Pretty disappointed. Our server was pretty bad. Thos would be a 4 or maybe 5 if we had one of the others. We asked several times for the second plate of pastries and never received it. Dirty dishes sat for 30 minutes. No water refills. We finally had to ask someone else for the check. Hard to swallow paying a set gratuity for this meal. What was supposed to be one of the highlights of this trip for my wife was truly a big miss.

Had a superb waiter! Wish I got his name! But very professional and friendly! Definitely cherry on top of the experience!

I love this store. Never a visit in London without a step in to Fortnum and Mason. The atmosphere inside is wow. The quality of the tea 5🌟 and the windows to street view a piece of art!

Yesterday we had a great experience with my friends at the Jubilee Tea Room at Fortnum. My lovely friends took me to afternoon tea and it became an unforgetable memory for me. Overall, atmosphere was very lovely, everything served was fresh and delicious. The presentation of the food was really nice too. It is a bit pricey but totally worth the money. Special thanks to Nagihan who provided an amazing service and guidance.

Everything LOOKED fantastic - the food, the venue, and even the dishes. However, I do regret spending £82 on this experience. I’ve had a lot better for a lot less. Two of the three sandwiches were quite bland. The Coronation Chicken and Smoked Trout and Chive Cream Cheese sandwiches were definitely the standouts. The staff were really kind and helpful, and the pianist was wonderful, but the food would prevent me from returning.

We enjoyed afternoon tea to celebrate our anniversary. Scones were very tasty and we got refills. Service was good as well. The takeaway box is very cute.

Well what can I say elegance and service at its best

The number of options for afternoon tea in London is truly significant. Yes, there are less expensive places, but for us this was a special occasion and we wanted to enjoy the full experience with all the craft and opulence. Honestly, I did not have high expectations since so many people rave about everything online, but I really did enjoy our time from the warm scones to the smoked trout finger sandwiches. The piano playing in the background added a lovely touch and really set the tone. We came at 11:30, which turned out to be perfect, and stayed for about an hour and a half as the time just flew by. I was surprised by how filling it all was. Absolutely delicious.

So fun and delicious! We took our 4 children and they had a lovely children’s tea option. They loved every minute and so did we!

The perfect spot for a delicious and special afternoon tea. We went for my birthday so it made the price feel more worth it. That being said, the service is excellent and there isn’t a detail missed so it’s a great experience.

A perfect tea with wonderful selections of both tea and foods to accommodate every preference! Better that Claridges or Connaught, in my opinion, and I really appreciated that the tables are not crowded together and the space is filled with natural light. Memorable!

This was our first experience having afternoon tea at Fortnum & Mason. My sister and I took our mum for her 60th birthday present. We had such a lovely time. The food was delicious and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing.

Mediocre compared to the amazing experience from a few years ago. No more cake cart, the most average Scotch egg ever… Dry scones (I always get the savoury ones and in the past they were so addictive they should be a regulated substance). This place was an institution and now I can’t recommend it any more. Why? Shrinkflation? It’s not any cheaper than top afternoon tea places.

Luxury delicacies, but in some cases cheap

The place itself is amazing—very beautiful and rich in history. However, our experience took a negative turn right from the start. When we arrived to claim our reservation, the hostess looked at us as if evaluating whether we were “suitable” for the upscale setting on the fourth floor. She then said, “Please take a look at the menu, and if you’re sure you’d like to stay, I’ll get you a table.” We found this response quite unwelcoming and disrespectful, which ultimately led us to leave. It was a disappointing experience, and we truly expected a more hospitable attitude.

A simply perfect brunch! 5 out of 5 without hesitation. The setting is elegant and refined, just like Fortnum & Mason, and the service is impeccable, attentive without being overbearing. The dishes were delicious, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Special mention goes to the Eggs Benedict and the fresh pastries—a true delight! An experience not to be missed during a visit to London. I will definitely return!

I do feel there should be a dress policy for guests. I don't mean dress up formally but not track suits. It was a real treat to go there; as part of experience to just make a bit of an effort. However, many people don't bother. Servers were nice & just a lovely treat

Having visited the Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon before, I expected a refined experience, but this time it fell short. While the food was good, there are equally enjoyable (and far more reasonably priced) afternoon teas in London. The strict no-sharing policy was frustrating—understandable given the refills, but the lack of flexibility was disappointing. Service was another letdown; the servers were difficult to understand and did nothing to enhance the experience. For the price, I expected much better. Wouldn’t return.

The live piano music adds a wonderful touch, enhancing the overall ambiance. The biggest downside? A 12.5% surcharge added to the bill without any clear explanation. Given the high-end reputation of Fortnum & Mason, this feels in poor taste and slightly dampens the experience.

My family and I enjoyed very much of our afternoon tea experience at the Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon. We especially enjoyed the savory afternoon tea as this was quite unique compared to other afternoon tea sets only offered sweet delicacy. Service was attentive and excellent. Ambience was first class. A must go experience even it is only once in a lifetime.

It is a place to go if you want to treat your loved ones! At least that is what I do. Visited a few times in the last couple of years and they do not fail to impress every time. Wonderful food and speciality cocktails with great service to match. It’s an experience rather than just a place to have food and drinks.

I have frequented this salon many times, I would say this time the attention to detail hasn't been the same. The cake table has now been removed and replaced with Macaroons..not my favourite thing. I've had better experiences overall but still a good place to try the afternoon tea experience

I wish I had gotten everyone's names. Fortnum and Mason, in general, is the stuff dreams are made of! Now add afternoon tea to that! Wow! I had a little tea lesson and tasting by a lovely girl, originally from Seattle, before my tea started. That was really fun and she was great. My waiter was also amazing and so friendly. The food was great! I loved the sandwiches and scones best! The sweets on top were a but heavy, but I find that to be generally true at other afternoon teas. It was truly so beautiful! The pictures shown online don't do this place justice! And how I loved the China! Shopping is wonderful. The store is just glorious! Thank you!

I’m gluten free and the menu options were wonderful. The scones were delicious and I was celebrating with a friend who had the traditional afternoon tea. I didn’t miss out on anything. We were offered additional items as needed, so we were completely stuffed as we left. Definitely go with an appetite! We will be back!

115€ for tea, basic and tasteless sandwiches and cakes that are nothing more than very sweet. At this price, you expect an unforgettable experience, which was not our case at all. Not to mention that the piano in the hall is too loud. In short, in my opinion there are better things in London for less money. In summary: we can clearly do without it and above all we have the impression of having fallen into a good tourist trap.

Ah so disappointing! We’d been waiting since before Christmas for this! We booked afternoon tea for the second time as the first time (a few years back) had been outstanding. This time round all the little perks were gone!…….the pianist and the amazing box of cakes given to you (after the tea - as well as) as a treat to take home. This is what made it special and the price all the more reasonable. Sadly today there was none of that and I’m sorry to say the tea was nothing more than average. Nil exciting. The sandwiches were classic, the scones small (x2) were cool not warm and the cake selection was poor (we left a few as they tasted rubbish - tasteless and really bland!) So disappointing Fortnum & Mason. We expect more for the money we pay. It was nothing more than style over substance. Everything felt mass produced. Would sadly no longer recommend!

Our waitress was amazing, she alone deserves 5 stars. But the experience overall was disappointing. We went for my birthday and it started off by them barely acknowledging us, then seating us late. The staff forgot twice to bring me a tea cup, then one of our tea cakes was really off (either the ingredients had spoilt or someone used wayyyy too much baking soda), and the other staff forgot (again, a few times) to bring our tea sandwiches. I wanted to love this experience because we’ve gone for afternoon tea all over the world, and this was supposed to be the crème de la crème. But it was a bit of a letdown unfortunately because the overall service was far inferior to what I had expected.

We had high tea here over the summer and it was absolutely wonderful! I have a severe treenut allergy but was thrilled to find that they have a nut free menu. The staff were absolutely fantastic, being sure to acknowledge my food allergy, and multiple members of the staff came out to our table to assure us that everything I was eating was nut free. As someone who is very careful with allergies, I felt so safe here and it was so exciting to get to partake in all of the elements of high tea while not fearing for my life. In addition, everything was delicious and the variety of different pastries, scones, etc. that we received was amazing. Definitely a must do if you are visiting London - we all agreed it was one of the highlights of our trip!

Afternoon tea at Fortnum and Mason. Very pretty atmosphere to enjoy some English classics. Food was very good and service is nice. You may have to wait 10 mins or so. Scones and clotted cream with lemon spread was out of this world. The sandwiches are good and you can order as many times as you need. We had high tea as well and the lobster dish was creamy goodness.

Had a wonderful afternoon tea. From entering F & M staff were professional, polite and helpful, couldn't help but purchase a few treats before the main event. Arriving at the tea room staff were courteous, polite and engaging. We were shown to our table, the decor was tasteful and calming. The service we exceptional, our waitress was lovely, so helpful. Dietry requirements were met. A good range of sandwiches, scones and cakes and you could ask for more. The champagne was of a good quality not acid. To be honest its one of the best afternoon teas i have had. Calm, relaxing, tasteful and tasty. Well worth it.

We visited today for our daughter's belated birthday present! We were served by a lovely young lady called Matilda! Who went above and beyond with checking in on us ...more rounds of anything we like and top ups of tea and hot chocolate! The birthday cake was a lovely touch. My long-awaited afternoon tea🥹♥️✨ Tea, scones, savouries, sweets... whatever you choose, it's delicious. Each dish is voluminous and rich in flavor, so it will fill you up. I pride myself on having a sweet tooth, but it was hard to eat the sweets on the top shelf without a drink. It's quite sweet compared to Japanese sweets... Since I couldn't finish all the food, I asked them to wrap up some to take home, and they included a few macarons as a bonus. The waiter was very kind and made us feel comfortable.

Sandwiches and scones are made up and the sweets are too sweet. Music is played on tape, not live. Better to spend a little more money and go to an afternoon tea at a famous hotel. A rip-off restaurant that caters to tourists.

I am just sad that the scones was NOT warm. Everything just didn’t feel fresh. For £80 a person, I expected more and better. They look nice but didn’t taste good.

Such a wonderful tea time experience in London. They have the most diverse and customized choice of afternoon tea time (including specific diet). The service is fabulous, the food and the tea tasty. Overall i still love coming to fortnum for tea, the finger sandwiches however is a bit dry and the egg sandwich is a bit under seasoned. The staff were very attentive to my needs and he always made sure i am taken care of. I forgot his name but kudos to him for making my birthday special also for the birthday cake.

Excellent to see the stuff inside and try some tea upstairs, but unless you are being read this review by your executive assistant you are probably not going to afford anything besides the ground floor tea products, which are good, but can be found elsewhere much cheaper

If you are wondering where to go for afternoon tea, please refer to this. Whether you consider it based on Japan's price level or taste level, I don't really recommend this afternoon tea. We recommend shopping for tea on the ground floor. There are many types of blends, and you can also try original blends.

The biggest scam in the world, please don't go, it is absolutely a lie that it is something special, even the waiters' uniforms look shabby, not to mention the food, any 5-year-old child makes those sandwiches, the biggest mockery I have ever had in my life. The sweets are lousy, the atmosphere is NOT chic, you can buy the desserts at any bakery for €1 and as if that were not enough, they gave us less macaroons than we were given. In other words, they only gave us 1 per person and at the other tables 2 per person, it's nothing out of this world but for what it costs it's very annoying.

Great experience here. Our waiter was lovely and took time to explain all the afternoon tea menu options (Sweet AT, savoury AT, vegetarian AT) and went through the tea menu. The atmosphere is great and the quality of food up to a high standard. If you’re looking for a solid London Afternoon tea experience then this is a good option.

Lovely building and interior but let down massively when I paid over £100 for the experience only to be left with intense stomach pains and food poisoning within 12 hours of eating here. I contacted them on WhatsApp and was passed around to 3-4 customer service team members over 2-3 days with no resolution. Eventually I was given a form to complete after complaining and had no response for a number of weeks. Eventually told it was “investigated” but it couldn’t possibly be caused by them. Offered no compensation or apology whatsoever. terrible customer service. Go somewhere else!

Don't go, because it's a robbery. The prices are ridiculous. The food is really disappointing. The sandwiches that I make at home are a thousand times tastier. The sweets are nothing special. Exorbitant prices for the quality of the products. I really don't recommend it

Had the vegan afternoon tea for the wife's birthday. Not totally convinced, it's worth the money. We had one rude waiter, who bought out the food and basically stated, do you want me tell you what's on the plate (words exactly), so made him explain the lot. Our host and another waiter "Christian" were great. Food overall was good, not sure about all the desserts.
