The cafe itself is first class my only fault was the noise from the people in the station which really can't be helped. Their Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese sandwich is to die for and costs only £4.50 compared to Pret-A-Manger's ridiculously £6.25 priced equivalent. A great little place to stop before going shopping.

This café has a charming location in Moor Street station. There is a small art deco interior and a terrace area outside under the cover of the station roof. The coffee was good quality. We had two flat whites which cost £7.20.

Art deco ‘old world’ train station cafe with lovely staff. Think Peaky Blinders meets Brief Encounter. Great coffee and tea but the sausage sandwich was less successful, suffering probably from being ‘kept warm’ too long the brioche (why? Excess calories and sweetness not required!) bun tasted a bit pappy and spoilt the sausage.

CENTENARY LOUNGE - MOOR STREET STATION. There are coffee shop/restaurants and coffee shops/ restaurants. Centenary Lounge is the real deal. It’s done in an art deco style and plays music that is soo in keeping. It just has a certain ambience about it that takes years to achieve and you just keep coming back. Why? A big call out to amazing staff - Jackie (Hostess with the Mostest) as well as Jasmine, Mia and Mona - they know what customer service is all about. I am a chartered surveyor of many years and I know a great place and good service when I see and experience it - Centenary Lounge is that place. And what makes it such a lovely coffee stop off? It is in Moor Street Station. So when you disembark a train or have got time to drink and grab something to delicious to eat, take my word for it - Centenary Lounge is the only place. Tok

Coffee was pretty good although they ran out of oat milk quite early in the day (stock or supplier issues possibly) but luckily coconut milk was also available. Service was really friendly although some grumpy looking man was either walking around or standing right behind the servers making phone calls, not being very helpful. However after waiting so long and watching them attend no further costumers I went up only to be served by the same lady who didn’t even remember which sandwich I had bought. I almost missed my train and had to eat the sandwich which needed to be heated up cold. Well to say this place was a let down is an understatement. Afternoon tea at approx £18 pp was advertised, the experience was priceless. The idea here is you chose a sandwich from the chiller. They cut it into triangles and present you with your sandwich on a tiered cake stand complete with stale scones and bits of dried cake. The person taking the order said we could have our choice of sandwich toasted if we preferred and then toasted every single piece of bread and presented us with toasted bread with a slice of ham or cheese in between. When I queried if she knew what afternoon tea was, she said yes. I said this isn't afternoon tea. Where were the delicate sandwiches, with a choice of fillings....she said oh you mean like at the Ritz! Needless to say our small party of 8 left and were perfectly accommodated by a local hotel who knew exactly what afternoon tea is and discounted us 10% off the £19.99 pp. My 90 year old father in law who's birthday we were celebrating was blessed by the extra mile our new venue went to in redeeming what was a terrible let down at Moor Street Station.

The stuffs were helpful, kind and welcoming. There were a manageable queue. There is a lot of interesting option for snaks. Had one latte and croissant and I loved it. I've came in for a couple of drinks this evening and after two too many interactions with the Indian proprietor I just found him to be rude. The younger Chinese guy had a sense of humour and was polite and professional but the other old man serving was just a miserable sod! At one point I made a comment about my tuna mayo melt being really hot and he just ignored me. And whilst clearing my table I said thank you and he just didn't react. I get the impression this place is living on its destination and the music it plays in an effort to create an ambience but then to destroy it by just being rude. Unfortunately not somewhere I would recommend or frequent again.

Very rare indeed for a coffee shop / cafe of any kind, this should be a destination of its own right in Birmingham city centre, and quite out of the ordinary among those in public transport facilities anywhere in UK. Insufficiently appreciated on local media, though word of its afternoon teas does stern seem to get around to appropriate clientele. A minor criticism, the architects of the restoration could have paid more attention to creating more functional front door system, to serve all needs in the colder weather.

I've always been a fan of this place, the game selection is the staff have always been friendly and accommodating, the biggest downside was that it has always been mildly cramped... This time in particular however was truly incredible. The place had been redone, so the cramped issue had been completely resolved (it also wasn't incredibly busy so I can't say how is like when it's busy, but the tables are far more appropriately spaced out so I doubt it's much of an issue) additionally, the food was GORGEOUS the two of us who came had the satay fried and a chicken burger as a part of a lunchtime meal offer alongside a drink and we were thoroughly impressed!! Lastly, a massive positive review to Will B! Not only was he a friendly and anchorage face, but hw is so evidently passionate about both board games and his job, you can tell in his attitude towards customers and how helpful he is and encouraging of others!! He really elevated the atmosphere to a whole other level!
