The Dilraj St Annes in Fylde

We order from here quite regularly on a Sunday. Food always arrives piping hot and fresh. Curries are extremely tasty with big flavours. Delivery drivers always efficient, pleasant and polite. ‘Thank you :)’

The chicken tikka wasn't cooked enough I had no choice but to bin it that could have made me very ill if I would have eaten that simple thing like this shouldn't happen definitely won't be returning

We received a leaflet through our door and the menu immediately pulled us in. We placed an order at 6.55pm on a Friday night and it came within the hour, pipping hot and fresh. The flavours were absolutely gorgeous. We couldn’t fault the meal at all. We can’t wait to order again in the future already. Thank you!

Almost faultless! Very tasty naan bread, poppadums, chutney and mixed pickle. Probably the best onion bhajis we've ever had very big and fluffy, not greasy at all. The saag paneer was not to our taste, just a personal thing, it was very well cooked, just something that didn't gel with us. The lamb handi was quite tender and very flavoursome. It was advertised as spicy, but was really rather mild, for us. Next time we would ask for something a bit hotter. The delivery was faultless, everything arrived hot and well packaged, the delivery guy was very friendly. We will definitely order again.

We haven’t been to this take away for over 10 years. We ordered on 4th Sep. And had tandoori chicken masala onion bajis and poppadoms. The meal was superb. We ordered delivery and it was hot and on time. It was just over £14 and free delivery. It’s was gorgeous and we will be back in a week. Well done Dilraj. Thanks. A good friend recommended this take away. Thankfully with good reason. We’ve eaten at several Indian take always. In St Annes and this is a country mile better than the rest. Food arrivals on time, was exactly as described, fresh, really tasty, good portions. What more could you ask for? Will definitely be on our regular order list!!!

Visited this place when in the area and what a pleasant surprise! Doesn't look anything from outside however, looks can be deceiving. Set just a few minutes away from main town. It has open kitchen and you can see the chefs cooking. Menu is extensive and not expensive. 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 sides and poppadum's all for £24 Food was beautiful. Portions were large. Believe they are connected to Imli which is one of our favourite dine in when in the area. Phone was going constant when I was waiting. Would highly recommend and would return

Ordered here twice now, both times have been faltless, been trying to find a good Indian for a while now and all the ones ive been to have been way bellow par or try too much to make it authentic but the dilraj has achieved that with ease. Will definitely be using this place as my local takeaway from now on, whether you get £20 worth of food or £5, its worth the money.

Had a prawn chilli masala, rice and a nan bread from here, in all my time of eating Indian food this has to be the worst ever, full of artificial colouring, sugar in the nan bread. Rang them up and asked if they put colour in the food and they was in denial at first and then admitted it along with the sugar in the nan bread. This food was not even fit for human consumption, do not be fooled by the food they serve you, if you do your research you will find that colouring in food is bad for you, sugar in nan bread???? How bad!!! Stay away!! I also believe this is part of imli restaurant in st annes, again full of colour and if anyone thinks that is authentic Indian food then they need to think again.

I have ordered from here 3 times now and i cannot fault it - Food is really tasty I can recommend the £20 for 2 great value and they are happy to change some of the dishes around to suit you which is nice. I’m now excited to try all the dishes they have now : ) Thanks keep up the good work.

Food was 10/10 and regularly have our curry’s from here and never have any complaints, will always have our curry’s from here! Would recommend to everyone!

Being unable to have a meal at our favourite Indian restaurant during the covid restrictions, we are so grateful to have the takeaways from Dilraj. Last week we had meals for 4 family members with varying strengths of heat and all were perfect again. Thanks to Graham and all the staff for excellent food and service. See you again soon. Our very first time trying this takeaway. I’m critical if my food isn’t right, it was excellent! The king prawns were quality, clearly not the frozen supermarket type. Flavourful and delicious. We will definitely use The Dilraj again!

Monday night no shopping in lock down live local , never eat take away but fancied something spicy instead of home cooking . Omg this was brilliant tasty fresh loved it the problem now is that we will be take away addicts . Loved it great service and value credit where’s credit due superb

This has quickly become our "go to" Indian takeaway on our frequent trips to Lytham St. Annes. Food is always of a high quality, comes in plentiful portions and is excellent value for money. The onion bhaji are particularly excellent and the dhansak dishes are also very good however we've sampled many of the dishes on the menu and never been disappointed. Highly recommended.

During our visit to St Anne’s we ordered from this restaurant, not only did they cater amazingly to our child’s nut allergy but the food was also some of the best we’ve ever had! The waiting time was reasonable especially for a Saturday night and the food was still hot when we got it home. Overall a great experience and would definitely order again as the food was amazing!

Fantastic curry every time. We have ordered from the Dilraj on numerous occasions since my Parents moved to St Annes a couple of months ago and it has never disappointed. Good value, great food and friendly, efficient service! Will be ordering a takeaway again this evening

Due to the Corona virus we have been unable to frequent our favourite Indian restaurant, Imli, so have been having takeaways from Dilraj every week instead. Of course the standard is as good as Imli, being owned by the same family. We ordered meals for a family of four on Friday, each being different, and in the words of our son and daughter in law, they were amazing. They were delivered when said, piping hot and so tasty. We ordered a takeaway today and were told that it would be delivered ‘within the hour’. We then called them again after an hour and 10 mins had passed and we were told that it was ready but they were waiting for the driver to collect it. We then called again, by this time an hour and a half had passed since we placed the order. We were told that the food had left 7 mins ago. The food then arrived around 10 mins later. Bearing in mind that it is less than 10 mins walk from our house this is ridiculous. When the food it was ALMOST COLD. We have been ordering from here for over 10 years so are very disappointed. Over an hour and 40 mins for cold food!!!!

Tried the Dilraj for the first time tonight and all I can say is wow absolutely fantastic. My son had the chicken and chips from the english menu he loved it and myself and mum had the £20 set meal which was delicious and so much of it we will be eating it for a couple of days. Well done Dilraj I will definitely be a regular from now on

I went onto a local Facebook group to ask for recommendations and Dilraj popped up a few times. I have tried almost every Indian in the area (on justeat) after 2 years of being here and never ever been impressed until now.The person answering the phone was pleasant, the food came without 30 mins on a Saturday night at 7pm!! And the food was hot most important. It tasted fresh and was absolutely delicious. I had a paneer korma, mushroom rice and garlic naan and I can’t stop thinking about hahaha. Which Is why I’m leaving a review.10/10 will never be going elsewhere. Thanks so much

I had been disappointed with a couple of meals last year, but decided to try the Dilraj again. I'm glad I did, the service was prompt and polite and the meals were once again delicious. The best Indian food takeaway in St. Annes :-)

We've been using the Dilraj for years, but the last two meals have been very disappointing. The pathia, which has been my staple choice for years was phal hot, and then two days ago we had a passanda that could only be described as a korma.I think we'll be giving it a miss for awhile.

What a lovely place and host.Food was absolutely gorgeous. We had the akbora and tikka masala. Was one of the best Indian takeaways we have had..Well done on winning your award for best take away We will definitely return if we are in the areaThank you so much

Had a take away tonight, Sunday 24/2/19 It was not good, no flavour, the chicken tikka had no taste, the rice was soggy, it's like they forgot to put any spices in. The sauce was like a gravy that had cornflour in it to thicken it up, I have used the Dilraj for some time now, and this was the second time I threw it in the bin. I will wait and see what others have to say over the next few weeks before deciding if I ever use it again.

Don't know why I've never rated this place before - we have visited it so many times - perhaps because it has been such a feature in our lives for over 20 years. Started visiting this place when we lived in LSA but still prefer to get our takeaway from here although we live around 8 miles away now- think this speaks for itself as to how good the food is from this establishment.

This place is amazing delivering quality food every time. We had the Tikka set meal for 2 and in the words of Craig Revel Horwood it was A-MAY-ZING we just don’t know how they do it for the price and they deliver too......Thumbs up on all counts

Plenty of establishments offering Indian cuisine locally, but the Dilraj are in a league of their own. I could only give it more praise if it had Spongebob on cooking duties but you can't have it all. How do I describe it in one word - bodacious!

First time trying here tonight, place was spotless , friendly staff and food was spot on, will def be back!

We ordered a delivery for a group of 8 of us. Big order and everything was absolutely perfect - delivered on time with everything correct.

It is some years since we had an Indian takeaway and we decided on the Dilraj as we remembered that a close friend used to order from there regularly.

Tried a few different take aways always return to the DILRAJ as good is always good and they are very happy to tailor dish to suit your needs as I like hot they make a very hot curry that’s not even in the menu we eat vegetable bread with again is not in menu but never a problem to sort great staff and friendly service

Had friends over for tea and we decided to have Indian food. I Have always used Dilraj as the first port of call for take away. We were not disappointed. We had the most excellent food,fresh,hot and the best tasting Indian food I have eaten to date.

The Dilraj is by far the best Indian I have ever come across. The food is divine, especially the chicken korma and chicken pakora with the delicious red sauce. They make everything exactly how you want it and always give a fast and friendly service. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!

We have eaten out or had takeaways from various establishments over the years but this one surpasses them all. Polite staff, delivery and the most A-May-Zing food. Piping hot, beautifully prepared and excellent value for money. Tonight we had the Tandoori set meal for two and the potion sizes are more than generous. If you like curry then you really need to try The Dilraj, you won’t be disappointed.

Dilraj has been recommended to us since we moved here from Blackburn. We have tried it 3 times and been disappointed each time. The chicken tikka dishes are not what we are used to and appear as thick slices of chicken rather than large cubes of succulent tikka cooked in the tandoor. Dishes marked by a two chilly symbol on the menu are so mild as to be tasteless. Lack of seasoning and really bland dishes I really can't try this place again.

I went here for a takeaway after a day out in Blackpool the food was very good and the waiter was very nice and polite.

We have been using this take away for decades. It never fails to please. Always the best quality ingredients and cooked fresh to order.

La diferencia en el servicio fue significativo. Educado, amable y muy servicial. Pedimos el mismo platos como las que había tirado desde la primera toma forma y nos dieron exactamente lo que pedimos. Era muy sabrosa. Pedazos de pollo y verduras. Sin duda volveremos.

Cuando acabas de llegar en un coche y salir son recibidos con deliciosos aromas. La comida era genial, no me puedo quejar de nada.

Tenía varios curries decepcionante ya se muda a Latham los últimos sin embargo donde desde el DilRaj y nunca hemos mirado atrás buenas porciones viene caliente y el sabor es increíble en todo lo que pedimos es el látigo y el al vindaloo panes son increíbles. Realmente recomendaría este hotel a cualquiera indain sigan el buen trabajo chicos

Nunca tuvimos una comida india antes, pero será hacerlo de nuevo. El chico detrás del mostrador me explicó lo que estaba todo y nos guió a través de nuestras elecciones. La comida era excelente, y hasta nos dieron un plato gratuito samba. Fue una comida divertida agradable que vamos a tener de nuevo. Cinco estrellas.

Entrega dentro de los 40 minutos, como lo habían prometido. Caliente, fresco, delicioso cordero passanda, pollo tikka madras, pan Naan y arroz. Sin duda ordenar desde aquí de nuevo pronto! Personal amable y eficiente.

After struggling having not booked anywhere, myself and 6 other family members including 2 children where only to pleased to have been lucky to try here. The food was absolutely delicious, flavour in every bite. The staff very well organised and made us all feel very special, especially with free sample dishes and ladies even ended the night with a complementary bayliss. All very reasonably priced.

Have been going to the Dilraj since it opened around 20 years ago and have seldom had cause to complain. It is just good food, well made. Don't waste your time going anywhere else. They are always busy though and I prefer to pick up as I think you get served quicker. It's no surprise that the boss went on to open the Imli restaurant. Saj and his team serve great food at both locations.

I ordered a meal at the dilraj yesterday and yet again it was amazing. The food was amazing I had a chicken rogan josh with a nan bread and my wife had a chicken tikka handi and she absolutely loved it.

Took an hour and a half to arrive, stone cold so had to be microwaved and the naan bread was rock hard!This has happened the last couple of times I've ordered from here now.Used to love this place but they have definitely lost their touch!

Took ages for delivery to arrive (nearly 1 1/2 hrs after getting told it could be up to 1 hour.chicken balti so hot it was unreal never had a balti this hot in all my life just didn't taste like a balti at all.The chicken on the mixed starter was tough and stone cold and the naan bread was mushy and well undercooked was like chewing rubber.my girlfriends mum recommend this place a while back but after we told her we had ordered and wasn't impressed she said it had been disappointing the last time she ordered one and had gone off the takeway.maybe the place is losing its touch.

Have tried many take aways but none are even close to the taste of dilraj. I always have the dansak and mushroom rice and my partner has tried several currys, all of which were great. Defo worth a go if you like a good curry

We had a take-away last night, and once again, the food did not disappoint. We live in Blackpool yet choose to drive to St Annes to collect our food (despite the numerous Indian Take-Aways in Blackpool; this is head and shoulders above the rest). The service is excellent - open kitchen so you can watch your food being cooked - and has complimentary coffee and Bombay mix, whilst you wait. We had popadums (a lovely surprose as these were complimentary), curry, rice and a naan (Pathia, Jalfreizi and Korma Curries). The popadums were lovely and crisp, not greasy at all. The Chicken Pathia (lovely Tikka Chicken) was soft and spicy, with a good kick - not at all harsh; very flavour-some, yet packs a good punch. The Lamb Jalfreizi was beautiful with fresh onions, capsicum and chilli peppers and the lamb (as usual) was soft and tender - not an ounce of fat. My daughter loved her Lamb Korma, just right - not too creamy. There was no grease floating on any of the curries and the rice crumbled apart, with the added flavour of cardamon and bay. The naan, was lovely and soft, crunchy around the edges, but again not at all greasy. We have been using this take-away for many, many years and would thoroughly recommend it.

You have always been the favourite Indian Takeout for many years chosen because you were the best and certainly not the nearest from Lytham Town centre. I am very disappointed the sauce was bland to say the least chips were like black matchsticks and looked like they had been cooked several times. Phoned up to air my concerns told we will sort it next time we are part of a large local family there won't be a next time shame on you.Positive points onion bhajis were very nice delivery girl very pleasant.

I have been visiting the Dilraj for 14 years as it is my favourite local takeaway. Last night I ordered a chicken tikka passander, lamb tikka bhuna, garlic naan bread and chips, as usual it was an excellent meal. The staff are always friendly and there is Bombay mix available while you are waiting and you can also have a cup of coffee. I would recommend the Dilraj to any locals or people visiting St Annes.

I just moved to St Annes 1 month ago and I have been to 3 different Indian takeaways an restaurants but this place was absolutely fantastic as the food was very nice and cheaper than other places around the area. I will definitely be eating from here more often

Terrible, three items missing from the order , very negative response on contacting them - told to wait at least an hour.Some of the food was nearly cold, some inedible and some of the prices a rip off for content of the dish.My worst ever eating experience !!!!!!!!

Weekly Saturday teatime visit, as is the norm excellent service & quality food. This is cooked in front of you in the open plan kitchen. The best take away on the Fylde Coast in my opinion. If you like your food from here also try Imli restraunt on Wood Street, same owner, same quality of food & service.

I have a weekly treat from the Dilraj take away and I am never disappointed.The staff are welcoming and friendly with smiles all round.The menu is great but my favourite is the chicken tikka pathia, sweet and hot, always fresh ingredients, cooked in the open kitchen if you want to watch. Excellent value.Would highly recommend, and I'll be back next week.

I have been visiting this takeaway since 2002. The standard of the food is really excellent. There is a large selection, which it is enjoyable to watch the staff prepare in front of you. I have a large family and so we would often have a selection of starters, and then Korma, Chicken Tikka masala, king prawn Biryani etc. As it's prepared for you individually they will make it with more or less cream or spice etc. Coffee is offered as you arrive, but i prefer the bombay mix. The chicken is fresh and soft, the kebabs and sauce with it is excellent. The specials are good, but overall it's the quality and variation of food is fantastic, and i would happily recommend this place and visit in the near future.

We use this take away on regular basis and never been disappointed. The food here is absolutely fantastic. We've been using this place for over 15 years and can honestly say that we've never had a bad meal from here. As my other half is a fussy eater, these lads would do anything for you. Love it

Not had Indian takeaway for a while and Dilraj was always a firm choice however, on this occasion I've been left disappointed. The chicken tikka main on previous occasions came with a green salad and the two lovely red and yellow sauces there was nothing !. The passanda had lovely big pieces of chicken tikka but the sauce was non eventful and the chips looked like they had been cooked then cooled but then cooked and cooled again resulting in soggy chipsters. The keema rice was good though. I'll not return in a hurry we've had better quality which was cheaper with free poppadoms thrown in. Overall a shame it used to be excellent

Had a takeaway with the family after a hard days work and I was underwhelmed unfortunately. The meal was average. The naan was dry and not soft and doughy at all. The chicken seemed cheap also. Won't be going again for a long long time sorry because of those reasons.

Having recently moved to the area for work colleagues recommended this curry house & I won't order from anywhere else these days. Food is always fresh, hot and delicious. I recommend the prawn puri and the tarka dhal though I've never had s bad meal from here.

I think I've always used the Dilraj since around 2008 (?). Having been a resident of St Anne's since 1976, I've had Indian cuisine from almost every Indian restaurant over the last 35yrs, and the Dilraj is one of the best, if not the best; being the most personable, and friendly Indian restaurant takeaway in town.The Chicken Shashlik and Chicken Tikka Tandorri are my favourites, especially if you like nice spice, not too hot, but large chicken pieces (Shashlik has more onion, the Tandorri is full flavour and large chicken indulgence).A smart choice for any Indian cuisine connoisseur. They often chuck in extra freebies!!!!!

We always go here when we fancy a curry! We have tried quite a few different dishes and have really enjoyed them all. My favourite is the chicken tikka and the peshwari naan! It's good that with some of the curries you get rice with it!

Take-aways do come better than this. We, as a family have been using this fantastic Indian Foodery for some years now and have never been disappointed. There was one famous occasion two/three years ago during Christmas week, when, unusually for St.Annes we were snowed in....it was terrible, no cars on the road, bloody freezing, everyone tucked up in their homes. Silence reigned. So we sent for a curry!!!! I said to my wife, no chance, probably frozen in themselves! Sure enough, after an hour and a half, as forecast, up the drive came a lonely sole, wrapped up to the nines, slip sliding on the snow and ice, with big box of exceeding good curries various. I was amazed and delighted. Gave BIG tip.The food as ever was superb. As I understand it, the boss was encouraged and cajoled to open a restaurant in St.Annes, and they have. Absolutely excellent and called 'Immli', Wood Street. There is not a better curry house in the country!!!! of this type.

WOW! At last I've tried the Dilraj and found wonderful Indian cooking right on my doorstep. Last night I had Ali's Special. Beautiful King Prawns in a spicy tomato based sauce....they were DELICIOUS and cooked to perfection. The prawns came with gorgeous fried rice (not greasy at all) and a fresh garlic naan and popadums with pickles and a large fresh salad. I can cook myself and it was such a treat to have this quality served up to me. It was also excellent value for money.I have tried the rest, but now I have found the best and I will definitely be back.

I have sampled most Indian take awayr in the area and the food quality of this is far better than the rest. Often order chicken tikka massala which is lovely. Ample portions and very tasty
