What a heinous place. This place has rats and many people have seen them, the staff that used to work there were treated horribly - overworked, not payed what they should have and abuse hurled from customers with no consequences for them just because they spent a lot of money there.

Great service here as always, Tracey served us today and was very polite, friendly and attentive, she made it a special meal to celebrate my nephews birthday If you in the area, well worth popping g in for so.etging to eat and drink

To be honest a little tight with the meat portions. Veg gorg staff polite just better quality but push the meat slices. A guy served me last time was more generous.

A party of 7 of us came to the Old House at Home for our Christmas get together yesterday evening. Our table was booked for 6pm, and we'd pre-ordered the Festive Menu. I'm vegetarian, and to my horror discovered I'd been given a chicken burger!! (which wasn't even on the Festive Menu!) I was asked if I wanted a plant based burger, which I agreed to, but when it arrived I couldn't eat it, it was very poor quality. Also by the time it arrived, everyone else had nearly finished their main meal. So my Festive meal ended up being a few chips rolled up in half a burger bun! There was also a mix up over the pre-ordered desserts. Those who had the carvery said the vegetables were lukewarm. Very disorganised experience on behalf of back room staff. However, the front of house staff were very friendly and helpful. A young lady brought some drinks for us. The young man who waited on our table was so good and helpful, having to deal with the mix ups created by others. I'd give these 2 members of staff 5 stars and zero stars for everything else if it was possible to do so!

Nice staff .But the meat was carved so thinly you could see through it . I heard them talking about how they were running out of meat . So obviously that's the reason why maybe 🤔

It greaves me to leave this review as I don’t want everyone to find out about this place😁… but on a serious note, if you’re looking for a fantastic value for money meal that’s cooked brilliantly with a great variety of carvery delicacies, this place has it! Service was great too thanks to Nikki who moved mountains to get us a table👍

Great place, nice relaxed atmosphere for a meal with family or friends. But also a nice pub to chill and have a few drinks. Calm and quiet location, that isn't too far from anything you may want, IE city centre for clubbing, a couple of high streets for shopping (or city centre) Would absolutely recommend, and I hope all who go have as great an experience as I. I regularly come here for a carvery with my family and have never encountered any issues, except for today. I ordered three carveries, showed my greene king bluelight discount code, my dad handed me his credit card to pay. However, i was told by the server that the name on the credit card needed to match the name on the bluelight card? I have never ever experienced this before. Does this mean that if i was to pay cash she’d have to see me take the CASH out of my purse and not taken from my dad? No where in offer TC’s does it say that the credit card name needs to match that of the bluelight card. Although, i did end up paying from my credit card and got the offer, it did ruin the experience of the meal.

Frequently visit as its not far from home, it's good to take children but they also have an over 18 Area if you dont like kids, very clean, nice food, and most of the staff are very nice and friendly especially Tracey, and Shayla, thank you for excellent service.

Lorraine, Ash and Jamie’s service was great and they were extremely welcoming. Lovely environment for the group of children and their parents. Children’s meal is good value and has a big selection of vegetables. Thanks guys!

What was special about Old House at Home was the friendly atmosphere, down to earth pricing and some super friendly staff. We live in the neighborhood and are regular. Food was reasonable as usual and Marik who served us was brilliant!

We were met by a wonderful lady called Tracey who personally sat us at our table and made sure we were comfortable. Food was wonderful too.

Donna was amazing she hosted my daughters birthday meal and was very accommodating and polite, we also had more people turn up but Donna made it work and made sure everyone was able to sit and eat in the time allocated on a very busy Sunday afternoon and made it great so massive thank you to Donna and all the staff for making our visit lovely even with difficulty’s.

Lovely carvery, piping hot and a generous amount of meat. Good selection of vegetables. Partner had a chicken and bacon salad, very tasty and a good portion. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Came here for food and for the wacky warehouse. When we walked in, our table was being used, so we had to wait for them to ask a family to move. When we got our seats, the table was filthy and sticky. We finally ordered food and we had ordered a steak and chicken fondue which came with no chicken. We ordered a side of onion rings and told the guy we were waiting. He said they were on the way and they never came so we gave up asking. The floor which children were walking on with socks had wet paper towel, food etc and not once did I see a staff member cleaning the floor. The boys toilets were out of order. The whole place is terrible.

Really enjoyed it the carvery was only £7 a d was lovely really great value love the venue and the staff are great. There a great variety of spirits and beers with lots of offers
