We went for a Sunday lunch and we absolutely loved it. We were made to feel welcome and the food was amazing. You can eat in a room on your own to make it an intimate experience or a room for ten and make it an ideal dinner party for you. The food was absolutely perfect, customer service was friendly and I will be returning

The Dining Club catered for our wedding. Proving food for over 50 sit down guests, plus extra for evening menu. We are so glad we chose the Dining Club. They were very flexible in terms of menu from day one and happy to adjust products to suit our choices. They provided lots of extras and helped make our venue look amazing. We had nothing but praise from our guests about the quality of the food and friendly professional staff who served us. Cannot praise Susanne, Scott and their wonderful team enough. If we hold any large events again they will definitely be our first choice. Thanks team.

Absolutely wonderful. As relatively recent arrivals to this part of Kent, we have had the pleasure of visiting The Dining Club in Deal on three occasions in the last few weeks and each visit has been absolutely wonderful. From the ease of booking and warm welcome from Suzanne and team to the minute you leave the dining experience is absolutely wonderful. The recent Sushi pop up was fab and then last night’s top billing, in my opinion, was a straight fight between the sumptuous cream of portobello soup and the main course of baked cod en papillote. But each and every menu is a flavour fiesta. The Dining Club in Deal is a must. Wonderful food, wonderful service, and wonderful value. Absolutely wonderful.

As usual the food was delicious and the staff are always attentive and friendly. I love the atmosphere here as it’s very cosy . The restaurant is made up of various rooms some small and intimate, others slightly larger but all nicely decorated and welcoming. The choice of menus are exciting and well planned . I really like the way everyone sits at the same time and is served at the same time as this makes the service very efficient. Also great that you can take your own wine x

Chose as a Birthday celebration for two. Hit the mark on every level of taste,quality, service,price, atmosphere. Partner raved over every course in the Nose to Tail menu. I finally appreciated Truffle & Garlic in the Egg Mousse and Garlic & almond Soup. Our bottle of Champagne was placed in an ice bucket and our bottle of red lasted perfectly with the meal. Marvelous setting for a meal for two (We were in Green Room) or for a party in larger rooms. The organisation of the whole evening was impeccable from arrival and departure for a full house with dishes arriving and clearing smoothly. I hope to return later in the year with a small party. They can be very proud of this establishment and can thoroughly recommend and hope they never expand and keep it soooo unique.

4 of us went for sunday lunch yesterday and every course was delicious. The pan fried scallop melted in the mouth, the crab mousse was so light and the apple relish was amazing. The fore rib was beautifully cooked and so tender, oh and Scotties roast potatoes were crispy on outside and fluffy in the middle. I could have licked the plate with his beef gravy. Thank you Suzanne and Scot for the best lunch 👍👍

We had a delicious meal at the dining club on 16th December. The rooms were decorated beautifully for Christmas by Suzanne’s mother in-law and the atmosphere and service was fabulous Thank you Suzanne and Scottie

This was our first visit and we cannot wait to go back! The food was fantastic. We enjoyed every course on the “Taste of Kent” menu. The individual rooms are all lovely. Only good things to say about this place. We’re looking forward to our next visit!

Make your own mind up about the owners response to me complaining about reservation errors and lack of response to reservation enquiries. It appears to be a lottery if you actually have a table at a paid membership club I was told that they won't bore me with the details but their lovely guests know that they have had an "interesting " year with the wife's father sadly passing away and owner having an awful accident so their lovely team have been helping them through the trying time.. sadly mistakes do happen at The Dining Club (by my experience, repeatedly). Why would i expect to be booked in for 3 persons if i had requested a booking 3 persons? and received a incorrect response after many days of waiting for a table for 2!. Why would i expect a response at all to another booking enquiry? The Dining Club solution was to refund my pre payment for 3 person booking and my membership to get rid of the problem with comments of toodle pip old chap. That did make me laugh as i havent heard that phrase for years. It is a real shame that when you support local businesses they constantly let you down and use such excuses rather than addressing their issues. There are many good restaurants in Deal, it just appears that this one has issues at the moment.

We have been using the Dining Club's delivery service since it started. The quality of the food has been maintained. As we are still unable to go out for a meal in Kent due to the current tier 3 restrictions, The Dining Club have come to the rescue with their delicious food to take away and heat up at home.The Bombay menu started with the Spiced Monkfish appetiser wasn’t on the menu but it was an excellent surprise (& Icould have eaten the homemade chutney on it's own it was so good) then a rich Sour Prawn & Mango soup to get the tastebuds tingling.The main course of Black Spiced Belly Pork was so soft & well complimented by the Onion Bhaji, Bombay Potatoes and a sumptuous Spiced Gravy.The portions were so big that dessert had to wait until the next day, but it was well worth the wait. A beautifully thick set creamy Mango pudding topped with a crisp Sesame Caramel.So good we’ve already booked the Christmas Eve menu. Roll on the 24th!

Because of COVID, the Dining Club now offers a take away service which is fantastic. Last Friday we had pea mouse with blue cheese crumb with crispy pork belly for a starter. Main course was slow roast beef cheek with potatoe pave, serious tomatoes and flat mushroom with dijon hollandaise. Desert was a mango panna cotta. Suzanne delivered all the elements with cooking instructions, a complete triumph. Looking forward to this Friday. J and B.

Stayed in Deal for weekend and this was recommended by owner of B&B. The theme for the weekend was an Atul Kochhar Indian 5 course meal. Loved the set up of the restaurant with rooms acting almost as a number of private dining rooms. Hostess was very friendly. The evening we attended it seemed full but felt absolutely Covid safe.Meal was outstanding. All the dishes were just a little different from a normal Indian meal (as you'd expect) but the range of tastes encountered were a wonderful experience. Whilst understandably full by the end the portions were all perfect sizes to allow you to enjoy each course.Would expect to be visiting Deal again next year and will definitely try to book into here again.

We have never had a bad or mediocre meal everything has always been absolutely superb. Do not know how Scott make such diverse superb menus. Suzanne is a superb host making all customers feel very wellcome. Always look forward to our next visit.

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic we have had several meals delivered by the Dining Club. They have all been excellent. The recent 'Modern Flavours' menu was particularly good. The roast shoulder of lamb with a lamb faggot and preserved lemon was as good as it gets. We can't wait for the next delivery on Tuesday!

We are normally regulars at the Dining Club but Covid restrictions have taken there toll. They have to restrict their numbers because of social distancing but we managed to get a booking this Sunday. Despite hand sanitizer and masks to enter the premises etc. it was a delicious and relaxing meal. We had a lovely mackerel parfait, a pear and bacon salad followed by a fantastic beef pie with roasted vegetables. This was topped by a fantastic lemon dessert. This made a good balanced meal of considerable interest. It is a place where Scottie and Suzanne make you feel relaxed and the rooms mean that you usually get chatting to others in the room. During the pandemic they are also doing the meal as takeaway during this difficult time. I would certainly recommend that you try the meals which are different every time.

Staying in deal for 9 days allowed my wife and I to try a large number of restaurants. This was one of the better ones.The starters were unique and very nice indeed, the lamb shank was very flavoursome and fell off the bone. The ambience was such that we felt we had to whisper. My only two points are that I have never been a big fan of bringing your own bottle to a restaurant. Also that receiving the bill in an old tobacco tin was just weird.

We had such a lovely meal at The Dining Club tonight. The atmosphere was informal so you feel relaxed, but still special. The food was wonderful. I particularly liked the sea trout, with beetroot pannacotta and a five spice sauce. The connect of the club is great and if we lived closer, we would visit all the time! I have been lucky enough to have the pleasure of receiving a delivery of a takeaway lunch as a surprise lock-down gift.My meal was exquisite, and very easy to reheat. The Chicken Schnitzel with Spinach starter followed by a main course of Pan Fried Sea Bass with provincial vegetables was such supreme quality, the ingredients so fresh, and the flavours fragrantly blended, it really was so delicious.The Sweet Muscovado Cream with Sour Plums and Ginger Biscuits was a delightful dessert and not too sweet- the perfect end to the meal.This certainly brightened my day – and very highly recommended.

We had a booking for Mothers Day Lunch, Alas cancelled because of the Coronavirus shut down of restaurants.HOWEVER, We took advantage of the offer to collect the meal (for 5 of us) to eat at home.Wow what a great experience, everything was ready when I arrived with instructions on how to warm if needed, Buternut Squash Soup with a homeade cheddar and Rosemary scone, followed by a starter of 5 spiced Duck Salad. Main of Roast Beef, A medley of fresh veg and dauphinoise potatoes and lastly a gorgeous Walnut and Treacle Tart...Mothers day was rescued! I understand the owners are planning more Collection/Take Away opportunities shortly, I totally recommend you use this service, The food, as always, is scrumptious and the ordering and collection process is Simple. I cant thank Scott and Suzanne enough for their hard work, not only keeping in touch with us as to what Boris decided to do re restaurants open or shut, in the end the decision was made for us and Scott and Suzanne stepped up to the plate (pun!) and produced a fabulous 4 course meal that my daughter collected and all I had to do was sit at a table and be served by my husband, son and daughter and all they had to do was heat it, it was fabulous and although I missed the atmosphere of being at the Dining Club I didnt miss out on the amazing food. Due to the coronavirus closure we were unable to eat here last week. Instead we had two superb takeaway meals. They were delicious, excellent value and up to the Dining Club's usual high standard. On both occasions we made an event of it by setting the table, lighting candles etc and cracking a bottle of bubbles I highly recommend in these difficult days.

Have now eaten at the club over 8 times in 2019 and all excellent and thanks to our friends taking us un our first time and enjoying t so much we became members. The last visit was my sister.s birthday treet so having come down from London we went out to dine with two others we had a riotous evening with excellent food and great friendly service. Thanks to all the staff for memorable time. Bad news my sisiter wants to come again and pay for herself this time so we will return.

We went with friends for a Sunday lunch and we all enjoyed everything enormously. You are not rushed, food is hot and good portions are offered. Corkage is very very reasonable and the ambiance is friendly.

My friend and i had an evening meal to celebrate my friends birthday at the dining club. Every course was delicious, and the members of staff wonderful. We both agreed this was the best meal out, that we had eaten for many years! Highly recommended!!!!!

Food, service, atmosphere.. One of the best experiences I've ever had in 40 years of eating out. If you haven't been yet, you really are missing out. Sunday was: crab mousse, cauliflower cheese soup, pork belly roast, bread & butter pudding with clotted cream & much more.

I cannot recommend enough the Dining Club. The food was excellent, the staff was lovely and very helpful. You need to bring your wine and alcohol but the corkage charge is very small. They give you a set menu which changes every day. You also pay cash. All of those points are not inconveniences as the food and service are outstanding. A must if in Deal.

This is one of the best meals I have had for a very long time. Every course was perfectly presented and beautiful to taste. Waitresses were very friendly and service was excellent. Only wish I lived nearer so I would be able to experience the afternoon teas and other evenings. The other plus is you can take your own drink with only a small corkage fee so don’t have to pay extortionate prices for a bottle of wine. The overall decor and ambience was also excellent.

We've only been 3 times so far but each occasion has been an occasion. Every course seems finely crafted, often with unusual ideas or ingredients but always with a great taste and sometimes it's sensational. Bring you own alcohol (corkage fee applies). Perfect service.

Eight of us ate there recently on our weekend away in Deal. The food was enjoyed by all of us and it is a place I would go to again. The menu for the evening was called Ottolenghi and was 5 courses. You do have to take out membership which one of our party did prior to booking. You do have to supply your own wine but honestly I would prefer that. All in all a lovely evening. Oh, and don't take your dog(s) which a French couple did.

The Dining Club in Deal is a members only establishment - but for anyone likely to use it a few times a year that’s fine. It only costs £10 a year!

Thank you for hosting our private event at the Dining Club and catering for the evening party in Deal Town Hall. We always enjoy our meals at the Dining Club, you made our day so special and our guests loved your food.

You will never have a bad meal at the Dinning club. You are picking the menus that meets your palette . If you book months in advance before the menus come out. Scot will let you pick your favourite food and create a menus for your taste. He did this for me in May for 7 people I booked the table in February and everyone had a meal.Scot and Susanne are a very friendly couple and there staff are great.

Last night my wife and I travelled the short distance to Deal in Kent to have our first taste of The Dining Club. Set in Deal's magnificent conservation area, The Dining Club can be found in what was previously a house, converted into a number of rooms for dining.

Each set meal is themed. The food is excellent and sourced locally. Best for small group dining. Take your own wine.

We joined some friends for the St. Patricks day lunch. As usual Suzanne and Scottie were welcoming and we had a very relaxed lunch. The corned beef croquettes were lovely and the bacon salad which followed was tasty but not too filling as the main course was loin of lamb with mixed vegetable roasts and colcannon. The meat just fell of the bone and the gravy was to die for. We enjoyed the dessert as the final course followed by coffee and tasty treats to end a delightful meal. We were glad of the rather blustery walk along the front at Deal after such a fantastic meal.

What a fabulous dining experience in a house converted into individual dining rooms. We were served outstanding food by chef/owner Scott who sources all local produce. His attention to detail is second to none.

I was looking forward to an evening at the dining club in Deal, and attended a function with a fixed menu. Unfortunately the meal consisted of a tiny burger, warmed up French fiies and a few leaves of rocket. I’m sure they are capable of doing better than this, but I didn’t rate the meal as gourmet food.

Glorious menu of all things fishy...(apart from the scrumptious dessert ).

We came across The Dining Club whilst wandering around Deal's conservation area and noticed the menu for a 5 course meal consisting of 4 fish dishes and a dessert for £30.50 per head (the menu changes each week and also includes a veggie option), but being fish freaks we immediately booked dinner for the following night. On arrival we were warmly greeted by the chef who was happy to answer questions about the dishes and ingredients. We were seated in one of the five tastefully decorated dining rooms that make up the little restaurant, which is housed in one of the charming fishermen's cottages. I couldn't wait to start eating and was very happy with the excellent tuna sushi and nose watering wasabi apetiser. Next came a rich, red bowl of delicious spider crab soup served with basil oil and freshly baked sour dough. The starter consisted of some delicate monkfish cooked scampi style, which was served with a fine fennel and orange salad. For mains we were served roasted hake with a fresh tomato sauce and greens. Dessert was a mango parfait served with a coconut tuile. The flavour and presentation of all of the dishes was outstanding; and the service was perfection, with sufficient timing allowed between each course to make you hunger for the next one. You take your own wine, and the lady who took our booking recommended taking more than you need, which turned out well as we spent a most pleasurable three and half hours here. Will definitely be returning.

I love this restaurant. Everyone sits and eats at the same time, plus you all eat the same menu. We took our own drink which they charge £2 a head for corkage. It was a 5 course meal plus we ordered a cheese board. I think they decide on the menu about a month in advance. The food was brilliant.

Where to begin? We have listened to our relatives rave about this place for years and were so pleased when they said they’d treat us for my husband’s 50th birthday celebrations.

Having seen The Dining Club featuring as a top destinations in Deal we went last Saturday. Our thanks to those that rated this in the past. It was certainly one of our best meals in this part of Kent, and we have been to quite a few. For the price it was extremely good indeed. We were a little disappointed with desert however overall we give it 4.25 out of 5. Going back for Sunday lunch in a couple of weeks. Definitely looking forward to that.

This was our second visit. Our first was slightly disappointing but I resisted the temptation to review at that time as all other reviews were so positive.

This restaurant is unique in my experience as it is a true Dining Club i.e you have to be a member or invited by a member.

I visited as a guest of my brother and sister in law, they being members.

I am a regular at The Dining Club and went with some friends last Friday who hadn't been before, they are well travelled and know about food, they thought it was fantastic and joined on the spot to become members. We started with poached crab, followed by wild mushroom soup followed by pan fried Dover Sole, followed by either loin of Rabbit or chicken breast, followed by Elderflower wine jelly. Scott has one of the best cheese boards in the town. Scott changes the menu. Would thoroughly recommend this wonderful foodie experience set within Deals famous Conservation Area minutes away from the sea.

I have been coming to the Dining Club regularly since I moved to Deal just over four years ago and have kept forgetting to do a review. I love coming here as the food and atmosphere are a delight. It is a completely different experience from anywhere else and rather like a house party. When I have friends visiting from London I usually take them there and they all love it so much that they ask to go again on their next visit. Scottie is a great and imaginative chef and Susanne is a very welcoming host. Their afternoon teas are very indulgent and the food is always plentiful and delicious.

Once again took another group of foodies to The Dining club knowing that We would have a fab evening and we were not disappointed. The staff as ever were discreet and helpful storing and chilling our wines that we had select d for our courses and then bring them to the table as when we needed them. They noticed when we neede our water bottles refreshed but otherwise left us to our own devices which is what I love about eating here. The food was delicious once again and Scottie although very busy came and answered our foodie questions when we couldn’t decide about a certain ingredient in our dessert. Both Scottie and Suzanne saw us to our cab and waved us off a lovely touch. Will definitely be back again and again. Great value , great service, ambience and lovely food.

I visited The Dining Club for the first time in April 2018, with a group of friends plus a very small baby! Everyone was very welcoming and we loved the set up, being in our own room but part of a larger experience was brilliant. The food was better than hoped - a few of the items on the menu were a bit on the unusual side (e.g. faggot), but everything on the night was fantastically tasty. We all had a wonderful time and would love to come again next time we're in the area

The Dining Club is held in an authentic Georgian house with three or four separate dining rooms, each with maybe about three or four tables of diners, so quite an unusual concept which makes for an atmosphere somewhat different from your normal restaurant experience. There is only one menu (plus a veggie option) which you can see in advance before you decide to book.

I have visited this restaurant several times for dinners and afternoon teas and the quality on the food is exceptional. The chefs certainly know what they are doing. Their dinners are often 4-5 course which always makes it a wonderful evening, more of an experience and exciting to see what comes next. They offer a bring your own drink policy where you just pay corkage of £3 per person which is also great for keeping down those expensive drinks bills you can accumulate elsewhere. Highly recommend.

When I wrote my first review of The Diner's Club, I had felt very disappointed that my experience hadn't matched that of many others. I did say, though, that we would give it another try and I am SO glad we did. Last Saturday was East End Night and when I saw the main course was Manzie's Pie and Mash I had no hesitation in making a booking for four of us. This time, we sat in the room just to the right on the ground floor which was warm and welcoming and I have to say the food was divine. We started with Crispy Crabsticks, followed by the best Pea and Ham soup I have ever eaten. Then came Scotch Quail's Egg with Chutney which was equally delicious and very filling but there was no way I wasn't going to eat the first Pie Mash I have had for years. I wasn't disappointed and was hoping my husband was going to leave some of his pie as he has never been keen on this London delicacy. Unfortunately for me, he ate every morsel! Dessert was a delicious sponge called Roll Out The Barrel - it was as light as air. I am so glad we returned to the Diners Club and I know that we will be returning as often as we can in the future. As usual, I booked the dining club for my staff Christmas lunch. Scott did a fantastic menu of traditional Christmas fare, all of it not only cooked beautifully but also presented beautifully. We had a great day and the fact that you can bring your own booze makes it even better!

Attended the Portuguese evening and was delighted with the quality, presentation and taste of the food. It was interesting well balanced and good value - We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. My only error was not to bring sufficient wine along - so it was a quick dash home to get additional supplies!

Enjoyed the Italian lunch with a friend. Loved the savoury items and the grapefruit sorbet was delicious and cleansed the palate. The amaretto scones and home made apricot jam went together beautifully and normally I never have jam! Well worth a visit. I've already booked another lunch with friends.

We booked the Lebanese evening for our first visit to The Dining Club and had been looking forward so much to an evening shared with two good friends. However, our hearts sank somewhat when, having arrived a few minutes before 7pm we were shown to our table which was just inside the front door in a very dark room. The other rooms were warmly painted and looked inviting but the room we were in reminded me of the 1950s Doctors Surgery we attended as children. It was navy blue and very oppressive. There were two people on the only other table in this room and they looked equally depressed sitting right by the front door with the constant flow of people arriving. I have to say the food was good although the soup was possibly not warm enough. The Lamb meatball, however, did arrive hot and was delicious as was the Rose Panacotta, which actually was divine. I've looked through other reviews and it seems that we may have been unfortunate in the location of our table as most reviews are excellent. It would make such a difference to the whole experience if this room was repainted in a warmer colour - being surrounded by dark navy blue seemed to affect our whole dining experience. When we used the toilets upstairs, we discovered much warmer coloured rooms and lots of animated conversation going on. Our room was definitely lacking in atmosphere and we felt apart from the rest of the restaurant. We will return to The Diners Club in the hope that this was a one-off but hopefully we can request to be seated in another room.

Having read some good and positive reviews we were looking forward to our first meal at The Dining Club as new members and sadly we were disappointed.

As usual we looked at the menus for the month and could not resist the Tuesday lunch offering. We both love seafood and could not resist the chance to eat Scotties mixture of langoustines mussels and fish on the menu. We were not disappointed. The sauce and langoustine combination to start was out of this world. Chorizo in a sauce was not something I would think would go with langoustine but it was perfect. The moules which followed were traditional and perfectly balanced as was the main dish of fish with kale and potato cakes with capers. This followed with the lemon syllabub and lemon ice made a perfectly balanced meal. Many people also agreed with us as the place was full and we could hear the many appreciative comments. Filling the place on a blustery Tuesday lunch time in the Autumn is quite a feat and it shows that the clever combination of Scotties food and Suzanne's cheerful and caring service is appreciated.

Myself and my partner try to go along to the Dining Club for dinner as often as we can but this time I went along to the Cup Cake Class on a Saturday morning. It was really a great way to spend a Saturday morning. It was such a fun couple of hours and I learnt so much. I would really recommend it to cup cake enthusiasts of any level. Donna was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and was happy to share all her know-how and copious amounts of equipment with me. I am not at all creative but really felt that I had achieved something creative by the end of the session. Can't wait for the next one !!

I have reviewed The Dining Club before, this is a little different - they catered my husband's 65th birthday birthday event this weekend and it was truly superb. Not only delicious food but I also made it even more difficult for them by needing everything gluten-free. They rose to the task and carried it off with aplomb. I cannot praise their outside catering operation highly enough - absolutely no compromise on the quality and originality of the food, all presented and served beautifully, with calm clockwork-precision timing and professionalism, making a truly special evening for everyone. So many guests actually properly marvelled at the food - 'normals' didn't even realise it was gluten free, Coeliac guests almost wept with gratitude at being able to eat such a range of delicious food, vegetarians could not believe that the vegetarian food was really vegetarian. Now, when you have people who are resigned to having to routinely accept compromises with their food being able to eat gorgeous food like normal people are accustomed.... that is special. It was so good it made me want to dream up another event just to be able to have this food again! I am so impressed, don't look any further because you will be too. Huge thanks to Scott & and Suzanne and their staff for making this so easy and enjoyable for us.

If you live in Deal and aren't a member of this club, you're crazy. This one-off dining experience is such a surprise for a small town like Deal. It’s not a restaurant that you just walk into. One must be a member to make a reservation. It costs £10 per year and the dinners are fixed menus at a fixed price. Visit their web page for details. My wife and I had the five-course dinner which happened to be Cuban that night. Members receive emailed menus of what’s coming up and cover a huge range of international dishes. Reservations can be hard to come by because the place is always full. Book well ahead.

Fantastic meal again, service brilliant. Great way to share a lovely evening with friends. Great concept and always a quality experience. Well done guys, we will see you soon. Xx
