Always good quality food and at a constant standard. Basic pub grub but tasty and well presented. Currently an offer of 2 meals for £16. Good portion sizes.

Don't go there if you want to eat after 7pm. We were a party of 6 3 of us had bad stomachs 24 hours later. The frys looked like they were cooked twice and cold. The place was nearly empty by 830pm. I don't recommend this place at all.

Food was fine but we were made very unwelcome by the staff who reluctantly served us and were very eager to get rid of our party of 10 people by turning lights off around the premises by 10.30pm. I will NOT be returning as this place has gone down hill rapidly.

Love it here. Good food at low prices That was then. This is now Recently changed ownership. The prices have now risen. I had Gammon with chips and mushy peas. I got charged an extra 1£ for an egg (or Pineapple) I think the value is now not so good I would suggest a rethink on prices or lose your customers

The place was filthy and the staff have zero customer service skills. After seeing the state of the bar, we decided not to eat and left after a really weird tasting pint of Guinness.

Brilliant pub with amazing food and friendly service! You can tell all food is prepared fresh and the desserts are so good! We go here regularly because we love it so much!

Overpriced. The two for £16 is about right. Worth it for this. If you are an odd number or want the full priced menu, there are much better places. The food is pub food at restaurant prices and the quality does not match up. Some staff are excellent and some just ok. I go out a lot in this area and if paying £15 plus for a main I would choose a better place.

Food was reasonably priced and well made. Nice that you could tell it was home made and not chain restaurant rubbish. Keep up the good work 👍

Booked 80th party for 21 guests for Sunday Dinner.Staff very polite efficient and attentive.Meal served to all guests very quickly. Everything cooked to perfection,nice and hot.I pre ordered as I thought it would help.Everyone very impressed with how it all went.Can highly recommend a visit if you haven't been there. We live local and have only recently visited here. Been a couple of times in the past month and both have been really positive experiences. Great value for money, good portion sizes, nice outdoor seating area and the Sunday roast yorkshires are amazing!

Nice pub. Decent parking. Good two for £15 meal deal. Very impressed with the value of the vegetarian lasagne. I had fish and chips which was fine. Seemed to be lots of people going in on a Friday afternoon but the place is pretty big and it didn't seem busy at all once inside. Didn't have to book and got a table no problem.

Been today for second time. Excellent food very tasty and very pleasant friendly staff. Very good value for money. Will definitely be going again

Not as good as it was on previous visits. Burger was greasy chips were not good. Greasy snd soggy. I had the wrap Yorkshire pudding beef wrap the bits that came.off the carving off the beef joint????. Always had a good experience here until today

Lunch with friend, lovely atmosphere, we had £15 for 2 menu, lots of choice, food excellent. I had Gammon my friend had Katsu Chicken, then we dessert. Beautifully presented and excellent .

Went there for a birthday meal with 19 of us, pre ordered food as requested by the staff... Food banging and service even better! No mistakes and food came at decent intervals. Many thanks again, would deffo return.

We love our local pubs and you can't get more top quality pub gub in our area than the Denby Lodge. Always consistently good quality food at affordable prices.

We went to the Denby Lodge for an 18th birthday party for our daughter. It was for a party of 16. We sat on a large table all together with plenty of room. The food and drink was superb and at reasonable prices too. The service was exceptional with all food served promptly to the whole table. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely go back. Thanks for a great evening!

Been a few times now whilst in Aberdeen. Last visit was poor. Toilets a mess, hadn't been check for nearly 5 hours (ex spoons employee, I checked the sheet). Came back to fi d dri k gone but plates not cleared and weren't for ages either.

Our first visit to Denby Lodge and we'll definitely be returning. Food was lovely, service was very attentive and Christmas decor was very pretty.

I visit here regularly as it's a nice 45-minute walk to get there after a day stuck looking at a computer screen. Very nice place, a lovely calm atmosphere. I'd visit anytime.

What a thoroughly lovely place. The decor is modern and very appealing. Everywhere was clean and tidy. The staff was really friendly and pleasant, and the Manager (?) welcomed us and chatted with us about our baby. The choice of food was good, and we chose from the " 2 meals for £15 " deal. When it arrived, it was really piping hot, well-cooked, and presented nicely. Desserts were gorgeous, too. We'll definitely go again soon.

Awful. Really bad. Surly staff is one thing, but the food was also dire. Mine was genuinely inedible! It has been a very long time since I have left food. The steak is cut straight from a shoe, the rest just seemed to be badly reheated frozen stuff. It's what used to be called 'meal in a basket' bar food decades ago. Very limited choice of beer. Will definitely not recommend or return.

Rude staff tried clearing away meals that we re still being eaten, food was not hot and very bland. When ordering sweets we were made to feel we we re putting them out no manners from older lady serving and taking our order felt we were putting her out

We walked in and the two staff behind the bar ignored us. Eventually we were acknowledged and we asked if we could have a table for lunch - very bad atmosphere and was shown rudely to a table. It was so bad that we didn't feel welcome and so we left. Have been many times and never had an experience like this. We won't be going back.

We came to love Denby Lodge as our place for a date night and over the last two years have visited weekly, also celebrated with birthdays with family members, today's vist was a shock that's all I can say. We ordered the same as usual two sizzlers one steak one chicken mine came out first it didn't sizzlel, but it never happened before! In all the time we have attended, I touched the metal plate it was hot but not as it should be(two weeks prior I did thus by accident and rightly so got a blister) not a problem lesson learned. I informed the person serving us as my wife's was delivered as it should be. I asked for it to go back and informed this person I don't want anything else... never asked for a refund and proceeded to eat the chips. The person who served me brought the refund back, and then proceeded to inform me heres you refund your meal was hot you never tried it we won't be serving you again. I did say it wasn't sizzering as advertised the person said that is was when it was placed on the plate. I informed our server how frequently we vist the response was I know we won't serve you again. We then left in disgust without eating our meals, in all the years we have dined out we have never been treated in such a manner like this.

Great place for a drink and a meal ,the steak was just right

Took my mum for the 2 meals for £15 offer, as she really loves the small Beer battered fish and chips. She can't eat much because of health conditions and age They said there wasn't any small fish left so she would have to order the Large fish at £12:50. So our bill for food came to £21 instead of £15. I said cut the fish in half but thet said they couldn't. We go there alot so was disappointed they couldn't accommodate a pensioner who wanted a small fish.

Beautiful pub, the decor was lovely. The staff were welcoming and attentive. The food was really nice and well presented. I noticed the hygiene within the building was very good also. The venue is definitely for all ages and I felt I was very welcome there. I would definitely recommend this pub/restaurant.

We went on a spur of the moment meal out. Pub and restaurant has a lovely decor but as soon as you walk in it's full of young staff who just talk amongst themselves and clearly don't really want to be there. There is no atmosphere and almost empty which speaks for itself. The drink order was wrong as the server was too busy talking. The food was nice a bit overpriced but enjoyable. The service and whole ambience let's it down badly. This could be a jewel in the crown but needs a staff and management overhaul and some serious changes otherwise like the neighbouring Bulls Head it will soon be shut

On Monday I telephoned to book a table for lunch for Tuesday and requested that we sit at our usual table (13). I was told that this was OK but we we arrived someone else was sitting at our table. No explanation from the staff. The restaurant had run out of the pumped beer. My wife ordered tachos as a main course. It was a very small serving. Finally the restaurant would not accept my Amex card. Four things wrong on one visit makes me want to avoid this place.

My partner s lamb was lovely. I opted for the beef which was extremely tough. These were the Sunday roast options.

I've never been here before, parking was no drama, big car park, the food was average, the service was ok, would I come back, more than likely not, there are much better places locally to visit but never say never.

Not a bad pub , decent food and service at a reasonable price . The 2 for £15 has plenty of options that are very nice . Needs an alcohol free beer on draft for us drivers who would enjoy a beer or two with our meal but other than that no complaints

Unbelievably fast service! We visited at a very quiet time, but I still have no idea how they managed to get our orders out so quick. The food was fantastic too so they definitely didn't skimp on the quality to up the speed! A huge recommendation if you're in the area

Had a family get together for my 60th birthday and there was 25 of us. Spoke to Sally to book it and we pre ordered starters and mains. The service was great. Food was served quickly and was fresh and hot on arrival. Between us we had a varied choice of the menu and it was clean plates all round. Thank you to the staff and chef for making my birthday such a lovely occasion. Can highly recommend.

My wife and I dined here with another couple as we all wanted to try the 2 dine for £15 menu. I was very skeptical about how good the food quality would be for such an incredible price point, but the food turned out to be extremely good and not just £7.50 a meal good, but some of the best fish and chips I've ever had in any pub good! DO NOT be put off by the price thinking it will be subpar in quality, as the food we were all served was absolutely fantastic and a credit to the pub they they can achieve this! In fact the menu does the pub a disservice as it reads 'small fish and chips' on the menu and it's anything but! as it's a proper plate full and a big fish served, so I remove the word small altogether. We all had puddings and coffees afterwards and again they were excellent, served with plenty of custard and the lattes served hot. The staff were excellent, very friendly and genuinely putting effort into giving their customers the best service. It's no surprise I can't recommend enough trying the 2 dine for £15 menu and I'll definitely be back to sample more of the menu. I just wish the pub was closer to where I live so I could visit more often!

I had salmon with asparagus and New potatoes it was probably the best salmon dish I have had for a long time 4 stars

Steaks and food is reasonably priced. They sometimes have offers on food at certain times. Bar area is dog friendly.

Really nice Christmas lunch all hot and served with a smile, the staff worked hard looked after our party really well. Returned end of April, still the same standard, but being there near closing time a bit disappointing that staff were vacuuming the carpets and other cleaning jobs / prep for next day while we were still eating. Leaves you feeling railroaded and rushed not what you want when you're eating and have just spent best part of £30 a head on food and drinks.

Went today to celebrate my dad's birthday. Traditional pub. Efficient service. Sirloin steak cooked to perfection. Good ambience. Thank you for a memorable day.
