaurant, with a large outdoor area. I feel the focus is more on the drinks, and perhaps pizza of the food options, but the food was still fantastic overall. Starter- popcorn cauliflower which we shared. You get quite a large portion of this and one was more than enough for 2 of us. The cauliflower was juicy on the inside, crisp on the outside, and really tasty. I would recommend this highly. For mains we had the halloumi and a Margherita pizza- the pizza was great, really tasty marinara and not greasy or stodgy. The halloumi was nice even if it was slightly too salty as a whole dish. Drinks were quite nice, the jungle bird maybe a bit too much campari for our tastes? The first sip was lovely but the bitter aftertaste ruined it. The mules were nice although I would have preferred them to be made with rum. They had ran out of strawberry daiquiri which was a shame. The Hugo was nice enough but I would have preferred it a bit sweeter. Dessert brownie and posset were excellent. Wasn't a fan of the copper tables- there was a strong metallic smell emanating from them which was almost sweaty. The toilets also could have been quite a bit cleaner and loo roll was in short supply.

I did not try the food just dropped in for a drink and enjoy the nice weather. The gin frose was well made and decently strong. I may drop in again before heading back to the states.

Cashless venue which I’d normally boycott but with a group of friends. Tapped my card 4 times to try and pay but it declined. Barman said “It’s usually because you’ve not enough in your account”. The next time it worked. I had plenty in my account, but this benue will never get another prnny from me or my family. Disgusted. I messaged them but they havn’t had the decemcy to reply and apologise, hence this review. Avoid cashless venues!

Visited a couple of times this summer and had fantastic pizzas each time. Large portions, especially the fries and chips, and the pizzas are fantastic. Good selection of drinks here too - especially if you're into your gin.

Hired the Distillery for a joint birthday with around 80 people. They were super - really well organised, lovely space, open to us bringing our cake and entertainment. Screen and sound system at our disposal. Evie kept the event on track, Jack’s comms in the lead up was excellent and reassuring and Jenny on the bar was super welcoming to our guests. We had a buffet which catered for vegan, GF and combined GF+Vegan which was so accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

Wow what can i say if you want a decent meal i would recommend going here. Staff were lovely, food was amazing, i cant wait to come back here again. Xxx

Lovely looking place, it was quiet when we got there but it was early and had been pouring with rain. Very friendly staff, drinks not cheap but this is Birmingham Loads of different areas to sit, they need an under cover area for smokers as the benches that are outside under cover have no smoking signs on them, even though they are fully outside.

We were at the outdoor area of The Distillery with a group of ~20+ people at 5pm, we had our 2 year old who was sitting with us quietly eating the food we purchased here. We were told he had to leave shortly after we bought drinks and food. I’d understand if we were told before entry/ordering that there’s no kids allowed, or if it was later in the evening, but to have them ask a child to leave at 5pm after we’d ordered pizza and drinks for the large group is just terribly rude and sad. We had to leave the restaurant while the rest of the group stayed on as they’d already ordered. There is no mention of this policy on their website or when we booked the tables. When I asked why they said it was because they were “busy”, which they weren’t.

Massive thank you to the team at the Distillery, especially Bethia, Maya and the manager (didn’t get his name). We ordered some food, one of the items was wrong but they were really lovely about it, fixed the issue and the food was great. Great customer service

Went for pre concert food and drinks, booking online was easy, arrived 20 minutes early and our table was ready, we all (4 of us) had Pizza and sides of fries which were lovely and very reasonably priced for a city centre venue. Drinks were great and staff excellent. Had a really enjoyable time and will definitely be going again. Well done The Distillery!!

Pre gig dinner very close to Birmingham NIA. a real gem which clearly not many many have found yet. Authentic Pizza with interesting toppings done in Proper pizza oven. Lots of choice for veggies and vegans. Superb selection of gins. Outside terrace overlooks canal. Staff were very efficient and friendly. A real pleasure to eat there.

Went a a Canal tour. We were told about the round house and distillery. So once off tour we made way here. Wow. Large garden area. Gin bar. Food amazing. Even so we came back next day for drinks. Beautiful atmosphere. Large TV for sports fans. Staff brilliant. Even asked husband if they can do anything to help him as he was struggling to walk. Brilliant bar menu. Thank you amazing. Highly recommend. Will definitely return. X

Beställde en The Bittersweet, men den gick inte att dricka. Gick tillbaka till bartendern (något jag aldrig brukar göra) för att säga att den bara smakar limejuice. Bartendern provsmakade min cocktail och sa att den ska smaka så! Frågade en annan bartender om jag kunde få lite socker och efter en tesked socker gick den hjälpligt att dricka upp! Värsta bottennappet!!!

Good food at a good price. But unfortunately the cocktail I came here for was the worst I've ever had! Ordered The Bittersweet drink after the meal and it tasted like pure lime juice. Went back to the bar, but according to the bartender it was supposed to taste like that! After a teaspoon of sugar it was drinkable, but do not recommend anyone to go here to drink their gin!

Having tried several bottomless brunches in Birmingham we came upon this after searching on the internet. So glad that we did! Choice of 4 spritzer drinks plus Prosecco which was one of the “good” ones not a cheap tasting drink. We didn’t feel rushed in between courses and chose pizza and dessert. The portions were great and not the small pieces usually served at brunches. Full size pizza and a delicious dessert. We will definitely return and all the staff were helpful and friendly.

Me and my friends were booked in for bottomless brunch, our one friend missed her train and had a very stressful morning. (I wish I had asked names! They were young lads) they said it was no problem and let us wait until our friend got there to start the brunch. I then had a cocktail I really didn’t like so they swapped it for me. Food was delicious. £40 for 3 courses and unlimited drinks was amazing value. Will definitely be back 👍🏼

The place is lovely. We sat outside near the water. Some other clients were enjoying some sport on a big screen, also outside. The interior seemed cozy and spacious. We had some local gins, and the bartender made sure we had some nice tonics to complement them. He was very welcoming. The price was reasonable. I would definitely come back.

Been here most of the time specially in summer time, but never try eating it, but surprisingly try it last week, & surprisingly does good food too, & looks freshly made pizza dough, nice thinly crust & very flavoursome. Well be back again, as we only live 5mins away.

So we had booked at the new restaurant opposite. Shown to our table and given menu then absolutely nothing. No one came to offer drinks or take order. Table next to us had ordered but were still waiting for the food over half an hour later. We left and came to The Distillery. What a difference. Isaac was lovely and very helpful. Food was good and arrived within no time. Thank you for rescuing our lunchtime get together.

We met before heading to a concert at The Distillery. The service was excellent and all staff very attentive to our needs. Drinks were fast and food outstanding even giving us the break before our mains after the starters. Nothing was too much trouble. We will most definitely be back. Really lovely place. Fantastic food, seperate restaurant area but food also available in bar section. Large screen with Sports if you want that. Decent alcohol options and not too expensive considering location. Nice waiter: attentive but not too invasive. Could have done with a little more atmosphere (maybe live piano?) but lovely enough for family meal out. Decent starter and main vegan options but could have done with more vegan desserts

Booked table for our work Christmas meal (in January), and they even found some crackers for us! Service was friendly and quick. Good choice of drinks. Everyone enjoyed the food. Good portion sizes and left feeling full.

Had travelled from the South coast to watch a gig at the arena and called in on the off chance we could get something to eat before the show. We were brilliantly looked after by the Manager and staff who squeezed us in despite being fully booked. The food and wine were fantastic. This is the second year running we've been to a show and the distillery have looked after us on both occasions. Many thanks again to Sam and his team.

Can't give an honest review as we've been invited here for our company's Christmas party having buffet dinner (and I am not sure if this is served here on a regular basis or not). The food was more like a nibbling stuff (or cheap fast food) rather then a proper buffet style (not sure what the company paid for, so can't base my review on this, but I believe was around £35/person). Haven't seen the real distillery (as we were based on the ground floor and the distillery/bar on the basement). However, the staff were all amazing, helpful, and welcoming. They were clearing up quite often and checking upon us. The atmosphere was warm and cosy. The entrance should be though more clear as we had to go around the building a few times until we realised which one was the actual entrance.

Great food, great service but the music was very loud, in fact it was the same as the concert we were going in to. This meant we couldn't really talk.

Had our Christmas meal here for x23 ppl. It was easy to book, and order the menu choices for each person. The food was lovely and had no complaints. Could have done with some vegetables with the braised beef and an extra piece of toast for the chicken liver parfait. The service was excellent and had no issues with the evening. Would book again for a works Christmas meal.

Cannot recommend this place enough for bottomless brunch. For the price, it was such a wholesome meal! The ambience is lovely, staff members very polite, and the food is impeccable. MUST try! 🖤

If you're looking for a venue for a wedding reception, event, party, celebration, whatever, honestly these guys know exactly how to nail the brief. The Distillery hosted approx. 80 of our wedding guests for an evening reception, and they absolutely smashed it out the park. The food got more compliments than everything other than my wife on the day. Not one person finished the evening without a full stomach and a happy face. A huge huge huge shoutout to Lauren, who we coordinated for months on end with from a different continent to make the evening such a success. We never actually heard her say 'no' to anything and was amazing coordinating with our stylist/musician/photographer, pulling all the strings behind the scenes. A special mention to Evie & the team too for keeping everybody well watered and in good spirits. The Hugo Spritz went down a storm - the joys of having a gin distillery in your bar eh! The venue itself is so full of character and was the perfect winter venue for us. Thank you Distillery team, you were amazing!

Pub jest przyjemny i panuje tutaj fajny klimat. Obsługa jest naprawdę uprzejma i sympatyczna.

Went for a meal here before a gig. All staff encountered were very friendly and helpful, especially helpful with my nut + peanut allergy. The food was tasty: we shared the Crispy squid, mains chicken burger and beef burger- both really good, one of the best chicken burgers we have had out. Only constructive criticism is the bun could not structurally hold the naughtiness within. Dessert- shared the Vanilla cheesecake. Would definitely return.

Was looking for a venue that showed the Manchester Derby and served food. This came up and we both headed there. I ordered the Lamb Shoulder Roast. Which was delicious and the lamb was pulled. Making it easier to eat whilst shouting at the screen lol Definitely a venue I will be coming back to in the future 5/5⭐

My partner and I wanted to enjoy a Sunday roast yesterday and found this place. We ordered a lamb roast and some cheeseburger spring rolls and they were amazing. The lamb was the best I've ever had, very tender and would melt in my mouth! The guy who served us was also really polite and helpful and the food arrived within minutes of us ordering. 10/10 experience overall, would definitely come back!

We arrived early evening. Quiet drink in the large courtyard (with a high quality screen for sport) before moving through to the restaurant. Staff enabled table choice and were knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Food is excellent value for money with variety and good portion sizes. This 5 minute walk from Brindley Place is an understated Gem. Well worth a visit
