The Dine in West Lothian

Not very impressed we just had carry out and it was edible but the popadoms weren’t fresh they tasted mouldy and were soft the side order of chips were in a polystyrene box which turned them soggy the dips were ok except one the mint one is obviously made with peppermint flavouring you get for baking it’s awful Chicken curry was nothing to write home about was ordinary so all in dunno why it’s award winning was pretty rubbish.. this is the second time we ve carried out and I wasn’t great so will go elsewhere in future I’m afraid

We have been coming here for years and tonight decided another visit was needed. Wife didn't want a meal but was going to have a bit of my chicken pakora, waiter approached and said because you have all had the set menu she could not have any of the food. This has to be a complete and utter joke, one piece of chicken. Will I be back after my wife being treated like this I don't it

I never write reviews always a first. Ordered through just eat, waited an hour and a half, meal not delivered, need to get our money back through just eat, nightmare.

Fantastic food, friendly staff. As far as Indian cuisine this is the best in West Lothian. We tend to visit once a fortnight or every weekend if we can. Love it.

From arriving at the restaurant we were greeted with smiles and the staff were very attentive the. 3 courses for £12.95 was absolutely delicious and would highly recommend. We travel a lot and try different restaurants, we know good Indian food from bad this is definitely good

Service was poor an the food was average. Rang and booked a table for 1 @7pm. Eventually got seated at 7:45pm. Order taken at 8:20pm. When food arrived it was the wrong food…..

Food was nice and reasonably priced but took almost 3 hours to be delivered. We were quoted 60 minutes and it took 165. Ordered at 7pm and it arrived at 9:45pm. I appreciate it was a Saturday night but they shouldn’t have quoted 60 minutes. We phoned about 40 times for updates but they never answered the phone.

Doesn't look great from the outside but we decided to give it a go....well we are so glad we did as the food was excellent and very authentic.

Nice night out last night food good atmosphere had the chicken tikka salad but was too full up from the Chicken Pakora which was a healthy portion and the 2cnd best I have tasted Took my salad home which was advised by the staff and was pleasantly surprised at how good it tasted the next day for lunch Good restaurant 4 out of 5 for me will have no reservations about going back `well worth a visit 👍👍👍

Lovely meal at The Dine tonight in Broxburn. Meal was too big to finish so asked for my few bits chicken tikka, spoonfuls of sauce and chilli garlic naan to be wrapped up to take away. The bill came and was charged for the takeaway cartons! Managers rules I'm told and apparently Manager won't charge you next time pmsl. Maybe next will be charged to wash the dishes I ate with! Sorry The Dine but no tip left as I wasn't asked to pay for containers to take away the food I paid for... Won't be back!

The best Indian food I have ever tasted and the portions were fantastic, fast delivery and piping hot on arrival we will definitely order again when nearby.

The food took over a hour when the resturant was almost empty. Drink sent back 3 times due to a dirty glass Chapatis cold and like rubber. Had no check back on the table. Had a empty drink from the moment the mains came and no one come and offered another drink. Asked to speak to the manager who was super passive aggressive, rude and abrasive. He came to the table and shouted as us to pay in full and leave as we where causing trouble. When all we where going to ask was to take of £8.50 from the bill on the meal that wasnt eaten as it was inedible. Got told we where liars as the waitress did a check back which they didnt. Asked for a VAT receipt to be told they are not vat registered. Was being sick 20 minutes after consuming the food.

Had friends over last night got take away was outstanding food they said it was best Indian they’ve ever eat

We have ordered from here regularly and find the food to be good. However we will not order again from here. Tonight yet again our meal arrived without rice! This is the third time this has happened from here. We phoned and said we were really disappointed yet again this had happened. The guy on the phone apologised and said he would send rice over. No thanks our food would be cold and were hungry. We enquired about a refund and told to contact just eat! If you fancy getting half a meal order here if you want what you ordered avoid at all cost! There are just as good places available that can manage to get the order right!!!!!😡😡😡

Picked up set menu for 2 last night. The madras currys were outstanding. Asked for extra garlic on nan bread and got exactly what I asked for. Been going here for my curry for a few years now best in West Lothian by far.

Lots of friends recommend this restaurant but I can't agree with their opinion of the Dine. Poppadom were slightly stale, the chutney served with it was like water the rest of the pickle tray served with them were nothing out of the ordinary. I had Lamb bhunna for my main and whilst it was not horrible it was no way a bhunna and I have my doubts as to whether it was actually lamb, and the worst was finding a piece of plastic which was not small in my chapati. To give credit this was quickly resolved. To cap it all I had really had indigestion that night and most of the next day.

If your ever passing or on holiday in the area, definitely go in here for dinner it was amazing, best curry we’ve ever had and service was fab. Great for family’s also. Suitable for everyone large menu and they do a really good 3 course set menu through the week. Really reasonably price definitely recommend!

I always went to my local curry house in South Queensferry but it was hit and miss if you got a good takeaway or not! My neightbour, who is Indian recommended Dine so I gave it a shot. 2 years down the line, always had top notch food. Tasty and hot when delivered. Certainly the best Curry house within my local and wider area.

We love locally but are sad to say we’ve never tried this place till this evening. It won’t be our last order though. We order butter chicken for children and a lamb jalfrezi with garlic naan breads. My kids ate all their dinner. Butter chicken was tasty and just the right spice. The lamb jalfrezi was perfectly spiced for me and garlic naan fresh and delicious. Quick service and really good food. Would recommend.

First class takeaway of chicken madras , chicken Ceylon, and chicken tikka , mixed pakora and nan breads, everything was delicious with very generous portions. Well done guys keep it up , we really appreciate the quality of food you are supplying.

Boy that was gorgeous! PPE / social distancing very well managed and observed. Food ready on time for us to collect and was hot. Absolutely recommend! Price pretty good as well for that quality of food. Their portions are very generous so we have tea for tomorrow as well :)

I went with my wife sat 18/1/20, restaurant was busy great atmosphere, service and food was brilliant, free pickle tray and popodoms b4 starter arrived and hot plates for the main which is a good touch. Cobra on tap as well as wine and spirits, 1st time dining here and will defo be back soon.

Our first visit to Dine was over a year ago following the newspaper article written by Tam Cowan highly recommending the food in this establishment. We so enjoyed our meal that we have returned on many an occasion to enjoy sampling other dishes. There is an excellent variety of dishes on the menu catering for all needs (our son is vegan) and the food is always of a high standard and well presented. The service too is always great with ‘free’ popadoms to whet the appetite! Highly recommended to all curry lovers and novices alike.......will continue to visit.

We’ve been to the Dine many times and regularly order take away, the food is consistently of a high standard, their meat is always cooked to perfection, melt in the mouth lamb and chicken. The naans are light and not stodgy and my favourite dish the Goan fish curry is outstanding. I’ve given up trying any new INDIAN restaurants in West Lothian and Edinburgh as I’m always left disappointed in comparison. Service is always great and all the staff are really friendly.

Me and my wife went to the resturant last friday. The food was delicious. We order chicken kadhai and lamb daroo brandy owwww it was so nice love it. service was excellent .

The Dine provided food for a big party and Quality, Quantity and taste was good. They came on time and took everything away with them and kept area clean.

Three of us recently visited this restaurant, one of us was drinking alcohol. Three meals with soft drinks, from the set menu and four pints of alcohol came to just under £60, great value for money and good staff makes for a nice meal. Would recommend a visit.

Ok, I've tried many Indian/ Bangladeshi restaurants.this place is simply streets ahead of most restaurants in the lothians. Starting with the chutneys and the pickles very fresh and tasty.this is always a great start to your meal.the chutney for the week kebab was very complimentary to the lamb seek kebab. The south indian garlic chilli curry (something I normally dont have was packed with immense flavour and the consistency of the masala was perfect with quality tikka chicken. To balance the taste buds Finished with the gulab jamun and ice cream. Verging on the perfect dinner. Well done to this restaurant, for great food and great price.

We recently tried this restaurant for a change, as our allegiance lay with another Indian restaurant, not too far away. We were delighted we made the decision to do so, as the food and staff were fantastic. The food was very fresh and the Naan was up there with the best I’ve had. A little quiet for a Friday, but I put this down to it being very warm outside. Would definitely return and recommend the chilli garlic chicken.

So I'm American. My favorite easy food is takeaway, as a given. I've lived in the UK for five years and I've tried everything, curries, Chinese, Japanese, you name it. I chose the fine as a location for my birthday dinner and invited all my friends. All of the food was lovely, the staff were great. Drinks and prices fantastic. This is my favorite place to eat when I need good food. Always on the top of my list. I reccomend a simple chicken tikka with a sweet peshwari nan. Their nans are one of a kind and the texture amzing. They also do a lovely saag paneer! I love this place. So happy to live nearby.

I had always used the same Indian takeaway in Broxburn, not only because I liked it but also because I was ignorant to make a change from what I was used to.

Excellent service and amazing food. Staff is very polite and the food always fresh and very tasty. The app is easy to use to place an order and waiting time is reasonable. Always happy customer;)

We ordered a take-away from here a couple of weeks ago and we love nothing more than a good 'indian takeaway'.

Ten of us ate here on a family get together. The staff were welcoming and we had excellent service with our quite complicated order. Everyone enjoyed their meals and drinks. There was good choice of dishes and accompaniments. I could recommend the tandoor dishes. The cost was very reasonable at just over £160, including two bottles of wine and a variety of soft drinks.

Visited with family and enjoyed another excellent meal at ‘The Dine’ The Dine does not disappoint and either take away or sit in their food in consistently excellent. There set three course £10.95 menu Mon through Thursday is extensive and the food is superb. We enjoyed lamb Balti ( melt in the mouth lamb) chicken Karahi and Butter Chicken masala, all were delicious and there tandoori lamb chops starter ( not included) are fantastic. The Dine competes well with other more well known establishments in either Edinburgh or Glasgow and Broxburn is lucky to have such a fabulous restaurant with a chef who is clearly at the top of his/her game. Try it you won’t be disappointed.

Would highly recommend the Dine. Best restaurant I've been to in ages. I have been twice this month. First time was a la carter and second was their buffet on a Sunday. Couldn't fault either meals. If you don't try it you're missing out on a wee gem if you love Indian food.

We ate here recently for the first time and I can assure any readers that it will certainly not be the last time we visit that wonderful restaurant.

The Dine is very welcoming and provides excellent food, with a good choice of mild, medium, hot and very hot dishes. We have visited frequently. The service is excellent and there is plenty of choice both on the set-price menu and on the main menu. The decor is unusual but tasteful and the service is good and usually reasonably fast. It is well worth a small detour if you are around the Edinburgh end of West Lothian.

We are visit in the Edinburgh Livingston on the way I see the Indian restaurant in broxburn the we decide to go for dinner It was fantastic bright very comfortable sofa friendly staff food was10/10 .

My boyfriend loves Indian food so we’ve been to a fair few but this is by far our favourite. Service is always excellent and the food is even better. Would recommend to anyone.

My wife and I were there on Friday 15th February at 6.00pm, the food was fantastic, the staff were very friendly, we had the set meal which was very good value for three courses, would recommend highly and we will certainly be going again, thank you The Dine.

Another great meal at Dine. We go quite often mid-week and it’s always great food with really good service. The food is always fresh and well prepared and presented.

This is our local Indian restaurant and is by far and away the best we've ever been to. We dine here often and have never had a bad meal. Delicious, fresh food in lovely surroundings with great staff and a big menu choice. You won't be disappointed!

Visited with my husband between Christmas and New Year, the restaurant was quiet but the food was great, we had a couple of the house specialities chicken Jaipuri and chilli, garlic chicken, both are highly recommend along with the garlic coriander naan.

Wow - our first take away from “The Dine”. The food was hot on delivery and so deliciously spicy and authentic. Our family thoroughly enjoyed - no doubt we will be back! Thank you 😊
