My wife, my family and i went to the diner for our tea. At this point I must say it was a vary good decision. Once we entered the Diner the welcome we got made us feel very relaxed and that important feeling of being wanted. On looking at the menu we were faced with a variety of food e. g. chicken, burgers, fish, beef, etc. We went for burger, cheesey chip and two fish, all accompanied by homemade chips and onion rings. The only way i can describe what we got was "top class" freshly homemade food. The cod was surrounded in a "batter" the like that I have never tasted. Light crispy and complimented by the quality of the cod which as a result of how it was cooked just broke away in front of your knife. The chips were beautiful golden and cooked to perfection. There onion rings were made in the same high quality batter and just brought this ordinary meal to a different level. It is not very often that you find a place where everything comes together in order to make your meal memorable but this was one of them occasions. So if you are ever coming in direction of Fermanagh and it takes you near Ederney please do make a point of calling at the "Diner" you well have an enjoyable experience both on the part of the staff and most definitely the food you will receive. I will also let you into a secret "Don't leave without taking away some of their homemade bread" it is a BIT special. Thanks to all at the "Diner" for a excellent meal and the friendly welcome. R&J.

We struck out on a long drive from Derry. We all agreed it was time to find a breakfast spot. We came into a beautiful village and stopped to ask a pedestrian where’s a good restaurant in town. He said the Village Diner Just four doors done the street. It is a small restaurant but more than met our needs. Pretty soon the place filled up with friendly locals. The owner cook prepared a great breakfast of bacon and eggs. We were on our way after a short time at the diner. I was glad we got the tip from a friend of the Village Dinner.

There is little non-pub choice in quiet Ederney, so we tried The Diner one afternoon. It's on the Castlederg road, a few metres from the town crossroads. There is parking on the street nearby. It's a small, cosy place with rapid, friendly service, newspapers and a traditional Café offering, concentrating on Ulster fries and burgers. Unusually, scampi and wraps are available in what is a surprisingly wide menu. We had the "small" fry - a large meal, including chips, two rounds of toast each and a pot of tea. All fine, but the primary reason for the "excellent" rating is the value......Under £8 for two filling meals !!! I'm accustomed to paying about £10 for two coffees and pastries at any of the big coffee chains. Don't call this a "greasy spoon"; rather, "outstanding value".
