Great little boozer with fantastic food. Both Had the chicken tikka masala and popadom, missus had banofee pie and I had sticky toffee pudding. EXCELLENT. Young barmaid serving was ever so polite and studious. Beers and wine were top notch Seats load of people and has interesting decore and wall items to keep everyone amused and entertained.

We visited on their Greek night (30/8/24), what a delicious meal, food is always excellent here, we could never fault it. All the staff last night were amazing, super friendly always polite. They were very busy and they still continued to be polite and smile. Thank you to those girls for making our evening feel special. We had a problem with our bill and they corrected it straight away with no fuss. We highly recommend The Denbigh :)

Can’t quite put my finger on why we weren’t so keen! The food was very good and the staff were friendly and fairly quick but the whole place looked a bit dated and the toilets were not up to expectations - a deep clean is needed. Also, small things like the table mats ‘sticking’ to the sticky table, left us not overall very impressed. But we certainly could not fault the delicious food!!

The best food in all of Bexhill made even better by the service of the waitresses, especially Charly. I enjoy my visit each time and Charly gives 200% at her job to everyone who walks through the doors. She is truly a gift to the pub! Also, a shoutout to the lovely Fred in the kitchen who makes the incredible desserts which not only taste incredible, but look like they should be in a magazine!

I think I have never given a full five star review on Google before... BUT this pub is tops! Sensational food. Steak and kidney pudding. Awesome dessert. Crumble and custard tart. And absolutely top notch service. So different to corporate pubs (Greene King blah blah) in the UK, with their frozen deep fried nonsense. Do yourself a favour and stop in here!

wow, what can I say, this place is like a timewarp, I haven't seen a pub like this since the early 80s, I think all of the interior, including the coats on the rack by our table and the many extension leads under my seat, really added to the nostalgic leap back in time. Unfortunately, we were greeted by a friendly lady who showed us to our table and happily advised we had a choice of two, one by the gents and one by the ladies, both of which had the 1980s charm of eau de piss. The carpet was something of a magical mystery, i think Alladin had used the stair carpet on numerous occasions for some of his epic journeys, as it was particularly grubby, if only he had used one of his wishes to scrub it up a bit. Moving on to the food, the fish pie was something of a wonder, we wondered where the fish was, on the plus side there was lots of mash potato in it. The Morrocan stew, was a bit confused, it was more of a runny soup with a side of couscous. The fish and chips, however, was good but the fish, ironically, resembled a camel toe, but a tasty camel toe, so all good there. We browsed the dessert menu but disappointed there was no1980s style black forest gateau, we sadly declined. The toilets were a sight to behold and only further showed the good humour the pub owners must have. A triumphant brown toilet with its gleaming white seat and little flower arrangement on top. All in all, the whole experience was one we wont forget, the day we went back in time.....

Stopped by for a Thursday lunch and was very pleased with the welcome. Enjoyed a nice pint of Harvey's Best and had a ciabatta with melted brie, bacon and cranberry which is served with a lovely side of leaves and coleslaw. The Denbigh sits right on the main A259 road just west of Bexhill town. It has an old-fashioned feel, which I like, seems popular too as rather well attended. Will almost certainly be going back again.

Visited for a Sunday roast. Overall was OK. Very young waitresses, some have more experience than others, all very sweet and trying their best. We were seated at the top of the pub, with all the miss mash stuff. Left over valentines decorations aswell as Christmas. Plastic table cloths, not very welcoming. Pile of something in the corner with a blanket over it... Wouldn't take much, replacing the carpet, lick of paint and a declutter.

The Denbigh in Bexhill is a culinary gem that left an indelible mark with its fantastic food and inviting atmosphere. My dining experience was elevated by the standout dish, the bacon and brie ciabatta, a delightful creation that embodied perfection on every bite. The combination of crispy bacon and creamy brie, nestled in a warm ciabatta, was a culinary masterpiece that surpassed expectations. Beyond the delectable menu, The Denbigh exudes a friendly and inviting atmosphere. The staff's warm hospitality added to the overall charm, creating a welcoming environment that resonated throughout the visit. Whether it was the attentive service or the cosy ambience, every aspect contributed to a memorable dining experience. The attention to detail in both the food and ambience showcases The Denbigh's commitment to providing patrons with not just a meal but an unforgettable journey for the taste buds and the senses. For anyone seeking a culinary haven in Bexhill, The Denbigh stands as a beacon of excellence, promising a delightful fusion of flavours and a welcoming atmosphere.

Went for Sunday lunch and had the medley roast. A generous portion of quality meat, and a nice selection of vegetables. Would definitely have this again. One suggestion, it would be great if the medley came with the gravy on the side rather than already on the plate. Different people like different quantities of gravy! I have a feeling this is the pub I stopped at during my big "driving in the UK" adventure back in July... the rental car company gave me a Mercedes and I had ZERO idea how to read the gas gauge and was afraid I needed to refuel ASAP. Disappointed thought would be nice friendly welcoming pub. The atmosphere was so disgraceful you could cut a knife through it, I felt so unwanted and uncomfortable. When you walk in nobody says hello, and on the way out nobody says bye. Sandwich was cheap rubbish, for £8 at least buy decent bread! The crusts were cut off which was probably mouldy. Also very dirty. Definitely won’t be returning.

I first went to the Denbigh in the eighties and of course, they’ve changed hands I don’t have a clue how many times, that is owners or management. However, one thing for certain is it remains a highly valued local pub. The inside hasn’t changed much but maybe I just don’t remember but who cares. It is a great place to socialize with friends. Over the years they've really updated the patio. It is a very pleasing outdoor space. And don’t fret in those awkward spring or autumn weather cuz they have heaters outside!!! Service was friendly and attentive last time I went and the food was very good!!! I highly recommend this pub for a quick bite with family or get together with friends!!!

Booked a table of 6 for Father’s Day, were put on a table that would fit 4 right by the front door clearly not enough space for 6 people with people passing through to leave having to constantly move out the way. Asked if we could move somewhere else, lady said we could have a bigger table… then someone else promptly gave the table to other people after us waiting at least 20 mins to move. Then had to ask again to be sat at a proper table for 6 people not just a table for 4 with 6 knives and forks. Finally moved table and ordered our food, starters came out promptly.. we then waited around an hour for our mains with other people who had arrived Much after us getting their food, we asked where our food was to which the lady replied “oh it’s been given to another table” was an awful experience we got up and left. They gave us our drinks on the house which was completely expected, after waiting all together 1 hr 40 mins with no mains- if we hadn’t of asked we would have been sat waiting even longer. Ruined our Father’s Day and couldn’t then find anywhere else to eat dinner.

First time visit and we were thoroughly impressed. The family have just moved to the area and the staff were extremely welcoming, as well as the locals. Andy was front of house as well as our server. We had a lovely cosy clean table with enough space for a buggy. Superb and exciting choices of food on the menu, (some options being "off menu" meant to us that food was fresh and in demand!) The food was excellent quality, ample portions and extremely tasty. Definitely recommend the dessert menu, you can't go wrong! We went here for dinner with our dogs at the end of our vacation. We met super nice waiters who even brought the food to our table, even though it was right in front of the pub and not inside in the great beer garden. People are dog-friendly here, we were asked several times for water for our four-legged friends and we felt very comfortable with so much warmth. The staff were young and inexperienced and rushed off their feet. When our food finally came the portions were good and the vegetables were freshly cooked. However the nut roast was full of peanuts, my partner and I eat nut roast out all the time and have never had one filled with peanuts, obviously cheaper to make . Unfortunately the roast dinner was average, especially for £17pp we was expecting to be a bit more wowed, very little (as thin as possibly cut) meat and 3 underdone roasties. You do get individual portions of veg and lots of extra gravy which was lovely. The desserts were big & delicious so that made up for it! Also the kids roasts came out just as big and as adults and their pudding beautifully presented!

I have lived in Bexhill for 19 years and the Denbigh has always been our go to pub. All that changed a few weeks ago, a friend was visiting and as usual went for Sunday lunch. I love a roast lunch, but without the meat. In the past it's not been a problem, extra Yorkshire puds, potatoes and veg, not this time. My friend ordered Lamb roast and got Pork, Sent it back but had to have Beef as the Lamb had gone. Not sure if it's under new management or new chef, but won't be going back to the Denbigh for a while. Extremely disappointed, certainly not up to their usual standard.

Hi, I've just experienced the most unorganised wake, myself and my brother also sister over a two week period expressed our concerns of not specifically being heard of our arrangements, I felt that the management were not answering our questions and yet the staff were so welcoming and understanding of our needs as a family, the whole experience was lovely only due to the staff putting themselves far and beyond what was necessary and yet the management were rude, obnoxious and totally uncaring of the fact of not only customer care but also are mother whom had passed and we as a large family were celebrating her 84 years of life .

Review from a vegetarian diner. Sat outside, very nice and the halogen heaters made a difference when it started to get chilly. Service was ok. Friend has a food allergy and felt confident this was taken seriously after she told the waitress. Service ok, food arrived in reasonable time, although not very busy as week night. My hummus starter was bland, and underseasoned. The one in buy in Aldi is tastier. My main course was a vegetable burger, appeared to be home made but wasn't that great. It was topped with cold feta which needed toasting first in my opinion.the chips served with it were lovely. My friends enjoyed their puddings. As my main course was £14, I wasn't impressed with my meal but we had a nice evening overall.
